REVIEWING THE CHARTS: THE CHRISTMAS EPISODE 2023 (23/12/2023)
So this is Christmas, and what have you done? Another year over, and God, I hate that song. Welcome to the ceremonial series finale of REVIEWING THE CHARTS - the Christmas chart, the only time anyone aside from people who still use forums care about the UK Singles Chart, as the Christmas #1 is revealed. Rather unceremoniously, it’s “Last Christmas” by Wham!, a song that’s been #1 before but the week after Christmas, and was literally #1 last week. Welcome back.
About “Last Christmas”
It is a cute novelty to have a song that could have been the Christmas #1 any year in the past 39 years actually land that spot instead of a current year-exclusive novelty, and it’s actually the first year I’ve covered where LadBaby hasn’t been #1. In fact, this is the first Christmas #1 for Wham!, because most people don’t have several, I say with gritted teeth but in no direction whatsoever. Let’s do some trivia though, because this episode will be full of lists and facts and all of that, it’s an otherwise dull chart week. George Michael, the late singer of “Last Christmas”, has had a Christmas #1 before, specifically in the first year that “Last Christmas” could have been - he was one of the singers in the Band Aid collective that hit #1 in 1984 with the first rendition of “Do They Know it’s Christmas?”, a song that Morrissey, for all his flaws, rightfully stated was “diabolical”. When Band Aid was #1, George Michael had the feat of being on both the #1 and #2 records on the Christmas chart, a feat only managed by the Beatles and Ed Sheeran. He also joins the few who have had several Christmas chart-toppers, a prestigious group for sure, if you exclude the YouTubers from Nottingham that are also in that group.
Andrew Ridgeley, the other member of Wham!, did not perform on Band Aid however and therefore grabs his first Christmas #1. I’d say “Good for him”, but the man doesn’t perform on “Last Christmas” either - it’s all George. He doesn’t even provide a backing vocal or synth, and he’s not credited as a writer or producer. To be completely honest, I don’t know what Andrew Ridgeley ever did, but this is the first time in eight years that the Christmas #1 has not had either LadBaby and/or Ed Sheeran on it so let the man accept his completely undeserved award. He joins the even more prestigious group of artists with Christmas #1s despite technically not doing anything, up there with Mr. Blobby and Bob the Builder. Hey, maybe I should do an episode going through all the Christmas #1s at some point, maybe in lieu of a year-end list next year, it could be interesting.
Whilst we’re here, let’s have some fun with it, let’s get some “Last Christmas” facts in, why don’t we? Despite “Whamageddon”, the British public actually can’t get enough of the song as proven by its many covers to have hit the charts. Now I know what you’re thinking: they’re not going to list all the versions of “Last Christmas” that have charted, right?
…The original Wham! recording debuted at #2, originally as a double A-side with their song “Everything She Wants”, and stayed there for five weeks, being blocked by Band Aid for each and every one of them. It re-appeared the next two years before being given a rest until downloads came in and it returned to the charts, now on its own, in 2007 at #50. It peaked at #14 that year and has returned every single year since, hitting #7 in 2016-17, #2 in 2017-18 and 2020, before finally reaching #1 on the week after Christmas in 2021, sadly long after George Michael had passed. The song has now spent six weeks at the top. Now there is a large 20-year gap between its first chart run and its second. What happened during that time? Surely “Last Christmas” was simply off the charts? No, of course not. As early as 1995, Whigfield, fronted by a Danish singer and produced by Italians, had a cover out. It peaked at #21, with the #1 then being that year’s Christmas chart-topper, Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song”. A version by “Alien Voices” and “the Three Degrees” - genuinely no idea - hit #54 in 1998, when “Goodbye” by the Spice Girls was #1 and “Chocolate Salty Balls” was #2. The same year, there was a cover by “Le Groove” featuring Gwen Dickey, which hit #82 - was there a competition for worst-charting Wham! cover that year or something? We then had Latvian house duo Bth cover the song - pretty well, honestly - but just for a measly #93 peak in 2001 - the #1 that year was also a cover, “Somethin’ Stupid” by Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman. Probably the most well-known cover of the song, at least for people like me, is the 2007 version by Cascada, but the Eurodance version of the song to actually be a hit - yes, the Cascada cover didn’t even chart - was the Crazy Frog’s, whose 2006 “rendition” hit #16 for two weeks. The #1s were “Patience” by Take That and “A Moment Like This” by Leona Lewis respectively and suddenly Crazy Frog is actually sounding like a fitting replacement, Jesus.
