k, so. Desmond finds his way, someway, somwhow, to the Star Wars universe and, after some tomfoolery, finds the kindergarten of the Jedi homeworld (whats the name again??? anywho) and goes *gasp* Little Ones! Must Protect' as you will, cause dadmond is dadmond.~ And so nothing back happens to the kids. Ever. cause Desmond knows soo many different ways to fuck shit up, and space magic cant defend against most of them.~ its late and my brain gave me a weird idea, and its yours now. have fun!~

Are we talking about Coruscant? Nonny, are we setting this before and during Revenge of the Sith which means we’re gonna get Darth Vadar/Anakin versus Desmond so that the kids will survive in this one?

Okay then, let’s see how we can make Desmond be part of the younglings' lives without him becoming a Jedi then (because Desmond’s Assassin upbringing don’t really line all that nicely with the Jedi’s rules).

So, for this one, I think it would be fun if Desmond was more like a distant ally of the Jedis who likes to just slip in and out of the Jedi Temple like he has a lifetime Disneyland golden pass and the Jedis do find him, mostly after he had already done what he was meant to do there (which is to talk to Mace Windu or Yoda or actually check their data without permission) and he’s always found with the younglings, teaching them…

Uh… not Jedi-approved skills and moves.

Or just playing with them in general.

Desmond didn’t plan for this to happen. He was just looking for Yoda to talk about some weird shit he found while taking out a separatist base after being almost eaten by some weird ass ugh creature (Desmond knew they have names but Desmond also a lot on his plate right now and names are the least of his concerns, no matter how exasperated his Bleeds are with his priorities) and he found Yoda training some of the younglings ‘clans’.

He was reminded of how Altaïr used to train his sons and other children born and raised in Masyaf and he felt his heart ache because being reminded of how gentle and understanding Altaïr was to his sons and the other children only made him feel all the more bitter over how harsh his training back on the Farm had been.

One of the younglings noticed him but he simply smiled and placed a finger by his lips to ask the youngling to stay quiet. Seeing the trust in the youngling’s eyes as he nodded before turning his attention back to Yoda’s teaching made Desmond realize just how… pure these children were.

They were protected from the danger of the outside world, isolated in this temple where all they would learn about were those approved by the Jedi Order.

Just like the Farm.

Desmond knew that the Jedis and the Assassins weren’t the same, hell, Desmond think a lot of the Jedi’s way of thinking is too idealistic for his taste, or maybe he’s just become too ‘jaded’ or something.

Either way, he saw just how dangerous it was for these younglings to simply be trained in the Jedi’s way of thinking, especially now that the Clones War have gotten even more dangerous for everyone.

Hell, Desmond could think of almost a hundred ways he could destroy the Jedi Temple given enough time and manpower.

Anything was possible at this point. Simply because Coruscant was the seat of the Republic right now doesn’t mean it would always be. It also doesn’t mean that the Jedis would always be seen as allies by these politicians.

Desmond had enough memories of Ezio to know how politicians and people in power could backstab longtime allies if they would profit from it and could get away with it.

So Desmond started visiting the younglings whenever he was in the area. They think he was sooooo cool and they enjoy the games Desmond play with them.

Their favorite is the “let’s hide from everyone” game where they all play together with Desmond and hide from everyone, not realizing that Desmond was teaching them how to be stealthy and stay hidden while going for the many ‘hidden’ or unconventional exits all around the temple.

So when Order 66 began, these younglings didn’t wait in one of the rooms of the Jedi temple. They remember their promise to Desmond and began to make their way to their secret hideout that Desmond always brought them to whenever they played the ‘hide from everyone’ game. They knew it wasn’t a game, of course, they saw the death and carnage on their way out of the temple but they also remembered Master Yoda’s words about why he turned a blind eye even though he knew about their regular ‘playtime’ with Desmond. About how they should stay together at all times and to go to that secret hideout if they feel like they’re in trouble or they feel scared and wait for Desmond or Yoda to come get them.

So they do.

They manage to stay hidden and get to the secret hideout…

But they were only safe for a few hours. Just enough time for them to try and calm each other down and those sweets that Desmond keeps in the hideout that he always gives out whenever he notices someone was a little down.

When the door to their hideout opens...

And they saw Master Skywalker walk inside.

They’ve seen him, of course.

They’ve seen him as he led the clone troopers into killing everyone in the temple.

They knew Skywalker wasn’t there to keep them safe.

So when Skywalker took a step inside their hideout, the more courageous and older of the children stepped in front of the others, hiding the smaller children behind them as they try to use the force to push Skywalker out of the room.

It proved futile because they were still learning and all it did was make Skywalker’s robes flutter behind him.

Just as Skywalker lit his lightsaber and take another step towards them, the roof of their hideout suddenly opened and Skywalker instinctively jumped back as a figure clad in white robes that the children were so used to seeing almost jumped on top of him.

Blood dripped from the small cut on the side of Skywalker’s neck as Desmond stood between him and the children.

Before Skywalker could do anything, Desmond threw something which he cut down with his lightsaber, causing it to explode near him enough to push him even further away.

Desmond didn’t let up, throwing two more bombs.

Skywalker backed away to dodge the bombs but these ones were set on a timer and they both exploded near Skywalker. Just strong enough to push him back.

Just strong enough to distract him.

To give Desmond enough time to slam his hidden blade in a secret panel near the door of the hideout, enclosing the entire hideout and…

Making it fall.

Before the children could think they were plummeting to their deaths, hidden propulsion activated as a robotic voice announce, “Monteriggioni emergency takeoff function activated. Initializing default flight plan 11092007. Activating cloaking system.”

I find it impossible for Optimus to be more than a million years old in this canon. In the least, he's older than 1000 years and since we have mfs that are canonically over 70 million years old(fagatron iykyk) compared to that, he feels like a dude in his early-to-mid-30's being the group parent.

I hate the fact that my brain put out a plot idea for a Veilguard longfic. (Obviously centering around Lucanis and Spite.)

