We’re also going to pretend that whenever MHA takes place in 2XXX, a significant amount of technological and medical advancement allows for dabi to be treated especially since we have LITERAL WORKING MECHA SUITS!! (i guess that has nothing to do with medical advancement but someone hear me out..)

cw: angst, fluff, hurt/comfort, happy/hopeful ending, touya is actually a little dumb and very unaware but that's okay because he's touya
it was a fight that you and touya found yourselves in every couple of months. it'd been a little while since you two started sleeping together and somewhere in the midst of that, it was just as much sex as it was actually sleeping. or eating dinner. or eating breakfast, or watching that movie you love.
it was something more.
something touya actively said he did not want, and could not want, because he's "not gonna be your little boyfriend."
but he was acting like your boyfriend, and that wasn't something you could ignore. so when you suggested going to fuyumi's birthday party as a couple and not as fuyumi's roommate and brother, respectively, it turned into an argument.
of course you both still came to the party, you alone, and touya with a pretty little thing on his arm.
you're not naive, touya has lived so much life before you showed up but you'd never seen evidence of it until it was right in your face.
and touya looked so casual with it, almost bored with the way his arm was slung over her waist, easy with the way he whispered in her ear, and the giant sinking feeling opened in your stomach when his eyes flickered over to you.
see? we're not dating. i'm not your little boyfriend.
touya's stare is casually assholish, something you'd only seen the first few times you met him. something changed after the first time you two slept together, he looked at you differently, at least that's what you thought.
now, you couldn't really tell. not when he was lazily looking down at the woman in front of him, gripping her waist and dragging her body closer to his.
you bid fuyumi a goodnight, promising to catch up with her back at home and exit shouto's apartment with hot tears rolling down your cheeks.
embarrassment hit you in waves as you returned back to your home alone.
touya, for all his wit and charm, didn't expect you to react like that.
he expected screaming, yelling, maybe even a catfight and then you dragging him back to yours. he thought you'd react like the other girls, get in one last, amazing goodbye fuck and realize that's it.
he didn't expect you to look so crestfallen, he didn't expect tears to well up in your eyes, and he didn't expect it to hurt his feelings the way it did.
he's barely had a second to push off the woman he's been holding before fuyumi is dragging him by his collar into a corner, whisper-shouting at him.
"what in the mother fuck is wrong with you?" fuyumi is rarely so crass, but she looks genuinely mad at him.
before touya can answer her, shouto is sliding into the conversation. "touya, your girlfriend just left crying."
touya opens his mouth to argue, but then natsuo's in like a flood. "dude, why'd you bring that other girl in front of your girlfriend?"
"she's not my fuckin' girlfriend."
the sentence lands terribly among his siblings. fuyumi groans loudly, shouto frowns, and natsuo snickers.
"did you ask her to be your girlfriend and she said 'no'?" shouto asks, trying to piece together the missing portions of the story.
touya shakes his head, and before he can reply natsuo butts in again.
"how is she not your girlfriend?"
"i don't want to be her boyfriend," touya spits, feeling like a cornered dog at the moment.
fuyumi looks completely confused, "why?"
and touya...doesn't really have an answer. he's not boyfriend material. he's not gonna go home and meet your parents and be a regular stand up guy. he's too fucked up to be someone's boyfriend, much less yours.
when he doesn't answer fuyumi rolls her eyes. "have you considered, for even a single solitary second, that she just likes you, touya? maybe she wants to be your girlfriend?"
and it's hitting touya over the head how stupid he actually might be and once fuyumi realizes, she's releasing him, shoving him out the door.
"go make up with your girlfriend."
now a heavy pit is dropping in touya's stomach because all he can see is you crying and leaving, and not forgiving him, and he's already fucked all this up before he even had a chance to try it for real.
dread isn't something that touya feels often, if ever, but he feels it right now and he hates the way it's eating him.
when did he get like this? what the fuck did you do to him?
he's at your door before he realizes it, and it's way too soon because he doesn't even know what to say when you swing open the door and he meets your puffy, red-rimmed eyes. your cheeks are dry, but he can easily make out the tear tracks on them.
"i want to be your girlfriend—i want you to—" touya rushes out and when you quirk an eyebrow at him, he stammers and backtracks, and what the fuck have you done to him?
he's rushing because whatever this thing is that he's trying to save is pretty much extinguishing in front of him.
"i want to, we can date," touya takes a breath, pausing on his words, and you cross your arms over your chest, tilting your head to the side a bit. "ai'm sorry."
there's a pause and touya's looking at you, waiting for some sort of lifeline.
"for what?"
there you are.
"for bringing that other girl to the party, and for touching her, and letting her touch me," he's speaking too much now, but he couldn't shut up if you paid him.
finally, he grumbles out, "i wanna be your stupid fuckin' boyfriend."
the tension builds and the frown on your face deepens before you whisper, "you hurt my feelings."
a lifeline.
"i know, i'm sorry."
he's stepping in cautiously, and you're already wrapping your arms around him, fingers gripping him tightly.
"won't do that shit again," touya swears.
touya's never held something delicate in his hands and not turned it to ash.
and with you standing in front of him, still sniffling a little bit from the tears he made you cry...
he supposes he'll have to learn.
touya trying to do something toxic with me like he did with his ex girlfriends, but instead of making me crazy it just makes me cry
#touya x reader fluff#dabi x reader fluff#touya x reader#dabi x reader#a bit angsty but you know who i am#touya's my little boyfriend#he's actually not a pitbull he's a soaking wet little kitten in the rain#and he hisses and claws at everything#but he means well. he just wants to protect you.#touya touya touya#probably my number one self-ship#like that's my boyfriend forreal y'all#sorry i tamed him. we call him tt now

damn my coworker for giving me dabi brainrot. if you see this em, no you don’t.
gn!reader
no warnings
dabi sitting at the bar near you, despite doing his best to avoid all the other members of the league of villains. you ‘aren’t as stupid as shiggy and his henchmen’ to put it simply, or so he says. he sits quietly, never initiating conversation but not against it. though he mostly answers in short and sharp yes and no’s, with the occasional snarky remark. he prefers listening to you talk to others around, hearing about you that way is easier.
thinking about dabi pulling you out the line of fire by the scruff of your neck. barely pulling you away from earserheads capture weapon in time. always hurrying back into action wjth a snarled ‘watch out’. if you ask him why he saved you he’ll just reply with a shrug.
dabi eventually seeking you out during the day, looking for some ‘decent fuckin’ company’. instead of calling you your name he’ll start calling you nicknames. mostly doll or pretty girl. sometimes insulting ones, though he still spends his time with you. always looming near you during missions and around the bar.
you coming back from a recon mission all beat up because there were so many more heros than they thought would be there and they caught you on your way out. dabi insisting be patch up your wounds because ‘you wouldn’t do it right yourself’, not that he’d do a better job.
dabi brushing his fingers through your hair because toga broke your hairbrush and you couldn’t stand the feeling of knots in your hair. his rings getting caught every little while, the cool metal brushing against your scalp. him offering to braid it to keep it from knotting again. you hadn’t known how he knew but you let him anyway.
thinking about the fact that dabi would always offer you one of his cheap cigarettes. always pushing the pack down the bar to you or offering you a drag from his.
dabi laughing aloud when you insult heroes in your own creative way and when you walk around mumbling profanities as though they could here you. laughing even harder when you insult shigiraki or other villains.
and i’m thinking about touya wondering how you ended up as a villain. what made you so angry that you gave up your dream of being a hero to commit to a life of villainy. him asking you one night at the bar, not expecting your answer.
touya bickering with twice and toga like siblings, always having someone come and separate their stupid little arguments.
touya’s barking laughter when he throws his head back.
thinking about touya teasing shigiraki and bumping shoulders with him after.
just thinkin…

...I wonder how natsuo is going to react the most about the dabi reveal. I might be wrong, so again, this is completely my opinion, this is what I think.
endeavor is going to mentally and careerly (as expected) struggle with what to do with this reveal. since I began reading the manga last year, i’ve always known for endeavor to reach the finale of his atonement is for him to sacrifice his hero career and his life. despite touya not being dead, he was the one who killed him & his family, so his death is really the only way I can see endeavor getting him to that peak. and he was a man so obsessed with the need and desire to be the number one hero that in order for him to diverge from who he was, he needs to lose it.
rei is difficult for me to think of, in all honesty. most timelines i’ve read — i’ve never bothered to figure it out myself — touya dies right before she scalds shouto or right after. it’s finicky time slot and i’ve seen both sides arguments but can’t have a solid grasp. although, given the circumstances, I think he may have died pre shouto scar. with this, I think it’ll wreck her again because that’s her son, her baby boy, her oldest child, and yet... he’s become an image of what endeavor was. ruthless, brutal, murder of the innocent. she loves him but I don’t expect her to be a saint to him.
