• Buggy's dysphoria comes and goes with severity, but it takes a bit to really pinpoint the things that make her uncomfortable, then it takes longer to work up the nerve to communicate it to her partners.

• she's got a healthy amount of weight, so sometimes she can just convince herself that she's just a little flat chested, but still chested though. no matter what time period, or character arc your in, he's always shouted for your attention in his own way. from the time you were just a girl—another brat on roger's crew, to the present where you've met with ivankov and became a man and a revolutionary. from pretending to do something grand, or taking credit for something shanks did on an island, he was always trying to impress you. even more so now that your a famous pirate and revolutionary, even more famous and strong. even more so now that your a man—that made his little gay heart jump at the sight of you.

and no matter how stupid he looked, whether it be trying to take credit for someone else's work, or fighting shanks, you always gave him your attention. the laugh that left your lips, and the smile that graced your face when he would do something goofy made him blush. it made him more determined to him have your eyes on him, no matter what he does, good or bad. he just needs your love.

a simple look of disapproval from you would bring a sting to his heart. he tried to be cool! he tried to get you to notice him like you did when you were on roger's ship. however, he went about it the wrong way.

how stupid could be, forgetting that you are in fact a revolutionary? the look you had on your face, a mix of digust and he could swear anger, when you heard of the "audience" he had aquired sent an arrow through his heart. and it wasn't cupid's type of arrows. how could he forget the reason you joined dragon in his efforts to destroy the world government. idiocy. it was idoicy on his part, and he desperately hoped you didn't hate him. if you were to hate him? there's no telling what buggy may or may do.

he deserved getting his ass beat by the ragtag pirate crew known as the "straw hats." he deserved having his plans ruined, and maybe you liked it? did you think it was what he deserved? if you did, then that it was.

and the anxious feeling he felt when he pulled back together the broken peaces of his "freaks" and heard that you were in the east blue was one like no other. just a few islands away, there was the man he's been craving attention and love from. he desperately hoped you would grant that silent wish of his.

of course, he was curious as to what a big shot like you was doing in the east blue instead of the grand line, though he didn't think on it too much. all was focused on was the image of your smile directed in his way.

it was only a "coincidence" that his ship pulled up right next to yours—looking quite small in comparison he might add. it was only a "coincidence" that he appeared at the same bar you were in out of 5 others on the island. it was only a "coincidence" that he happened to sit next to you at the bar when he ordered a beer. "buggy?"

the calm, smoothness of your voice made his heart flutter and he looked in your direction, pretending he "hadn't noticed you," as if he wasn't staring at you in the corner of his eyes. "whhaaat?! your here? shock—errr..."

you chuckled at the nervous chuckle he let out after his words. you always happened to love the way he speaks. the inflections in his voice and how constantly excited or host-like he seemed was adorable to you. although, you'd never out right say that. buggy hesitantly started the conversation, carefully asking what you were doing in the east blue, dodging questions about his circus in fear it'd bring that expression back.

he was awkward and like his 13-year old self again, he awkwardly blurted out his wish to converse with you longer, but elsewhere. "to learn about the revolutionary army," he said, and you clearly knew otherwise. everyone in the bar new otherwise. his crew, your crew, the bartender, and innocent bystanders could look at you do and practically see the tension the two of you have. "sure, we've booked an inn nearby," you suggest, walking backwards out of the bar while looking at him. you gave a quick glance and a smile to one of your crew, which he assumed was your right hand. the two of you talked with your eyes, and the man nodded back and started whispering to the other members of your crew.

"c'mon, bugs." you nod towards outside with the door propped open by your foot. bugs?! well, that means your not mad. his heart thumped and he silently gave orders to his crew and happily ran walked behind you.

you could see his puppy eyes, hell, they matched his behavior, following you to the inn like a lost puppy. cute.

buggy silently begged for your attention, your affection, wishing you could read his mind and look at him, smile at him. he desperately wished you were focused on him. he, of course, got his wish when the two of you arrived at the room you booked in the inn. his heart leaped at being so close to you after so long.

