First New Post!

Hi there! My name's Edd, welcome to my blog! I live with my friends Matt, Tom, Tord, and Dan (and our friend CL who lives next door, but she sleeps here often enough to say she lives here), and I thought it'd be cool to open a blog to post to and talk to people!

I guess the last part means you can ask questions if you want, the inbox is open! I might could pass on a few questions to my friends, but don't forget the name of the blog is ask-edd, so don't get too obsessed with them, ha ha

(Hello and welcome to the ask-edd reboot! The new format is still mostly the same, you ask questions, I answer them with the sprites, but there's some differences

For starters, you can't just ask anyone anymore, this is ask-edd, you're gonna be asking Edd. Buuuut because I know the rest of the characters are still popular, so they're still somewhat askable. Edd can hand off his phone for someone else to respond, but that only works if he can physically hand them his phone, like he can hand it off to Tom any time when he's at home, but if you wanna ask Bing, he'd have to be at Bing's place or to ask Hellu he'd have to be at his house, etc

I also plan on sprinkling in original posts/art from time to time, along with bringing back events with special characters; plus Edd's gonna travel a bit more so other people are askable sometimes (though most likely just on weekends unless it's some kind of holiday)

This is also a new AU, meaning events happened differently than they did in the original run of ask-edd. Backstories, relationships, events, everything from before the reboot is officially noncanon to this current run. Granted a few things are similar, like the lads are still spliced and such, but how or why some things happened are different

And for the most exciting part (to me anyway): I made a new server! This one's more compact and succinct with easier to navigate channels and a map for the general channels just to be safe. There's roles for if you wanna get pinged for updates and things going on in VC like drawing, games, or movies, plus I plan on hosting polls there, both for fun and to decide on things on the blog, along with having a lore channel so if you forget anything backstory-wise, you can ask about it there. I also plan on adding fake currency in the future that you can earn in a myriad of ways to spend on things like askbox priority, special magic anons, and maybe even the option to answer an ask yourself! The link will be in the replies since tumblr likes to kill posts with links

All this to say I hope y'all have fun getting to know this new version of Edd and his friends <3 )

just search up "lace dividers" or "lace graphics" on Tumblr :3 I can send you some of the ones I useddd.. you can also search rentry graphics for extra decorations

for the images I just used some of his fnf sprites and screenshotted an image from an eddisode

to import gifs you gotta open the gif in a new canvas and right click the folder with the gif frames and press "duplicate to" and then press the canvas you want the gif on. to move all of the frames together make sure you have your controls set to "folder" and not "layer" (this mistake made me mad 😭)

Game Update: 07/15/2024

Hi guys! Hope everyone is doing well.

Before I get into the actual updates, a little bit of backstory on how this project initially came to be:

I'm in school for Game Design and Development, and one of my projects for a class was to come up with a game and have a playable version by the end of the semester.

This project is due in about four days.

However, I'm nowhere NEAR having the full game complete yet - which is why I plan on finishing the demo in four days and figuring out how to release it on itch.io for you all to enjoy!

This means that, yes, Day One of the game should be playable no later than July 19th, 2024! I plan to have my fiance (or anyone else who is interested, you can contact me via Tumblr DMs) playtest the game to make sure there's no major bugs or anything before I submit it to my professor.

Now, onto the updates:

Finished scripting/coding for a good portion of Tom's route, including a premature Bad Ending/Game Over screen. Still need to add in sprites and music, but that will come soon.

Started work on a Dual Encounter for Matt and Tom; not much there but will be working on it a bit more since it is part of Day One/the demo.

Started planning for Tord's second (and final) encounter in Day One/the demo.

I do ask that you all please be patient with me, as I am having to take on a full-time job and stay in school in order to keep myself afloat.

Hello hellhole alter personal hell

Edd: cola machine that produces everything but cola. Examples are pepsi (and its many varents), Sprite, Fanta and Mountain Dew hell, even different cola varieties but the original.

Matt: a room of fun house mirrors making him look not that good looking or all his endless pictures of himself are bad pictures of him/ Tord and Tom maybe Edd vandalizing them with no way to recover them.

Tom: Christmas that never ends (everyone's nightmare) or groundhog day situation where only Tom notices it's a loop like let's say Edd wakes him up Christmas morning, breakfast which Tord or Matt burns something (Tom tries to pervent every time with no avail) , presents, play outside where Tom gets hit in the face by a snowball fromTord (he tries to change the outcome but it never works), they all get hot chocolate, Christmas music, lights, loop makes Tom scream and slam the door in horror/agony due to the fact he's living the day over and over.

Tord's doesn't change or he gets trapped in a sunshine lollipop world.

This is just my opinion that makes sense compared to the personal hells the episode had (except Tord's) because it makes sense to me this isn't me insulting Edd or the original episode because I like the episode but

My Underdeveloped Eddsworld AUs

Like most people on Tumblr, I made my own Eddsworld aus. However, most of them were pretty underdeveloped. I’m gonna share them anyways lol.

The Tordverse

This was my first. It’s basically spiderverse but with Tord only. It was very random and pretty old, as you can see.

I made three variations of Tord for it. And that’s about it.

Neoworld

My second AU, this time based on the FnF Neo mod. It had a lot more thought out into it than the rest of them.

Edd can summon rollerblades and messes in Fl Studio. Matt can create clones of himself. Tom has his monster form, except he got it from running into Neo Lemon Demon, and Tord leads a gang for control over the city.

I just created the sprites for them, that’s it.
