All: *keep silent*

Touma, whispering: "Azuma-san, Narasaka has been awfully quiet…"

Narasaka: "REALLY?!"

Touma: "Yeah, really!"

All: *burst into chaos again*

Azuma: "I broke it."

Azuma: "It slipped from my hands when I'm cleaning it."

The sniper training area at Headquarters was a bit too lively for Narasaka on a weekend morning, and he can feel his motivation waning as he shoves through other snipers clumped together. It was annoying having to wade through the other snipers, especially since it seemed most of them were onlookers of a certain pompadour-wearing sniper plastered on the big screen.

Touma was always someone who thrived off attention and when he would train with other snipers, he was always aware of the gawking fans around him, the exact opposite of Narasaka. He would make pictures with the bullet holes, most simple shapes like stars or near perfect squares, and this time it was no different. He plants a bullet against a b-ranks torso and a shrieking buzzer signaled the end of training.

After a couple minutes, Akane bounds up to him, a couple other snipers in tow. Her eyes a shining brighter than usual and Narasaka throws up an eyebrow.

“Did you see what Touma was making while practice was going on?” It seemed meaningless for Narasaka to even think about. He knew he was just doing it for the attention, but he was curious since Akane had seen what Touma could do. He lets Akane drag him over to the replays and pauses on every picture Touma made.

The first thing Touma made was his name, the characters written out between a few different sniping areas. The second picture was a single heart, and the third was a question mark. It seemed like the popularity was going to his head. He was even trying to make himself seem like a bad boy, but in reality he was kind of an airhead.

Just as they get done looking at the pictures, Touma walks over, a cat nestled in his hair. He winks at Narasaka and leans in to look at the images he made.

“You did this?” Narasaka asked, already knowing the answer. He nods.

“Yep, I wonder who I’m talking about?” Narasaka shrugs, not wanting to entertain him.

“I’m not sure I’m not a mind reader.” Touma pouts and wraps an arm around Narasaka’s neck.

“Oh, c’mon. Think about it.” Narasaka rolls his eyes.

“I really don’t want to…”

Touma huffs and takes out an Egret. He leads Narasaka over to a practice area, away from the eyes watching them. With the cat still on his head, Touma aims and fires towards the target. The bullets landed on the target with extreme precision, Touma sometimes firing multiple to form a line. At first it seemed like he was just shooting at random, but after a few shots, it started forming into characters.

Touma stopped for a moment to glance at him, his eyes searching Narasaka’s face for any emotion. When he didn’t see anything he shot to form a second character, and at that point Narasaka was starting to see why Touma was looking back at him.

“Touma.” He could see the pink flood up Touma cheeks and he chuckles, his fingers trying to rub the red away from his neck and ears. He fired the last couple shots, leaving it reading his name: Narasaka.

“I was hoping we could hang out sometime. Maybe go see a movie or something.” The cat jumps off Touma’s head as he spins on his heels to face Narasaka. He wasn’t making eye contact, clearly embarrassed by his display.

Narasaka simply smiles and leans forward to plant a kiss against his cheek. Touma smiles under the touch and the red floods his skin farther.

“I would love to.” He whispers, taking Touma’s hands within his own.

Any victory by any member of her team is something that brings pride and joy to her.

As far as Kitora's concerned, Tokieda-senpai is one of the best and kindest people out there, the kind who'd feed stray cats on the weekends and help old ladies cross the street. As such, he's not the kind of person who'd pick a fight with someone over a cat-shaped balloon.

"Hands off, Tokki," Touma-senpai says wit  a grin that shouts or else.

"Hmmm, I'm under the impression that you should let go considering how I got it first," Tokieda-senpai replies with a slight raise of his brow, tone flat but with a hint of finality.

Touma-senpai towers over Tokieda-senpai as he stands to his full height, trying to be as intimidating as possible against Tokieda-senpai who doesn't even blink. "Come again, Tokki?" Touma-senpai grins down at him, who raises his chin in turn.

"I said you should let go first."

"And why should I?"

Tokieda-senpai shrugs before tilting his head to the side. "You're making the vendor uneasy," he points out.