fuyumi just wants her family whole. but she’s also a teacher. i’m not sure where she’ll draw the line & maybe this can be the breaking point in her desire to create the perfect normal family and stops her from trying and hoping. her older brother just revealed himself to be a murder of the innocent, blaming it and exposing her father. normalcy never befitted the todoroki’s and I don’t think she can deny that they aren’t normal now.
shouto will most likely also feel conflicted. he holds no memories of his eldest brother, only that he played with their siblings while he was forced to train. he only knows of touya from natsuo, and even then, their relationship has barely formed. he knows touya as a photograph, one he has only recently began to study and know. it’ll bring back to light his motives and emotions, and while I have no doubt in my mind that shouto will remain a hero because it’s stupid to think he’d become a villain or gazed by the hero system because um... that’s who he was pre stain arc, I think it will push him to demand better, smarter regulation of HEROES because if society is trusting them with their wellbeing’s, they should be good people. shouto won’t falter much, but he’s not coming out of this with a clear mind.
however, it’s natsuo who i’m concerned with the most.
arguably, he’s the one that’s implied to have had the closest relationship with touya. they were close, brothers, and when touya died, it devastated natsuo.
we see that the biggest thing that natsuo continues to hold against endeavor is the fact that he killed touya. I don’t buy natsuo knowing touya was dabi this entire time, I don’t think natsuo could sit idly by and allow his brother to murder innocents even if he does love and wish to protect him. natsuo’s entire hatred for endeavor is solidified and cemented due to the fact that he believes his father murdered his brother.
but there’s his brother, laying waste to cities, admitting to killing innocents, laying their dirty laundry for the masses, and I wonder... I can’t help but think that maybe, just maybe natsuo’s resolve against endeavor will crack. clearly one of the biggest things he held against endeavor was the the death of touya, and now it’s proven that all he managed to do was run away. it’s not to say I expect natsuo to forgive him now! because I don’t! natsuo still is rightfully upset and angry over endeavors treatment towards his mother, shouto, and him & fuyumi.
natsuo was also showed to be shocked and didn’t wish to see his father be slaughtered on tv against high end nomu, I don’t expect him or any of the todoroki’s despite their grievances and anger and hurt toward endeavor to want to see touya kill enji. they’re all good, kind people. individuals who may never forgive endeavor but dont wish him harm or death.

Hair Dye Buddies: Chapter 3
Learning the basics with his new quirk took to him instantly as he used ways he'd used to watch their father train Shoto with his quirks. The snow felt so calm under his fingertips, the naturality of it far better than the fire that he was born with.
By the end of the class, several snowmen and snow angels had been made and he was very proud with his quick advancement. Everyone seemed happy with his quirk and it made him so eager to please them.
"Tomorrow's training will be more fighting with quirks. I need to get you all ready for the upcoming licensing exam." Aizawa told them on their walk back to class. "Yes, you will be included, Touya. I've spoken to Nezu and all you'll need to do is catch yourself up in your studies and your quirk training, which should be no problem given you take to things so easily. Though yours would be temporary." Aizawa told him.
"This doesn't mean you all will be hurrying to spar with each other tonight, I will put you in detention if you do. Touya, you're allowed to tinker around with your quirk under teacher supervision if you want since, even if you've taken hold of it quickly, it's still brand new to you." Aizawa told him.
Of course, Sir." He nodded, trailing with Shoto.
"So you're officially a UA student, Touya." He was giddy, he'd always wanted to attend UA but father forced him into a no-name school with barely any accountability for their students and had even listed him under their mother's maiden name to keep him away.
"How are Fuyumi and Natsuo?" Touya asked abruptly. Shoto looked bewildered at the sudden conversation shift. Then he realized it might be because Shoto was never allowed around them. He might not know their names, even.
"Sorry, I know you're not even that close to them, us three were so clumped together and you were so much later we never actually bonded together as siblings or anything and you were probably forced away once I was gone so you probably never even knew them." Touya sighed.
"Actually, we're pretty close now. I guess we all realized losing you meant we needed to stick together as much as possible. We even have a group chat without dad. We call it the Endeavor Hate Chat." Shoto smiled and Touya laughed.
"Oh, now you have to show me how much you bash the old man. How old's he now, 45, 46?"
"46. Just turned it like two months ago." Touya gave a chuckle.
"Wow, talk about the timing of that stupid deaging. It's the same time in the year too. I'm starting to think someone put a spell on me like Sleeping Beauty. Come back the same age five years later to torment my little brother." Touya teased.
"I'm not so little anymore. I'm a week older than you." Shoto teased back.
"Oh come on, it's not by much!" Touya exclaimed, getting the class to snicker at their petty argument of age.
"Anyway, how are Natsu and Yumi? You never answered." Touya reminded him.
"Well, Fuyumi's a kindergarten teacher's aid, she's got a secret girlfriend or two and a secret boyfriend too. That woman is pulling too many people at this point. I really have tried to get her to talk to a therapist about her mommy and daddy issues but it isn't really working as you can tell. Natsuo is in college still, becoming a nurse. He has a husband now, they eloped not this summer but the summer before. He's really happy. Both are doing okay. Yumi says she wants kids in the future still and I'm hoping Dad doesn't latch onto it and try to pick her a husband or something to keep 'good quirks' in the family."
Touya smiled knowing his now-older siblings were happy in life. It was all he'd hoped they'd get when he was younger, he couldn't believe they got their happy endings despite his lack of involvement.
"Me, though, I'm going to be a hero just to save people. Unlike his goals for me, I want to be a hero that's a good person as well as a good hero so he won't be giving me the title of Number One, he'll be handing his mantle to part of the next generation he didn't make, likely. And he has a rude awakening if he thinks he'll get his grandchildren to succeed him." Shoto smiled deviously.
"Why?" Touya asked.
"Because he doesn't know I'm gay yet and I won't be giving him biological grandchildren. I plan to adopt kids in need instead. The only children he'll have are Fuyumi's and yours." Shoto proudly stated.
"You say this like I'm not gay too. I'm not having kids." Touya cackled.
"Yumi's got a whole next family generation on her hands then. All the boys can now wipe their hands clean of the reproduction process." Shoto was trying hard not to laugh, so was Touya.
"I ain't never seen four straight siblings. Always three of 'em gotta be gay." Midoriya announced, bursting the whole class into laughter besides the grape-looking gremlin.
"Ew, gays!" The juice gremlin exclaimed, interrupting everyone's fun.
"Shut the fuck up, Mineta." Aizawa instructed the grape gremlin.
"Yes, sir." Mineta agreed.
"I'm glad you ended up bonding with them. I remember being so worried when you were born because the three of us had each other and you were five years younger than us. I was always worried you'd never bond with us."
"Well, you guys were triplets. It's a different bond, I guess." Shoto sighed. "I just know that they were devastated when they heard you disappeared. We all thought you'd run away because the old man never said anything about kicking you out. We thought you'd died on the streets. You have a tombstone in Mom's garden still." Shoto told him.
"They always did joke about burying me in the yard." Touya laughed.
"I'm so glad you get another chance at life. Once we're able to tell Natsuo and Fuyumi, they'll be overjoyed." Shoto butted his shoulder with his own.
"I hope they'll be happy." Touya smiled a bit.
The day was easy after that. He wasn't all that behind in his studies, even excelled a English. During a hero lesson, he got sent to Recovery Girl, who tried to figure out the quirk that caused this and how it worked.
They'd ultimately ended up that this was more than likely permanent now that things had changed from how his life had originally went, especially once he told her of Ryuu and the quirk change. Then she forcefully healed the cuts and burns on his hands and arms from Ryuu and sent him back to class for Math.
The school day was over before he knew it and he was following Bakugou back to the dorms and he went to his own room, it was still bare, just a bed and a desk and a television set up in the corner.
"Hey, Cotton Candy, we're going out, you wanna come?" Bakugou asked.
"I'd be in my school uniform. Aren't we not supposed to wear them when we're not on campus?" He asked.
"We're the same size, just take some clothes. Mina wants to go clothes shopping anyway." Bakugou told him.
"Okay, but I don't have any money." Touya reminded him.
"IcyHot already agreed to let you take your dad's credit card. We're buying you clothes whether you like it or not." Bakugou told him, shoving some clothes at him and he fumbled a second but held them while Bakugou closed his door. "Get dressed! We're leaving in like twenty minutes once Pikachu does his makeup."
Touya was grateful Bakugou had handed him black jeans with cuts on the knees and a baggy black sweater with a skull on it, the comfort of it was astronomical. He put back on the black boots he'd shown up to UA in last night and headed out to Mina in the men's hallway, wolf whistling at him and Sero laughing telling him he fit right in.
"Question, does anyone have a mask I can borrow? My immune system is pretty weak, I got a lot of the weaker genetics in the family so I get sick pretty easy."
"Yeah, man, Shoji has a ton of extra masks." Sero told him. Kirishima was already knocking on Shoji's door for him.
"Hey, man, can Touya borrow a mask, his immune system sucks and we're taking him out shopping."
