#Midorikawa Shun

Hii!! I have a req for headcanon? It's about what the golden trio of border (izumi, yoneya, and midorikawa) just cause they're my fave Headcanon about what kind of chaos they'd do during their free time? I hope these are within your rules hehe ty!

*Emerges from dumpster* How long was I trapped in there? And how long has this ask been sitting in my inbox?? I'll blame the dumpster for how long its taken me to get to this...

So, obviously these three are not the smartest trio in Border, but they know that and decide to spread more kindness than almost anyone else in Border.

They also happen to be the biggest pranksters at Border, not that it's any surprise. They can convince almost anyone to get in on their pranks if they try hard enough.

One time they convinced Kazama to scare Suwa by using Chameleon and messing with him and the rest of the Mahjong buddies. Suwa ended up almost strangling the attacker, and in return the golden trio was subject to Kazama's torment for the next week.

When exam season starts they are desperate to find someone to tutor them last minute, usually being Kodera or Narasaka since they're the closest and the easiest to convince. Their grades lacking is partly due to them being Border agents, but also them just not paying attention in class.

Since Izumi and Yoneya are in the same class at school the pair are especially lacking since their antics are amplified whenever they're together. The others in their grade have tried to help, but once you get them talking about any videogame they like you won't see them think about anything else for the next hour.

Despite that Izumi does have potential to be a good student, and sometimes feigns being ignorant on something for attention (which the other two will call him out on).

Since Yoneya's operating room is always dominated by the snipers of the squad, and Izumi's operating room is Kunichika's domain, the trio are mostly seen relaxing in the Kusakabe operating room since Midorikawa's squadmates are more put together and not as stingy with guests.

They frequently have movie and game nights and invite as many people as they can without Kusakabe getting mad and kicking everyone out. Special guests to these nights include: Mr. Shinoda, Yuma, Yuba, Touma, and Karasuma who likes chatting with his old squad mate.

They would definitely tease each other about their crushes and even purposely embarrass them qin front of each other.

Guys I wanna read about Tamakoma making fun of Yuma and Chika for being short. And I wanna read about Yuma hanging out with Ko and Kage and them just having fun as besties. And I wanna read about Tamakoma all spending time together. I wanna read a fic where everyone goes up onto the roof to stargaze with Yuma until they fall asleep with blankets and sleeping bags and just keep him company through the night. I wanna read a fic where Yuma and Yotaro go fishing (and Hyuse gets to be there too because cmon). And I wanna read a fic where Yoneya finally gets that match! And I wanna read a fic just full of Jin being Yuma’s older brother. I wanna hear about all the happy things, I wanna know all the small little moments that are really the most treasured ones.

It does seem like younger Shinobu's look was Seiji's inspo for Kuromisa. She must've been that cool goth elder sister he got his interest in that style from. I don't imagine they were close, so it must've been more like getting into something because your sibling likes it and you copy them, rather than her actively engaging him in it. He must've looked up to her. Hope we get a flashback about their younger years.

One more thing I hope Midorikawa shows is what Shinobu's experience was growing up among people who could see youkai while she couldn't. Could she even be a narrative foil for Natsume and Natori, who grew up among people who couldn't see what they could?

I imagine that being an heiress she was at the very least treated well, if not loved. But what did she feel towards her clan members? Natori and Natsume were shunned, despised and considered crazy for their sight. In Shinobu's case, did she consider her clan crazy? Did she shun them? Is it "them vs me" in Natori and Natsume's case, and "me vs them" in Shinobu's?

Or was there perhaps some suspicion, if not dislike, towards her for being born a Matoba heir who couldn't see? Was it considered an omen of the Matoba's downfall?

Going back to style inspo, it mighty seems to me like Natori modeled his sparkly persona on Seiji's personality and adult Shinobu's style and partly outward personality, which is so funny. I'll never stop wondering what made him go from adopting Takuma as his role model to seeing his worstie's elder sister and going "this. this is the vibe i wanna give off".

little seiji must have thought shinobu hung the moon. based on the way he talks about her now, and the way he seems to have modeled kuromisa's appearance after her...like he needed to create an air of mystique that people would be drawn to and he immediately went well just dress up like nee-san. he worshipped her in that special younger sibling way. how did her resentment of him shape the person he's become? what did her leaving the clan do to him?

3 weeks later  

“Aw, Yuuma-senpai, one more ten-round!”

Yuuma danced back nimbly, skipping out of Midorikawa’s reach as the other teenager lunged haphazardly at him, grinning widely. They’d been goofing off playing with the Solo Rank Wars, killing time while Osamu was off discussing strategy and scheduling off-world rotations for Tamakoma Branch, but fairly soon they were both due in to watch the C-rank attackers practice. Chika was already off on the firing range, coaching new snipers carefully through their weapon choices and explaining the basics of long-distance shooting.

���Hm, but we’ve already had thirty matches, and it’s nineteen to eleven, fair and square,” he hummed. “I think this means you’re the one who has to do the talking this time, Midorikawa.”

The seventeen-year-old pouted at him irritably, puffing his cheeks out, and swiped for Yuuma’s arm again. He missed, crashed into the railing overlooking the common area below and then sank dramatically to the ground, giving up.

“But Chibi-senpai, I don’t wanna,” he whined. Yuuma puffed his cheeks out to match, feigning nonchalance.

“Oh, well that’s too bad,” he chirped, tucking his hands behind his head, gloves brushing against his white hair. “You still lost.”