Ironically it is based on the kinda conflict within the fandom/meta that results from how "clean" and "heroic" the Crows come across in comparison to past depictions of them. I mean, I said it myself: In Veilguard they feel a lot like Assassin's Creed. Like: "Sure, we are assassins and we kill for a living, but we only kill the really bad people! Pinky swear!" While in older material they were definitely also killing good people and also very much participating in human trafficking (especially of kids that would then get trained to be assassins).

I mean, heck, from Lucanis' stuff in The Wigmaker Job (the short story) we also know that he and Illario were abused by Caterina. He very much rationalized it as "But she only did it so we could survive", but it was still abuse.

However, something we definitely know also from that same short story about Lucanis is, that indeed, he does have somewhat higher moral standards than your average assassin. And we know that he specialized on killing mages.

Now, from what I now understand about the worldbuilding is the following: In most of the cultures outside of Tevinter, mages are not only very much controlled, but also met with a lot of distrust. Making it quite likely that a lot of mages who have a lot of political influence are Tevinter mages, which will probably also mean that most mages he ever got hired to kill were from Tevinter, and he killed probably a percentually higher amount of Venatori than the average Crow. (Correct me, if I am wrong in this regard, DA-nerds. This is how I am starting to understand the world.)

However, if you consider the end of his companion quest... (more under break, because spoilers.)

He becomes First Talon, which means that he will have to deal a lot more with Crow politics and what kind of contracts the Crows at large will take.

Here is the thing: Everyone is the hero of their own story. And given all we know, I have a good feeling of the general narratives that Lucanis lives by. He is the good guy, because he mainly kills the really bad mages, because he protects Treviso, and really, those that end up dead had it coming.

But again, in past stuff we absolutely know that the Crows took down good people, before they were paid for it.

My first reaction to the end of the game was: "Oh, I can make them worse, hehehe."

And I mainly just would like to explore with Lucanis having to deal with the... uhm... business model of a professional groups of assassins being pretty much: "We gonna kill anyone we get paid to kill."

And I generally like the idea of a character having to adjust their personal narratives bit by bit, because it is one of the hardest things for humans to do.

But also... I have a long list of longfics I wanna write - and I would need to do so much research.

Hawks Headcanons

Because I hyperfixate, and write, I have compiled a list of what Keigo/Hawks is like in my head. This is so I can reference it back and not keep changing things in the stories. I like consistency.

So, here we go, the list of head canons that I have for my beloved boy.

General

Yes, he has flown into a window. No he will not admit it.

Hawks can’t cook. He is used to microwave meals and quick meals like eggs, pancakes, bacon, ramen, spaghetti, and the like. Hence his love for chicken.

He has collapsed into bed without removing his gear more times than he would care to admit.

He is a bookworm. He loves to read. It’s one of his escapes.

His preferred genre is adventure, action, fantasy. Picture lotr, or noble knights doing good for their kingdom.

He likes to game. I would think Assassins creed, Witcher, LoZ, maybe even pokemon. He's not a hard-core gamer, but he dabbles in it.

He will zone out in a warm shower.

He loves sitting up high and looking at the stars and sky. His favorite place is the Kyushu tower.

He loves peace and quiet. It helps to calm his mind and allows him to think without outside stimuli.

His favorite pastime is allowing his mind to wander.

If he finds anything interesting or that he likes, he will research it to death.

He has RAD, depression, ADHD, hypervigilance, and hyper independence. Most of these are due to the upbringing of the commission. He also has abandonment issues. He hates leaving anything unfinished.

He DOES NOT trust people; this is due to the Commission. He always believes people are two faced. Even if people believe they are close to him, they really aren’t.

He has many layers to him. He is very complex. Most of the layers are barriers meant to keep people out and away.

He is insanely smart, despite acting oblivious.

He catches on quickly. Quick learner.

He has standards and morals, despite being morally grey.

Despite having rigorous training to control his features when emotions hit, some do slip. These micro-movements are specifically his wings and feathers. Puffing up, roosting, sharpening. These will give away his thoughts and feelings while his face is neutral. Only those close to him really notice it.

He has a mouth, and he uses it. It gets him into trouble. His wings and feathers usually get him out of it.

He will shut down and recharge after strenuous missions. This is the time when he likes to be alone and decompress, mostly sleep.

He has a soft spot for animals. He likes cats and dogs. He would love to have one day, but with his changing schedule, it would be hard to keep them. So, he sticks to the strays and the neighbors’ pets.

He would rather deal with kids than adults. Kids are much easier to deal with and honest vs adults who are shady and two-faced.

Despite being a ray of happy sunshine in public, Hawks is actually fairly quiet.

Hawks gets even quieter when tired. And it is noticeable. He doesn’t want to use the energy he has left. He also doesn’t want to say anything he would regret later. His filter is usually less during this time and he may say something that would sound mean when in reality it isn’t.

Despite being fast and quick, he is relatively patient. He doesn’t mind waiting, as long as it is for something he likes.

While praise is nice, from outsiders, it isn’t rewarding. But from someone he knows is genuine, then that is something.

Telling him thank you always makes him smile. Gratitude goes a long way with him.

He has Endeavor merch, but not as much as you think. A couple of t-shirts, a poster, and signed photo, plus a figure or two. But not a whole wall or closet filled.

Hawks is the kind of guy who is self-conscious about his wings. It has always been about his wings and what he can do, never him. He doesn’t like it when people see him and his wings or as his wings. He would rather have someone who can separate the two, and just see him as a human rather than his wings.

He sometimes uses his wings to his advantage and tries to make his personal bubble a little bigger.

His earrings are a sign of rebellion against the commission. Basically, saying you can’t control me or my body to them by doing it.

He would duck out of a massive party any chance he got. Whether it would be saying his partner was tired or phone call or whatever. He gets slightly overstimulated in large crowds, on the count of his wings picking up vibrations constantly, along with his wings also being big and not the best at keeping himself small and unnoticed.

Now for the fun random bits!

Hygiene

He smells like Marble. Beneath ozone and coffee.

He uses 3 in 1 body and shampoo when in a rush. But on days off he actually uses different soap and shampoo.

When in a hurry, he will usually shed his feathers so he can dry faster.