"Sure, I have some smaller ones my sister sent me a while back that don't fit me." Shoji rummaged a moment and then handed Kirishima a few masks with Halloween themed patterns on them. "Have fun out in the world, Touya." Shoji reminded him.
"I will, thank you, Shoji!" Touya smiled brightly at him as he put on the black mask with the orange and yellow jack'o'lantern pattern.
Being handed Endeavor's credit card by Shoto and told to go wild at the mall was like a fever dream when he used to have to ask and beg for months for new things and then he was made to work himself to the bone for it.

Song: Kodaline - Brother
He has loved drugs, they numbed him and forget him the truth, pain for a long time. Only bad effect; his head was aching insanely and he also had to care with Shigaraki with that head. He looked at his phone, six hours had passed since he slept and Dabi's had to be a meeting two hours ago. At first, he thought to not go. He needn't have blabbered but when he read messages he gave up that. If he doesn't go, Shigaraki will be angrier. But he had to endure his creepy attitude. Also, he would have to look at the hand which addresses as his father. When he wanted Shigaraki could be terrible and Dabi loved his arms connected with hands.
He loved first five years in life, saw those memories gave him peace. But just that, five years. He hasn't seen old memories for a long time because of that he is surprised today. He wanted to remember his lovely mother; Watching tv with him and fondled his head. He threw away other memories to the background, he didn't need to them. He looked at the messages, except Shigaraki there was a message from a crazy girl. Although he found the girl's behavior silly, he couldn't say anything about her power. She had really useful quirk but although they met new she was sending messages to him about 'hang out together.' And that annoyed Dabi. But usually, everything would get on Dabi's nerves.
He had no problem about their personality as long as they didn't bother him. They could be as crazy as they wanted. Shigaraki Tomura, a madman who wore his family's hands on his face and body, was his boss, another was Twice, who acts an talks like a double person who couldn't recover from her trauma. The crazy girl Himiko Toga, on the other hand, was very fond of blood, the Spinner had nothing odd, but it was enough that is a lizard. He didn't know Compress that much but he and Kurogiri are among the most rational people in the group, he wouldn't deny that. They didn't seem like a very sane group, but to Dabi, whether their power was valuable was the only thing that mattered.
When he got to the bar he waited at its door for a minute or two. He took a deep breath and went in, he would need it. Shigaraki was waiting, leaning against the wall, his voice wasn't angry like it was in the messages. It was tired and boring. Himiko Toga was running around with a knife in his hand, Dabi wondered how long it would take him to stab one of the league members. Compress and Twice were sitting in the chair, drinking their drinks. Spinner was not around. Kurogiri, on the other hand, was as usual, ready for defense in case an incident broke out. Keeping them calm in a bar with a lot of villains was a real challenge, and Dabi and Shigaraki didn't help to this situation at all. After a few minutes of silence, Shigaraki was the first to speak, as always he was sarcastic.
"Do you know why the phone is used? For people can reach you. You're two hours late what is your excuse?"
Dabi shrugged his shoulders, his head ached too much to make fun of.
He responded with a reckless attitude.
"I fell asleep."
Shigaraki frowned but he kept silent. Apparently, he didn't have much energy either. The meeting must have continued a really long time, whereas he was pretty sure he was going to get a lot of death threats from Shigaraki right now. Shigaraki went upstairs without saying anything else. Kurogiri was defending Shigaraki as usual.
"Tomura's been sleepless for so long, he really wants this plan to work and I don't want a fight in my bar."
"What's that big plan you've decided on?"
Dabi's only wish now was to go back to bed just like Shigaraki, and he would exactly do that after learning the plans. He didn't want to listen to unnecessary things. Kurogiri had understood it easily, he sighed, Shigaraki and Dabi had some very similar habits. Of course, Dabi has always been more sarcastic than anyone else, nobody would be a patch on him on that matter.
"We learned that the 1 - A Hero class at UA would be training at summer camp, we're planning an attack, and Dabi your mission is very important at this point. You will lead the attack. Your mission is to bring Katsuki Bakugo and get him to join us."
Kurogiri gave him a picture of the child, the kid was standing angrily on a platform. He had a medal on his neck, Dabi now realized why the kid looked familiar. He was the winner of the sports festival, normally Dabi wouldn't care about the festival but he had watched as he was curious about his little brother Shoto. Shoto most likely didn't even remember Touya. Dabi wouldn't be surprised, that damn man would always separate him from everyone else. He couldn't stand his failures to be in his masterpieces way, it would be pretty normal for Shoto to not remember him, even if the two were so close. Shoto was six when he last saw his older brother, Touya.
Shoto was so strong, even when he was little it was obvious that he would become so strong in the future. Dabi admired Shoto for not using his fire, his left side. He was trying to teach that man a lesson by himself, Dabi appreciated his tenacity. But he started using his flames when he was fighting against a green-haired boy which made Dabi furious and suddenly lit the tv. He had to buy a new television. With that quirk of his, Dabi expected Shoto to be first, or so predicted. If the boy in the photo managed to defeat him, he had considerable power, which would explain why he got villains attention.
Also, the boy always seemed to be angry and angry at everyone, they even had to tie him up because he was causing a big problem. Even the boy's outfit was more like the villain than the hero, it was a disturbing move for heroes to silence him even though he won. Dabi was not surprised, he experienced firsthand how despicable heroes could be. Dabi's ultimate goal was to fulfill Stain's dream. He realized that Kurogiri was waiting for an answer from him, he put the picture back in place.
"It must have been difficult to learn this secret information, and the children would not be alone. How many professional heroes will there be? And who will be on the team?"
Out of the heroes, some of the children could have been a problem to them. They had to a plan carefully. The boy who were supposed to catch wasn't one to give up easily, he was going to force them and also they had to watch out two or three other students. After all, they were being trained for to be heroes of the future, it would be a wrong move to see them powerless. He didn't understand why they were in so much trouble just for a child, Dabi didn't have much hope that the child would join them and he didn't want to deal with an annoying brat. Toga was enough for him.
"Our research is saying Pussy Cats will be there. Eraser Head and Vlad King would definetly be there because they are teachers. Also Spinner, Muscular, Magne, Mustard, Moonfish, and a Nomu members of a Vanguard Action Squad. They will accompany to you. You're in charge of the team, and I believe you can handle the situation easily with your magnificent flames."
Dabi had not heard most of the names before. He would not care if they were captured, his mission was only to capture to child as a leader. If they were caught, it would show that they were incompetent and Dabi didn't need incompetents. He was intrigued by Nomu, it was valuable creature who pushed All Might hard but he was confused that he was going to lead the group, he was expecting Shigaraki to do it.
"I'm a leader, ha? Are you sure Shigaraki is happy with this situation?"
"Shigaraki won't be in that mission, so am I. But I'll be waiting to get you back here when your work will done."
Shigaraki's absence made him suspicious but he was happy, he didn't need him to be bossy. They had just an argument because Dabi didn't say his real name, he had too much headache to get into another one. He left the bar right after Kurogiri told them when they were going to attack, after leaving the bar his headache was lessened a little. After a long walk he returned to his apartment, immediately making his way to the bathroom. Some staples had to be replaced, he grimaced. He hated the process even though years had passed, fortunately there wasn't many staples to replace. After he is done with the process he cleaned up and went to bed. He hated being sober because he couldn't stand remembering his past all the time. Even after many years he couldn't forget what that man said to him.
You're worthless, Touya. You are not important.
He wasn't Touya anymore, he had rejected that name for the past eight years. Right now, he is Dabi. But Touya's past was still bothering him, he couldn't escape his past. No matter how hard he tried, those memories were always there. The drugs on his nightstand at the end of his bed were screaming at him. Dabi was an addict and he wouldn't deny it, he sighed. The following days would be busy with the mission, now was the time. Most likely the effects of the doses which he took today would last for days but Dabi was used to pain, Touya had learned the pain when he was five.
Touya was almost nine years old and he was still continuing to his training, but his father had a lot of work to do for Christmas, and he didn't come home very much these days. Natsuo's quirk had been revealed much earlier than expected, for their father now Natsuo had been declared an inadequate child. Natsuo had an ice quirk, just like Fuyumi and his mother, and Touya had begun to wish that nowadays.
He wasn't a person what his father's wanted, and he couldn't use his power long time. If he have had ice quirk, his father would have never dealt with his and he could have been with his siblings. He once remembered that he was happy to have the same quirk with his father, those memories seemed to stupid him now. Natsuo and Fuyumi looked just like their mother, Touya was very unhappy. Her turquoise eyes were no longer filled with joy as they used to be, they were hurt and sad. He hated the color of his hair. If he had looked like more like his mother, his quirk would have been like that. Fuyumi and Natsuo look like their mother. Touya look like their father, and he had taken his power.
