let's say, hypothetically I get into quilting. I know that someone can handsew the topquilt (patterned part) because I see all about the hexies you and others do. But, if someone (I) were to have (for now?) the hands for prolonged fine motor work like that, is it possible/how hard is it to handsew the quilt layers together? Surely people must have done it all by hand at some point, right? I'm guessing you know less about it than other quilt stages but do you know any resources for that stage of the process?
Yes, hand quilting is totally a thing that lots of people do! I’ve hand-quilted two quilts myself.
You will probably want either a quilting hoop, which is like an extra-large, extra-sturdy embroidery hoop, a snap-together PVC frame. those come in either handheld size for ~$20 or floor size for ~$80. I lucked into a Craigslist floor frame for $20 a while back, and for a bigger quilt it’s definitely helpful.
A lot of people (myself included) prefer to do ‘big stitch’ hand quilting with perle cotton, as it is both faster and less fiddly.
You can also do tied quilts but I personally do not like that as much for purely aesthetic reasons.

Learn The True Art Of Enjoying Travel With These Tips
Everyone loves to go on vacation, but it can be a very stressful time. Very often, by the time your vacation is over you need another vacation to recover from it! The following article has a few of the best tips and tricks for making your travel as fun and stress-free as possible.
Don't bring a lot of valuables on any trip. The more items you have with you, the chance will be higher than you will leave one behind, or an item gets stolen.
Many out-of-the-way destinations are often overlooked for vacations. For example, while St. Thomas in the Caribbean is incredibly popular, with very little extra effort one can make a trip to Vieques off of Puerto Rico instead. It has many of the same amenities, is much less crowded, and will make your vacation seem much more special!
Use plenty of plastic when packing. Putting your clothes, toiletries, and other items in clear plastic bags is always a smart way to pack when traveling. Not only does it help you organize, it also keeps your possessions safe. If the bag should be exposed to the elements on the tarmac, the contents of your bag will stay dry.
When traveling, don't forget that you can travel by bus to many areas in North and South America. It can be much less expensive than flying and is generally lower-stress for travelers. Traveling by bus has lost much of its stigma in recent years, with many companies purchasing new vehicles and even hiring security guards to ride along.
When selecting luggage, pay attention to the ease of carrying it over long distances. A rugged metal rolling suitcase is usually ideal. Some rolling bags even have straps that allow them to be worn as a backpack through areas where you can't roll them. You and your luggage will be walking longer distances than you think.
Buy a kit of toiletries and set them aside exclusively for travel. If you travel often, packing all your toiletries can be a pain. It is not at all difficult to forget something as simple as a toothbrush or a stick of deodorant. Save time by purchasing a set of these things that you keep on hand, just for taking with you on trips.
When thinking of the items you are going to take with you on your trip, think about what the weather will be like. You can check how the weather has been in the region for the past week and also look at the forecast. Just make sure you take precautions if necessary, so you won't be caught off guard if the weather decides to change.
When traveling with children by plane, try to book a direct flight if at all possible. Even if you have to pay a little more, it will be worth it when you arrive at your destination with happy children. Non-direct flights often result in increased stress for all due to long layovers and changes in flight schedules.
Save money on your local travel when you arrive at your destination. By doing a bit of research into the various means of public transportation, you can avoid costly ground transportation such as taxis. Taking the bus, for instance, can not only be cost-effective but also more enjoyable than chasing down cabs and paying those fees.
If you're planning on making hotel stays, travel candles are something you'll want to bring with you. These can improve the smell of an impersonal hotel room. Not only is it romantic, but it will also relax you and help you to fall asleep. These candles are dripless and are available in travel sizes.
Taking your credit cards with you on a trip is a great way to have access to any money you may need. In addition, they will help to provide a list of your expenses and generally offer good exchange rates. However, before you leave for your trip, you should notify the credit card provider about your trip, this is so they won't block any transactions from the new location.
When renting a car for a trip, try renting one from a location away from the airport. Many times the car rentals at an airline include items like taxes and additional fees that can really jack up their prices. Usually, the off-airport car rentals will send a shuttle to pick you up, which may be faster and more convenient.
Invest in a good pair of earplugs. It is often difficult to sleep in unfamiliar surroundings, away from the comforts of your own bed. Add to this unfamiliar noise and you could spend your vacation in a sleep-deprived state. Earplugs help you block out noises that might keep you up or can help you concentrate when in a noisy location such as an airplane or busy terminal.
These are only a few of the tricks out there to help make your vacation hassle-free. If you find that you could use some more, the internet is full of helpful suggestions that can help you out. But hopefully, at least a few of the tips provided here, have helped you out.

