I HAVE THIS THEORY ABOUT V THAT I KEEP THINKING ABOUT
SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3, EPISODE 214 (#631) OF THE TOG WEBTOON, SCREENSHOTS ARE INCLUDED, PLEASE DON'T LOOK IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Y'all remember this scene? Where V decided to share this power with everyone in the tower? The very power that has brought misery to not only the family leaders, but to thousands of people in the tower?
I've been thinking; sure, he may have had good intentions at the time and he really was just a himbo (I say this affectionately), but I had another thought. What if V did this intentionally? What if he was entirely aware of the consequences his actions would have?
Recent episodes have really made me question V and his choices, and I can't help but wonder if his oblivious and carefree persona is just a facade.
I MEAN LOOK AT THIS FACE
Tumblr media
THIS IS THE FACE OF EVILLL
A very handsome face. LMAO
Anyways, I'm really hyped for future episodes and I wish I could afford the fast pass on webtoon 😭 does anyone else have any theories about V too? If so then please do share 👀 V is living in my head rent free and I need to talk about him

[ cw: violence mention / death mention / ]
Will never stop thinking about how Leo, all alone in an endless void and being beaten again and again and again by the only other living thing around, still finds comfort in that space. The situation he was in was completely hopeless, and in any other circumstances he would not have escaped, at least not fast enough to save him from permanent (or even fatal) damage, be it physical or mental.
And yet, despite the bleakness of his situation, despite the agony and helplessness, all he needs is one glance at a crumbled photograph, one glance to remember his family, and that’s enough of a reason for him to smile.
Maybe that’s why his powers center around manipulating space - because no matter how much space is between them, no matter how dire his own situation may be, just the thought of his family, alive and okay, is enough to give Leo hope.
#rottmnt#rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles#rottmnt leo#rise leo#the prison dimension is horrifying on its own#add in a monstrous being that towers over you and has vowed to ensure your suffering?#god I can’t imagine how scary that is#Mikey opening the portal was a miracle because if he hadn’t managed it there#it’s really up in the air what could have become of Leo#personally I subscribe by the theory that you straight up can’t die in the prison dimension#so it’s a prison in all ways#but the thought of a Leo who manages anyway who adapts and continues to have hope despite it all…#Leo saying he’s nothing without his family is a double edged sword really#because the thought of his family alone is all he needs to live. to hope.#to smile#nothing without them…but they’re EVERYTHING to him#and maybe he doesn’t realize it but…the feeling is mutual#one thing too is that hope that comforts Leo so much is not just that#should he think his family needs help - that hope can turn into determination#I’m unwell about this family#actually on my point of their powers - I truly do think the abilities tie in not only to their personalities#but to their relationship to family and love in general#kinda like love languages in a way#Mikey with his chains and time abilities values being around his family the most - he wants them to experience living in the moment togethe#Donnie is someone who is 100% a gift giver to show his love - his constructs are exactly that aren’t they? gifts of his mind#Raph is someone who willingly bears the weight of the shield - he protects his family like the best big brother possible#and Leo - he goes off on his own a lot but his mind is constantly on his family anyway#like a sailor at sea no matter how far he travels the compass always point in one direction - and for him that compass points home#even if he can’t make it back - it’s still there#and that’s enough

Korean Fastpass Spoiler Theory
Alright, the latest chapter reveals that the immortality contract in some way suppressed the emotions the FH’s feel.
Even by the Ameuz flashback, a lot of them seemed deadened. All of them except Yirang. We also know the Yeon flame reacts based on the user’s emotional state, such as getting a lot stronger when Ehwa was angry.
Yirang didn’t want to lose the emotions she felt, however I’m going to guess that like others, by now she’s lost the pure soul she had then. However, what if something happens in the future, separate from breaking the contract, that causes her emotions to come back.
Like, imagine her crying for the first time in like 10,000 years. Imagine the power she would show in that moment. Imagine her becoming the true pinnacle of a Family Head because she accepts the emotions she feels and moves forward with them.
That would truly be peak