Since the original started to return on a yearly basis, we have not seen as many versions - mostly because not a single one even compares to George Michael’s powerful original - but there have been some attempts, like a version by the cast of reality TV series The Only Way is Essex reaching #31 in 2011 - Gareth Malone and the Military Wives took home that year’s #1 with “Wherever You Are”. Ariana Grande hit #92 with it in 2013, when Lily Allen’s cover of “Somewhere Only We Know” topped the charts - always debatable to whether that’s a Christmas song - and finally, in the first chart week of this very year, or the last chart week of last year, depending on how you see it, Lauren Spencer-Smith’s version hit #70. I even “reviewed” it - it’s an Amazon original so I reviewed suggested songs instead - but the more interesting thing is that on that same week, it all came full circle, because at #1 was the original “Last Christmas”. Also, Spencer-Smith’s version is on Spotify now and it is terrible. Other big artists lik e Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen and the Backstreet Boys have covered the song but they have yet to chart in the UK with their versions. For the record, my favourite renidtion apart from the original is by pop punk band Jimmy Eat World.
Rundown
Oh, yeah, there’s 99 other songs on this chart, or 74 because of course, as you’d get the jist by now, I cover the UK Top 75, and particularly the notable dropouts, songs exiting from that region after five weeks within it or a peak in the top 40. This week, we bid a very temporary farewell to “Angel Numbers / Ten Toes” by Chris Brown, “Murdaside” by Mazza_l20, assisted by his revolving door of guest stars, “Now and Then” by The Beatles, “Lil Boo Thang” by Paul Russell, “One of Your Girls” by Troye Sivan, “Agora Hills” and “Paint the Town Red” by Doja Cat, “My Love Mine All Mine” by Mitski and finally, “Baddadan” by Chase & Status and Bou, who just got a Wikipedia page, featuring IRAH, Flowdan, Trigga and Takura. I’m sure most of these will be back in no time so save your tears for the January chart.
Now our gains and returns of course look quite minimal, but we may as well mention the Christmas songs that are only coming in this week - and perhaps the next - like the original “Stay Another Day” by East 17 at #75, also a former Christmas #1, “Mary’s Boy Child / Oh My Lord” by Boney M. at #71, “Little Saint Nick” by The Beach Boys at #69, “Lonely this Christmas” by Mud at #66, “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley at #65, “2000 Miles” by the Pretenders at #58 - high placement this year - and “Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt matching its peak of #55. A few newer festive tracks reach new peaks like “Jingle Bells” by Meghan Trainor at #67, “Winter Wonderland” by Laufey at #31, “DJ Play a Christmas Song” by Cher at #20, “Stay Another Day” by Jorja Smith at #18 and Hell, even the classic “Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!” by Dean Martin at #16. The highest-charting non-Christmas song is Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season” - which honestly almost counts - at #4, with the rest of our top five being pretty expected: Ed and Elton at #5, Mariah at #3 and Wham! at #1. Oh, and Sam Ryder’s Amazon original track “You’re Christmas to Me” is at #2 but really, it’s best we all ignore that.
As for notable non-Christmas gains, Teddy Swims is at #49 with “Lose Control” and that’s genuinely it. Aside from the Christmas #1, this is a pretty uneventful chart week: usually on these episodes I don’t have to pad it out with “Last Christmas” facts: there’s just enough there in the arrivals or the race to the Christmas #1 that it can get really hectic. We only have three new songs to talk about here and none of them are even particularly interesting, with absolutely none of them having a shot at the seasonal #1. Only one of them even tried, so let’s run through what will actually be the shortest part of the episode: our new arrivals.
NEW ARRIVALS
#73 - “FTCU” - Nicki Minaj
Produced by ATL Jacob
Okay, so two things: firstly, this isn’t exactly a cop-out week for me. If I were to review outside of the top 75, I’d have the same amount of songs to review, just replacing the next one for a song that, honestly, I don’t want to talk about but will probably appear come January. Secondly, we have two Nicki Minaj songs, both from Pink Friday 2, as whilst the big features showed up on the first week, the second grants us the songs with more longevity that the Barbz (is it with a Z?) want to go viral and all power to them because I’d be hard-pressed to find anything I’m a fan of in this album. Thankfully, the songs they chose are far from the worst, but also far from the most interesting. On this one, Nicki takes a very obvious sample from the Waka Flocka Flame of the same name featuring Pastor Troy and the late Slim Dunkin, taking isolated Flocka vocals and placing them under a barraged bass beat that feels very minimal. She’s lyrically better here than much of the album, with some well-written disses, even if that combined with the outro about giving her “her 10s”, alongside another reference to 50 Cent and the reassurance that Spotify doesn’t have to fudge numbers and that they are REALLY streaming her music… it sounds a bit desperate, doesn’t it? I probably wouldn’t notice that if there was anything else to this beat but there isn’t. Not much to this at all.