Her mother was fading as the days passed, she lost her old shine. Since Touya's father started to get more tough in training, his mother was trying to block their father. His father was always angry with him and telling her to leave them alone but if she refused, his father would hit him. His mother couldn't take it any longer, she was leaving the room with crying. His father blaming their mother for the children's failure. When Touya wanted to give up in training, he always told him that he was weak like Rei. Touya wanted to yell at him and talked about their mother was how wonderful, strong, good but he just kept quiet. Maybe he was weak, like he said.
His mother had tried for him for months and now she had given up, she couldn't stop their father in any way. All she could do was care with Touya's injuries and that hurt her a lot. Since Endeavor wasn't home, Touya could do whatever he wanted all day, that was a luxury he wasn't used to. He clearly didn't know what would do, he had no idea what else to do as he had spent all his days with training. But then his mother came next to him and told him that his siblings were playing in the garden so he could join them. While his father was away, he liked his mother's behavior more, his mother was smiling like before and she was confident.
He couldn't believe Natsuo was three years old, he was huge. Touya was certainly aware that he didn't look like a nine-year-old, he looked like a six-year-old at most. He was weaker than before, as the doctor said his flames weren't good for his body. Although Natsuo was only three years old he was taller and larger than his, unlike Fuyumi and Touya, he had the body of their father. When he looked at Fuyumi a little more carefully, he realized that she was two or three inches taller than he was. It was unfair, Touya started sulking, he was the biggest but he looked like the smallest. His mother looked at him with laughing, like she knew what he was thinking.
Touya was very angry these days, often easily angry at everything, but then for a moment, he was acting as nothing had happened. Usually, his anger wasn't directed at her or his brothers, but Rei didn't understand why. Only sometimes she saw anger in Touya's eyes, that spark of anger was always there, even if he didn't reflect on them. Rei didn't like it, he was a kid, he shouldn't have had anger in his eyes. But sometimes Touya was so kind, Rei would have trouble believing that those angry eyes belonged to Touya.
Touya's feelings were becoming more deranged as the days pass. He was acting like a child when he was with his siblings and that was making Rei happy. She couldn't stop giggling when she saw Touya's jealousy and sulk on his face. Rei loved the winter, she loved the freshness and the breeze on her skin. Christmas was something she loved when she was little, but she loved it more than before because her husband wasn't in home and her children were so happy. Touya came down the stairs with timid steps. Touya was not close with Fuyumi for a long time and he hardly knew Natsuo. Fuyumi and Natsuo were playing ball together but they stopped when they saw Touya. Fuyumi was a very moving, cheerful girl. She immediately hugged Touya, or rather jumped on him.
"Hey Yumi, you're choking me."
"So you're our big brother, aren't you too skinny to be a big brother? Skinny brother, I like that."
Touya had seen Natsuo last year, and since then Natsuo had grown even bigger. Touya had begun to doubt that he was getting smaller and smaller. Natsuo went to Touya's next and hugged him and said to him he was really skinny, big brother. Then, he walked away from Touya and threw the ball at him with his foot. Touya was suddenly surprised as he tried to throw the ball he lost his balance and fell. Natsuo started to made fun of him over this incident. Touya also began laughing over the incident. Rei was watching these events happily from above.
Natsuo was curious about his brother's quirk, his mother told him he has a strong fire quirk. He wanted to see if they are strong enough as their father. He thought it would be better to show his quirk first and froze the ball. His sister suddenly yelled at him.
"Hey Natsu, that's not nice, you shouldn't freeze everything with your quirk. We can't change it to its former situation, thanks to you!"
Touya did not understand why he did these, may he had done it mistakenly. After all, Natsuo's quirk was just here for a few months. it was obvious that he was always freezing somethings from his words. Touya didn't want these moments to pass with controversy, he took the ball and let the fire blaze out on his hands. Fuyumi and Natsuo froze like a deer in the headlights, they both knew fire strength was strong but they would never think that the fire can be blue. The fire on Touya's hand was not strong enough but it was enough to melt some ice immediately. Both children reacted like "wow", it was fascinating to see the power of fire. Touya liked his siblings' reaction, they impressed to their big brother. All the kids stopped playing with the ball and started to freeze every corner of a freaking garden like Elsa from frozen. Touya kept returning everything back to normal without gave up and this game didn't stop until they got tired. He wasn't sure if he can have a good time with his siblings on future, Touya's wish never changed: his mother and his father be happy together, were spending time with his siblings all day... Shortly all his wish was a happy family but neither Touya nor Dabi wouldn't have this. That innocent, harmless, happy child's feelings just got destroyed and when he is eighteen, Dabi completely destroyed Touya. Touya was just a child that only saw on his dreams...

Hahaha I wrote a todoshin story. @bakushinsquad newest post. Yeah here's my crappy story.
Really, he knew that something like this was bound to happen. He had heard all about Endeavor’s shitty behavior towards his family from late nights with Shouto, the other curled up around him, tears still spilling down his face from a nightmare. He’s heard of all the times that Endeavor was too hard on Shouto or his brother, Touya, who had been considered dead for a while now. He had heard all about the quirk marriage, about what his mother had done to him, about where his mother was currently. He had heard about how Shouto’s sister, Fuyumi, was the only one who had a semi-decent relationship with their father. He had heard about Shouto’s brother, Natsuo, was the most aggressive towards their father, having outright arguments and being downright petty.
Shinsou knew it all, having gained Shouto’s trust after the many nights he comforted the dual-quirked boy after nightmares. Shouto had seemed to let it all out after hearing about one of Shinsou’s bad exploits with a father figure in his life. And for that, Shinsou would always have a sense of protectiveness over the kid.
Growing up, Shinsou was almost always the one protecting others. From bullies, teachers, foster parents, and even himself. It was second nature to him, something he didn’t even think twice about despite his usual think before you act attitude. When it came to saving others, he wouldn’t think twice about his own health, which had gotten him plenty of injuries and a decent number of scars.
Maybe it stemmed from trying to make up for all of the wrongs he had never done but everyone thought he’s done. Maybe it stemmed from his heroic desire, the longing in him to help people because no one deserves to go through what he’s going through, or has gone through. Or maybe it stemmed from something else, from his own stupid belief that maybe he deserved it. Deserved the pain that came from jumping in front of his little siblings when their foster father or mother raised their hands or moving them out of the way before a quirk hit.
He knew that ever since Shouto had confided in him that if Endeavor ever showed his face and intended to hurt Shouto, he would get in the way. Shouto didn’t deserve the pain from his father, no one did. And there was no way in hell, Shinsou was going to let Endeavor hurt him anymore.
And as expected, when it finally happened, he did jump in front of Shouto.
They had been working on hand-to-hand combat, Shouto paired against Uraraka, while Shinsou had been paired against Kaminari. It wasn’t a fair fight, but then again no one would’ve had a fair fight against him, other than maybe Ojiro, but they weren’t paired together after an incident. Shinsou had been taught to fight hand-to-hand since he was a kid, his criminal parents wanting him to know how to stand his ground, while the fights in the streets had wanted to underdog to win the fighting rings when he was 11. Shinsou had just wiped the floor with Kaminari again when the figure descended onto campus.
Shouto had gone stiff, arms falling to his side, and eyes watching his father land and start his walk towards Shouto. Aizawa hadn’t been paying attention, his back to the commotion, trying to deal with Bakugou and Midoriya who were arguing again. The rest of the class either continued fighting, glancing occasionally over, or stopped altogether.
Shinsou had helped Kaminari back up before starting his way over. He couldn’t tell what was being said between the duo, but he could tell that whatever Shouto was saying wasn’t pleasing his father. Endeavor was progressively getting angrier, his voice rising some, enough so that Shinsou could start to hear him, but blocked out the voice when he saw Endeavor start to raise his hand.
Logically, he knew that Endeavor wouldn’t hit Shouto in a public setting, especially not in front of heroes to come who had a decent amount of sway already, and another hero who was also respected. But that protective feeling consumed him and Shinsou using the capture device around his neck to swing closer, using a tree to swing around the rest of the way and land perfectly in front of Shouto.
Both Todoroki’s seemed surprised to see the hero student drop down between them, the conversation stopping. Shouto lifted a hand to rest on Shinsou’s shoulder, pushing some, “Hi-Shinsou, what are you doing?” He could hear Shouto’s own protective-instinct kicking in but ignored it as he stared directly into Endeavor’s eyes.
“Todoroki go get Aizawa. I’m going to have a talk with your father.” Shinsou held his ground, still holding the capture device at the ready.
Shinsou could hear Shouto begin to argue, but when he glanced behind him, his eyes soften and he gave a small smile, “Please.”
Reluctantly, Shouto let go of Shinsou’s shoulder, backing up before racing towards where Aizawa was holding Bakugou with the capture device, the blond acting feral again. Shinsou followed him with his eyes before turning back to the adult in front of him, finding a comfort in the fact that he was only a few inches shorter than the hero since his latest growth spurt.
