See, I get what you're saying about how shipper culture influences a ship’s perception (I have had many ships ruined for me by obnoxious shippers, though I do eventually get over them over time because I won’t let some stranger influence what it is I like and whatnot) and I won’t pretend to know all the past drama or dismiss how it shaped things, as I wasn’t even there to witness any of it. If Harmione shippers were the ones who "cast the first stone" back in the day, I can understand why that would leave a lasting impact. As a Romione shipper myself, I don’t blame other Romione shippers for pushing back if they were constantly put down for the ship.
That said, my issue isn’t with Romione shippers disliking certain Harmione shippers—it’s that so many openly hate the ship itself like it’s some kind of irredeemable concept. It feels like, even if a Harmione shipper were completely respectful and just enjoyed the pairing quietly, the ship would still get aggressively dismissed. That’s where I think the negativity is overdramatic. Every ship has its bad apples, but the existence of toxic shippers doesn’t make the ship itself inherently bad or offensive, yet so many love to claim that it is.
So while I do understand where the negativity stems from historically, I still think the way Harmione as a ship is treated is unnecessarily harsh.
The hate that Harmione gets is actually so funny and over-exaggerated 😭
It’s quite literally one of the most innocent and non-problematic ships there is, yet it constantly gets dogged on so hard by so many people (typically Romione shippers) and treated like it’s the most immoral and disgusting ship out there.
I could totally understand people disliking the shippers (there are obnoxious shippers for every ship) or the fact that Ron, for whatever reason, gets heavily bashed in the fics, as I also absolutely hate that, but the ship itself is completely harmless and fine. Nothing is wrong with the ship; people are just overly dramatic and childish.
#for the years that I have been here i have seen nothing but romione shippers constantly berate harmione#for almost every piece of harmione content i’ve come across there were romione shippers hating#acting as if it was the most immoral ship there is and I find that so ridiculous#i mean i’m a “if you don’t like it then move along” kinda person#so to see the hate (on any side really) is just so eye rolling#and I know what you were getting at with dramione and I understand what they were getting at too but I find the comparison so faulty#because to me all three of the shippers fall on the same stem of toxicity#to me they’re one and the same#anyways though#thank you for the respectful reply/response back#not many would have the decency to do so and I appreciate that#harry potter#harmione#harmony

People think hermione is too jealous of ron and that's toxic. like they think if she loved *their crush* she would be not jealous.? this is literally her personality. she is jealous. if she liked harry she would be jealous of cho and wouldn't talk to harry for a year, but she didn't. Even this shows harmione is NOTHING in canon.
Sorry i am just angry lol
People see all kind of toxicity in romione while shipping literal deatheaters with Hermione.
Their opinion is irrelevant

HP: Soulmate or Partner
Written 2/15/25
The general idea is that for Hermione: Harry is her soulmate while Ron is her partner/lover/husband
Which creates the ship war/debate of Harmione/Harmony (HarryxHermione) and Ronmione (RonxHermione)
The crux of it is who should Hermione (and in general a person) be with between the two
I think the best summary (if soulmate vs lover isn’t enough) I can probably make for them is this:
Harry is more of her partner/ride or die, they align on a lot of things and support each other through everything, etc He is her best friend
Where Ron is her balance, opposites attract, they’re two halves of a whole, etc he is the man she fell in love with
They do have their negatives/what makes them not perfect (granted no one could truly be perfect)
Harry is more withdrawn emotionally so it has led to him and Hermione having difficulty in those areas together
Ron and she argue a ton, I think (at least in the movies would have to fact-check me on the books) no one has made Hermione cry more than Ron
So funnily enough one she can’t talk to when things are emotionally high/low and one she gets in fights with when things are emotionally high/low almost exact opposites
The debate has many aspects to it that I can’t go into
You can go from the literal book to see what makes more sense or what is actually presented
You can go from the meta-perspective as the author herself has said she should have changed the pairings
You can just put your personal feelings and thoughts on them such as if you think Ron&Hermione are toxic or Harry&Hermione are sibling coded
I can’t go into it all, I tried and I see both sides
Edit: 2/24/25