#60 - “Pink Friday Girls” - Nicki Minaj
Produced by J. Reid
You know, at least these rushed, sample-reliant songs that didn’t even make the physical version of the album only have one producer, it’s not like that Travis Scott album where it takes eight people to make some of the most joyless music imaginable. Anyway, I feel like you know where this is going - Cyndi Lauper’s classic song “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” - I always preferred “Time After Time” - peaked at #2 in 1984, just missing out on the top spot thanks to another undeniable classic of that year, “Relax” by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Here’s Nicki implementing that song, which has charted a couple times after in various forms and covers, so it’s not like this is new, incredibly liberally with a silly cowbell and trilled hi-hats, as well as British accents, hyper-feminine lyrical content and an on-the-nose reference to the song that it’ll remind you the most of, “Super Bass”. Listen, the song is completely fine, aside from the outro from Lourdiz that proves Dr. Luke had his greasy mitts here somewhere, but it’s also barely a functioning song, more just a vehicle for Nicki to try and relive the good old days, which isn’t awful on principle or anything but again, it’s a bit sad.
#29 - “I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday” - Creators Universe
Produced by Jamie Sellers
“I Wish it Could be Christmas Everybody” by glam rock band WIzzard, fronted by one of my favourite “oh, man, he’s still alive?!” moments, Roy Wood, is one of my favourite Christmas songs ever. Even with the children’s choir and it fitting just about every cliché possible of a Christmas tune, its unbridled joy has never failed to make me smile, though a lot of that’ll be chalked up to nostalgia. The song peaked for - get this - #4 for four weeks ending in 1974, during which another glam rock band’s Christmas hit, “Merry Xmas Everybody” by Slade, was #1. It’s been re-recorded, was re-released and re-charted many times, and it’s returned every year since 2007, even reaching the top 10 again in 2020. There’s been riffs on it before, like a mashup with the long-forgotten “Wombling Merry Christmas” - yes, that’s a third British children’s programme named in this episode and also, yes, I was considering doing another rundown of its many versions, before realising I could have done that for damn near every song debuting because they’re all in some way plainly derivative - but this new version is charity attempt at the Christmas #1… that as you can see failed tremendously, but it still made money for charity so who cares, right? Well, who are “Creator Universe”? I didn’t know either, but it seems to be a Band Aid-esque ensemble of social media influencers so time to make myself feel incredibly old. This band consists of, ahem, Alex Dodman, Alfie D Sajir, Aman Sanghera, Amy-Jo Simpson, Ann Russell, Anttix, Clara Batten, Gavin Wren, Jammidodger, Jess and Norma, John Reynolds, Joshua Morris, Lafay Williams, Lawrence Choto, Lee Chapman, Liam Dixon, Lucy Edwards, OSHU, Phil Carr, Pia Blossom, Richard Franks, Rob Colfer, Rosie McClelland, Rossi D Woods, Shaaba, The Familegh, The Nursery Nurse, Tommy Moore and Yorkshire Peach. If you recognise a single name on that list, then congratulations, you’re more qualified to review this song than I.
Conclusion
…What is there even to conclude? I mean, Christmas wasn’t in this tracking week so next week will be the dregs of the holiday cheer anyway, and it’s not like anybody seemed to care about what was the Christmas #1 this year, despite the fact that Christmas music went earlier and harder than it ever has before. This is the most anticlimactic end to a year on this show that I think I’ve ever heard… maybe LadBaby really was the saving grace, at least he gave me something to talk about. For now… merry Christmas or Festivus to all who celebrate and happy holidays in general, I will actually see you within the year again because the weeks just turn out like that, so no need for sentimentality just yet. Thank you for reading, I’ll be here again next week.

Kanye West's Net Worth In 2022: Ye Is No Longer A Billionaire
April 3, 2022
Until recently, almost everything Kanye West touched turned to gold. Ye hit the top of the charts like clockwork, sold out arenas in minutes, and made shoes like nothing anyone has seen before with huge price tags. All of his accomplishments once made him not only a pioneer in several industries but along with a very wealthy entertainer.
But all that came crashing down when West began making controversial public statements, many of which were filled with hate speech towards Black and Jewish communities. He was dropped by the talent agency CAA and lost lucrative partnerships with fashion houses like Balenciaga. On Oct. 25, after many weeks of public outcry, German sportswear company Adidas officially terminated their contract with his Yeezy brand, putting a large dent in his previous ten-figure net worth. Later the same day, Gap announced that they are taking “immediate steps” to remove Yeezy products from their stores.
Let’s take a look at how the artist amassed a net worth into the billions before losing a significant portion of it.
5 Ways Kanye West Makes His Money
1. Music
West’s forays into the apparel industry were the primary reason for his previous multi-billion dollar net worth, but it all started with the music. The rapper and designer rank among the bestselling and most successful artists ever when looking at critical acclaim and sales.
When his oft-delayed full-length Donda arrived, West scored his milestone tenth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, becoming just the seventh musician in U.S. history to reach that mark. In doing so, he joined a club that includes Eminem, The Beatles, Barbra Streisand, and frequent collaborator Jay-Z, with whom he shares one of his chart-toppers. On the Hot 100 in America, West has landed four No. 1s, 20 top 10s, and 135 appearances on the list, the fifth-most of all time.