Hairbrush? What's that? He rarely styles his hair or brushes it. Usually one or two swipes with his hand and he's good.

Mint or spearmint toothpaste.

Quick rinse with mouthwash.

Food

He has a sweet tooth. He LOVES sweet coffee.

His go to is always chicken.

He is more of a savory kind of person.

He is a glutton when it comes to the food he loves.

Alcohol

He isn't an alcoholic. He drinks socially. He may have a beer or ale or cider every now and then, but he really doesn't drink. At parties he will have a wine or champagne. If it is a fancier party then a scotch, bourbon, or whiskey. Sometimes he will have a shot of sake.

Work and workplace

He is the kind of guy to give his employees merch as gifts. He will if he really doesn’t know what to get them.

He usually pawns new merch to try on his employees for feedback.

He does get to know his employees.

Sleep

He sleeps on his stomach or side. It is hard to sleep on his back with his wings, but he does sometimes. It is just uncomfortable. And gets wing cramps when he falls asleep with his wings bunched up.

He will sometimes shed most if not all of his feathers to sleep on his back.

His bedding is soft and fluffy. He has multiple pillows. He loves snuggling under his covers and duvet cover.

He is a pillow hugger. He loves his body pillows.

He sleeps in a loose t-shirt and boxers. Usually. He will sometimes go for sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt when it gets colder.

He is a furnace. He radiates heat.

Since I'll be posting a hell of a lot of AI stuff in the future...I guess I'll pin this here in case anyone's curious about how I made them😂(UPDATE: Currently I'm learning drawing so AI stuff will be much less than before, but I might still use it to generate things that I can't possibly draw out)

My workflow involves tons of inpainting, which essentially is "partially change the image using AI". It's a bit like Photoshop's generative fill but free (and better🤫). Inpainting can be quite time-consuming, but I hate seeing unignorable artifacts, so I try my best to fix them.

Model-usage-wise, I normally just use the original Flux dev (by Black Forest Labs)+LoRAs I trained+Other style LoRA/Concept LoRA (sometimes Redux too). I run the models with ComfyUI locally and I make my own workflows. I train LoRAs with Kohya's GUI.

Hehe I'm so glad I got sent a few of these! I'm gonna have fun rambling about aus now! Lots of rambling. I'm not kidding. This one at least is uh- long. Oops.

As I said before, a lot of my AUs are Ethubs focused, but hopefully you guys don't mind that! 😅

Soooo, let's see, which one should I start with, hmmmmmm. Let's go with one I was talking about with a friend a lot a few weeks ago!

And that would be -

Assassin Creed AU 🗡️ Well- it's inspired by Assassin's Creed anyway. I am not well versed enough on the series lore to do anything that sticks to it too closely. I wanted to play around with ideas a bit anyway. But I started playing one of the games again a while ago and that's where the ideas came from.

Assassin AUs have been done before, yes. But this one is mine!

Etho is an assassin, somewhere in the 18th/19th century, and has been with the Assassin's Brotherhood for most of his life. He's very good at what he does. He's smart, quick, and stealthy. Like a ghost with a knife. You won't know he's there until his blade has found it's way into your throat.

The Brotherhood consists of various other Hermits, including; Doc - retired assassin now serving as the groups main medic Tango - his targets often go out with a bang. or with fire. Grian - death from above Cleo - master of poisons and deadly concoctions Impulse - weaponsmith, where you go for a new knife or gun Zedaph - creator of gadgets and nifty tools and Mumbo - the spymaster. Kinda. Not really. Far too squeamish for assassin work. So he handles information gathering, sorting out jobs and targets, etc

They work together to take out criminals and other bad people who are causing issues in the area. As well as probably aiming to solve some sort of ancient mystery like in the games. (Though I haven't figured that part out yet.)

The story is mostly focused on Etho, a lot of what I have is about his and Bdubs' relationship too, but there's other stuff as well. Rambling continues under the cut ~

Etho doesn't interact with civillians much. But then he meets Bdubs. Bdubs is not affiliated with the Brotherhood. He's a craftsman. He works with wood, leather, and sometimes metal, making tools and clothes mostly, but weaopns too, and selling them in his little shop. Etho goes there on a whim looking for quick repairs or a replacement.

Bdubs is a pretty ordinary guy just going about his life. He has no idea what's in store for him when he meets Etho that day.

Etho is- odd. Tall and mysterious, and dressed in strange clothes. Bdubs doesn't know what to make of him. But treats him like any other customer. He does what's asked of him, Etho pays well. And he finds himself with a regular visitor.

Etho isn't entirely sure why he keeps going back there. He knows other people with the same skillset that he could go to instead. But there's something about Bdubs... There's something drawing Etho to him in a way he's never really experienced before.

Gradually, they become friends. And with time, that friendship progresses. Etho slowly falls in love with Bdubs, and realises that he's so screwed. He's never been in love before. And these- these- emotions. Are not easy to deal with! He doesn't know how to handle Bdubs being so gentle with him, so kind and smiling so sweetly.

And. Yeah. Things develop. A very touch starved Etho craves the gentleness and kindness that Bdubs gives him so easily. Etho has friends, sure, but this is different. Someone detatched from the violence of his work. Someone willing to care for him and love him despite all that he is. It's like nothing he's ever experienced before.

Bdubs never expected to get tangled up with someone like Etho. Danger surrounds him. Etho could leave one day and just. Never come back. But behind all that. Behind the layers of Trained Killer. There's a sweet, slightly shy guy that Bdubs can't help but love.

It's not all plain sailing though. No no. There's drama and chaos too of course. The nature of Etho's work kind of requires it. One time Etho returns to base badly hurt, and in a state of 'I thought I was going to die and all I wanted was to see you again,' he's asking Doc, who's looking after him, for Bdubs. Another time, Bdubs gets captured by the bad guys and Etho and the other assassin's have to rescue him. There's heartbreak as events leave Etho thinking that Bdubs doesn't want to see him anymore. And the difficulty of tracking down an assassin who doesn't want to be found. Etho becomes over protective at times, which Bdubs isn't fond of. But panic ensues when that protectiveness leads to Etho hurting Bdubs accidentally. Bdubs doesn't know what to think of seeing Etho kill someone. Knowing it happens is one thing, actually seeing it happen is another.