So initially had the whole post going over the dynamics of Ron&Hermione and Harry&Hermione. With some Harry&Ginny
But I honestly see both (all three?) sides of it, Harmione probably my fav of the three if it wasn’t obvious above, I do like Ronmione a lot and I really do like Hinny
I do think a better written/handled Ginny could truly be the ideal partner for Harry and a better handled Ronmione to lean away from some of their more toxic aspects I might like it more as well
I do think that since she didn't write Harry and Hermione to be obviously romantic they avoided the pitfalls the romance writing had imo and instead had such a strong friendship to the point fans consider them soulmates
I'm completely for platonic male/female friendships, in this situation I do think that they are just a better match so to speak and the male/female friendship could have just been Ron&Hermione if we have to have one
Plus I've always been a sucker for the best friends-to-lovers trope in nearly everything that has a cast and a romantic plot/subplot so that's probably my bias
I already regret posting this as Harry Potter isn't my wheelhouse lol
Edit: 2/25/25
Also side note the whole bonded for life part is one of the most absurd moments I think for a pair that didn’t end up together lol

I investigated the TV trope page and noted something you may have missed: there are numerous examples of the same trope far predating the Harry Potter series. The idea of turning a good character bad for one reason or another, including for shipping, is not a new one. It wasn't started by Harmony fans. Someone could easily have named the same trope The Roman's Odysseus, Zeus the Rapist, or Raoul the Alcoholic. The trope may have been used by Harmony fans, and the existence of those fics may have given the name to the trope, but frankly that says more about the media preferences of the people writing the article. If I had to guess, it was created during the heyday of Harry Potter, as that coincides with when TV Tropes was getting popular (there are approximately 24 pages with Harry Potter-related titles, three of which, including "Ron the Death Eater," are fanon terms). Based on the current Trope-naming guidelines, were the same page created today it might well not mention a character at all but be named "Good Guys Go Bad."
I'm going to have to ask you to provide some kind of credible article on Harmony shippers sending death threats as unfortunately Rowling gets so many of them that my searches are turning up more recent events. Were that to be true it would be unfortunate. Disappointment is warranted, and the expression of that disappointment is allowed, but one should not send death threats, especially not over this.
I can't comment on "classist body shaming and look shaming comments" as I've never seen those particular attacks made. Unless you're referring to the bit from canon where he's got dirt on his nose? Ron is canonically tall and thin-- who on earth is body shaming him for that? And in comparison to whom? Harry is also skinny, with knobby knees.
Attacking Harmony shippers for their reading comprehension is another ad hominem attack and I must request that you desist on that front. For one, it's inaccurate to say that someone who ships Harmony lacks reading comprehension. Reading comprehension is simply the ability to read a text, process it, and understand its meaning. Two people can have equally good reading comprehension but reach a different understanding of the text by focusing on different aspects or bringing different theories to bear.
You seem to adhere to the opposites-attract, pigtail-pulling-is-cute, antagonistic-bickering-is-a-sign-of-attraction school. I concede that is a common enough trope of its own. You focus on the expressions of jealousy toward other romantic interests, the virulence of their squabbles and the explicit details provided. The very things you seem to favor, the "love-hate relationship" are the same things which concern Harmony fans, who worry that such a relationship would ultimately be unhealthy and devolve into domestic violence. If the 'hate' part of love-hate got significantly better over time, then it wouldn't be as much of an issue, but as late as book six Hermione has escalated from trading insults with Ron to sending birds to attack him. In book seven, when Ron returns Hermione punches him, yells at him, and wants her wand to curse him. We don't see them practicing a lot of healthy conflict resolution-- Hermione rightfully bears a grudge that doesn't seem to be resolved until after they visit the Lovegoods, and we don't see them have a discussion where they talk it out as much as they just go through another particularly dangerous event and it makes them ignore and forget any previous conflict-- just like books one and three. Once they're no longer fighting trolls, death eaters, and Voldemort, can Hermione and Ron actually resolve their disagreements?