Endeavor looked piss, and Shinsou wondered if there was steam coming out of his ears. Shinsou held his own ground as Endeavor lowered his arms to cross them over his chest. Just as Endeavor was about to speak, a word already leaving him, Shinsou cut him off.
“Don’t say anything. You’re going to listen to him, Mr. Number-One-Hero. You’re a shit person, father, and husband, forcing a woman to marry you to have kids that would be strong, then taking the childhood away from those kids. You isolated them from one another, trained them to exhaustion, traumatizing all of them. When your wife had a meltdown, you set her into a mental institution, because you know you couldn’t control her anymore and she hurt your masterpiece. But your masterpiece is a kid, was a kid when she hurt him. You never treated him like a kid. You only care about being famous, about being adored, about the money and title. He’s an emotionally screwed kid, estranged from reality and his siblings, because of you.
“You can’t afford a scandal, so you made sure that Shouto wouldn’t speak up about it. You got the cops to admit that Touya was assumed dead after just a day. You keep Natsuo silent, pulling the card of your connections of knowing the boss of his school. You are kind to Fuyumi, maybe because if Shouto does turn into your definition of a failure, you’re hoping you can turn her into a hero. Yeah, I know what her quirk is. You still try to control your kids, control Shouto and what he wants to do now.”
Shinsou channeled all he could remember from how his father acted when dealing with subordinates, the strength and firmness in his voice, the pure anger in his eyes. He was tired of Endeavor’s shit, and he knew that someone else needed to put Endeavor in his place alongside the siblings, someone who may not have hero connections, but had villain connections. He hated having the connections that he did have, but at times like this… he wouldn’t be afraid of pulling some of those strings and get Endeavor into more trouble.
“Here’s what’s going to happen, Endeavor. You’re going to keep your distance from your kids, you’re going to leave Fuyumi to her job, you’re going to stop holding Natsuo’s education as a hostage, and you’re going to let Shouto be who he wants to be. Or so help me, I’ll expose everything about you, Endeavor. I may just be a second-year hero in training, but I’m not afraid to lose everything I’ve worked for to get your ass thrown in jail. Leave, Endeavor. You’re unwelcome here.”
Endeavor looked beyond angry now, lifting a flaming hand out to Shinsou, as if to get him to shut up or get rid of his anger. “Who the hell do you think you are, speaking to me like that?”
Shinsou smirked, “I’m Shinsou Hitoshi, nice to meet you.”
Behind him, he could hear some laughter, meaning that they had a crowd watching him. He could sense Aizawa’s presence behind him, along with Shouto’s. Aizawa looked between the two, before facing Endeavor.
“He’s right, Endeavor. You’re not welcome here without valid reason to be. Take your leave. Now.” Aizawa’s voice was firm, quirk activated and the fire around Endeavor faded.
As expected, Endeavor opened his mouth to argue back but realizing that all the kids seemed to be against him, that Aizawa was prepared to fight him, that he had lost this battle. He stepped back, anger still clear in his eyes. He searched the ground for his son, finding him already standing next to the purple kid who had gone after him.
“This isn’t over, Shouto. You’ll realize you need me, that my quirk is the better.”
Shouto shook his head, “No, father. It’s over. I’m done with you.”
With that, Endeavor took his leave, scorch marks filling the ground as he flew off. Shinsou was still tense as the rest of the kids stood around. They were all making sure Shouto was okay, praising the other for telling him no, etc. Shinsou was still standing tall, staring at Endeavor’s retreating figure. Aizawa’s hand found its way to his shoulder, startling from his trance.
Aizawa gave him a soft smile, “I’m proud of you, Shinsou, for sticking it to Endeavor and for protecting your friend.”
Shinsou gave him a smile, turning back to where Shouto was being embraced by the Dekusquad. Shouto peered over Iida’s shoulder, their eyes connecting for a moment, but that was all it took for Shouto to mouth ‘thank you’ at him before Shinsou looked away.
The rest of class got canceled, with Aizawa sending the students back to the dorm so he could deal with Endeavor’s appearance. Shinsou had hung back to catch his breath, everything that had just happened setting in like it always did.
He had thought he was alone when he slumped against the tree, pulling his legs to his chest, and laying his head against them, eyes sliding close. But when a hand fell to his hair, he was proven wrong. The familiar warm hand kept him from tensing though, only leaning more into the hold as he lifted his head to look at his boyfriend.
Shouto was kneeling in front of Shinsou’s spot, a smile on his face. The younger boy looked more at ease than he ever had after a visit from his father, which made Shinsou immensely happy. Shinsou lowered his legs, sitting cross-legged as he waited for Shouto to do something. And something he did, as the minute Shouto removed his hand from Shinsou’s hair, he launched onto the taller, hugging him tightly.
Shinsou’s arms came around Shouto’s waist, hugging him back. They sat like that for a while, Shouto in his lap, arms around one another, enjoying the other’s presence, before Shouto pulled away.
Shinsou flinched when Shouto flicked his forehead, “That was really stupid, Hitoshi. Something could’ve happened. He could’ve hurt you. My father has a short temper sometimes, especially when people challenge him like that. Never do that again.” Then he surged forward and kissed Hitoshi softly, causing the other to chuckle. “Also thank you, that was very sweet of you to protect me like that even though you know damn well I can hold my own.”
Shinsou placed his forehead against Shouto’s, staring into the mix-matching eyes. “I’d take a hit for you, any day, Shouto. Plus, someone had to stand up to him. I was tired of him being a little prick. Someone needed to put him into his place.” There was a pause before Shinsou looked away. “I didn’t want you to get hurt by him again.”
Shouto pressed another kiss to his lips, earning a content hum from the other, before pulling away. “I would take a hit for you, as well, Hitoshi. You’re lucky I love you so much.”
Shinsou beamed at the declaration, holding him closer. “I love you, too, Shouto. And I meant when I said, if he bothers you or your family like that again, let me know. I’ll make his life a living hell.”
Laughter from the other filled the area as Shouto rearranged so the two could lean fully against the tree. Things weren’t okay, but they were getting better. It was more bearable with the other by their side. With interlaced hands, Shinsou knew that Shouto would be okay from now on, that the other was reassured that he wasn’t alone anymore in this fight against his father. Now he had some friends and a boyfriend to fight with him.

It will be a long and hard road but Natsuo intends to use the advantages granted to him through his father's work so that one day he can take the old bastard down himself.
A/N: Woooooo hey guys I'm doing NaNoWriMo for the first time!!
It's late here and I'm tired so I'm probably gonna keep this short. I'm a slow writer so I highly doubt I'm gonna be able to make the 50,000 words considering I only just hit 5,000 and I'm still on chapter two
this chap is just an opening so it's a bit short and a more introspective than anything but don't worry things will only escalate from here. I'll try not to take too long to update but if you'd like to motivate me to do this I have a Kofi here
“THERE IS NO WAY I’M GOING TO HELP A FAILURE LIKE YOU GO TO UA SO YOU CAN SULLY MY NAME AT MY ALMA MATER,” a voice booms through the house.
“FINE! I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP ANYWAY! I’LL GET IN ON MY OWN!” The other voice is less booming but still manages to hold just as much anger.
Natsuo Todoroki is 11 years old and his big bro Touya (who is 14) is yelling with their father again. When the shouting started Touya’s twin Fuyumi had simply sighed and moved to a different part of the house to be further away from them. This is starting to happen more and more often. But Natsuo thinks this time is different, they’re not just yelling at each other just to try and hurt the other, like they usually do, they’re actually yelling about something important. Which is why Natsuo did not follow his sister in her attempt at escape but instead moved closer to try and see what.
Touya had told Natsuo earlier that his class at school had started discussing where they want to go for high school and what they want to do in the future, Touya’s set on the idea that he wants to go to UA, where dad went, so he can prove to the old man that he’s not a failure. He also said that if he can become a really good hero, he might be able to get Natsuo and the others away from dad. It sounds a little unbelievable if he’s being honest, dad just seems too strong to ever really get away from but Natsuo wants to believe that if anyone can do it, Touya can. However, it sounds like negotiations with dad haven’t gone as well as Touya was hoping (although maybe he wasn’t hoping they’d go well at all, he has been picking more fights lately).
“ HA! AS IF A GOOD FOR NOTHING SUCH AS YOURSELF COULD ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING ON YOUR OWN!” Natsuo can’t help but cringe at that remark. He never really understands why they have to go out of their way to hurt each other so much.
“I’M GONNA MAKE YOU EAT THOSE WORDS OLD MAN, JUST YOU WAIT!” the sound of a door slamming, Touya must’ve stormed out.
Natsuo is eavesdropping from a storage cupboard that happens to be a little down the hall from his father’s office since it’s used for old paperwork and other useless items. He didn’t close the door but Touya seems to be so focused on his anger as he storms past that he doesn’t even notice Natsuo.
“Stupid old man, I can do it. I’m gonna take him down someday, one way or another.” Touya’s muttering to himself as goes by and Natsuo can’t help but be a little scared of the dark look on his face.