There's ups and downs, and I want there to be some overarching mission that Etho and the rest of the Assassin's are working towards. But I don't know what that is yet. I need to brainstorm and play the games more I think.

However, meanwhile, in the present day. Another young man, funnily enough also known as 'Etho', has somehow gotten himself roped into an investigation being done on his ansestor. A- distant cousin. Or something. He thinks. But the guy was an assassin. Which is cool. Fancy technology he'd never heard of allows him to relive the 'genetic memories' of the assassin. See what he experienced and learn about his life. About the things he did, the people he knew, and the events he was a part of. Hoping it'll help them find answers to something that's going on now.

This Etho, nerdy computer science graduate Etho, is very confused but overall rather fascinated by it all. Though he realises quickly there's a lot more at stake here than facts and figures about centuries old history. He learns a lot about his assassin ancestor and the life he lived. Maybe... Maybe too much. He's not sure that he wanted to know about the more- private parts of the guys life. It's interesting that the man the assassin was in love with looked a lot like one of the technicians working on this investigation, though. It's probably just a coincidence. The odds of it being anything else are far, far too small. But he is rather handsome, so surely you can't blame Etho for having a bit of a crush on him...

And- I am going to stop there or I could ramble all night dfghj. I love this AU a lot, if you couldn't tell. I'm probably forgetting things, but this is already more than enough to get an idea of how things go! There's assassins! And drama! And romance! And it's so much fun!

Platonic Yandere! Connor:

- No because Connor has dad vibes or at the very least, protective older brother vibes and that is EXACTLY how he'll be with you.

- Maybe you joined the Brotherhood and he took you under his wing or maybe he was assigned to be your teacher but either way, he will always be nearby and watching you just to make sure you are safe.

- He will also help educate you in your medical education as best as he can, introducing you and getting you familiar with helpful plants that have medical uses and such.

- He also insists on being the one to teach you how to fight properly because even though he knows your main focus is healing and helping injured assassin's recover, he'd never forgive himself if he allowed something to happen to you. Don't worry, he's a gentle teacher who eases you in and has a lot of good advice.

- He has killed people for you. Templars who tried sneak you or drunken men who tried to hit on you. When you panic and ask him why he did that, he says that he had no other choice. You think that maybe he could've just knocked them out, tied them up somewhere and left them, but...it IS Connor. He usually chooses the most peaceful and diplomatic options.

- Maybe...maybe you're overthinking it. After all, Connor would never lie to you...right?

Platonic Yandere! Jacob:

- You definetly meet Jacob when he's brought in by the Brotherhood with some new injury he got that was probably from doing a stupid stunt. Either way, it's not too bad and it was good practice.

- He's a fun and lovable guy, honestly. He's cracking jokes and making you laugh and asking about how long you've been with the Brotherhood. You feel relaxed with him, he's so much more casual than other assassins and you're more drawn to him.

- He lets you hang around him and the Rooks, all of them love you like a little sister and are always happy when you come around. Sometimes Jacob calls you in if one of them needs to be patched up and he jokingly says that maybe instead of the Brotherhood, you should just work as a healer for him and his gang.

- You laugh it off and so does he but he's actually deadly serious about it. Jacob isn't gonna act like the Brotherhood is all peachy and perfect because they're assassins and some of those heartless bastards wouldn't feel any guilt leaving you behind on a mission or something, but...if you worked for him, you'd be much more safer. Everyone loves you, everyone adores you, and everyone (especially Jacob) would ensure your safety before their own.

- Most definetly has started fights over you, like some drunk tells you that you'd be a better whore than a medic and Jacob loses his mind, both Evie and Henry and even some other rooks have to pull him back as he beats the man shitless for saying those things about you.

- He kinda treats you like a kid, which is ironic because he hates being treated that way himself by older Assassins and Evie, but he can't help it. You're still so innocent to this world, too innocent to even be an Assassin, so just leave it to Jacob and keep everyone happy with that adorable smile of yours, yeah?

Platonic Yandere! Ezio:

- NO BECAUSE HE'D THE W O R S T OUT OF THESE TWO AND MORE NOTICEABLE AS A PLATONIC YANDERE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU REMIND HIM OF HIS BROTHERS IN ANYWAY, SHAPE, OR FORM.

- You'd be way too star struck to notice it, though. After all, you're meeting THE Ezio Auditore! AND HE SEEMS TO NOT BE ANNOYED BY YOUR INEXPERIENCE LIKE THE OTHER ASSASSINS.

- Unlike Jacob he won't deter from being an assassin and he'll also teach you to defend yourself like Connor but you just fill in a gap in his heart that he thought would always be empty after what happened to his family.

- You start to notice his yandere tendencies when an Assassin snaps at you because you might've done something wrong and Ezio just threatens them with death straight up. He charms his way out of it but the even still kinda lives in the back of your mind.

- NO BECAUSE BOTH TEMPLARS AND ASSASSIN'S FEAR YOU. Because if a Templar captain sees his troupes bring in an Assassin Prisoner and it's YOU, the captain will start crying as he asks his men if they know what they've done. Other Assassin's have seen the injuries Ezio has given to those who ALLOW you to get hurt and for that reason, you are to stay close to them at all times for fear they might meet the same fate.

- Depending on which Ezio we're talking about, he'll literally make it so that you're always under his protection and that he can always have his eye on you.

- Bonus thing: he does not trust boys, given his background and how he played with women, he'd much rather choose one of his own assassins that are your age than risk having you get your heart broken, he's a good dad that way.