In contrast, I, and many other Harmony fans, look for exchanges of support and comfort, understanding one another, prioritizing one another. I look at details such as Hermione's words to Harry in the Potions Challenge in book one, her bringing him toast the morning after the Triwizard champions are selected in book four, and his trust in her and prioritization of her desires in book five. There are also the details in book six of Harry comforting Hermione and talking her up to Slughorn and her comforting him in book seven when they visit the Potters' grave or when they learn about Dumbledore. There are a variety of times where they display compatibility by knowing what one another is thinking, or how they're likely to act. While Harry and Hermione do argue, they still treat each other with respect and even while at odds Harry usually acknowledges that Hermione's position is well-meaning. There are other examples where he expresses anger around her, but acknowledges he's not angry at her, but the situation or other people.
Before the explicit introduction of romance in book six, there were only hints in either direction. Even after book six, there was a chance that any romance or attraction wouldn't last. There are many couples who make it through all of high school only to break up as they get older. A first attraction between Ron and Hermione could have flared and burnt out, and Harry and Hermione could have gotten together in the end. Neither Harry's attraction to Cho nor Ron's to Lavender lasted, after all.
Now for the Ginny "fanfic" you mentioned. Are you talking about the forum post of that name from twenty years ago? The one that's not a fanfic, but a conception of ways that Ginny could be removed in book seven? That only actually has only 196 ways? I'll grant you they're not the most tasteful, but this has been done for many characters over the years, including Hermione, Draco, Abigail Chaffee and Edward Cullen.
I'd disagree about who the most toxic people in the fandom are. You yourself reblogged a post acknowledging the toxicity of the Romione fans. In addition to having seen numerous attacks on Harmony fans by Romione fans (including yourself), I've often seen incredibly toxic behavior from Marauders era fans (ex: 1 2 3), especially the ones who ignore most of canon. I think there has been a decent amount of hatred towards Tonks and Remadora (ex: 1, 2, 3) but it's also easy for most Wolfstar shippers to ignore her existence, considering most Wolfstar occurs before the Remadora relationship is even remotely possible. I can't be bothered to expose myself to HarryxDeathEater ships to find examples of them being abusive to Ginny-- I have most of those tags blocked-- but I'm fairly certain Drarry fans have engaged in just as much Ginny bashing and the use of that love-potion trope you don't like.
Accusing someone of "playing the victim card" is a common form of gaslighting and I suggest you remove it from your vocabulary before your erroneous use causes harm. You're also applying it in a situation where it's false. To play the victim card, one must be fabricating or exaggerating victimhood. To see two asks where someone called me a bitch, look here and here. I've deleted others. Here's an out of the blue attack on Lily and here and here are some against Hermione. In your above response you validated what I said about attacks on reading comprehension, but here's another example. And here's the call for negativity against Harmony shippers. As you can see, these are neither fabrications, nor exaggerations and therefore your accusation is false.
Further, you would really rather preach that all Harmony shippers should accept being victims of cruelty, simply because some may have engaged in negative behavior in the past (and a past that in some cases is twenty years and a whole generation of fans ago)? That seems a rather slippery slope, don't you think? It's thinking like that which has synagogues in Canada and Australia firebombed, when those with particular views on Israel/Palestine attack all Jews over their disagreement with the Israeli government, even when those Jews have no say in what the Israeli government does. It's one thing to disagree with a particular person holding views you don't like, it's another to call for an attack on all shippers. Such an attitude only perpetuates toxicity in fandom.
Defend your ship if you like, but if you want a less toxic fandom, constrain yourself to arguing over the text. After all, don't you want to sow positivity for yourself, lest you dislike what you reap?