Throughout his career, West has shifted certified 25.5 millionalbums in the U.S. and 124 million singles, the fifth-most among all artists in history. That figure expands to an estimated 140 million songs moved throughout the world. A 22-time Grammy winner (out of 75 nominations), West is tied for the tenth-most trophies among all artists, as well as the second-most among rappers, coming in behind only Jay-Z by one award.
In 2020, the Valentiam Group valued West’s music catalog at $110.5 million.
2. Music Businesses
West launched his record label GOOD Music, which stands for Getting Out Our Dreams, in 2005. In the nearly 20 years the company has been in business, albums from label signees John Legend, Common, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and Big Sean have all performed well sales-wise.
In March 2015, West was one of 16 famous figures who appeared during a press conference for the launch of the new streaming service Tidal. He stood alongside Nicki Minaj, Daft Punk, Calvin Harris, Jason Aldean, Madonna, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Jay-Z, who was the business mastermind behind the event. West was named as a co-owner, and despite the inclusion of many of the most popular musicians in the business, Tidal never became as popular as competitors like Apple Music or Spotify. In 2017, West left the firm, claiming he was owed at least $3 million.
3. Touring
West has headlined half a dozen tours throughout his career, racking up combined grosses of more than $190 million. He has also opened for Usher, U2, and The Rolling Stones, with the last two treks wrapping as some of the highest-earning of all time. The rapper warmed up the crowd for U2, whose Vertigo Tour brought in $389 million. After he finished that run of shows, he joined The Rolling Stones, whose A Bigger Bang venture earned $558 million at the box office.
The “Hurricane” rapper has also played the occasional private concert, earning millions for doing so. It was reported that in 2011 West and Jay-Z flew to Dubai to perform for a sheikh’s family, for which they were reportedly paid $6 million. On his own, the hip-hop musician also took home $3 million for signing on to be the entertainment at the 2013 wedding of the grandson of then-Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
While he hasn’t embarked on a proper tour of his own since 2016’s The Saint Pablo Tour, West has still managed to sell tens of thousands of tickets to a handful of live events. Throughout the summer of 2021, West played his new album Donda for crowds in Atlanta and Chicago, with fans paying to listen to something that wasn’t even done yet. In past years, he’s also brought his religious group Sunday Service to a handful of shows, which fans could buy tickets for.
4. Shoes
The vast majority of West’s net worth comes from his success as a shoe designer. He got his start creating footwear for Nike, and with the sportswear brand, he crafted three bestselling products before their partnership ended. West saw how well his creations were selling and he wanted to earn royalties, but the clothing giant wasn’t willing to relent, and thus he broke off the deal. West has also designed shoes for companies like Louis Vuitton, Giuseppe Zanotti, and Bape.
West continued making money when he jumped ship from Nike and went over to Adidas, where he remained until Oct. 25 when the company officially cut ties after his anti-Jewish remarks. His Yeezy brand was a financial success for the two with Forbesreporting that Adidas attributed 4-8% of their overall sales to the partnership. Every time the company announced a new item, it was known to sell out instantly. In fact, the first pair to be released by West and Adidas, known as the Yeezy Boost 750, was limited to just 9,000 pairs, and they sold out in 10 minutes.
The rapper has released at least a dozen different shoe designs with Adidas, which offered him royalties, unlike Nike. In 2019, the Yeezy line reportedly raked in $1.3 billion in revenue for Adidas, with West personally pocketing about $147 million of that. In 2020, that number jumped to $1.7 billion for the brand, while he earned another $191 million in royalties.
When Adidas walked away in 2022, it was estimated that this partnership made up $1.5 billionof West’s net worth.
5. Clothing
Around the time he jumped into designing shoes, West also created a clothing line he called DW Kanye West. His debut line was criticized by journalists in the space, though he pushed forward to create more. While reviews did get better, the project didn’t last very long.
In 2020, West signed a decade-long deal with Gap to bring his unique style and the Yeezy name(which he still owns despite his working with Adidas for so many years) to the American chain of stores in association with Spanish luxury fashion brand Balenciaga. The first item to emerge from the partnership was a puffy jacket that sold for$200 in pre-orders, while later merchandising drops appeared in large trash bags in stores to much controversy.
An early estimate stated that West’s line with Gap brought in as much as $1 billion in incremental sales in its first year, but Gap and Balenciaga both also terminated their partnerships with West in September and October, respectively. It is believed that $970 million of West’s fortune could be attributed to the Gap deal.
What Is Kanye West’s Net Worth?
$400 MILLION
Forbes previously estimated West’s net worth at $1.8 billion as of April 3, 2022, while West claimed during a 2022 interview with Hollywood Unlocked that he was worth $10 billion. In 2021, Billboard pegged his net worth at $6.6 billion, so the range of what experts believed the hip-hop staple was worth previously varied widely. But with his recent controversies, West’s net worth has plummeted to $400 million.

Music Fans Think G-Eazy’s Verse on ATEEZ’s ‘Work’ Remix Is a Callout to Halsey: ‘This Was Not on My Bingo List’
G's mention of Libras raised eyebrows in his new remix to the K-pop group's No. 1 hit.