Connor Kenway/Ratonhnhaké:ton Headcanons: As a Father

A/N: Hey hey y’all! So, as most of you may know by now, for the past week or so Ratonhnhaké:ton a.k.a Connor Kenway, the protagonist from Assassin’s Creed 3, has completely occupied my mind. Like I’m serious, it’s been exactly one (1) thought, head full of him. So, to help flush some of this fixation out of my system, I’ve taken to writing a shit ton of headcanons for him, all different au’s and themes. Today, we’ll be looking at what I envision Connor to be like as a father. Canonically, he has three (3) children, two daughters and a son. We never, however, get to see more of what he’s like as a dad, so that’s where I step in! 😁 FAIR WARNING: These are more so a combination of Modern and Canonical headcanons since I took inspiration from how I imagine Connor would behave in both timelines. With that being said, I hope you guys enjoy! And please feel free to send me any Connor related asks or requests you may have. I’d love to write more for him and interact more with my fellow Con-Con man lovers. 

Ratonhnhaké:ton/Connor Kenway as a Father Headcanons

Before I say anything else, and go into any detail, let me make something abundantly clear 

Ratonhnhaké:ton/Connor Kenway is an amazing father

He’s doting yet firm, protective but not overbearing

He’s attentive and accommodating, but not to the point of pandering and being spineless

He knows how to be gentle with his children, even from the time they’re infants and he gets to hold them for the first time

Speaking of…

The first time Connor gets to hold his child, his eyes water up like super hard

He only notices, as entranced as he is by his baby, because his picture of them becomes blurry

He’s afraid his tears will drop on his baby and startle them, so he quickly yet carefully hands her back to his wife and wipes the tears, which have now begun trickling down his face, before immediately, quietly asking for permission to hold his child again

(His wife, in her exhaustion and recovering from the sudden rush of adrenaline, thinks it’s funny and sweet that he thought to ask for permission) 

Ratonhnhaké:ton never ceases to be amazed, even as the number of times his wife gives birth increases and, subsequently, the number of his children grows

He’s just as astonished the third time as he was the first 

As I mentioned in some of my previous Connor-canons, he’s always desired to be a father and have a family

(I mean personally, before the comic came out, I wouldn’t have thought he necessarily wanted such a big family, but the fact that he apparently did positively warms my heart 😭)

Even years later, he still feels regret about the way things played out between him and his own father, and the more he contemplated why Haytham behaved in the way that he did, Connor has deduced that perhaps Haytham’s relationship with his dad wasn’t the greatest either, and that affected him to a degree

(That’s by no means meant to excuse or justify what Haytham did, but I thought it was worth mentioning)

He knows he can’t ever know the answer for certain, but with this speculation, Connor decided that he would do his utmost to be a good father to his children, regardless of what path they chose and what differences may have existed between them

We all know that Ratonhnhaké:ton can very easily become a papa bear when the situation calls for it, and he’s very unafraid of puttin’ the smackdown on people who would overstep their boundaries 

This behavior is increased tenfold once he becomes a father

Now he really is a papa bear, and anyone who would try to harm his children in any way will be dealt with. Swiftly. 

On the flipside of that however, Connor also knows that he shouldn’t coddle his kids, and that eventually they’ll have to learn to defend themselves

So, he does the obvious thing and covertly teaches them some of the fighting and self-defense techniques he learned as an Assassin 😁

It’s not full out Assassin training (outside of Io:nhiòte, who of course possesses the OG eagle vision) and he tries to keep it on the dl from his wife (who eventually finds out anyway and scolds him but nevertheless allows him to continue 🙃)

Connor and all three of his children really enjoy flapjacks (yes, flapjacks not pancakes)

I imagine that Connor and his family live in the manor and so the children each have their own rooms

They’re each responsible for the upkeep of said room once they are of age, and Connor teaches them the importance of cleanliness, in all aspects

He also teaches them respect, even to the animals who provide their food and fur/skins

When his children inevitably inquire about what it is Connor does since he wears those special robes, he decides to be completely upfront and honest with them, when they are old enough 

Prior to that, he tells them a watered-down version of the story, saying things like “I help others and make bad people go away” or even jokingly implying or outright stating that he belongs to a secret brotherhood who helps people and punishes those who misbehave 

(When the kids are younger, they eat his stories up, so fascinated and intrigued they are with whatever it is their dad does) 

I feel that Io:nhiòte is the most excitable of Connor’s kids; she’s still a polite, well-spoken girl but just a little more headstrong than her siblings 

I also feel that Connor’s son, which I believe is his second eldest child, is like him and has a very calm (almost more so than his father), even temperament 

He, again like his father, is soft-spoken and kind, and also very intelligent: he adapts and learns very quickly

Connor’s oldest, who I believe is his other daughter, is very confident and much like her mother

She is also well-mannered and independent, not liking to rely on others for much, if anything, one trait she did inherit from her dad

She takes pride in being the eldest, and always tries to lead and set a good example for her siblings 

Even with their similarities though, Connor still has had to learn to adapt his attitude and responses when engaging each of his children

He laughs at the thought, as coming to understand and subsequently better communicate with his kids reminds him of his early days of assassin training, the more mentally taxing work he had to put in

It also sometimes saddens him when he thinks about how his own father could never quite figure out how to do the same

But, all in all, Connor is just grateful that he can make a positive difference as it relates to his own relationship with his kids

Rapid Fire Round!

Connor and Io:nhiòte have their own secret language that they use when out training

(It’s mostly vocalizations and hand signals, not so much actual words)

Connor likes to have special little inside jokes with his kids, and they each have either a hand signal or handshake that is unique to them

Ratonhnhaké:ton isn’t usually one to cry at all, but he definitely sheds tears whenever any one of his kids reaches a milestone

(Like he might not outright sob but a few little diamonds surely make their way down his cheeks 😂)

When they’re little, Connor’s kids love to play in his hair (which I imagine he lets grow out a considerable amount once he’s settled down) and he’s more than happy to let them

Loves to make their birthdays celebrations for the whole of the Homestead and his wife’s village as well 

When he’s at home and the babies are…well babies, Connor oft volunteers to supervise his, Myriam/Norris and Warren/Prudence’s kid’s playdates 

I didn’t mention this in my general headcanons for Con-Con man but I actually believe he knows how to cook, and for this particular set of headcanons he does so pretty frequently for his kids, as they’re big fans of his cooking 

Connor loves to give his kids piggyback rides; his son and Io:nhiòte are particularly big fans 

When the children are little, Connor hums to them to help them sleep at night 

(His wife likes to tease him about how nice his voice is and Connor is always flustered at the compliment)

All-in-all, Connor is an excellent father, and is more than willing to give his kids the world 😁

Security guard Desmond (FNAF)

A story I thought up once, that like many I'm probably not going to write out, was Assassin's Creed X FNAF, featuring security guard Desmond.

