My first overnight CYCLING ride.

On 25th November 2023, Saturday night, we all started from Decathlon and rode townside, exploring the famous monuments.

From 10:30 pm to 8 am next day, we were cycling. There was a slight drizzle after midnight around 12:30 am to 1 am. High wind, thunder and lightning started at around 4:30 am. It was raining from 4:45 am to 6:45 am.

We glimpsed at some shooting happening at Gateway Of India, with laser show and Indian flag projection.

Dev Diwali or Tripoorari Pournima or Full Moon in the early hours of Sunday, at Taj Mahal Hotel Palace.

It was raining. We were a bit cold from the ride and took a halt at the famous RamAshrya (old) restaurant at Matunga East. There was a queue from 4:45 am and the restaurant opens at 5:30 am precise. Hungry people rushed in to grab their seats. Only idli, upma, sheera, filter coffee is served at this time and then later sabudana wada is added. I counted 18 items on the menu, out of which around 6 were served at this time of daybreak. That's all. Keep it simple and delicious. Not fancy with some exotic names, to attract. Give quality and people will throng. The breakfast of steaming idli pudi, pineapple sheera, lemon juice and filter coffee was refreshing and we continued our ride home.

The glass exterior is literally reflecting the cloudy sky.

Overall Decathlon Malad had managed the cycling ride of around 100 riders nicely. There were 3 halts or pitstops. One at T2 on the Highway, then at Shivaji Park and last one at Asiatic library. A small tempo was hired carrying water and breakfast. Sandwiches were served at Asiatic library.

This was the best selfie of the entire trip!

Another slightly rainy morning at Sunlit Tides.

But the rain didn't stop Alexis from going to his Martial Arts training, which he attends on his (three) days off. Lucretia Parrott and Alastair Adams are there too.

Due to his efforts, he quickly became a Yellow Belt (Level 2).