Zahard downplay is crazy. I'll grant Phantaminum (though regardless of how easily he could have defeated Zahard, fact of the matter is also that for some reason he didn't *shrug*). But Enryu (in its extent) and Urek?
Enryu fought an Admin (whom I, and that's just my personal opinion, believe to not be categorically more powerful than fully realized Irregulars outside of their supposed administrator monopoly over shinsu and its distribution, at least no to the point of categorically out fire - powering said Irregulars) and some fodder but people make the gulf between him an Zahard akin to heaven and earth (nevermind that Enryu is not an administrator, so the whole "but he killed one, and SIU said Zahard could never do it!" is somewhat of a false equivalent to draw for a hypothetical Enryu and Zahard battle. Anyone remember the whole "King of the Tower" Zahard deal, granted said position by virtue of the administrators? Of course he couldn't kill an administrator, he's the Irregular with the most known administrator contracts ("shackles") out of them all).
Mind you, I'm not even saying Zahard would win against Enryu or anything, but he IS 1) a fellow Irregular capable of Shinwonryu 2) a physical anomaly and durability machine, so I don't think it's weird to grant him better reaction times and endurance to say, a first volley of "Red Rain", than background rank and file Rankers. He also categorically doesn't underestimate people, even his far younger and inexperienced data only gradually tested Bam because he absolutely trashed him in their first encounter and wanted to have some fun, so it's unlikely Outside Zahard wouldn't realize the threat Enryu poses (SIU did say he had excellent survival instincts as befitting an adventurer) or not start all out. I'd even argue that to Outside Zahard a nearly hopeless fight to the death would be the equivalent of the fun his data self had with Bam, whether he himself has realized that or not (as reckognized by his data <3).
Urek punched through some scenery, fought an upjumped administrator parasite, needing Bam's help for the finish and had an exchange of hits with Luslec who chose to bounce. The fact of this extended battle screentime alone makes it narratively unlikely that Zahard is only going to be slightly more dangerous, because I see no way that wouldn't feel highly underwhelming to the audience. But even with those "feats" trying to argue that he's more powerful and how widespread that opinion seems already is kinda crazy. There's a reason 90% of Urek>Zahard is based on the old blogpost info about Arie Hon saying that Urek was "far better" than him when they fought at his floor (which. Big whoop, so was Zahard, 10:1 in that regard for him, since we're using blogpost info and such).
And again in reverse, I'm not saying Urek is not incredibly powerful in his own right or deserving of his high ranking, simply that he has yet to tangibly demonstrate something that would put, say, his physical strength (something I've surprisingly often seen as the edge people would give him over Zahard, when imo, giving him an advantage in speed seems far more likely, given his signature technique of "firing shinsu at the speed of light" and everything about Zahard's highlighted monstrous strength) above Zahard, who has the entire Princess of Zahard stuff on his side as a "feat" in that regard alone (creating Princesses out of not only Great Family members but even random Towerborn physically superior to all Ten Great Families average and the (physical) equal of Rankers even all the way back on the Floor of Tests with just a little of his power).
I'll also say that the whole concept of "yeah, number 1 and 2 are definitely stronger than number three (this checks out), but ACTUALLY number four was also stronger than number three all along!" (Uhh, what? In that case, don't give Urek a definitive ranking built into the earlierst lore, that so far checks out (Phantaminum>Enryu>Zahard), and make him a Traumerei or something) would just feel...Random. Especially since number three is the primary antagonist of the whole series.
Tldr; I see the gap between Zahard and Urek as likely to be wider than the one between Zahard and Enryu.

something something samsara cycles I don't think it's a coincidence that the overthrow of Decarabian involved Jean and Diluc's ancestor + Venti's lookalike friend -> Mondstadt archon quest the key players taking down Dvalin were Jean and Diluc + Venti
Is. Traveler Amos?
Or put another way, traveler is the one with the floaty friend -> bard has the floaty friend. Venti is friends with Dvalin the terror of the tower/Amos is friends? Lovers? Something? With Decarabian the tyrant in the tower. Venti -> Amos, Traveler -> Nameless bard, Paimon -> Venti?

KBW '23 - Day 07: Heal/Anomaly (feat. Mandela Catalogue AU)
an intriguing case, with some claiming the answer is crystal-clear.
This artwork has a 1.2k fic (rated T for swears and one gunshot). Go check it out though - keeping the Work Skin on, of course.

Predicting it now Rachel betrays Yura in the future
I feel like Yura’s admiring of Rachel is way too deja vu to how Bam admired Rachel back then and it scares me.

"The Seed of a King"
So the person who raised Ja Wangnan called him "the seed of a king". There is also an actual folktale about The Emperor's Seed, which I'm going to summarize here just briefly:
The Emperor was getting old and didn't have any children of his own. So he invited all the children around the country to his palace and told them, to their big surprise, that one of them was going to become his successor.
The Emperor then gave all of them a seed. They should plant it and take care of it, and to return in a year with what had grown.
There was one child who tended his planter very well, but there just weren't any signs of life to be seen. Other children had extraordinarily beautiful flowers and trees growing from their pots, but thist one child had nothing.
When a year had passed, everyone was again invited to the palace. The Emperor studied every plant carefully - also the empty pot of that one poor child, who was very embarrassed and anxious.
Finally, the Emperor said: "A year ago, I gave everyone a seed. But the seeds I gave you were all unviable. They wouldn't grow, and still, for some reason, I see thousands of flowers and plants."
In the end, the only honest child was chosen as his successor.
Call me silly, but after reading the story I though:
Maybe, just maybe, SIU had this story as an inspiration for the whole Jahad clones -thing...
Then would it mean that the real "prince" is the one who's least extraordinanary/king-like, or unexpected in some other way?
Now I want so badly that "the seed of a king" is a literal thing! The Workshop could definitely invent something as wacky as human seeds… Didn't flowers exist in the tower before humans or beasts, anyway?
Just imagine if there used to be a tiny flower pot with an even tinier Ja Wangnan growing from it. If only I could draw.