Desmond needs a starter job after running away from home, and look, this one needs no prior experience or background checks! Fantastic! All he has to do is watch cameras at night, and the pay isnt bad either. Great!

Upon getting the job, he swiftly realises the pay is not worth it, but decides to hang on for a week so he can get paid and move on.

Staying allive at his job is making him thankful for his past Assassin training, as the job is very haunted. He has mixed feelings about his thankfulness.

Clay is the Phone Guy. He will only realise this far in the future when he meets him in the Animus, but in retrospect the clues were there.

Each chapter was going to be named after a diffrent indie gameing song abut FNAF, by diffrent artists.

Upon getting out of there, he often makes the comment that whatever his current job is, it is at least better then that time he was a security guard at a pizza place. Everyone always assumes a diffrent reason for it.

A possibile ending involved having a templar come for him on night five, and end up distracting the animatronics from Desmond.. Some POVs would involve Templar tailing Desmond outside of work to establish routine. Templar guy gets suited, Desmond GTFOs. I decided Desmond didn't. I ultimately decided probably not the best way to end it, but also had no real plan.

Annon-Guy: This is a minor thing, but aside from keeping up with the Cat aspect of his character, why do you think Train likes milk so much?

Also, this might be an anime thing, but in episode 8 (the one where Train and Eve fight that botanical garden monster), when they were at the diner, Eve just wanted a coffee. Does that mean she has a preference with coffee? If so, how come?

Childhood experience I think, mostly from his obsession with power when he was younger to get revenge on Zagine. It was the assassin who put the idea in his head also. In the manga, about the chapter where Timothy appears, there is a flashback of Train being told to drink milk by Zagine. He was stubborn at first but changed his mind once Zagine said that milk was nutritious so it would make him stronger. Probably it was just a trick to get him to eat healthily since Zagine knew how much Train wanted to beat him. Anyways, it kinda became a habit that was hard to quit as he grew older (I would want to add the taste factor as well. I think milk is super delicious though it is not all that, haha).

Eve ordered coffee in the manga as well, when they were in the sweeper bar finding more info about Creed. Must be copying Sven imo, since she wants to prove that she is not a child and Sven seems like the kind that would have coffee for his breakfast. She have thought that Train was childish many times so she definitely not gonna pick him as a role model for maturity.

You glare, ticking your jaw as he sits across from you. He’s spread out in his chair, his legs wide open, his body leaned back in the chair. Taking a huge chuck out of a loaf of bread, he chews obnoxiously, a smirk planted on his plump lips.

He’s fucking smug as shit.

Bastard.

You’d slap that fucking smirk right off his face right now if you could, too bad attacking the jarls son would get you killed. Nevermind the fact you are close family friends, your parents would still punish you both, for acting like children in public.

As if he can hear what you’re thinking he huffs a breath through his nose, widens his smirk, and knocks his fur stuffed boot against your own.

“Enough!” You hissed quietly against your teeth.

He chews, still fucking smirking. “Don’t be upset.” He shrugs his stupid…strong, broad…shoulders.

“You’re a child.” You insist, as you scuff your chair back against the stone floors of the Hall and push your plate. He quickly rises with you and follows you out into the snow. It almost gives you pleasure to know that even though he’s an asshole and you hate him, and he hates you, he’ll still follow you like a lost dog.

“Leave me.” You grumble.

“No, you lost,” he says gruffly. “You have to pay up.” You roll your eyes as you continue walking to your home

“No.” You stated, “I don’t.”

You had been training in a group, and you two had been pit against each other. Before you began, he had whispered to you, bet you that if he won you had to kiss him, and believing in yourself a little too much, apparently, you took him up on it.

You lost. Obviously.

It had been in sword combat. He had arced his blade, and taken you off guard, knocking your own from your hand. He had then kicked at your stomach, effectively knocking you on your ass. He’d ridden you to the ground, pinning you down. His body was bulkier than yours, the weight leaving your lungs unable to expand. the embarrassment of losing so quickly and being trapped under him caused heat to redden your face and heat your entire body. You’d tapped. He’d won. You’d lost.

He had jumped up, leaving you there prone on the muddy frost bitten grass. You were huffing, watching slightly stunned as he slapped hands, and patted backs with a few other guys.

You grumbled as you brushed yourself off, and retrieved your sword, your face still burning.

Stupid Din and his stupid shiny silver armor, most men and women here don’t wear it, putting their faith in the Gods instead. But he doesn’t care. He’s arrogant. He likes the look, likes to be intimidating. You knew who he really was though, you saw through it. You’d witnessed his facade’s creation.

His helmet is brilliant, you will give him that one. A polished silver helm with a T visor cut out, the middle line stopping around the arch of his nose. His eyes and mouth just barely visible underneath.

Looking at him sometimes causes a pull in your stomach, a feeling that heats your entire body. Something like what just happened.

Gods.

Fuck.

Despite…that, you do admire him, his skill is severe. He works hard, helps around. You notice often he worries over the incapable women and children, he had a love for the people. For their safety and well-being.

You shake your head, clearing your thoughts. Arriving at your home, quickly opening the door you try to close him out, but a large, wide hand stops it from closing. Din then shoulders his way in and instead closes it behind him, effectively isolating you inside. Together. Alone.

Trying a little too hard, you glare at him, your hands on your hips. You swallow thickly.

He steps closer, causing you to shiver slightly.

Why are you excited? He’s an asshole.

One more step, and he’s in front of you.

Your lashes flutter, refusing to move your eyes up to his. He’s taller, by at least half a foot.

“Look at me.” He practically growls. You bite your lip, your chest filling with anticipation.

What will he do? How will he kiss you?