his breath hitched and his heart thumped when you looked up at him as you sat on the edge of the bed. his breath hitched when you told him to take off his fur-lined jacket, when your hand accidentally grazed his bare arm. his heart thumped when you got close to him, when your smile was wide and bright, begging for him to talk. his breath-hitched and halted when you smashed your lips against his. his heart thumped when your hands massaged his sides and slid off his striped, red tunic. his breath became ragid when you touched him all too delicately, prepping him for you. he swore his heart jumped from his chest from when you first slid into him and touched his prostate.

his eyes watered from your tender touches. fat tears rolled down his cheeks as you were being so gentle with him, cooing and reassuringly squeezing his thin waist. he only wanted to cry more when you missed away his tears and whispered the sweetest things to him. buggy the clown, a feared pirate of the seas, was crying because he finally felt the love and attention he so craved, specifically from you.

it would be you and only you who could do this him. you were the only one who could fuck him this good and reduce him to tears with your love.

buggy didn't think you loved him. no one loved him, so he'd buy that love, or make people love him. but the genuine love he felt from you was something he'd never experienced. it tipped the scales and nothing could hold a candle to it. to you holding him delicately, wiping his tears and kissing his lips with an "it's okay," with an "im here, baby." nothing would ever be better than this and he hoped and prayed to whoever would listen that this would last forever. that he would always be able to feel your warm touch and your love till the day he took his last breath.

his trembling lips mumbles an "i love you," and the moment you say it back, "i love you too, buggy," in the sweet voice of yours, he looses it.

no matter when or where, he will always crave your attention. and now, he was always get it. he'll always be fulfilled, he'll always be loved, by you. by the only person who dared to pay attention to him and grant him affection. he'll ask you to tell him you love him every day, every few hours. "do you love me? tell me you love me." "i love you, bugs." even when you put a ring on his finger and kiss him, promising the world, he'll still get insecure. "do you—do you still love me?" I'm experiencing some Emotions atm so I'm gonna project on my little clown man -

TW for talks of periods

Trans masc Buggy who can't get cut/stabbed/sliced/diced. The availability of hormones and HRT is limited due to both canon scientific development and micromanagement from the government. He's a chemist, so he can synthesize his own HRT ((and has the survival instincts to know they NEED medical professionals, so he probably shares that info with them)), but it's not a one and done type of deal.

In Impel Down, he wasn't able to access his T. He was in there for a few months, so he was having hormone shifts there for a hot minute before finally being freed. It's one of the reasons he kept his stubble - it helped with the dysphoria.

He gets out, gets back on track, keeps the stubble bc it helped, he liked it, etc. He had a few times where he wanted to shave again but decided against it.

Now on to the Evil Polycule.

Crocodile and Mihawk's take over and implementation of Cross Guild came with some changes to the budget, including Croc just putting a full stop on Buggy's chemicals for a time. He decided to bite the bullet and send what he had to the pharmacists to keep them afloat bc he's actually a good captain. He just.. has limited meds for himself.

So it's a few months into the Guild, Buggy has been off T for a little while now, he's not having too many issues, they're all starting to get to an even keel, and they're even expanding the budget for the chemicals for the pharmacy and also his tools for his weapons. Things are looking up!!!

And then... Buggy starts his period.

And he is spiraling.

He holds up in his room, wrapped in a blanket cocoon, in the dark, curled up tightly against the cramps that are hooked into his abdomen and the sudden wash of dysphoria. He's usually better about this. He usually doesn't struggle this much. Somehow this is worse, he doesn't know why, but he is not okay.

He's not okay at all.

Mihawk and Crocodile are left waiting on him for a meeting. And when it hits a certain point, they're angry, annoyed, and they go looking for him (they are not concerned, they tell themselves, they're not-). They find Alvida, Galdino and Ritchie in the clown's quarters. Ritchie actually gives a warning growl, eyes lidded but sharp. Alvida pales but meets their gaze head on. Galdino is shaking like a leaf, but he doesn't back down.

That alone starts ringing alarm bells.

They ask, they get vague answers at best, and then Mihawk catches the scent of blood. He moves in a swirl of black-and-gold, straight to Buggy's room, straight to Buggy.

It's a bit of a hot mess, but there's an understanding that grows. Crocodile understands, sharing a vulnerability of his own, asks tentatively if Buggy has ever reached out to Ivankov.