So, who all here plays tower of god new world? Idk much about the game other then the snippets of lore I've seen (bc I don't have the proper device to play it cries), but if there is something to be spoiled then be cautious! There will be spoilers in this post for the game, and minor spoilers for the webtoon if you squint.
So, let's start with this bit of lore from new world
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Now, I'm not sure if this is 100% true, but if it IS, then omg do I have this wild theory. What I get from this is that the residents of the tower (regulars) are the ones being referred to as the small humans, and the big humans being the irregulars.
So what if Jahad, the family leaders, Arlene and V were sent inside? Like, it wasn't just about the adventure, they came in to tear the place down from the inside for their goddess.
But I also have a theory that the tower corrupts people, and that's why Jahad decided to lock the higher floors. Or in other words, no longer carry out their given mission. Originally I had wondered if there was something malicious on the higher floors and that's why Jahad had locked them, to keep this entity sealed away. But now I'm having second thoughts.
Honestly, this is such a big lore bomb and I REALLY hope it's true because that would make the story of tog so much more interesting.
Now, next I wanna talk about Rachel. Credit goes to Dr. Bonehead on youtube for this theory, I'm only sharing my thoughts on this. Let me know if y'all want a link to the video if you wanna watch.
The possibility that Rachel was from the outside of the tower didn't really cross my mind, but now, I can see it being possible. How would she know about the stars, or what life is like on the outside? Of course there's the possibility that she's heard stories from someone (possibly Arlene), but what if it's because she once lived outside? It would explain why she wants out of the tower so badly, because she just wants to go home. I've been coming around since getting back into the tog lore, but this theory is what finally made me crack and gain a soft spot for Rachel.
I also really like the idea of Rachel being Arlene's maid or someone that assisted her, because we still don't know why or how Rachel knows about Arlene, so this is a theory that has been stuck with me since watching that video.
What if Arlene really did force Rachel to look after Bam? I mean, Rachel clearly did not want that, so I can see that being a possibility.
Tower of god is just so interesting and I love the theories about the lore, so don't be afraid to share your thoughts with me!
I hope siu will start focusing on more interesting things after the marriage (*cough* harem *cough*) arc is over, like Jahad and the family leaders for example. I'm so interested in them and what they were like back then and what they're like now! I also really wanna see Khun Eduan 😭
Anyways, until next time ✌️

Guys, idk about anyone else but I'm starting to suspect the reason why Zahard was angry at Arlene and his motivations as a character might be a bit more layered than simply having his proposal rejected...🤔 Almost like his choices might be based on his ideals and not simply love triangle drama and the greatest war in the history of the Tower, kickstarted by V and Arlene, might have tarnished his proudest accomplishment and goal.

Sometimes I wonder if snow has a lot of significance in ToG.
About Horyang (Ilmar): during his backstory, after becoming the devil's right arm, we see he's being transported somewhere unknown. When I was reading this part, I remember it felt like Horyang was being transported to either be discarded/ destroyed, or sold to someone because the Workshop was done with him. Anyway Headon appears, the transport driver is shocked, Horyang is taken by Headon, and that's how Horyang ended up climbing the Tower. (S2 chapter 42).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The place Horyang was being transported to was over a body of water, and it was snowing. Horyang stated that it was his first snow back then, and that he thought it was beautiful. In the distance, there seems to be a fuzzy silhouette of maybe a giant tree or multiple trees.
About Wangnan: there's a scene (S2 chapter 230) where Wangnan tells Miseng that he was born in a cold place, and the Hell Train's cold climate is easy for him to deal with.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
About Arlene: we learn in season 3 that Arlene has stayed at a place called Seolhyangwon that has eternal snow within it (S3 chapter 132).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
------------------
What if all three of these mentions of snow and the cold are connected? Maybe it's a coincidence that they all have something to do with cold weather (and the possible tree silhouette in Horyang's flashback and Seolhyangwon is a coincidence too), but I have a hard time ignoring coincidences in this story 😅 Hopefully we get to see more Arlene/ Bam/ V/ Jahad/ Wangnan lore in the upcoming arc

oh, who is she, or the mystery of silly little background character who is totally not a girl ari han (unless...)
chapter 200
context: traum dragged enkidu to be approved to exist by his friends idk and it's like seven people there (eduan, gustang, lady and 4 shadows)
Tumblr media
given the context of this scene and the facts that traum doesn't really respect anyone who is not an irregular/zahard and fhs and most of the other companions already left them for the arlene and v, i highly doubt the lady on the enkidu contract trial can be a regular companion of 13
she's probably one of the yet unseen family heads
my guess is that she is ari family head/ari han. there was a retcon of a family head already, like, hana is not called hana anymore (she lost her hana name in the same 200 chapter i believe, so i guess we might get ari hana as the official ari fh name or siu didn't want to have two girlies han and hana in the same friendgroup)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
plus she kinda looks like bright
(probably more women on the family head list? yasss)