There is one thing in common with the PeterMJ (Spider-Man/Marvel) and Romione (Harry Potter) shippers; both of their pairings are 'canon' and have everything going for them thanks to favoritism by the author (J.K. Rowling)/ comic writers (Marvel). Despite all that, these
'canon' shippers aren't satisfied with having an already huge following and seek/continue to tear down on other ships (Harmione & PeterGwen) just to push their pairings to front and center. People like these are why we hate fandoms.
I can't comment on the Marvel portion of this ask as my knowledge of that universe is limited in scope and I'm not an active member of its fandom.
As for the Harry Potter part...
I think Romione fans have the issue that while their pairing is canon, it's not well developed in the text (very few pairings in Harry Potter are). We're told that they get together, marry, and have children, yet we don't actually see a lot of development of the relationship blocks that would support the longevity of their marriage. Yes, they went through the war together (although Ron abandoned them for a good portion of that) and yes they were friends, but their friendship was highly contentious and they spent significant portions of each year not speaking to one another or not hanging out (first year before they were friends, second year when she was petrified, most of third year, part of fourth where Hermione was more with Harry, part of sixth year, and part of seventh). Now, technically, first and second year don't count, but honestly, the only year they spend the entirety of together where they don't have a major fight is their fifth year. We know they like each other from Hermione's actions in book six and Ron's in seven, but we don't really see why they do, why that would turn into love rather than a teenage crush, or why they'd make it as adults.
Supposedly Hermione likes Ron because he's funny. Supposedly Hermione's maturity makes up for Ron's lack and he gets her to open up. While there's something to her liking someone who can lighten things up, if that's all then she could just as easily have liked one of the Weasley Twins instead. As a Hermione-type myself, I've often liked guys who were funny, but them being funny isn't enough. The guy I dated when I was 17 was funny, but he also lacked drive and dedication and in the end that made us incompatible in the long-run. Yeah, it's nice to have friends that can make you laugh, but in a partner for life you want someone you don't have to nag all the time when you need them to do something.
We also know that JKR admitted that Romione was her personal wish-fulfilment, clinging to her original idea of the plot, whatever that was, rather than a natural outcome of what she actually wrote. She also said they'd have needed counseling and their relationship was further questioned in the Cursed Child.
This puts Romione shippers on a weaker footing than most canon-pair shippers in other fandoms, making them defensive. Yes, they have the benefit of canon, but not the textual support, other than 'well, our people got married.' They can be threatened by Harmony supporters, who have fairly well crafted arguments grounded in the text for why Harry and Hermione make sense as a pairing. This makes Harmony a greater threat than pairings which are more loosely grounded in the books: Dramione, for instance, is never going to happen in a close-to-canon universe, but it takes very few tweaks to make Harmony work. Additionally, many of the arguments used in favor of Romione are equally as powerful for Harmony, such as the length of their friendship. Indeed, many of the arguments regarding Hermione's feelings for Harry specifically are a lot stronger, because we do see instances where she chooses Harry over Ron, such as in the seventh book.
It is unfortunate that these tend to become rather nasty fights that devolve into personal attacks on the sanity, demeanor, or reading comprehension of the Harmony shipper. I've seen many people go after another Harmony shipper on here pretty nastily, and I've heard tiktok and instagram are worse. Some screenshots I've seen are basically Romione shippers vowing to spread negativity about Harmony just because they don't like some of the fanfic people have written. As if it weren't possible to just, you know, not read the fanfic you don't like.
It would be nice not to get people randomly calling me a bitch in my inbox, but you know, such is life. I don't know if they dislike me more for shipping Harmony or Jily at this point but I really don't care.