Everything You Have To Know About Camping
Camping can be a great way to get out and enjoy the outdoors. It can also be an experience that you would give anything to forget. If you properly plan for your trip, it will turn out great. Use the following tips to prepare for your next camping trip to make it one you want to remember.
If you are going on a camping adventure, make sure you have enough time to set up camp before dark. It can be extremely difficult to set up camp in the dark and possibly unsafe. You need to be able to scout the terrain, prepare to bed, and possibly build some temporary shelter prior to the sun going down.
If you are going camping with your pets or children, you need to take a few extra precautions. Try to teach your kids the basics of camping safety. They need to know what to do if they get lost and should each have a small survival kit. Make sure you have leashes for any pets and make sure they are current with all vaccinations.
Ask a park ranger or a tour guide to let you know about all the places to check out while you are camping. This is a good idea so that you know you are getting the most out of your camping experience, you don't want to take a camping trip and miss out on a fun experience.
Consider having a "jungle breakfast" if you are on a camping trip with children. Tie juice boxes, tiny boxes of cereal, and fruit to trees in the woods. When your kids get up, have them hunt down their breakfast. This is a fun way to bring excitement to the morning.
Look up grocery stores near your campsite. Make sure you know how to get to them. Particularly, if your trip is spanning more than three or four days, the food you bring with you probably isn't going to last the length of your trip. Not only, that, but your family is going to get tired of eating the same things day after day. Variety is the key.
When camping, periodically do a tick check. Look for any brown or black spots that have just appeared on your skin. Ticks attach themselves to the skin without causing too much of a disturbance, so be sure to check yourself and your companions for ticks after spending time camping outdoors.
Take the time to get a map and to get to know the land. This will help prevent you from getting lost, and to help you figure out how to navigate around your camping grounds throughout your entire trip. This is a good idea to help save time and worry for you.
The whole point behind camping is to be one with nature, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be prepared for it. You should take sleeping bags and extra blankets. This will help you to stay warm, comfortable and safe during a cold or wet night.
Be sure to check your first-aid kit before you leave for your trip. You need to be sure it has all the basic necessities. Make sure it includes items like bandages, tweezers, disinfectant, ointment, etc. You never know when something may injure you or another person on your trip, so it's best to be prepared.
Do not take anything that belongs in nature with you when you leave. Have fun and take pictures, but when you are loading up the car, make sure rocks, pinecones and other objects remain where they are. This is one of the unspoken rules of camping. Everyone should have the same opportunity to enjoy these things.
If you're bringing your dog along for the camping trip, make sure it's wearing its tags. Losing track of a pet can be heartbreaking. Make sure your dog is wearing its dog license and an ID with contact information before you leave on your trip. Neglecting to do so can have tragic consequences.
Believe it or not, an orange's peel may keep mosquitoes from biting you during your next camping excursion. Don't worry if you forget the bug spray. Instead, just rub the white part of an orange rind over your skin. This should give you the protection that you need while out in the wilderness.
If you don't like to drink water, you will be in real trouble on a long camping trip. Water is essential to staying hydrated, so if you really hate the taste, purchase some one-use lemonade and add it to bottles of water. This will keep you hydrated throughout your adventure.
Now that you have a good idea about how to plan for your camping trip, you can start planning and packing. Explore the wonders that nature has provided you to enjoy. Keep your camera ready! You are going to want to capture as many memories as possible on your next camping excursion.

INFERNO COCOON HAMMOCK
Inferno Cocoon Hammock aims to give you the option of stretching out in your hammock even when you?re down to seriously cold temperatures. The guys at Sierra Madre used a special and effective nylon lining that acts as a thermal shield and enhances inside warmth. It consists of a TopQuilt and UnderQuilt that allow for heat to flow evenly while keeping the down insulation in place. It is also covered with a RDS 800 water repellant so rain and snow can?t get to you either. The inside also includes a specially sealed foot compartment for extra heat, and a fitted hood so you?re extremities will be taken good care of. It is like a super warm sleeping bag that goes inside your hammock, letting you sleep comfortably even in harsh conditions. Available in two different degree levels of cold, either a 30 or 0 degree ratings. watch the video below