Kitora wonders if she should point out that none of them can see the vendor being uncomfortable what with the way they're just standing on the side in their cat suit. Part of Kitora wants Tokieda-senpai to just hand the balloon over so that they can go find the rest of their team and report back to HQ, after a successful demonstration as part of their PR work. Another part of her roots her on the spot, awaiting Tokieda-senpai's victory irregardless of how small the prize is- to her anyway. Any victory by any member of her team is something that brings pride and joy to her.

(Not to mention they're useful victories to recalled when reminding people that they are not just simply a PR squad.)

"I saw I first," Touma-senpai counters.

"Doesn't mean anything when I got to it first, I was already holding it by the time you sprinted here and tried to take it from me," Tokieda-senpai reminds him.

Kitora has to hold back a snort at the way Touma-senpai scowls at Tokieda-senpai.

"Tokki," Touma-senpai whines. "This is cruelty."

Tokieda-senpai shrugs. "You can't win them all."

Kitora smiles (inwardly grins) as Touma-senpai pouts but finally lets go of the balloon.

Tokieda-senpai nods at him before making his way back to Kitora.

She smiles at him. "Shall we go?"

Tokieda-senpai smiles back at her. "Let's."

Under the cat costume Kyousuke smiles when Touma turns away with a simple, 'till next time, and makes his way back to get more balloon animals before his shift is over.

12 Cast Members Ready for Fierce Battle in World Trigger Stage Play Main Visual

    The official website for "World Trigger the Stage," the forthcoming stage play adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara's sci-fi action manga, has posted a main visual featuring its 12 main cast members, including Keisuke Ueda (31 / Manami Sangaku in Yowamushi Pedal stage plays) as the protagonist Yuuma Kuga.

  The highly-anticipated stage play is scheduled to be performed at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball in Tokyo from November 19 to 28, 2021, then at Sankei Hall Breeze in Osaka from December 2 to 5. Norihito Nakayashiki, known for his writing works for the successful stage play series Hyper Projection Engeki Haikyu!! from 2015 to 2021, serves as the writer/director. Advance sales of the tickets for the Marvelous members begins today, August 4, then the general sales will follow from October 16.

“Indeed.” Kodera pushed his glasses up. “From a strategic point of view-”

Hanzaki groaned, elbowing him. “Now’s the time to practice, not talk.”

“Hey,” Natsume protested, “I wanna know. Maybe it’ll help me shoot better.”

“Then practice.” Touma turned her towards the target. “They’re designed for you to get better through practice.”

“Yup,” said Fuyushima, freezing. “Late… late night.”

“Morning, Kinuta-san,” said Touma, raising his groggy head from where he’d been asleep on the other side of the desk.

“Night, boy,” said Kinuta. He returned to fixing Fuyushima with a gimlet eye. “I hope that’s a legitimate, sanctioned project you’re working on there… since you’re not signed into any log nor have you submitted any project reports or requests in long time. Since you formed your team, in fact. And SINCE,” he growled, “we don’t have the time or the money or the trion to waste on idiotic personal projects or joke triggers with no gain, do we.”

“I could not agree more Sir,” said Fuyushima. “ Can’t seem to find the time for paperwork these days. It’s a- uh, tracking… bullet.”

“Oh?” said Kinuta.

“Yes, tracking… those… bullets.” said Fuyushima.

“Tracking what with those bullets,” said Kinuta, folding his arms.

“Human combatants,” said Touma promptly. “We thought that by firing those bullets, we could track a person… that is, a humanoid personage… neighbour…type…

“It’s connected with the,” he lowered his voice and theatrically looked around the completely empty lab, “away missions, sir.”

“Oh?” said Kinuta.

“Yes,” said Fuyushima. “Here and here, sir, we’re just... I’m just working out the details of a snipe with Touma here. You can see I’m working on making the beacon broadcast only available to our agents and operators.”

“Huh,” said Kinuta, stroking his chin. “Glad to see you haven’t lost your touch, Fuyushima! I look forward to seeing the finished prototype.”

“Yes sir,” said Fuyushima. “Still working hard.”

“Good, good,” said Kinuta. He clapped Fuyushima hard on the back and strode out, pleased.

“S’for the best,” said Touma. “We still hadn’t figured out how to get the alarm bug to stay on even when Risa’s not in uniform, let alone how we were going to get it on her stuff the first time.”

Fuyushima sighed heavily. “You’re not the one who has to make a whole new bullet out of a trion soldier.”

“Could be useful, anyway,” said Touma. “We could've put one on him.”