For your judging of romantic ships:
Viktor Krum and Hermione Granger
Peter Pettigrew and Remus Lupin
Alphard Black and Tom Riddle (I submit this one humorously already knowing you’ll almost certainly go “it both makes sense and compels me” per your other posts, but feel free to talk about them again if you want to)
Percy Weasley and Penelope Clearwater
(and additionally if you want to/or if you have naught to speak of on Penelope then Percy Weasley and Oliver Wood)
Viktor Krum and Hermione Granger:
category 1: makes sense, compels me. I am SO here for this ship. honestly i would've liked it if they ended up together as endgame in canon. i love how they can have deep and long and substantive conversations. and how they respect each other's intellect and get along so seamlessly and how neither is threatened by the other's talent and how they both see beyond each other's surface level exterior to the complexity within. (also my Harmione shipper brain wants to point out that Viktor is a dark haired surly quidditch player with a lot of depth underneath who hates his fame...which uh...kinda seems like maybe she has a type).
Peter Pettigrew and Remus Lupin:
Category 3: doesn't make sense, compels me. I cannot express how much I am here for this. It seems like an absolute mess. what's better than 1 seemingly mild mannered but secretly kinda manipulative man filled with self hatred and repressed anger? why two of course. plus there's all that history. would it happen? probably not. but I so badly want to read about absolute toxic trainwreck that would be this ship.
Alphard Black and Tom Riddle: now some might think this would be a category 3. But that is because they are sad, unenlightened souls who do net yet understand that actually Alphard Black is definitely an actual real character, Alphalord is extremely canon, and Alphard's death was actually a critical turning point that shaped Voldemort's actions and the direction of the whole narrative. So what other score can I give one of my favorite ships of all time other than category 1: makes sense, compels me?
Percy Weasley and Penelope Clearwater:
category 2: makes sense, doesn't compel me. they're cute. they make sense. i think the depth of his feelings for her kinda gets dismissed by his family (like they make fun of him for being shocked and upset when she gets petrified) which sucks. i'm here for it, but there's nothing that particularly makes me want to read about it.
Percy Weasley and Oliver Wood
Answered here.
send me a ship and I'll tell you which of these categories it falls into
#asks#ask game#Harry Potter#Alphalord#Peter Pettigrew#Remus Lupin#Lupin/Pettigrew#what's the shipname for that? wolfrat?

Have people forgotten that Fiction is not real and that non Canon ships are just a fun lil fantasy people have because they saw something possible between two characters. I LOVE zutara always have and jfc I know it's not cannon but I still think it could have been something.
saying things like they're from different sides and it's colonizer and colonized or toxic and so unreal is so silly, yall realize that these things do happen in real life and throughout fiction since forever. Romeo and Juliet, people who work for different companies, Japanese and Korean lovers, Mexican and American lovers.
life isn't black and white nor perfect and neither should fiction be. toxic situations happen but thay doesn't mean people wont fall in love whether that love is good for them or not. (disclaimers I still think zutara would have been firey and wholesome but that's another argument)
and not to mention fiction and fanfiction can be a way to live and imagine a situations that may be unrealistic to your personal situation or even just a fantasy or Even a kink.
let people have their Zutara, Dramione, Harmione and what not
rant over

I fucking hate it when HP editors/toxic canon shippers use the ‘Harmione’ tag on insta to post/promote ‘platonic soulmates’ or ‘friendship ship’ nonsense.
omg... me too! the "platonic soulmates" argument is soooo tiring. it makes my blood boil a little. i just stay away from the main hp fandom when it comes to ships. cuz hhr is absolutely the hill i will die on. i feel like the reason ppl don't like hhr is because they inherently do not like hermione, as a character, person, etc. they buy into the hermione is a bossy, know-it-all, sjw, girl boss agenda which is hated on for misogynistic reasons (in my opinion). i feel like they genuinely do not like that she is a strong female character (at least the author's version of that) and because of that they do not like her with harry because it somehow takes away from harry's character, or harry would just not be the kind of guy to like "that". i think ppl that see the beauty in harry x hermione genuinely LOVE hermione. like, she is the main character.

Why Hinny is Better than Harmione
I was just rereading CoS and realized something. We know that Hinny is canon and Harry has never had romantic feelings for Hermione. Harmione (HarryxHermione) is honestly a thing only bcuz of the movies, which make Hinny seem very awkward and sudden, while they always had that spark in the books. The movies seem to forshadow Harmione more than Hinny, but Harry has only ever thought of Hermione as a sister. He has only romantic feelings for 2 people, and that is Cho Chang in his 4th year and Ginny in his 6th.