With the newly released version of ATEEZ’s No. 1 single “Work” poised to make crossover impact for the K-pop group via the all-English remix featuring G-Eazy, the rapper’s verses have also sparked speculation among fans online that he used the track to take a jab at his ex-girlfriend, Halsey.
Released Friday, Aug. 9, the “Part 4” remix of “Work,” which topped World Digital Song Sales in June for ATEEZ’s first chart-topper on the ranking, features G-Eazy delivering a verse that has fans talking: “Actin’ innocent, no, it’s not your first time/We’re far away if Libra is her sign/ Oof, danger, danger (Danger, danger)/Don’t be a stranger (Don’t be a stranger)/ She said no one can save her.”
This particular line has drawn attention due to Halsey’s Sept. 29 birthday, making her a Libra and leading to widespread speculation that the lyrics could be a thinly veiled reference to his experiences and their past relationship. The stars were in a highly publicized relationship from 2017 to 2018 before an abrupt breakup in July 2018. While neither has spoken up directly about what ended their time together, both artists have released music that fans believe alludes to their breakup. Halsey has also previously mentioned being in an “abusive relationship,” though she has never explicitly confirmed if G-Eazy was involved.
After the collaboration’s release, one user on X (formerly known as Twitter) wrote that they “got weirded out when he sings that [because] I immediately remember Halsey…this is ATEEZ’s song why tf did u make it about u.” One X user added, “A collab of all things to make a little diss at your ex,” with another saying, “G-Eazy shading Halsey in a K-popcollab…this was not on my bingo list AT ALL.”
As some fans have noted, the particular lyrics in G-Eazy’s verse stand out against the backdrop of ATEEZ’s original message in “Work,” which is about focusing in on pushing toward your goals and achieving success. One fan on X wrote, “We’re talking about clocking in and he’s over here harassing his ex.”
Indeed, the K-pop group sings about the hustle in lines like, “I like to party when it’s a party/That’s payin’ me to pull up” and the addictive chorus of “Gotta work, gotta work / Gotta make that money, make purse.” G-Eazy later adds, “Work, flex, work, flex, always in the lab/ How I earn checks/ Hundred thousand dollars for a verse, yes/Wouldn’t lift a finger if it were less.”
The collaboration comes after ATEEZ’s established admiration for Halsey. The K-pop group’s fans, known as ANTINY, know the members frequently share music recommendations: Both Wooyoung and Jongho have shared their fondness for “Boy With Luv,” her hit collaboration with BTS, Yeosang has recommended Halsey’s chart-topping Billboard Hot 100 hit “Closer” with The Chainsmokers to fans. Mingi has also praised G-Eazy’s work, notably his Hot 100 hit “Me, Myself & I” featuring Bebe Rexha, and previously recommended Calvin Harris’ Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2 album, where Halsey features on two tracks.
Representatives for G-Eazy nor ATEEZ did not return Billboard‘s request for comment at press time.
Even if the potential diss has dominated most of the conversation, it’s important to recognize the latest steps in ATEEZ’s barrier-breaking 2024 that includes multiple “Work” remixes, being named an “Up Next” star in Variety’s Young Hollywood Impact Report, and the ongoing [Towards the Light : Will to Power] in North America arena and stadium tour that just took over New York’s CitiField on Saturday, Aug. 2. This year has also been momentous for G-Eazy with the June 21 release of his seventh studio album, Freak Show, marking his first full-length project in nearly three years, which precedes a world tour hitting North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand through this and next year.

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette Deep Dive
So… I’m tired of these eyeshadow palettes not working after a few years. I spent my hard earned money! This palette was $65 when I purchased it in 2017. I was working retail when I purchased it too so it needs to last! I am having an issue with Retrograde in this palette. Yes, I have some dupes but this one needs to work.
I did a internet search to find which eyeshadows have what formula:
- 8 x Matte Eyeshadows in Blazing, Saffron, Amethyst, Oud, Amber, Eden, Musk, and Desert Sand.
- 6 x Pressed Pearl Eyeshadows in Turkish Delight, Angelic, Cashmere, Royal, Nefertiti, and Blood Moon.
- 3 x Duo-Chrome Topper Eyeshadows in Retrograde, Twilight, and Celestial.
- Pure Glitter Eyeshadow in Cosmo
So after identifying Retrograde as a topper (meaning a thinner formula - more see-thru) I decided to hunt for ingredients to see if I can possibly rehydrate it…

Best of 5 JEE Coaching Institutes Pune, 2024-2025
The JEE is one of India’s most prestigious and competitive examinations, serving as the gateway to renowned engineering institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other top-tier colleges.
JEE is regarded as one of the toughest entrance exams, and to clear this exam, you need to work very hard and be committed to your goal. Joining a coaching class helps you make your JEE journey easier and increases your chance of success. Due to the competitive nature of the exam, it is imperative to get coaching from mentors who will guide you at every step, enhance your chances, and help you get better at the game.