Will it be quick and chaste? Or deep and passionate? Will he use his tongue? Gods you hope so…

You shift your eyes up slowly, meeting his deep brown ones. He shifts his hands to his sword, removing it from his person, setting gently on your table. Then he reaches and does the same to yours. You just stare as he does it, not preventing his actions, all the while staring into his eyes.

He’s only become more beautiful as he’s aged, the fine lines growing on his face often mesmerized you. You grew up together, you’ve always picked on eachother. You used to be snot nosed kids who ran around the village, now you’d both aged into fantastic deadly warriors.

His hand comes up to cradle your face, the gentle touch strange compared to his rough, calloused hands.

Have you always felt this deep longing for him?

Din’s smug smirk widens, clear amusement shined in his eyes. Now glancing between your own eyes, his tick down quickly to your lips and back up again.

Never mind you still hate him.

But you also ache for him, you want him so bad. You want his mouth on you, yours on his. Him inside you, Gods.

Does he feel the same?

Finally his lips brush yours, your lids falling closed at the sensation. He pulls away slightly with a quiet smack. Hesitating only for a second before coming back in and meeting your lips once again, deepening the kiss. His tongue brushes against yours, you moan at the sensation. His hands start to wander, feeling anywhere he can manage. Your neck, your sides, your ass. Then he’s pushing you backwards across the room, your back hitting the ladder to your loft. Your hands are brushing through his hair, gripping his neck when he lifts you up, your legs wrapping around his waist.

“Fuck..” you choke out at the sensation, as his scent surrounds you.

He captures your lips once again, pulling back slightly. You’re both panting, breaths mingling.

You look into each others eyes, silently agreeing to continue.

You slide down from his hips, turning quickly to climb up the ladder, his hands grabbing your waist.

A new excitement blossoming in your chest.

You make it maybe two steps before you both hear the blaring of the raid horn, instantly you’re both on guard. Your village was in a hotspot for raids.

You slide back down the rungs, your battle mentality slipping in. You both rush for your weapons, luckily only having taken one off. Before you open your door, his hand brushes yours, catching yours. He looks at you sharply, expressing every emotion he possibly can.

We will continue this later.

“To Valhalla!” He shouts.

You nod once, sharply. Thinning your lips, your mouth setting in determination.

If i were to write an FMA Assassins Creed crossover, WHICH I'M NOT! IF LIKE TO FOCUS ON THE FMA EPIC I'M ALREADY WRITING, THANKS!, It would look something like this:

Xerxes would be analogous to the Isu. Both societies are considered ancient history, they both had slavery, there was epic scientific powers we cannot comprehend, both vanished completely in the space of a night marked by cosmic event that happens according to a solar cycle. This makes Ed and Al half Isu-adjacent, but they don't find out until they meet Father...

Trisha was an Assassin for the brotherhood. She wasn't super active with two rambunctious, supernaturally gifted alchemist boys to raise, but she didn't hide it from them either. She taught them the philosophy of the Assassins, if not the actual work.

Technically 2b on my paper, but I'm on mobile and don't know how to indent things. Altaïr is in his post mentor phase at this point, because this is a world's coexist crossover, not a rules of one within the other crossover. So he's doing the travelling sage thing, checking in on otherwise isolated Assassins and meeting their kids, studying Xerxesian artifacts, meditating. He mediates a lot. Primarily on Alchemy, in ways lost since the fall of Xerxes. He does this so hard he becomes capable of (some) circleless Alchemy.

2c. The Auditore family also exists. They're mostly engaged in background politics in Central. Ed and Al love visiting their 'cousins' whenever Trisha's work had them in Central.

2cii. They still put their trust in the wrong people, get framed for treason and semi-publically executed, though. Because this is a merger, not a fix it.

3. Roy Mustang is still Roy Mustang. Independently ideological and trying to change the system from within. He knows nothing about secret orders of Assassins or their enemy organisations.

3b. Madame Christmas, on the other hand, is deeply entrenched. She's an Assassin herself, running her brothel as a safe place and information exchange. It's her who helps smuggle Ezio and Claudia out of Central.

3c. Riza, also, is hiding the existence of Assassins from Roy. She was offered a place with them, but she decided watching this crazy apprentice of her father's was more important.

4. Ed has no compunctions against 'disappearing' corrupt officials. He's got a pocket watch that says he's allowed to do it and everything. That's how that works, right?

As an aside, Ezio's off doing his running around the countryside thing. Turns out the guy who framed his Dad was working for this 'forth Prince of Xing' who wanted an artifact they were keeping safe for Altaïr. It's not the key to immortality, but he's going it will be enough to win the emperor's favour.

4c. Ed totally kills those brothers in the armour in lab five. Yes, they're human. That hasn't stopped Ed yet and he's not going to start hesitating for a couple of death row serial killers.

Ed and Al have a different set of values in this, don't they. "We work in the dark to serve the light", "stay your blade from the flesh of innocents".

As much as they miss Trisha, she would probably string them up by their ankles or something if they resurrected her. No human Alchemy attempts for them!

This means that Ed can't do circle Alchemy...

He can fake it, though.

Two people he looks up to can do it, his Teacher and the Mentor, so he knows it's possible. So he hides circles in his clothing, claps to activate them, and tada! Mystery alchemy, a la Kimblee. He's going to kill that guy first chance he gets.

As for Roy, he just happens to walk in while Ed's down an arm for unrelated reasons, Al's experimenting with Xingese remote alkahestry, and there's a mildly suspicious array and blood splatter in the basement. It's easier to let him believe they attempted the taboo than tell him the truth.

(the brotherhood sent him and his assassin master on a recon/training mission to a desert town in the east. They ended up in a fight with a hack of a priest and his hack of a chimera. Ed's arm got mauled and the senior assassin prioritised getting the rest of him back to Pinako over the festering wound in his own gut. The death rites were held in the basement only hours before Roy showed up)

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

"All we need is a cause to fight for. And for me, that cause is you."

As I’ve been reading a lot about the Crusades recently, it seemed a natural progression to try playing Assassin’s Creed for the first time since the franchise began a decade and a half ago.

