Ah... I suppose he is kinda dad material, lol. I struggled a bit as I just don't see him as yandere material... but I hope you enjoy it despite the wait!

Yandere! Platonic! Larry Concept

Pairing: Platonic

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Manipulation, Isolation, Dubious companionship, he's very tame.

I am almost unsure of how to go with this due to Larry's character.

He's so overworked with all his jobs and is quite literally... average.

He doesn't seem like he'd have it in him to be that aggressive of a yandere.

The most I can think is he'd be an excellent manipulator due to no one suspecting a darker side.

Despite all this... he would work for a platonic role in his obsession's life.

Like a mentor role.

Perhaps you challenge him as a student from the school and have decided to stick beside him.

Something that confuses him quite a lot.

Yet despite his confusion, Larry actually enjoys your company as a trainer and student.

He's always so busy... but seeing you meet up with him during work is a pleasant surprise.

Sometimes he gets so tired and hates dealing with others... but you manage to cheer him up a bit.

Larry no doubt sees you as his kid in some way for this concept.

He's way too busy to have a dating life, let alone have a child of his own.

So in a way... you're his kid in his eyes.

He allows you to come to him if you wish to talk or battle.

Larry's still very surprised you'd rather stay around him than any of the other Gym Leaders.

He can easily think of people more interesting to talk to.

Yet, no, you wish to talk to him... because he's so normal.

Or so you think.

Larry as a platonic yandere no doubt is protective.

It's evident when you speak to him about problems you're having at the Academy.

For example, maybe you have someone harassing you?

Larry has connections to the Academy... so he can speak a few words and claim how he's worried about you.

All while he comforts you the best he can.

Larry would genuinely hug you as you rant to him, your problems are struggles everyone experiences during life... so he'll help.

He would hate it if people made his protective behavior towards you a big deal.

He's just... looking out for you as a mentor figure.

He is not a big threat, you can barely call his behavior "Yandere" without going out of character too much.

The most Larry would do is manipulate you away from others.

Think... social isolation.

He gives you his phone number and often invites you to be around him.

He can help you with school, he can offer chat and comfort, soon he's manipulating you away from family and friends.

You really do ease his stress... he loves you around.

So... he get a bit upset when you're gone for too long.

At this point he's "adopted" you as his student.

Soon enough it's just you and him all the time... he's even smiling.

You may even go along with his manipulation and isolation... unaware of the red flags...

After all... isn't he just your average guy?