The four key areas that can help you make the right decision in choosing the best JEE coaching class in Pune are:
Their results in JEE Main and Advanced
The faculty (whether they are IITians and have hands-on experience with the JEE Main and Advanced)
The environment they provide.
Effective doubt-solving systems in place.
You will find a JEE coaching class in every corner of Pune, and choosing the right one is what will decide your future.
Hence, we bring to you an updated version of the best JEE coaching institutes in Pune.
1. Bakliwal Tutorials
Bakliwal Tutorials is a leading JEE coaching class in Pune and Maharashtra as well. This is the only coaching in Pune that produces consistently excellent results year after year, and all their students are full-time students.
Bakliwal Tutorials was established in April 2005. Bakliwal Tutorials offers foundation courses for 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students and a 2-year comprehensive course for 11th grade students.
While they are primarily focused on engineering entrance exams like JEE, BITSAT, and MHT-CET, their courses are very comprehensive and cover the syllabus of KVPY, INMO, and the school or college syllabus as well.
Teachers-
Bakliwal Tutorials has published a full list of their faculty on their website. If you review the list in detail, you will see that 90 percent of the faculty members are IITians, and all of them are experts in the respective subjects. So you can be assured of the best quality education.

Jagrati Awasthi
Jagrati Awasthi is among the 261 women whose names have appeared in the list of candidates who have cleared the IAS exam 2020. Awasthi, who holds a BTech from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), worked as an engineer with BHEL from 2017 to 2019. She quit her work in 2019 to concentrate on her UPSC preparation after her first try at the test ended in failure. The 24-year-old attributes her astounding achievement in the IAS test to her parents, brother, and professors. Since Jagrati Awasthi’s training took place around periods of convocation, she thinks it was critical to stay motivated and retain focus while spending all of her time indoors. At first, she spent 8 to 10 hours every day studying. The study time was extended to 10–12 hours, and for the final two months before the exam, it was increased to 12–14 hours everyday.

Hey Steph, hope you’re well!
I was wondering if you knew of any specifically Christmas Tree decorating/decorating for the holidays Johnlock fics. Maybe even where they decorate a side of the tree each and John’s side is perfectly places and neat and Sherlock’s side has mini skeletons or bones or petri dishes or something so specifically Sherlock. They maybe have a little spat on what to put on the top of the tree (only to end up with a deerstalker on there). Or they have little domestics over whether the theme should be traditional green and red or winter wonderland or something?
If not, I may have to write one (or a few) of these as one shots. I may just do that anyway.
Sorry for rambling! Hope you have a wonderful day. Stay safe <3
Hey Nonny!
OOOOOF ahhhhh god my memory is so shoddy... I'll direct you to my Christmas lists, but I will pull out the ones I remember or THINK had Christmas Tree Decorating in them... As for your specific request, OOF don't think I know of any... if anyone has one or wants to write it, PLEASE DO!! <3

Entanglement by orphan_account (G, 3,218 w., 1 Ch. || Confessions, Physics, Metaphors, Texting, Pining, Christmas, Mind Palace, Sick Fic, Fluff, Humour, Praise Kink) - On Christmas Eve, snow covers London, John visits Harry, and Sherlock and Mrs. Hudson untangle some knots.
Last Christmas by Mazarin221b (T, 3,911 w., 1 Ch. || Fluff, Pining Sherlock, First Kiss) – That Earth-shaking revelation, then, leads to a problem, and one that Sherlock realizes should be solved quickly, before John’s dates turn into girlfriends or boyfriends, because sometimes girlfriends or boyfriends can turn into wives or husbands while your back is turned. Every time John hums happily at the mirror as he shaves, splashes on a little gift cologne Mrs. Hudson bought him for Christmas, Sherlock is drawn back to that night by the fire, and the way John’s touch had made the world stand still.
Tree Topper by May_Shepard (E, 4,017 w., 1 Ch. || Christmas Tree, Christmas Fluff, Drunken Shenanigans, Smut, First Time, Friends to Lovers) – Sherlock and John are celebrating Christmas the best way they know how--alone together, with booze. They've almost finished decorating their tree, but John is determined to find the best way to top it.
Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Christmas Spirit by SilentAuror (M, 15,002 w., 1 Ch. || Christmas, Domesticity, Post S3, Happy Ending) – John hates Christmas. So does Sherlock, but he suggests that they do Christmas "properly" this year to see if they can't track down its elusive magic and discover for themselves what Christmas is supposed to be about.