Buggy curls up further - as much as he can, at least, with Ritchie pressed against his lap and tummy, purring a storm with kitty worship eyes - and admits that he has. Iva's hormone treatments are injections, and while some devil fruit abilities can circumvent others, that's not the case for him. They've tried. The only option to make it work is seastone or sea water on/around Buggy, which could impact the hormones or Iva's abilities as well.

Also, Buggy admits with grit teeth, Iva's tendency to force sex changes as a punishment rubs him the wrong way.

He tells the two dark haired men about his medicines, how he makes them himself and how his stash has been running low; tells them how he had thought he had enough until the shipment came in with the stuff for his weapons making and the pharmaceuticals; he tells them how he'd given his spare stock to the med tents when they joined because of the denial for the existing budget Buggy had in place.

They feel guilty with the realization.

They decide then that since their actions led to this, it is only fair that they assist. Mihawk brews a tea for Buggy's cramps, Crocodile uses his sand as a heating pad, cool fingers brush through Buggy's hair to help with the migraines, a warm hand and hook help support Buggy's weight when the pain crescendos and leaves him gagging.

Between them and Buggy's usual crew, it's the most cared for he's felt since before a booming laugh was cut shirt by swinging blades and a grin splattered messily onto cobblestone beneath sheets of rain.

Cross Guild romance AU -

Buggy makes his own explosives, which doesn't sound all that important until you sit back and think of the ramifications and knowledge required for that. Buggy is damn good with chemistry, math, physics, and I bet he was the brain to Shanks's brawn on the Oro Jackson; he'd probably have been all over Crocus whenever he could to learn more about anything and everything.

Crocodile and Mihaw don't really put the two together, given that they see Buggy primarily as an idiot and coward. It's when an epidemic spreads on the island that some odd things click into place-

Buggy has forgone the big costume, is in comfy and sturdy clothes. His face is painted minimally, hair tied into a tight bun, bandana on, and he's working side by side with the medical professionals. He's elbows deep in checking vitals, organizing charts, and even synthesizing medications. More members are sick than not, and they go under a near-quarantine lock down to handle the illness. Between working in the medical tents and taking care of his people, Buggy has also had a hand in organizing for resources to be sent and delivered.

Neither Croc nor Hawk had even considered some of the balls Buggy has gotten rolling. They both have very strong immune systems, so they rarely face or think of illness or sickness as something to prepare for or to account for, but this just exploded one day seemingly without warning, and the clown had a plan in motion by eevening.

It's at this point that they begin to wonder if maybe there's something more to their Chairman than they first thought...

((Bonus points, they catch Buggy coming back from a long shift at the medtent, sent off by the other's to get some rest, so he's just at that sweet spot of tired enough to lose filter. They ask about the medicines, and Buggy goes on a mini infodump about chemicals, hormones, enzymes, antioxidants and antibiotics, mentions that he and a few others already have a few batches baking, and sleepily chuckles about how "the simpler ones seem to work well so far, thank goodness. I was worried... *yawn* that I'd have to dip into my supplies for my testosterone... *falls asleep at the table*.

Croc just becomes the Spiderman meme of "TRANS???" when Buggy wakes up))

I LOVE this is an understatement, this is so good!!! I love Competent!Buggy so much!!! Why can't the clown be a fucking genius while being clown-failure babygirl he is?

Buggy having a plan by evening is because he has so much anxiety, I mean, look at the poor clown! It's always the things that he didn't think of that happens that gets him in trouble. But this, he can do this. I also love the headcanon, that Buggy learn a lot of things from Crocus, so he has this in the bag!

It would be funny if Buggy could be fine in a really bad pandemics, but the flu and whatever the happened near Laugh-Tale is his biggest sickness problems. What am I saying, back to this cool ask!

Buggy being competent because he doesn't want his crew to die or get really ill, not because he needs them to work, but because he wants them healthy and happy. Buggy forgoing the pillow onesie for something better, and not taking that much time on his makeup is so good, that just shows how he priorities his Nakama before himself is so cute! I have a headcanon that Buggy has a least a Field Medic degree or a Nurse one. Mihawk and Crocodile watching at the sidelines is what I see them doing, because like the clown's being competent and they see there's not much they can do in this.

Yes, on Buggy rambling on and on about things he does, I want Buggy to infodump so hard. Like really really hard, Buggy could go on and on about things that interests him for a while.

