Two thoughts on this:

1) I love that we continue to see the lingering effects of Team Rocket's actions throughout the series, especially in this arc but also beyond. This isn't something exclusive to Pokespe, of course, but it takes skill to do it well without being overbearing, and I think Pokespe succeeds at that.

2) Fascinating that they chose this particular panel for the flashback. It was right in front of our noses the whole time.

Taking characters and or creatures from different series and turning them into Pokemon!!! PART 3

Hello frens! Today I have a Pokémon that is based off of Odysseus from EPIC: The Musical!!

Aneropup: anḗr (Greek root for “man”) + pup

A physical attacker with almost equal defenses and decent speed! They are a very loyal Pokemon with a righteous heart! They are difficult Pokemon for trainers to raise due to their stubborn yet clever nature!

It can learn moves such as Smart Strike, Force Palm, and Taunt!

My idea for its evolution method is for it to level up being the only non-fainted pokemon in a full party. You’ll see why with its evolution here :)

Trigun AU

I was crying over my exams, so I went ahead and doodled a little more on the dentist au to cope. Here are the headcanons I came up with lol

Livio

Originally, Livio was meant to be a coworker or even an assistant to Knives in his clinic but I had a revelation. I think there's two things he is most likely to be: A dancer and self defense trainer. No one really expects a bulky guy like him to be so free flowing like that. I think it brings such a fun vibe to him.

He has a space above Knives' clinic and can often be seen picking up children from the ground floor.

He grew up in the church with Nico so he's someone who values God.

He slouches as if to make him smaller. The guy struggles to be stern with his students.

Razlo

Razlo is most likely a prosecutor. Livio grew up in a dangerous and terrible environment before he was brought to the church, so Razlo can be fiercely protective over him. That doesn't mean he hasn't hurt him at some point.

Razlo is musically skilled. I like to think the two of them have a thing going on where Razlo starts playing a random tune out loud and Livio's starts vibing to that.

Meryl

She's a journalist. Well, more like a blogger. Milly and her grew up in the same neighborhood and that's how she met Roberto. In her mind, she admires him and his job. As she grew older though, she did come to realize Roberto isn't the flawless role model she always thought of.

She's very perceptive and quite the smart cookie, but tends to get ahead of herself when she's too excited.

Loud unintentionally. It does benefit her with her work at times, but hanging out with friends? Just bury her six feet under, won't you?

She's studying accountancy because. Just because. I see her being stressed out at the data she's had to recompute for the past hour because Vash is being too loud.

Milly

MY GIRLLLLL

She works part time in a cafe/ restaurant her family owns

Roberto is her uncle (DON'T ARGUE WITH ME)

She's really strong from the amount of groceries and stocks she's asked to carry by her family

Also studying accountancy because she saw how determine Meryl was with her studies.

I guarantee you she finishes the homework first and Meryl asks to doublecheck her answers to see if she (Meryl) got it correct.

Many would call her naive but really, she just likes seeing the good in people. Her parents raised their kids that way afterall.

Her family's restaurant is where the gang hangs out most days.

She's really into motocross and that's how she and Nico bonded over.

Isn't really sporty but will definitely join and demolish you in basically any sport. Basketball? Just try dunking that ball when she's guarding. Hockey? Bro those bruises are going to hurt.

She's got really good luck and she's also really good at board games.

She does tend to get overly emotional though and acts before thinking. Meryl is always quick to swoop in and steady her in these situations.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood

He's an actual priest. I know he has a lot of repressed feelings because of his duties. I mean. His entire inner monologue is just, "You shine so unbelievably bright. You create hope for the people around you like the very god I worship. But it's not like I'd kiss you on the lips or anything or...or whatever."

He's definitely looks older than he actually is.

Weak lungs when he was a child and he's still on medication. That doesn't stop him from smoking though. Everyone around him is always telling him to stop but his response is always, "They didn't fix my lungs just so I don't make use of them."

He can't grow a beard. The best he can get is his stubble and so he is so envious of Roberto's.

He's always dropping bible verses and then gets corrected by Knives about certain facts from the book. He hates him for it.

Legato

He's a fashion designer. He loves being in the field just not as the main focus anymore.

Elegant af in public and yet so unhinged with his crew.

He's got a wonderful voice; probs does voice acting on the side for animated shows/movies.

I like to think everyone takes a look at his work and then research him only to be jumpscared by his alt lifestyle on instagram.

He's cringe as hell to his friend group ngl. He'd sing his early 2000s Avril Lavigne in that overtly cartoonish emo voice.

He's a little obsessed with getting Knives to model for him after they shared one class in college.

Elindira

An influencer and Livio's business partner.

Much stricter on lessons and I think that's why they're compatible.

She's also a lawyer, because I can see her fighting an argument for Livio and winning.

She's very mature...when's not with Legato. Then they immediately link and start bickering like siblings.

She's the type to use a number of pet names for everyone.

Red sportscar. Red lipstick. In her pajamas and wearing cat-eyed shades while holding her head because of the hang-over she has but she still has to pick up the tiny menace from middle school. (Zazie)

She's a wine aunt and you can't convince me otherwise.