Deck the Halls by itsalwaysyou_jw (T, 31,018 w., 24 Ch. || Advent Fic / Multiple One-Shots, Assorted Tags) – One Johnlock ficlet for every day leading up to Christmas. Who is ready for pining, first kisses, established Johnlock, and everything in between? This collection of stand-alone ficlets will have it all.
a good old-fashioned happy ending by darcylindbergh (E, 32,731 w., 26 Ch. || Christmas, Frottage, Comfort, Est. Rel., Fluff, Insecure Sherlock, Frottage, Nightmares, Sleepy Sherlock, Marriage Proposal, Humour, Fluff, Dancing, Cooking, Happy Ending) – For Christmas this year, Sherlock wants to get John something special: something every fairytale deserves. Part 2 of things fairy tales are made of
Goodness Gives Extras by mydwynter (E, 39,629 w., 6 Ch. || Fluff & Angst, Case Fic, Oral / Anal, Humour, First Time, Miscommunication, Snark, Christmas) – Christmas time. 'Tis the season to settle down with a drink, some food and a present or two, and to enjoy the quiet relaxation of the holiday. Instead, there's a case that drags them all over, missing presents, disappointed kids, angry parents, and a freak snowfall. On top of that John has to deal with Sherlock, who is being even more of a prat than usual. He really shouldn't have expected anything different.
The Baker Street Nativity by SwissMiss (E, 99,662 w., 23 Ch. || Nativity! AU || Teacher Sherlock / TA John, Pining, Sherlock POV, UST, Angst, Christmas, Music/Song Fic, Anal / BJ’s, First Kiss / Time) – Fusion between Sherlock (BBC) and Nativity! (2009 movie starring Martin Freeman). Sherlock is a primary school teacher and John is assigned to be his classroom assistant. Together, they are charged with putting on the school's Nativity play. What could possibly go wrong? Part 1 of The Baker Street Nativity Verse

The full meal template ended up being pretty easy to modify for the new portrait oriented recipe cards. Just flipped that row and kept the resolutions. In these pictures, I'm still battling with the angle and focal plane of the recipe card but that'll get less awful. The Italian-Style Breaded Pork Chop with herb-roasted potatoes wins the pick for first meal using the modified format. This is a recipe that very likely would've been a bone-in pork chop a couple years ago but Home Chef has almost entirely abandoned using bone-in pork chops. At first I thought it was due to the pork shortages but I've about decided that it is a cost saving measure. It's unfortunate because the bone-in pork chops were one of my favorite perks of using Home Chef and those really got me to love pork chops again. Maybe they'll come back some day but for now I'm bone-out of luck. Panko yield was increased with some of my own. While they do include enough breading to coat each chop, things go easier if I add more to the plate used for dredging. Any time it's just sprinkled on and pressed to adhere, I can get away with just the provided pack. They're also leaning heavily into the pre-made fancy butters recently, with this one being the first time I was instructed to mix it into an oven roasted side. It worked out well but I hope protein topper compound butters will continue to be hand-made. Instead of a butter, these chops got a tomato reduction and wow that was good. Cooked down in the frond from the pork and simmered until saucy. Might could have used a deglazing element but the acidity of the tomatoes seemed to handle that well enough. Pairing for this meal was a Donnachiara Taurasi Aglianico (2017) Campagnia region Italian red. I really enjoyed this wine with the first serving of the pork and potatoes; pretty much going back to take a sip in between each bite. It'll make the purchase list again for sure.

Weekend Top Ten #498
Top Ten Movie Cameos
The first time I think I ever noticed someone cameoing in a movie was Steven Spielberg. I was watching The Blues Brothers, and there was this guy, who I was sure was Mr. The Berg. I must have seen him in some behind-the-scenes something or the other. But he was a director, not an actor, so it couldn’t have been him, right? Then years later I was reading Empire, and sure enough, I was vindicated. It was indeed the play mountain himself. But more on that later.
So, cameos, then. What is a cameo? Now, in my opinion, I think it really has to be small. Really, it should just be one scene – or even one shot. The smaller the better. I’ve seen people online refer to Judi Dench in Shakespeare in Love or Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder as cameos, which is very, very daft, as those are clearly supporting roles – even if they are quite small (and remember, Dench didn’t win her Oscar for “Best Cameo”, she won it for “We Meant To Give You This Last Year”, which is a very important category in the Oscars). I also think the best cameos should be unexpected; a nice surprising treat. And usually they’re funny – the incongruity of seeing that person in this film. Because that’s the other thing: for a cameo to really work, the person cameoing has to be kinda famous. For instance, some might say that Ashley Johnson in The Avengers is a cameo, but whilst she’s obviously awesome and prodigiously talented, I don’t think she’s instantly recognisable enough (which, y’know, she’s mostly famous as a voice actor); also there’s nothing inherently funny or surprising about her role, she’s a waitress who’s saved by Captain America. It doesn’t feel like it’s saying anything to have Johnson play that role, other than I guess Joss Whedon wanted her in the movie (it’s actually funnier that her brief scene is referenced in Loki, because Kate Herron had the whole of the MCU to draw from in a montage, but chose to use an unknown character who’s in one tiny bit of one film, entirely because she’s a huge fan of The Last of Us – see, that is arguably a cameo).