He waits until Touya’s gone- not wanting to bother him when he’s in such a foul mood- and he’s sure his father’s not leaving his office any time soon, before creeping out of the cupboard and closing the door behind him. Without the yelling, the house feels almost too quiet. It gives Natsuo the feeling that something bad could happen at any second but, on the other hand, it almost always feels that way these days. He’s not really sure how to describe it but since mum has left things have changed so much and so little. They’re forced to live their lives like normal since dad won’t acknowledge what happened but there’s this underlying tension that just won’t seem to go away no matter how normal they pretend to be.
He decides to make his way back to his room so he can think about what he overheard. On his way, he barely manages to keep from walking straight into a blast of rich blue flames that come roaring out of the training room. Touya must be letting out some heat- literally and figuratively- as his quirk gets harder to manage the angrier he is. He and the others aren’t allowed to train in the main dojo since that’s where dad and Shouto train but the other dojo is smaller so it’s harder for Touya to keep his flames contained in the room. Natsuo wants to check on his brother but he knows Touya would prefer being left alone to deal with his rage.
Checking that it’s safe to pass this time, Natsuo continues on the journey to his bedroom. Dad likes to keep him and his siblings, except for Shouto, separated from his hero business so their rooms are on the opposite side of the house from his office. It can be a pretty peaceful walk though so Natsuo allows his mind to wander. He can’t help but think about how scary his dad sounds when he’s angry. Would everyone still think he’s a great hero if they heard him like that? Probably, he thinks. Touya told him that dad can get away with almost anything as long as he has the title ‘hero’.
He’s nearly at his room when he decides to poke his head into Fuyumi and Touya’s shared room, “Fuyu, dad and Touya are done fighting.”
Fuyumi puts down the book she was reading and pulls out her headphones, “Where’s Touya now, Natsu?”
“He’s in the training room but I wouldn’t go see him right now, he’s pretty pissed off.”
“Angry. He’s pretty angry, Natsuo please,” Fuyumi sighs and shakes her head. “Alright, I’ll keep my distance. You’d best do the same and stay in your room for now.”
Natsuo nods in reply and leaves the room, closing the door behind him. It’s not fair that Touya’s allowed to say bad words but he always gets scolded by Fuyumi.
He finishes the journey to his room and promptly flops on his bed. Not much has happened- to him, at least- but he still feels completely drained of energy, like he’s walked across all of Japan instead of just crossing his house. Being at home seems to have that effect on him a lot these days. Between Touya and dad’s fighting, Fuyumi’s constant fussing and worrying, and Shouto’s entire demeanour since mum left, it’s all just so tiring. He’s glad he’s allowed to do sports and stuff away from home, unlike Shouto, he’s starting to think he’d suffocate if he had to stay here for too long.
Tucked away in the relative safety of his own room, Natsuo allows himself to properly reflect on Touya’s argument with their dad. Fuyumi doesn’t like it when they argue and has shown worry over Touya going to UA but Nasuo thinks Touya is already a hero. At least in Natsuo’s eyes, he is. The fact that Touya is brave enough to stand up to their dad- something that a lot of villains can’t do- at all. The fact that even though he’s been tossed aside like trash and called a failure so often it might as well be his name, he still has the drive to try and become a hero. These are the things that define Touya’s true potential and Natsuo’s sure they’ll be the stories Touya tells when he’s a pro hero for real.
____________
Natsuo Todoroki is 13 years old and his older brother Touya (who would be 16) is gone. When they got the news Touya’s twin Fuyumi had gone to their shared room and has been crying in there ever since. Natsuo, on the other hand, moves towards their father’s office, nothing about this feels right and he hopes his father will slip up and say something to give him a clue.
Touya did manage to get into UA without Endeavor’s help, just like he said he would, however, not wanting his reputation to be tied to Touya, Endeavor would only let him enrol under their mother’s maiden name. This obviously didn’t bother Touya at all and things were actually calm for a short time, while Touya was distracted with all the extra school work.
Of course, things didn’t stay that way for long. UA’s hero course is notorious for being incredibly difficult (it would have to be to get the results it does) and Touya’s classes were no different. He kept up with the work just fine and didn’t cause any trouble but the physical toll it was taking on him because of the issues with his quirk were mounting. Touya’s temper got worse over time and as it did the number of fights he would pick with dad grew. Despite everything Touya had accomplished getting into UA there father still refused to acknowledge him and refused to ease up on Shouto’s training.
Shouto’s ten now and Natsuo hasn’t seen him smile in years. It makes him feel sick to admit it but he finds Shouto’s blank, dead-eyed expression a bit disturbing… but he knows it’s not his little brother’s fault. He doesn’t hear him crying or screaming from the training room as much anymore but he’s not sure if that’s a good thing either.
Natsuo knows the way Shouto’s growing up was one of the things making Touya so angry all the time. His big brother hates to feel helpless. The situation just seemed to keep on escalating they all knew it had to come to a head at some point but this…
They never even considered this.
Natsuo had been at soccer training and Fuyumi had accompanied him on the trip so neither of them had been at the house at the time. Shouto would’ve been there but neither of them has had a chance to talk to him yet and they know from experience with mum that Shouto sometimes shut out memories he didn’t like. This means the only word they have to go off is their father.
According to Endeavor, Touya had come home from school in a huff and when the man had questioned his son about it Touya escalated the conversation to a fight. After a few minutes of this Touya had simply stomped away and left the house. Touya gave no indication that he wouldn’t be coming back. This is the story the police received the morning after he disappeared, it is also the same story Touya’s siblings received. While the police might not have thought anything to be unusual (they were talking to the number two hero after all), Natsuo saw the story for what it was. Well practised. Suspicious.
There’s no way Touya would just up and leave like that. Not without giving at least giving some indication to him and Fuyumi. He didn’t leave any notes or take any of his things. Fuyumi may be the one with common sense but even Touya wouldn’t just run away completely unprepared. None of Endeavor’s story made any sense to someone who actually knew Touya.
Natsuo sits in the same cupboard he used when he eavesdropped on Touya and his father’s arguing two years ago. He doesn’t hear anything useful from his father that could clue him in on what really happened to Touya. Although Endeavor did spend some time discussing details on the phone with the police about Touya’s disappearance, he quickly moved on and went back to focusing his attention on his work, even though he’d officially taken the day off for Touya’s sake.
As the facts all start to settle in Natsuo’s mind as reality, a feeling that had started as nothing more than a smouldering ember began to burn hotter inside him. He tallies up all the horrible things his father has done over the years and each one feeds the slowly growing inferno in his chest. Stoking the flames until he starts to understand how Touya must have always felt.
He has the sudden but childish thought that it’s just not fair! It’s not fair that mum’s locked away in hospital, It’s not fair that Touya spent most of his life wrapped in bandages trying to please father only to be tossed aside like garbage! It’s not fair that Fuyumi has been forced to grow up far too quickly and can’t even feel safe in her own home, it’s not fair that Shouto was taken away from them so young to be beaten and brutalised in the name of ‘heroism’!
Natsuo doesn’t know when it started but he suddenly realises that his face is wet with tears. It’s not fair that Touya’s just gone now…
Natsuo sniffs and wipes the tears from his face. No, he will not let Touya’s story end here. If a strong hero was what Endeavor wanted for a child then a hero was what he was going to get. If Touya can’t go to UA anymore then it’s up to Natsuo to carry on his dream. To prove to their father that it’s not the quirk that makes the man.
Natsuo looks ahead, face set in a determined stare. No matter what… he would become a hero.

Hello, I am back on my bullshit.
So, Shoto got into UA, despite Enji's vehement outrage and general Enji-ness. He's still in class 1A. With a boy who breaks his bones to prove his worth.
Said bone-breaking boy and his desperation reminds Shoto too much of Touya before he died. And thanks to Fuyumi's influence, Shoto's first reaction is concern. Unfortunately no well-meaning sibling can get rid of the social disaster bluntness of Shoto Todoroki. So instead of taking Izuku aside or approaching him normally in private like normal people would, Shoto warns Izuku to be careful on the day of Sports Festival, in front of everyone, with his absolutely glorious resting bitch face.
Obviously, everyone misinterprets it as a declaration of war.
Cannon shenanigans happen and Shoto eventually takes Izuku aside to talk after the second round.
Because all roads lead to DadMight, Shoto again makes that same (accurate) assumption. Tho this time his reasoning is that maybe All Might is an overly ambitious, neglectful father just like Shoto's own. And to explain how he understands, Shoto spills his whole family's dirty laundry on a boy he barely knows. (Somewhere out there, Fuyumi's Stupid Brother senses are tingling)
The whole argument thing happens a little different and I honestly haven't figured out that bit yet. I'll know when I know.
After that, Izuku vs Shoto match happens. Izuku still loses. Because even tho Shoto doesn't have his long range attacks ice attacks in this AU, but he has considerably more fighting experience than Izuku. And with his quirk, the opponent is pretty much fried if Shoto can get his hands or any body part on them. And for the plot to work the way I'd like it and to spit on Endeavor's face, I say Shoto wins. But Izuku and him bond over it, so win-win.