Harry hates the limelight and doesn't want to be famous, which we know from GoF. Hermione in CoS seems to fall for Gilderoy Lockhart's (The fraud) charms, while Ginny seems to think he's stupid and doesn't deserve the attention. Hermione is a stickler for rules, as shown in PS, but she gets better as she matures. Ginny (The Poor Girl!) has to mature by the age of 11, as did Harry. She saw things no person should ever see. I wouldn't ever wish what happened to Ginny on anyone, even my worst enemy. No One deserves that. Ginny says that she is the only one who could understand what it felt like being possessed by Voldemort in the 6th book, to which Harry replies that he forgot. Ginny, with all her sarcastic wit, is a bitch to him (She a Bad Bitch!), which he honestly deserves at that point. But her not falling for Lockhart's charms just shows that she is a good Candidate as a Potential girlfriend for Harry.
Also, when they go to Flourish and Blotts to get their school books, after Harry makes the front page with Lockhart, Malfoy comes in and be like "Famous Harry Potter, Cant even go into a bookshop without making the front page!" to which Ginny defends Harry, saying that he didn't want all the attention ( And let's be honest, Harry has never wanted it.) and Malfoy comebacks with calling her his Girlfriend. I squealed when I reread it the first time, bcuz I had read HBP recently, and realized the huge amount of foreshadowing, which shows that J.K Rowling always planned to make them end up together.
If you haven't realized by now, I'm a huge Hinny fan and think Drarry is complete shit. It's toxic and it doesn't make sense. But I will indulge my reasons for this mindset in another post.
I honestly just wanted a place to rant, and Tumblr is really just perfect for that, so here we go! I'll see you guys reading at my next post, so Bye!

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Saw this and decided to do it myself... Obviously no one tagged me. As I carry on procrastinating the final chapter of HYGTG, lemme do this 😂 Also gonna change from AO3 to Tumblr 😊.
1. How many works do you have on Tumblr?
I've got 21 works, majority of them are Enhypen smaus and then there's the few one shots/Imagines. And my longest fanfic which is Invisible a Han Seojun fanfic.
2. What's your total Tumblr word count?
So this is just counting Invisible and the one shots Ive written, 41k... Majority of that is Invisible
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Kpop, specifically the group Enhypen. I add Harry Potter into that.
4. Top five fics by Notes?
Invisible at the top with the masterlist having 649 notes... Ngl seeing this makes me want to rewrite Invisible...
Unexpected Partners has 468 notes. Which makes sense, my Jungwon fics tend to be quite popular.
Peace has 365 notes. This was my first Enha & Harry Potter fic. I do love this one.
You Belong With Me has 337 notes. Another Harry Potter AU with a Jungwon redemption arc...
The Second Choice has 307 notes. Another Jay smau but this one is a Office Au with a toxic bestie.
Honestly apart from Invisible and Unexpected Partners being top 1 and 2, I wasn't expecting any of the other ones on this list.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yep, I wish I got more comments but I always reply to the comments I do get.
Shout out to @shinkenprincess-oh for always commenting <3
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I am very much against angsty endings. Happy endings all the way.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
All my fics have happy endings so I don't even know which one has the happiest ending...
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Havent gotten any yet and I dont want to get hate either please.
9. Do you write smut?
Nope and I never will.
10. Craziest crossover?
I guess constantly mixing Harry Potter with kpop is as crazy as my crossovers get.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Thankfully no but I'd like for it to not happen.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope but I am open to it if anyone interested.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope, that would be interesting to do though.
14. All time favorite ship?
Okay so thats a hard one... I'm gonna go with my top 4.
Harmione {Harry Potter and Hermione Granger}. I am a diehard Harry and Hermione shipper. I just love them so much.