Never had a bad hair day in her life

Terrible blunt about things it honestly causes more harm than good but she won't ever lie to your face.

Vash

He likes collecting happy meal toys and displaying them in a glass cabinet in the family house dining room. This has translated to him collecting every single mascot figurine from business partners and local businesses around the area.

In high school, he worked part-time promoting Milly's family restaurant by spinning a sign around in a beat up rented mascot suit. No one will ever know who the kid behind that giant dog head was.

Mama's boy...cough

He dresses like an 80s rockstar or a biker but he's never actually approached a bike because of Mama Rem's constant helicopter parenting.

People just assume he's a 'bad boy' because he has a piercing and is a little full of himself at times.

When he's not interning at Knives' clinic, he's an emergency medical volunteer.

He's always been more of an 'I excel in theory but not in practice' guy.

He once made a patient's gums bleed and had them sobbing because he was too focused on getting on with the procedure he messed up the prep work.

He has a prosthetic because I think it's funny for boyfailure no.1 to randomly have the batteries die or it doesn't function correctly.

Dyslexic and was quite sensitive as a child so he often got picked on.

Knives

Boyfailure no. 2 is a well-known specialist who's always rebelled against his mom but still ended up following her footsteps in the field.

He's lazy. He really feels disgusted having to stick his hands in someone's mouth cavity, but dang does his morbid curiosity always win.

I like to think he's mellowed out here because Vash and him watched My Little Pony and at the same time Superbook. He's like super confused and yet enlightened by all these moral stories and going, "Yeah, you're right, Jesus. Twilight Sparkle did deserve better!" or something...

His older cousin, Tesla, always picks on him for going by Knives rather than the name their mom picked out for him.

Do I think Knives is a kid who decided to pick a chosen name when he was 12? Yes. Yes I do.

He excels objectively and fails miserably when it comes to subjective things.

He wears sandals. Rem always got him and Vash those Velcro strap shoes so he, although he doesn't want to admit it, doesn't know how to tied his laces. He also refuses to search it up because he's convinced himself that Vash has this wagered war of who learns from the youtube video first.

He has difficulty accepting affection despite having Vash and Rem around because as a child, Vash came first. He needed to be prioritized.

Trigun: Pokemon Trainer Vash

[Full Resolution]

I just really needed to draw my baby girl as a pick me up. This was a lotta fun to do as just a fun thing to see how far I've come with assigning pokemon teams, working with design elements and just playing around.

His outfit didn't end up being super creative, but I tried to give it a few details to blend easier with the pomeverse, tho im sure it could be done alot better.His team was fun to figure out, since Vash is a plant with some amazing powers I thought grass and fairy typing suited him. I gave him mostly grass pokemon bc of that, but added a togakiss for the angle motif he has and a snubull because he has a very puppy like personality. The nidoran was added as a reference to something the creator said about Vash having a more angelic and feminine gun, plus the Nido line coming in pairs.

Headcanons for some of my favorite fandoms!

Hey! Sorry for being gone for so long, I have IRL priorities to attend to. Meanwhile, here's some headcanons. It won't be too much, but enjoy anyway! :)

Trigun: (Stampede)

They don't speak any languages we speak on earth. Hear me out on this one, okay? Every human there is a descendant of people from earth and a lot of people aboard the spacecrafts were probably of different ethnicities. There's three ways this could go in terms of languages:

Everybody speaks different languages similar to the ones we speak here, Everybody speaks one common earth language since it's one they're all familiar with, or the people on that planet gradually developed one common language unlike any we speak on earth, obviously for the sake of safely understanding one another.

Pokemon

Ingo and Emmet, silly as they are, are both very strong and strategic mentally, especially before Ingo's disappearance.

I know this one seems a little obvious, but let me clarify: Ingo and Emmet are the subway bosses for a reason. They have to be strategic to be able to have challenging pokemon battles with trainers, make sure absolutely everybody is following the rules, and whatever other responsibilities they may have. I've read a lot of fics where these two aren't as intelligent as they really are. It's funny, but not quite what I imagined.

Also, I said before Ingo was brought to Hisui for a reason. I have a headcanon, like a lot of the fandom, that after Ingo disappears, Emmet slowly starts to lose it, but that goes for his job too. He doesn't quit or take a break, no, instead I feel like he tries to overwork himself and multitask to compensate for the fact that Ingo isn't there, but is slowly losing himself while trying to convince himself that everything will be fine and that Ingo's still here, but having to fill in for Ingo both at work and taking care of his brothers team is driving him into depression. He can barely think straight anymore. People he knows like his co-workers or friends often try to get him to take a break but when he does, he just spends his time trying to find his brother.

Ingo obviously doesn't recall his brother at all, but I feel like in Hisui he often overworks himself as well with his warden duties either in hopes that it'll spark a forgotten memory or that it'll drown out the unexplainable sadness he feels when starts to recall Emmet. For that reason, I feel like Lady Sneaseler and his team all worry about his mental health to an extent.

They weren't in Unova when it happened. Also, it might not have been specifically Arceus or Giratina. What if they were on vacation? It would only make sense, but if that's the case then where? Surely you'd think it was in Sinnoh which would be logical, but what if Ingo accidentally got caught up with Celebi in Johto? Or made a vague wish to Jirachi in Hoenn? There's a ton of possibilities.