And I really wanna talk about this bit of this part. Endeavor.
He still thinks Shoto is being foolish and is embarrassing him (which Shoto absolutely is). But he also finds another thing in this sports festival.
Bakugou.
Bakugou has temper and firepower and the obvious burning desire to become number one. And Enji thinks that even if he can't have a heir with the 'perfect' quirk, he can still have a protégé with exceptional potential who shares his will. So he approaches Bakugou after the Sports Festival to offer him the internship and training.
Only, Bakugou is fresh off of the podium where he was bound and gagged, he thinks he won unfairly and is pissed about it, he found out about the whole Todofam drama AND I think Bakugou really has some standards. Bakugou says fuck no
And Endeavor gets nothing
If we are going to talk about our AUs regarding Endeavor...
I had one where all of the Todoroki kids had mutation quirks (absolutely nothing like their parents) besides Touya
Fuyumi? Some sort of mood elevation or relaxation quirk
Natsuo? Probably something to do with cells and healing? Or better yet, quirkless and fabulous.
Shoto? He still looks like he has a split of ice-fire. But he probably just... has internal thermal regulation or something inane like that.
Touya was the only one who had fire quirk, weak constitution and all. But boo hoo he's DEAD(supposedly). And none of the other Todoroki kids are the "masterpiece" Endeavor hoped for.
He can't have more either because Rei is in hospital (let's say the teapot incident happened a little earlier, before Shoto developed his qirk/Endeavor realized it really was just internal thermal regulation and not half hot-half cold) and he can't bring her back for more abuse.
I like to call it my Endewhore Gets Nothing AU. But it's not very well formed
Oh very fun au!
If the teakettle incident happened earlier... Perhaps it could happen to Touya? :0

The only thing worse than a hater (is a traitor)
All Traitors AU by @hey-hamlet
Word Count: 3183
You got this man, you got this. Kirishima psyched himself up, pacing back and forth in his dorm room. He’d typed out a text to Bakugou, panicked about it, retyped it, then gave up and sent what he’d had down originally. That was two minutes ago, and Kirishima has never regretted a text so much before. It was so simple, just a “can we talk in my room?”, nothing incriminating, nothing too bad. But Kirishima was still nervous, because this was it. This was who he told. Kirishima was the traitor.
Bakugou was nervous as soon as he got the text. He hadn’t done anything out of the ordinary, had he? There wasn’t anything he could think of, nothing that shitty hair would know about at least. But his mind still worried, turning him into a ball of nerves by the time he reached the other boy’s room. He knocked, once, then took a deep breath. “C-come in.” Bakugou resists the urge to swear at the stutter, and instead swings the door open. Shitty hair had been pacing, that much was obvious. He gives Bakugou a shaky smile, and motions for him to sit on the bed. Bakugou does, apprehension and nerves growing more and more. Because this was it. Someone knew his worst secret. He was the one and only traitor.
Kirishima takes a deep breath after Bakugou sits down, settling his nerves one last time. “Bakugou- I- okay. Don’t freak out, please, but I- I need to tell someone or I’ll lose my mind.” Bakugou looks nervous, but nods for him to continue, the boy unusually quiet. “It’s- it’s me. I’m- I’m the traitor. I couldn’t keep lying to you anymore.”
Kirishima expected a lot of things. He’d run through many of the scenarios in his head, ranging from explosive anger to Bakugou just straight up killing him.
He was not expecting Bakugou to blink twice, glare at him, then swear under his breath, before he barked out a laugh. “Uhh, what?” “Shitty hair, you aren’t the traitor. There’s only one of them, and I know it’s not you.” Bakugou stands up, stalking towards Kirishima. “No, seriously, I am. I’m the traitor.” “You can’t be the traitor dumbass, I just said.” Kirishima raises an eyebrow. “Why?” “Because I’m the traitor. The only traitor.”
“What? You can’t be the only traitor, I’m the only traitor! Sensei said it was just me!” Bakugou doesn’t care that they’re yelling, doesn’t care that anyone could hear them. “What the fuck? I’m the only one!” Kirishima glares at him, then smirks. “Okay, so say that we’re both traitors, man. If Sensei really said there was only one of us, someone is lying. But Sensei also does stuff because he thinks it’s funny, so maybe- “ “Maybe there is more than one.” Bakugou sits back down on the bed, runs his hands through his hair, and swears. “What the fuck.”
~
Midoriya knows certain things. He’s observant, has been since he was young, and has always had a knack for putting two and two together. He has detailed notes on all his classmates, most of the teachers at the school, and enough knowledge on the top fifty pro heroes to kill them all easily. Knowledge is power, and that means that Midoriya is arguably the most powerful person in Japan, besides maybe Sensei.
Being so observant has its drawbacks, of course. He notices everything, a hyper-aware tangled mess of emotions and actions and movements. He watches his classmates train and spar, watches their schedules and watches them break those schedules, figures out what their weaknesses are, who their weaknesses are. He writes his notebooks in code nowadays, fearful of the suspicion that would be cast on him if anyone ever found them and de-coded them. Everything happens in patterns, and he knows that he’s pushing his luck, and sooner or later, someone will figure out what he’s really scribbling down in his notebooks.
He doesn’t know what he’ll do then. He didn’t mean to, but he’s made actual friends. People he gives a shit about, people he doesn’t want to die. Because the truth is this. He’s the traitor. He’s the traitor, and if (when) they figure it out, it’s all over.
~
Todoroki may be his father’s greatest creation, but he is not his father. Endeavor is a hero, a brash, impulsive toddler with immense power and talent. Todoroki Shouto is a quiet, awkward child with little to no social skills and a bitterness for the hero system that let his piece of shit father climb to the top. He barely knows his sister and knows even less about his brother, his mother is in the hospital, and the only consistency in his life is his father, and more specifically, his father’s fire. He’s constantly covered in burns and bruises, battered and weary of the training he’s been doing for as long as he can remember.
His oldest brother, supposedly dead, is the one who recruits him. Endeavor wanted a son to overcome All Might, to become the Number 1 Hero.
“What would piss dear ol’ dad off more than turning traitor?”
His brother Touya is long dead, but Dabi is alive. The only one who ever tried to protect him, other than his mother, is alive. It’s an easy choice.
Todoroki Shouto is the traitor. He’s never felt so free in his life.
~
Tell a kid he has a dangerous Quirk for long enough, and he’ll start to believe it. Tell him that he can be a hero after he starts to train, after he becomes well known, and he won’t believe you. Years will pass, he’ll be a pro hero, but only truly in name. Bursting eardrums and shouting people off buildings isn’t enough. Yamada Hizashi can level them, could destroy a city block if he wanted to. It’s not just sheer Quirk power either. He’s well trained, he’s charismatic, he’s smart.
Aizawa didn’t take much convincing to join his side, either. Eraserhead was underground for a reason, seeing the faults in the publicized heroes and the ranking system, how supposedly weak Quirks get thrown out in favor of power. But heroes, public or underground, are bound by law. Regulations and rules dictate what they can and cannot do, who they can and cannot save. It’s a frustrating system, born of money and greed. One hero can’t change it. A group of villains might. (Being married was just the cherry on top.)
In the end, it worked out for the best. They both got jobs at U.A. teaching, and that made them insiders.
Yamada Hizashi and Aizawa Shouta are traitors.
(Their son Shinsou isn’t far behind.)
~
“Are we any closer to finding the traitor?” The voice passes through the door, but they don’t think anyone is outside. “No. We can’t eliminate anyone, either. At this point, all of us are suspects.” Papers are moved, the soft tapping of a hard surface to straighten them echoes through the door. “Here’s a more important question: do you think it might be a student?” The room bursts into murmurs, voices blending together so much Hagakure can’t tell them apart. She pulls away from the door, ready to move. Her footsteps are muffled, and she’s completely invisible anyways. “As much as it pains me to admit it, we cannot throw out that possibility.” A sigh. The principal’s voice is easy to recognize. “All possibilities must be explored. Short of asking Detective Tsukauchi to question everyone, we can’t know for certain.” Hagakure can almost feel the tension in the room, even through the door. She creeps away, smiling to herself, and walks into the nearest bathroom. She bolts the door behind her, smiling to herself. She’s got a stash of clothing that she slips on quickly, and pulls out one of her phones from the stash. “They don’t suspect a thing.” The traitor’s identity is safe for another day. She unbolts the bathroom door, silently leaving without a trace.
~
“How many traitors do you think there are, man? If there’s two of us, maybe there’s even more!” “How the fuck would I know? I didn’t even think there was more than one!” Jiro unplugs her jack from the wall, grinning to herself. She’d had her suspicions, and she knew about Kaminari, but the fact that there were at least two more? Well, that made this even more interesting. Maybe it was no longer a question of who are the traitors, but a question of who aren’t the traitors. She walked away, headed toward Kaminari’s room. He’d be happy to hear the news.