Olicity {Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak}. I was shipping them from the moment Felicity was introduced on the show.
Damianette {Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Damian Wayne}. All my knowledge of DC has come from reading Maribat fics and I do not regret that in the slightest.
Rogan {Rory Gilmore and Logan Huntzberger}. They will forever be my ultimate ship. In my headcanon they ended up together happily ever after.
15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Its more like whats an idea that I actually want to write... Its a hard one cause I have so many ideas running about in my head that very few of them actually make it to being published...
16. What are your writing strengths?
I guess coming up with backstories for my characters? Making people care even though you are only seeing the story through texts and tweets? Character development and growth?
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Haha... Everything?
18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?
I think its quite interesting but I would like a translation somewhere so that I at least know whats been said. Unless its important to the plot then its fine.
19. First fandom you wrote in?
Technically it was Pixelberry Choices Mobile Games stories(? dunno what else to call them) specifically I wrote for High School Story and High School Story Class Act. I have since deleted those fics from my tumblr and Wattpad, they are still on AO3 but I've orphaned them.
Invisible my True Beauty fic is the one that I count as the first fandom I wrote in.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
I legitimately cant pick one, so shameless plug for whoever comes across this to check out my Enhypen Masterlist and True Beauty Masterlist.
Whoever wants to do this, go and have fun cause I have no idea who to tag...

Do you hate Hermione coz it's like she disappeared from the story after she and Harry argued its like she stopped attending hogwarts no mention of her anywhere just asking she was his best friend for 5 years any reason you have that you thought it better to avoid her or its to pissof the toxic Harmione fans
I dislike Hermione’s character and have no interest in writing her. I used to write to cater to readers but that was so toxic and mentally exhausting to the point where my hobby felt like a chore. Now I just do me. If you like it, great. If not, I don’t care.

So you make a post on theHarmione pairing getting too much hate, don’t bother turning off the comments(probably to get the toxic Romione shippers’s rubbish comments in view) and then don’t bother answering asks which calls those fools out!?? Yeah, you are a hypocrite and fool. Harmione shippers might’ve liked your post but you ain’t fooling me. You still support trash like Wolfstar, Dramione and romione. You are just as rotten as hermiones-amortentia(the biggest romione toxic loser on this site).
Buddy, leave me alone? Lmao. I leave the comments on because people are free to comment, and I can’t control what they say. My post was a pretty innocent and simple thing talking about the unnecessary hate Harmione gets, it was not some grand plot/plan to expose toxic Romione shippers or whatever you think is happening. And if you’re mad that I didn’t answer an ask, you’re going to have to be more specific because I have multiple and have no clue which one you’re referring to.
Anyway, yes, I do support Romione. I’m quite literally a Romione shipper…so, no duh? And while I don’t personally ship Wolfstar or Dramione, I don’t mind either one, so sure, I guess you can say I “support” them. I’m a multishipper—I enjoy multiple ships, and I don’t waste my time getting worked up over what other people like. Maybe try that sometime.
#talking about some toxic romione shippers#when you yourself aren’t any better#only “hypocrite” here is you#toxic shippers are the most annoying people ever#go argue with a wall#or go outside or something idk#literally ridiculous

hiii omg first of all, thank you guys, this blog is so fun, helped me discover so many new fics!! Basically I am looking for this fic I read on ao3, that was set after the war. It was an established relationship at the beginning. Draco and Harry were in this sort of tumultuous relationship that made a lot of their friends think draco was toxic for harry and at some point, they including harmione who was secretly in love with H in this fic, abducted him, oblivated him and put him in the muggle world where he had to fend for himself. He had no recollection of his past for most of it but kept getting flashbacks. he didn't even remember he was a wizard. I remember the first time D and H met afterwards in some kind of café where D worked and there was some big flash and fighting ect like they were not supposed to meet evee. I would be so so so grateful if you could help me find it! I've been driving myself crazy lately haha btw it is NOT "hidden in plain sight" even though it has lots of similarities in the plot. Thank you in advance!

