Using KolibriOS to draw something for the OSC on Tumblr: 2024-04-12 03:00

it's been ages since the last time i played with the VM workstation i had on my tablet PC, and now i'm back again with cool things to show here. :D

Back in 2022, before I was an object show fan, there was an application which enabled to run real operating systems on a smartphone or a tablet. It was an emulator which ran operating systems using the x86 or x86_64 processor technology. Of course, I'm talking about Limbo Emulator, in which it has QEMU as the whole framework. It wasn't just based on QEMU, but was basically just QEMU, ported to ARM processors, with a graphical interface. I once created a VM, created a disk and formatted it using DOS, and ran KolibriOS on it.

However, it is to be noted that the VM runs so slow because the tablet has an ARM processor, and ARM processors, including ARM-based ones can operate only in about 1-2 megahertz when emulating x86 or x86_64 chips. The only operating system which can be booted from start to finish in less than a minute is KolibriOS, and let me tell you, it's much more fun to work with.

Then, when I opened Tinypad and wrote something down, I thought to myself, "Hey, what if I made something like a souvenir for the OSC on Tumblr using this operating system? It'll be like the next leap forward to the power of computing. It'll definitely be something like a wonder of lightweight OSes!! It doesn't have to be big, but little. I'm gonna draw something for the OSC!"

I then got an idea. A bright idea. I can draw a TPOT character ship!

When I chose a ship to draw, I considered 2 things:

The ship should be a popular one.

The ship contains characters which are easy to draw.

I had many ideas for that, but the closest ones so far were Fireafy (Firey x Leafy), and Sawty (Saw x Gaty). Both of these ships are popular, but they have either one or both of the characters in each ship which are hard to draw, especially considering the processor is too slow to render curves properly. Even drawing Fubble (Fanny x Bubble) is somewhere between difficult to impossible. Draw a curve very slowly, to the point you would never see the pointer moving, and you get a nice one. Draw it faster, and surprise, it's a collection of lines connected to each other, or in other words, a polygon.

And so, I settled for Coinypin (Coiny x Pin). It took a long time to neaten up everything until I got the result in which I liked. Yeah, I know it's just a bunch of lines and circles, but who cares? I'm happy with it though.

apologies for making a spelling error on the filename, it was supposed to say "tpot coinypin" but i was too lazy to rename it, and then i did it afterwards lol

This is a story in which I did the unthinkable. Next TPOT ship to be drawn on KolibriOS is Sawty (Saw x Gaty), sooner or later, and I hope it turns out fine as the Coinypin one.

okay so guess who actually decided to make it. I DID!! I'm on tpot right now, over the past 4 days I've watched the other parts of bfdi. I love the show sm, Ik Im 13 years late but its okay!! I now know what I want to do after paratober. Although someone I don't like is a major figure in the fandom, I won't let that stop me. Everyday I wake up and think about it, and I absolutely have fell in love. I could go on for hours talking how much I love Pin, Leafy, Firey, Coin, Flower , Lolipop, Gelatin, Taco, Spongey, Teardrop, Golfball, Book, Tenis Ball, Bubble, Icecube, Woody, Blocky, Announcer, X, 4, and so many more!! I adore the show, and I'm so glad my friend got me into it. I love it sm, and I finally feel happy again, because its something that has me very emotional! I haven't felt so happy about something in months, and I'm finally ready to start giving new things a try. Stuff like Bugbo, and Murder drones has a grip on me rn as well! I can say that I've been doing so much better, and I thank my true friends for sticking with me. I may still love tsp, but for now after paratober I'll give new things a try!! the teams in the BFB MDM AU (6/8)

Mental St8te: The equivalent of Team8s in this AU. Donut and the other members of "Team8s" here mainly try to help Barf Bag regain her sanity since she might sometimes be out of control. Rusty Coin, Steamy and Clip joined this group because there wasn't much options left. At the day when Needle lost her sanity, she injured Coiny once, but it was way more worse than a slap... it was a massive scar mark. Despite the fact that Saw is in this team, she's really worried about the mental stability of her friends from other teams, such as Dora and Pen.

⨷ Extra info: Clip's main alias in this AU is Clippy.

Team members: Coiny, Pin, Needle, Donut, Barf Bag, Saw, Gaty, Clip, Steamy and Rusty Coin.

Eternally Vehement: The equivalent of The Strongest Team On Earth in this AU. This team's more of a rivalry team to Unread Message. Unlike her canon counterpart, Basketball wouldn't be the innocent type of person to confront... She's more of a mechanic who's an unhinged rival of Golf Ball. Her adoptive son, Grassy, is a really chaotically livid remnant monolithan who tends to wrangle other survivors with vines as a trap... but there's also instances of him killing someone, but there's nothing to worry about. The deceased can be recovered, so Four recovers the infected if they die and X recovers the sane and insane victims if they die. The reasoning about why Grassy is evil is because of the fact that people even interpreted him as a villain when it was revealed that he has the most votes for TPOT 6. Obviously due to problematic reasons, I would also consider Portable Music Player in this AU confirmed to have throat surgery.

the teams in the BFB MDM AU (2/8)

Homicide P.A.C.T: The equivalent of Death P.A.C.T Again in this AU. They mainly do their duty to prevent various survivors from dying. Lightning's status was infected, but then he was later saved. The team members also have to help Liy regain her sanity since she has a murderous side when she snaps probably due to one reason: TRAUMA. There's certain moments where Liy eventually acts insane towards her teammates, so Tree has to try to immobilize her until she's calmed down. Even if Fanny's gone, the team's still alright since only one of the members has lost their entire sanity.

Team members: Tree, Marker, Liy, Remote, Lightning, Pie, Fanny, Stapy, Firey Jr & Black Hole.

Unread Message: The equivalent of Are You Okay in this AU. One day, their survival streak eventually broke when Pen snapped, therefore he decided to become an insane remnant out of spite. He later proceeds to infect his friend Eraser, who was also turned into a slightly sane remnant compared to Pen. The day after Pen and Eraser left the team, Golf Ball had a long argument with 8-Ball, as the argument got worse, Roboty went back to the misty waterfall to hide from their tension for a while, Bracelety starts panicking, TV and Tennis Ball try to settle down their argument. Just at the moment Golf Ball was gonna yell at 8-Ball at the last part of the Argument, Fries loudly warned his team members that Puffball's becoming infected as she experiences her unstable, emotional mental breakdown as she transforms into a monololithan. As Puffball attacked Golf Ball, Bracelety, 8-Ball, TV and Tennis Ball afterwards, Puffball dragged Fries along with her to bring him to Pen to infect him and turn him into a remnant afterward...