“You’ll never guess what I heard in Kirishima’s room.” She doesn’t bother to knock, instead, she walks in without any other announcement. “Were he and Bakugou having sex? Because Bakugou has been over there a lot lately.” She rolls her eyes, and smacks him lightly with one of her jacks. “No. There’s at least two more traitors.” She watches with satisfaction as Kaminari’s eyes widen, and rolls off his bed to grab a notebook from underneath it. He thumbs the pages until he lands on the one they’ve both been looking over. Two more checks go next to their classmates’ names. “I caught Hagakure listening in on a staff meeting. I’m pretty sure she’s one too.” Jiro nods. Kaminari isn’t stupid. If he thinks she’s in on it, she probably is. Most of the class is in on it, from the looks of things. Too bad Sensei didn’t say how many there were, just that there was more than her and Kaminari. Oh well. They’re traitors for a reason.
~
Tsuyu isn’t sure how this happened, but she’s not about to argue. Her girlfriend is in her room, smiling at the trinkets she has laid out. Logically, she understands that Ochako is only in it for the money, really, even if she’s proven that she’s not completely shallow. The more interesting thing here is the fact that she managed to convince Tsuyu to join her, to be traitors together. They’re in high school, they aren’t running off to get married tomorrow, but somehow Ochako convinced her anyway. She was rational about it, well thought out arguments, and smart enough to figure out that Tsuyu would probably say yes either way. “Is this a picture of your family?” Ochako points towards a small framed photo of her siblings and her parents. “Yep. I made them take a nice one so I had a photo before we moved into the dorms.” Ochako coos, and walks away from the photo to flop down next to her, wrapping an arm around Tsuyu’s shoulders. Tsuyu lets her head fall onto her girlfriend’s shoulder, smiling. Rationally, she understands that this could only truly end in disaster. Someone is bound to figure them out, and she’s not sure what will happen then. But she’s happy right now, to let her worries be pushed from the front of her mind. They might be the traitors, but at least they’re happy.
~
Birds fly around the campus all the time. Students and staff alike pay them no mind, speaking when they think no one can hear them. Koda hears it all. He’s always been good with secrets.
~
Her fingers curl around the listening device, willing it to work this time. She puts the earpiece in, breaths in once, and turns the device on. She places it on her bed, stands, and claps once. It echoes in her ear, and she stops herself from cheering, instead smiling. The hard part is far from over, however. She has no idea how on earth she’s going to get it into the staff room, but she’s relatively sure she can get it on a teacher’s back, or maybe on someone’s papers. It’s clearly not something that belongs, but she’ll make it work.
Her chance comes during class, sliping the device between thick papers that she brings to sensei’s desk. She holds in her smile, fingers on the earpiece in her bag when she sits back down. When he leaves, she nearly makes a run for it towards the girl’s bathroom, only barely letting her friends know. She locks herself in a stall, and puts the earpiece in. It’s mostly papers being shuffled, but she hears someone pick it up, fingers brushing over the microphone inside the little thing. She almost swears, but instead, she hears a chuckle. “Smart, kid.” That’s Aizawa-sensei’s voice. “Might need a way to make it a little smaller, though, Yaoyorozu.” She expects him to crush it, to send out some kind of alert to the other teachers, to her classmates, but instead, the device gets shoved inside a desk, from what it sounds like. She can still hear everything.
She’s not the only traitor. She’s got an ally. Maybe Aizawa-sensei knows how to make a smaller device, for next time.
~
Sero doesn’t really care about the whole “hero’s are just in it for the money, blah, blah, blah” that he hears from some of the league members. He’s known this life for the entirety of his own, and he’s never minded it. Having friends is just a bonus, seeing as how he’s almost entirely sure that Mina is on his side. Even if it’s only so she can call herself Alien Queen. Sero doesn’t judge.
~
Shoji smiles to himself, retracting his ears and eyes. The U.A. staff won’t know what hit them.
Somewhere else, in the dorm building’s kitchen, Sato bribes his classmates with sweets for gossip, unaware of his intentions.
~
Midoryia frowns at his notebook. He’s got one that’s only for his classmates and teachers, written in code, with not only Quirk abilities, but personality, friendships, schedules, and, most importantly, weaknesses. This, he already knows. It doesn’t explain why Iida keeps running off after class, every Tuesday, like he has somewhere to be. Midoriya is well aware there’s another traitor. He’d be an idiot not to know, but he has no idea why Iida of all people would be one. It’s suspicious, to be sure, but he has no idea how to bring it up. Now that he thinks about it, Tokoyami has been acting odd as well, hanging out with Aoyama and Ojiro of all people. Their personalities don’t exactly mix, and they don’t seem to hang out other than on Wednesdays, walking together like they’ve known each other their entire lives. Midoryia knows that really, it’s none of his business. Midoryia also knows that he’s going to make it his business.
~
It’s official. Jiro has never been so confused in her life. All of their classmates are the traitors. All of them. Their acts don’t line up, their friend groups don’t line up, and she’s beginning to suspect that maybe even Aizawa is in on it. Kaminari pulls out the notebook once more, and checks off the last two students (Iida and Aoyama, of all people) as confirmed traitors. But it still doesn’t make much sense. Why would Sensei have all of them be traitors? All in the same class, they wouldn’t cover nearly as much ground as they might being more spread out across classes, and they can’t exactly go everywhere on campus as students. So why all of them? But it all lines up, and even if they’re still a little shaky on some of their classmates, Jiro is pretty sure they’re all on the same side. She’s going to get to the bottom of this, no matter what.
She calls them all down into the common room, knowing that Aizawa is out temporarily, and that Mic might not even care. She’s pretty sure the two of them are married, and Mic doesn’t seem the type to not know what his husband is doing after patrol.
“I have gathered you today because I’m either losing my mind, or we’re all idiots.” Her classmates looked to one another, exchanging looks and worried glances. “We know who the traitors are.” Kaminari smiles at Jiro, holding out the notebook. It’s open to a page that simply says, in bright, bold letters, “IT’S ALL OF US!!!!!!”
The room, appropriately, explodes.
“Wait, Sensei said-“ “I knew it wasn’t just us Mina! You owe me-“ “If it’s all of us, why wouldn’t Sensei break us further apart, seeing as how we’re all in the same class and have limited reach across the entire school, unless there are teachers in on it, which would make sense because Present Mic is still here, so it’s highly likely that Jiro knows that he’s on our side if she was willing to call us all together to make the announcement-“ Midoryia is mumbling himself into a nervous breakdown, only to be interrupted by Bakugou. “OI! QUIT FUCKIN’ MUTTERING, DEKU!” “KISS MY ASS, KACCHAN! But if he didn’t want us to know-“ Midoryia keeps going, as if he didn’t just swear at his childhood bully like it was nothing. “Wait, Deku, are you the person that the Nomu likes?” Ochako’s voice rings out above the confusion. “Huh? Oh yeah! He’s like a big, cuddly dog! I love him!” Midoryia claps his hands together, smiling wide. “Didn’t Shigaraki call that thing a demon?” “HE’S A GOOD BOY, DAMMIT!” “He only likes you, man!” Kirishima yells out, and before anyone can respond, Aizawa comes back.
“Is there a reason you’re all yelling?” He really doesn’t get paid enough to deal with this. There’s an open notebook lying on the table, with the words “IT'S ALL OF US!!!!!!” written on it. His class whispers amongst themselves, until Yaoyorozu speaks up. “Guys? It’s okay, he’s one too.” The entirety of class 1-A breathes a sigh of relief, and goes uncomfortably silent for a second. The problem child speaks up first. “We figured out who the traitors are!” Aizawa feels his eyes go a little wide. Midoryia’s smile grows, until it turns into one that’s all teeth, and Aizawa can tell he’s enjoying dragging this out. “It’s all of us! Including you and Mic-sensei!” Aizawa feels his heart rate go down, then go straight back up when he realizes what Midoryia actually said. “All of you?” The class nods. “Oh gods help me. Is that why you got into a slap fight with Kurogiri, Bakugou?” The explosive boy nods, smirking. “Mic! Come out, we have something to talk about!” Aizawa hears a crash, the sound of someone tripping, and out comes his husband. “Hey! What’s- Shouta. Why is everyone here?” Aizawa sighs, then motions to the class. “So it turns out everyone is a traitor. All of them.” “All of them?” Aizawa activates his Quirk on instinct, and Hizashi has the awareness to look sheepish. “Yes.” “Wait, which one is the one who the Nomu likes?” Midoryia’s hand shoots up, and he waves it around like crazy. “He’s a good boy!” “Is he?” Aizawa isn’t sure who says it, but the room explodes once more into conversation, and he puts his head in his hands. Hizashi puts his arms around his shoulders, holding him close. “I’m going to punch All for One in the face.” “You do that hun.”
