I’m so relieved, but at the same time, really excited I’ll be able to read Mitsuhide’s manga!!! I looked through the first chapter, and we are not missing a thing. It’s literally following the prologue exactly as we saw it in the game.

I didn’t mention this yesterday, but just a reminder: Mitsuhide’s manga is online only! There is no physical copy! Maybe Cybird will sell the volumes at a later date, but for now, the manga will be hosted on e-book sites and devices. With the exception of LINE Manga, one chapter will be uploaded on the third Wednesday of every month.

Aside from my IkeSen merch, I also received these. They are stamp seals, and you can usually get these at castles or temples. But, these are mainly from Gifu, Japan.

The first one is from Kirin ga Kuru’s taiga drama museum. I took a little virtual tour, and aside from everything related to the drama, there are also some of Mitsuhide Akechi’s personal belongings on display, too. According to the seller, this seal was to be distributed during an event in April which was cancelled due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, it came a bit bent, and what looks like scratches. It’s not pristine, but still in good condition.

The second seal is from Kinkazan Gifu-jō printed in gold foil, and stamped with the family crests of the Oda (Nobunaga), Saito (Dōsan), and Akechi (Mitsuhide) handmade on Mino washi paper. This one is in much better condition, and as promised by the seller, came with its own sleeve which I believe has Nobunaga’s signature on it. I can’t remember where I first saw it. I’m going to have to do some digging on it.

While going to Japan seems pretty impossible right now, bringing a bit of history home makes me happy like a little kid. Ultimately, Nobunaga and Mitsuhide are my Sengoku crushes, and I plan to make a little display. Don’t know how cute and cool it will look, but I want to also display my historical love for these two men in any way I can. I started with Mitsuhide since I was digging in the Kirin ga Kiru tag, but I also want to aquire some Nobunaga or Oda stuff, too. I’m also waiting on one more thing:

I came from the post office helping my mom ship a package to Mexico ‘cause her sisters kids need clothes. I forewarned my mom it was going to be over $100 in just postage. I was close. It ended up being $90.75. While I was there, I learned some things.

Reasons why I do not offer international shipping:

It’s expensive to ship out of the US. A small box cost my mom $90 to Mexico.

As of March 1st, all shipments going out will incur a customs tax. Tax will be paid by the receiver (as in, you).

Priority mail does not include tracking or shipping. My promise of tracking and insurance included will not apply to international orders. As the teller told me, once the package leaves the US, it’s out there.

It’s not that I want to make my sale posts exclusive to the US. I wish I could ship internationally. But, as y’all can see, it’s very expensive and frustrating.

Now that Stand My Heroes finished, I took a look back at my list. I only watched ten new animes in all of 2019.😂 I tend to go for lesser known titles. I don’t like watching the popular animes, either. Yeah, I’ll watch Dragon Ball Super and Naruto (in this case, Boruto), but that’s as far as I will go with popular anime. I know Fruits Basket was a reboot, and I was iffy about it. I didn’t quite like the original version, and there are better shoujo animes in my opinion. But, it carried itself out much better than the original version.

Of course, my top pick for this year still has to go to Dororo. That was one hell of a reboot. The story was engaging, the art was amazing, it was raw, gritty, surreal, angst inducing, heart warming, and beautiful anime. Please, watch Dororo if you haven’t already.

Mini merch update! I think I was supposed to have gotten this package in yesterday, but I guess it was delayed because of the holiday. Even so, the mailman was late today, too. I was starting to get kind of worried. I’m glad everything arrived safely.

Well, even if I don’t get Mitsuhide’s valentine cg in the game, at least I have a physical copy of it now. Less expensive, too.😆 I’m definitely excited to add to his Kyoto merch. Perhaps, one day, I’ll be able to get the shikishi, too.

Completely forgot to do the merch update yesterday. I bought the calendar piece just for the artwork alone.😆 It’s only half of what I assembled during March. I’m still missing two Nobunaga orders and a file folder. I also shipped another EMS package. But, with the slow postal service, who knows when I’ll get them.

I also wanted to show how carefully packaged these items were. The rubber strap and badges were in bubble wrap, but both cards and the art board were taped down to cardboard pieces.

I still can’t wrap my mind around what happened yesterday. I had to throw the picture in the trash. Nothing was undoing that damage. And because I am so trusting of sellers now, I chose not to protect myself as a buyer. As it is, I recognize the usual people posting their items, and can now vouch for them. Which is why I never get the insurance. However, because this was a Mercari experience, I think I’m going to have to start taking precautions before verifying the sellers I come across on there.

Mitsuhide’s route came to mind the moment I read this. Since I’m tagging this, I don’t want to give away any spoilers. Still, Mitsuhide’s “duty” is very interesting, to say the least. Truly, I have enjoyed Mitsuhide a lot more in Sasuke’s route than in any of the previous routes.

I thought to myself, “I should check out Fukuchiyama city’s website.” Because, the IkeSen team had shared something in relation to the 2020 Mitsuhide Akechi taiga drama a few days ago. Omg, I came across a treasure trove of information! I already know some of it, but there are things I’m also learning about for the first time, too. Like, this map depicting Mitsuhide’s battles across Tamba.

Please, tell me all about it! I also learned that Mitsuhide was enshrined with the God of Industry?? I always knew people prayed to Mitsuhide to appease his spirit and in hopes that he has a peaceful afterlife. Getting murdered by some farmer is not the best way to go from this world especially when he had just succeded in the greatest coup in all of Sengoku Jidai. Japan was his but no one really sided with him. So, it’s no surprise Hideyoshi obliterated Mitsuhide and his entire army. Anyways, I suppose if you need to pray to Lord Mitsuhide for good politics and industry, you can. Because he certainly established good politics, land exemption, and infrastructure for Fukuchiyama in the three years he was established there. He is a hero.