It was quite the effort for me to force myself to take a break before starting Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood after finishing AC2. I wanted to know what happens next so very badly - and my first thought on starting ACB was: this doesn't disappoint.

While the mechanics remain largely the same, the graphics have once again gotten an upgrade - all of sequence 1 had me going holy shit, this is cinematic as well as wow, they're really pulling out all the hero stops. And if that somehow fails to impress, the first present day sequence had me thinking these characters have personalities for the first time since the series began. Desmond was a blank, passive slate in AC1 and only just starting to show signs of being otherwise in AC2, but here Desmond is - finally - an independent actor with just the right level of snark to make me go yeah, I actually like this guy. Lucy too seems something like other than an obvious Templar plant - a like she's actually struggling with her inevitable betrayal - and Rebecca and Shawn are more than just snark.

There's much I love about ACB: the main plot is interesting but oddly short. There are about a thousand side quests, so it's not exactly a short game, but I can't help but think incorporating at least some of them into the main storyline would have made a bit more sense. The Borgia Towers offer an interesting set of challenges, and recruiting the brotherhood is a concept I'd like to have seen more of in more detail (training missions with the Mentor? Ezio spreading his influence more slowly across Europe instead of suddenly being able to send his trainees across the world? the recruits themselves having personalities and backgrounds and motivations?) Even renovating Rome doesn't start to feel gimmicky until you're buying the Coliseum.

And yet I don't love it quite as much as AC2 - and I think it largely comes down to the fact that all of Ezio's personal grown happened in the former, with little room left in ACB for any positive, meaningful growth. We don't see Ezio struggle with the fact that his choice to leave Rodrigo alive in the Vatican lead to the destruction of his home for a second time. We don't see him struggle to be a leader to his burgeoning brotherhood, he already is one. We have peak narrative symmetry starting with a siege and ending with a siege, and yet only the first stirs the emotions - Cesare has lasted this long because he's always conveniently in the wrong place, not because he's a satisfying or interesting boss.

In short, I love older Ezio (who somehow manages to be at peak attractiveness throughout the game, going so far as to complain when someone says he should slow down because he's older; that will never not be hilarious). I just wish he had a bit more meat to work with in ACB.

It's not all unicorns and rainbows though. The number of times I accidentally called a horse instead of flicking on eagle vision or speaking to a merchant is in the thousands. The number of debilitating gut wounds Ezio has recovered from is starting to verge on comically unrealistic. The number of plot points that are touched on - why was La Volpe so willing to assume Machiavelli was the traitor with comparatively scant evidence? How does one build a brotherhood of assassins? How did Claudia learn to wield a knife in the first place? - but quickly glossed over is frustrating. I could have done with a smaller Rome and more fleshed out plot. And the bits where you have to use the apple at the end simply failed to satisfy.

Yet I love it. Not in the way I think I'll always love AC2, but it's a solid game. Short, but solid. I enjoyed playing it and would loved to have seen more, but I'm not disappointed with what we got.

(Though I was shocked by Lucy's death. Yes, she was an obvious Templar plant, but I'd like to have seen her explain herself before we reached Redemption Equals Death. I'm eager to see the fallout in ACR... but not eager enough to continue forgoing errands and chores that I've been putting off for AC2 and ACB before beginning.)

4.5 of 5 stars - definite replay value, but not the head-exploding awesome of AC2.

Now leaks revealed we are going to play as two characters, a female Shinobi who in the trailer named Naoi/Noae Fujibayashi, a daughter of a famous ninja. And African samurai who will slowly join the order that Naoi is part of the assassin brotherhood.

As you probably guess the African “Samurai” is very likely to be or based of the famous Oda Nobunaga retainer Yasuke https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasuke

In the story leaks in reveals that Naoi and Yasuke will start out as fierce rivals/enemies as historically Nobunaga constantly tried to wipe out the ninja clans. But will later become close allies in their desires to unify Japan

Now I did my research on yasuke, he never joined the samurai class and such. I have theory when Japanese were reviewing their samurai ancestors. They made Yasuke a “honorary” samurai but Afro centrists twisted it

Now for the game they changed Yasuke backstory where he was a slave on a slave ship that was attacked and he was the only survivor. And he eventually end up under Nobunaga learning the way of the samurai

Now some people think Yasuke is as just Nobunaga pet…though it stated he was 6’2 and I can’t really believe didn’t trained him in at least the bushido code.

Now in assassin creed settings, human history was influence by mainly two secret orders and their incarnations. The assassin brotherhood (Free Will) and the Templar order (social order)

Now as I theorize about how ac red could use Yasuke, I realize that they could do a story where Yasuke joined the assassins and goes into the shadows and protect and unify japan so they don’t suffer the same hardships as him. Basically an immigrant protecting his new home.

Now it caused a shitshow on twitter when the leaks came out as they thought it was form of Afro centrism after you know the Netflix cleopatra thing. Mainly because the headlines forgot to mention he was one of the two playable characters

Now for me, Yasuke help inspired one of the first seinen anime’s my father introduced me to being Afro Samurai which the titular character was voiced by Samual Jackson.

Now we probably won’t get a proper reveal of the game until April or May as that when the company Ubisoft like to do such a big reveal. But I know he going to very likely be in the announcement trailer. So prepare for the shitshow

Still remember how incredibly blown away I was when I saw the first videos of the first AC game. I could never play them I knew that way the camera moves gives me vertigo and a splitting headache if I try and play games that do that for more than a couple min, never could play DooM for the same reason whole 3D thing caused actual physical pain.

Nothing like incomplete information to start a fight, you just reminded me I haven't seen anything about the Hannibal thing they're doing in a while, gets all kinds of free advertisement when the angry mob starts up and the people with the full information start responding. Do they do that on purpose as a form of viral marketing that they don't need to pay for, probably.

Probably not, maybe they could do something where the British fleet is enforcing their blockade they set up in order to stop the ocean going transport of slaves to the Americas, or maybe French or British army going in and going to war with the various kingdoms and such in Africa that were still trying to keep the slave trade going after they were told to knock it off and stop selling their fellow Africans.

But that probably wouldn't go over too well in certain communities. The discourse would be delicious though.