For choose violence: 6, 23 & 24
[i've gotten so many of these -- thank you so much guys, this actually means the world to me that someone cares about my thoughts!]
from: choose violence ask game
6. which ship fans are the most annoying?
It really depends. Nowadays, probably wolfstar. Some of them are pretty fucking annoying. But it's far from what it used to be. I was here during the gold old ship war days, and I remember dramione and harmione (?) stans being the most annoying people on the face of the earth. 2012 dramione fandom anyone? the ron bashing?? 2016 jily stans with the anti-snape posts??? *shudders*
Not to say the Marauders fandom isn't toxic now but my policy is to: block block block whenever I see people who say atrocious things with 100% conviction.
Also, I just can't stand, as a general rule, people supporting wildly fanon ships over canon ones, and trying to unironically argue why they work better... There is literally nothing wrong with liking a crack!ship, I could argue that's the point of fanfiction, but don't insult my intelligence. Sometimes I see takes where the only possible solution would be for the author to read the source material again.
23. ship you've unwillingly come around to
Unwillingly is a strong word... I have read some good Tomarry fics in the last year (but. like. literally three (3). don't get excited) which is something that I would have rather gauged my own eyes out than do in the past. But then again only under very specific conditions for themes/setting/length/etc. It's not something I would ever look for, it's something I read if I know the author from other works and think “let's give it a try”... so, probably, I'm actually more in love with those authors' writing ability than the actual ship. You can tell if you actually like a ship in the following way: mediocre stories still make you swoon. You can tell if you like an author in the following way: I would rather get slapped in the face than read this ship but you make it interesting/enjoyable.
Jily is another, not because I disliked it in the way I dislike Tomarry but just 'cause it bores me a little. After exhausting any and all Snape character studies where he mopes about Lily (happy-ending Snily is not something I've ever liked) I thought meh, why not.
Oh! And you might be absolutely shocked to hear this but Belladolphus was one of these too. I was (and always will be) a Bellamort shipper, for my first few years in the fandom I was indifferent to Rodolphus at best. The man doesn't have a (1) single line in the books and we don't even really know what he looks like, but he's my angel and my baby and my darling and I accept no Rodolphus Lestrange slander in this house. Now, they're one of my favourites.
24. topic that brings up the most rancid discourse
In canon or out of canon? Because I feel that's different.
In canon probably Snape. The world isn't split into sexual assault apologists and Death Eater apologists, we all have some functioning brain cells and critical thinking skills, it's important we choose to stay in the fucking middle.
Out of canon... come on, you don't need me to tell you what it is. Personally, I think that pointing out the flaws in a book series is important and useful to the general public (and so many criticisms of the series are incredibly valid), but clutching your pearls because the kids decorate for Christmas in Grimmauld Place and *gasp* “I cannot believe JKR wrote her characters putting christmas decorations on the disembodied heads of slaves and thought "yes. this is good. very cute and charming."” (yes, this is a real comment someone made on the internet, i didn't write this. yes, it has hundreds of likes.)
Guys. It's not that deep. It's played as grotesque in the same way the Addams Family is. The Blacks are spooky ha-ha that's the joke. It's played for dark giggles, literally not that fucking deep. Although maybe I'm wrong and insensitive for this, but come on. Feel free to correct me.
Also, something that most people don't get about the Blacks: they weren't unkind to their house elves, or at least not in the way we think. Again, the Blacks are a bit like the Addams family in this scenario, they have a macabre way of doing stuff: their elves were all very devoted and thought it was an honour to be beheaded (which happened when they were too old or weak to carry the tea tray) and Kreacher even hopes that that will be his destiny when his time comes, like his mother before him. Dumbledore also says that "Mistress Cissy and Mistress Bella" were probably kind to Kreacher in their own way - Sirius was the one who was cruel to him, actually. They all saw elves as their natural slaves (which is bad), but they were part of the family just as much as servants were for an aristocratic family of the 1700s/1800s.