Bungo Stray Dogs

This one's gonna cause some complaints, I just know it, but now that I think about it, Ranpo might be Aroace. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HEAR ME OUT! It's partially because I'm Cupio, sure, and I understand that different people have different types and all, but Ranpo, whether playfully or not, is always complaining about how everybody around him is inferior to him mentally. And for Ranpoe shippers, I don't wanna make you mad but I personally don't ship them, I think Ranpo likes Poe platonically. I know it's typical Ranpo behavior to brush things off and act nonchalant about things he doesn't care about, but he makes it very clear that he was friends with Poe. Friends. I know the real life Ranpo Edogawa was gay, but nothing about BSD Ranpo points to him being any more than good friends with Poe in my opinion. Again, just an opinion.

I like this quiet panel of Elendira in front of the bomb...I want to know what is your backstory? What has driven you to be such a devoted servant of Knives and wish for the end of humanity so much?

This whole fight is soo cool! Wonder if that's Razlo speaking or Livio, cuase it sounds more like Razlo, and I think they are kinda switching back and forth the whole time.

Oh, right. I kinda forgot another good reason why Legato hates Vash, which is Vash nearly killed Knives? :D Yeah that might get him a bit worked up.

I'm feeling a bit sorry for Legato here, because wow Knives, that was uncalled for? He's just worried for you, no need to be mean.

Phew, badass. Not gonna lie, doing these recaps and reading more has made me interested to dig into some Knives/Legato fanfics. There's a lot of potential for so many interesting ways to go about their relationship! Maybe when I want to get a change to reading my vashwood...

I thought at first he had been unconscious and his defense mechanism was a reaction of him passing out (you know, like Tessaiga and Inu Yasha in vol...uh 13 I think? Probably made me subconsciously think of that) so it's interesting to see he's still very much conscious, but at this point, no more able to controll his body and all of his plant mechanisms. The way Vash clings to his right arm is maybe him trying to keep his arm from transforming into angel arm?

Chapter 9:

Oof Legato got angeled.

Man I really like Legato as a villain! I mean sure, there are more nuanced villains out there, but in his unhingedness, his very clear motive, his adoration to Knives, and his absolute determination to make life a living hell for Vash, he's so fun to observe! Also curse you for hurting our son and so on.

And, good that he's happy...I guess?

Don't look so beautiful when you're crammed in between these Wolfwood panels, Vash, this'll kill me... (I am kinda wondering if it's really him thinking of that time or if it's just plot device for the scene? That would be confusing though, so I guess it's really that Vash is thinking about this now)

That response by Legato, I really enjoy that story-wise.

The way he's able to hold his ground against Vash's power is pretty badass! Most of the time he was stuck in some big man-holster so it wouldn't be obvious, but he's actually an impressive fighter!

But you're still shooting at my baby so I'm not admitting that out loud.

Kinda reminds you of that scene in the town where Vash and Wolfwood had been driven out, right?

Turning that around so that Vash's expression is better to see: look how terrified he is that his body's response will kill Legato here!

Aah and this answers my question in my last post, about how they knew about Vash. Isn't that kinda beautiful how every plant on this planet holds on image of Vash in their mind?

Uuuh Chronica is out there for revenge for Domina.

Those two! It's so wonderful seeing them helping out time and time again and just doing their best! Also that panel where they talk about Vash, so cute to see the different impressions he's made on them both! Different things have stuck out for them, which tells a lot about their own characters and their relationship with Vash. The last panel of Meryl thinking of Vash is also very cute! I personally like to think of her feelings towards him as platonic, but in that way, definitely a very strong love and trust for Vash...either way it's beautiful to witness!

Oh my god, they all believe in him so much...first Wolfwood, then Livio, and Meryl and Milly, too...

Turned this page around because I had to get a better look....you made him cry!! You made my boy cry!

And, I can post no more pictures but you know Vash just shot down the device.....Sir, not to question your way of fighting, but why would you want to give Legato a last chance to defy you with his full powers? I don't think this is such an excellent idea?

Well, that's vol13 for you. Again, more emotions were gained in this read through, emotions for black-coat Vash and Legato as well!

I've been arguing this for ages. If there was a crossover between the Trigun universe and the Pokemon universe and Vash was a trainer or just happened upon a lil' buddy, he'd absolutely have an Absol. (Mis) blamed for disasters, willing to use some sneaky, criminal Dark-type tactics (for a greater good in Vash's case, with a trusted trainer in the Absol's case), one who warns against disaster, Absols have that "grim reaper" scythe on their heads and one of Vash's nicknames (Maximum) is "The Gentle Grim Reaper"... Absols have an "angel" form when they''re super-maxed or whatever it was in whatever game that's in (Angel Arm and Plants, anyone?). Also, from one of the Pokedexes.... Absol does not like to fight. They will battle under a trainer, sure, but they don't prefer it and in their max-form, they are said not not like fighting because they fear for the safety of the other Pokemon. Absol is like... if Vash WERE a Pokemon.