Buggy is every gender and nothing at all to me, and the spiderman meme with Crocodile is the only one pointing at Buggy while Buggy is confused and sleepy, while Mihawk is just there on the sidelines. Is really funny to me.

Okay, for those who don't know the Crocomom theory, it basically is a giant fan theory that hinges on the fact that a significant group of people think that Crocodile is actually trans and Luffy's mom, as in the biological mother who gave birth to him. Let me break it down for you because it could be possible. There's actually a lot of evidence for this, but I don't have time to explain everything. But someone in the comments or reblogs can do that

In One Piece, complete gender reassignment is canon because of Emporio Ivankov and their devil fruit, The Horu Horu no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants the user the ability to create a variety of special hormones that can alter the recipient's body in any way the user desires, making the user a Hormone Controlling Human.

So, if you couldn't already tell, their gender is fluid because they switch between the male and female forms at will, and they're inspired by the iconic Tim Curry character from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. They're also a founding member of the Revolutionary Army because who better to take down the oppressive authoritarian regime.? Then, the person who is the literal ruler of an island of genderqueer people

I tried to find the gif of their powers in action where they changed someone's gender, but I couldn't find a high-quality one. I searched all of Tumblr and the internet, so someone wants to share that in a reblog

But because there is a person that can permanently change a person's gender at will in a matter of seconds, you will find a lot of headcanons or theories that a character is trans, like with the case of Crocodile. Who knows Emporio Ivankov from sometime in their past, and we don't know how or why, so speculation went wild. Because why does someone seek out Emporio Ivankov other than for them to perform their "miracle"? Which is what a lot of people refer to as their ability to change someone's gender in the universe

And I am not kidding. Just about any character you can think of, someone will argue they are trans somehow. So, in the past, they were assigned one gender at birth. Somehow found, Emporio Ivankov now has the One Piece equivalent to a complete gender reassignment and is now living their best life as their new gender. I have seen trans headcanons for Crocodile, Ace, Zoro, Mihawk, Buggy, Shanks, Silvers Rayleigh, Smoker, Perona, Rob Lucci, and Kuzan. That list doesn't even include the Canon trans, non-binary, or gender-fluid characters, and there are several.

So welcome to the One Piece Fandom, where gender reassignment is canon and available, so every character could theoretically be trans if you want to speculate hard enough.

So, next time you look at Crocodile, You might want to consider that he might be Luffy's mom. And a possible former empress of Amazon Lily and possibly Whitebeard's biological kid or maybe a celestial dragon. God, there's a lot of fan theories that all rely on him secretly being trans

Hullo! I am Rory. I write about Buggy from One Piece and One Piece Live Action. I decided to cobble a list of things. Unless otherwise specified, the fics can be read as either Anime Buggy or Live Action Buggy. Also I really like using song lyrics as titles so that's a thing. (Also my main account is @thehohwitch)

It’s 2 the morning, might I present to you Cross (trans) Guild headcanons:

Mihawk has had both top and bottom surgery. He claims his top surgery was done by himself and indicated by the tone of his voice he is not joking. Evidence however suggests otherwise. Will he ever come out with the name of the surgeon who operated on him? Never, he enjoys the expression on people’s faces whenever he says he cut them off himself lmao. It’s really scary how unbothered he is when administering his own hrt.

Buggy unfortunately can’t have surgery of any kind but he’s lucky his devil fruit at least allows him the privilege of chopping off and reattaching his tits depending on if he really wants them in the moment. Being mid conversation with someone when a pair of honkers come flying by is very common on the Big Top and is no longer a shocker to the veterans of the crew. Newbies however freak out which Buggy finds hilarious so he keeps doing it. Because he can’t take shots, he uses testosterone gel—for which he has been banned from touching people for a few hours after because he’s really bad at applying it completely.

Crocodile chose not to completely transform his body, however it’s not like his body would allow Ivankov’s treatment anyway. It’s an automatic defense for his body to dissolve into sand when punctured—unless when under anesthesia. He was able to take a low dosage of Ivankov’s power before his DF powers took over; he still has the puncture scars. He’s had top surgery but finds phalloplasty to be far too risky. If he’s honest, even the top surgery was pushing his anxiety which would only cause his body to go into defense mode more frequently. He takes t-shots no problem. Though he wishes to train himself to be able to take Ivankov’s ability more in order to fully transform his body.