So my rationale for what is and isn’t a cameo might seem complex or even arbitrary, but when has that stopped me in the past? And so, with no further ado, we now get deep into the weeds of it and celebrate my favourite movie cameos of all time. Oh, and there’s no Bill Murray here; I know, I know, it’s a really famous cameo, but, er, I’ve never seen Zombieland. Sorry.
Stan Lee in Pretty Much Everything (2000-2019): I mean, who else? The absolute King of Cameos. Lee was a massive publicity hound all his life, and passed up no opportunity to get in front of the camera, so once big, proper movies were being made of his comics, he was right there, selling hot dogs in X-Men (2000), rescuing children in Spider-Man (2002), and then right through every MCU film until his sad death in 2019 (and even popping up in Teen Titans!). Hearing him tell Miles Morales “I'm going to miss him,” in Into the Spider-Verse chokes me up every time.
Carrie Fisher & George Lucas in Hook (1991): this has always been one of my favourites because unlike virtually every other entry in this list, you only know this if you’ve been told. But it’s funny and it’s sweet. When Tinkerbell takes Peter to Neverland, she flies over a bridge, where a silhouetted couple are seen canoodling. Her pixie dust falls across them, and they begin to float into the air. And apparently the unrecognisable couple are played by Princess Leia and the director of Star Wars. Which, I think you’ll agree, is pretty cool (Hook is really good for cameos).
Brad Pitt in Deadpool 2 (2018): having an invisible character offers plenty of opportunity for some good gags, especially in a Deadpool movie, but the real laugh in the film comes when the Vanisher is electrocuted and we get to see his face for a split second. And – ha – it turns out to be the hugely mega-famous Brad Pitt. It’s funny because he’s a massive star.
Martin Sheen in Hot Shots! Part Deux (1993): it’s one thing for the movie to do an Apocalypse Now gag, as Charlie Sheen’s Topper Harley sails down a river on a military boat, but hanging a lampshade on it by making it cross over with Martin Sheen’s Willard from the classic seventies Vietnam epic is another thing entirely. And then both actors notice each other – ha, funny, they’re father and son in real life – and say in unison, “I loved you in Wall Street!”. Very on-the-nose all the funnier for it.
Steven Spielberg in The Blues Brothers (1980): well, I mentioned him, and here he is, a totally nonplussed-looking administrator bloke just merrily eating a sandwich. He’s frightfully young (I’m guessing he was probably about 32 or 33) and he’s got a big brown tache instead of his usual ‘Berg Beard, he’s dressed very smartly and he’s awfully polite. His demeanour is hilariously in stark contrast to the mayhem around him, and his public persona is also hilariously in contrast to the raucous and ribald mood of the movie.
Cate Blanchett in Hot Fuzz (2007): this is one I didn’t even notice till I read about it after seeing the movie. In a very funny scene where Simon Pegg’s Nick Angel chats to his ex-girlfriend Janine, she is head-to-toe in forensic gear throughout, with a mask covering her face, so all we see are her eyes. But the gag of it is, she’s played by the phenomenally famous Cate Blanchett. You get a megastar to do one scene but make her unrecognisable. So funny it beats Peter Jackson’s evil Santa.
Don Ameche & Ralph Bellamy in Coming to America (1988): this is another one I remember finding hilarious when I was a kid. Walking down the street late at night with love interest Lisa (Shari Headley), Akeem (Eddie Murphy) nonchalantly gives a huge wad of cash to some poor homeless bums. But it turns out that they’re played by Murphy’s old Trading Places co-stars Ameche and Bellamy – and they refer to each other by their character names from that earlier film. “We’re back!” declares Ameche, referencing the end of Trading Places, when their crooked broker characters were defeated and ruined by Murphy and Dan Aykroyd. It’s a great bit of shared-universe tomfoolery, and very funny for fans of Murphy’s movies. Oh, and speaking of Aykroyd…
Dan Aykroyd in Casper (1995): in 1995 it had been six long, bitter years without a new Ghostbusters film; back then, we could still hold out hope for a proper Ghostbuster 3. Sadly that never came to pass, but it was a very pleasant surprise when Ray Stantz himself popped up in Casper, of all things, fearfully running out of Whipstaff Manor in full ghostbusting regalia and declaring, “Who ya gonna call? Someone else!”. I mean, after facing down Gozer and Vigo and who knows what else, you’d think three sarcastic arsehole ghosts would be no match for him, but maybe the ‘busters were having tough times. Maybe this will all be backstory in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Maybe Cathy Moriarty and Eric Idle will return the favour and do cameos of their own. We can but hope.
Matt Damon, Luke Hemsworth, & Sam Neill in Thor: Ragnarok (2017): twenty years ago you could point to Goldmember as the, er, gold standard in multi-character cameo pile-ups. And while that is great – Danny DeVito giving the finger, Spielberg back-flipping – I think it’s been surpassed by this minor gaggle of stars hamming it up. Matt Damon – famouser than anyone actually billed in the movie – is An Actor Playing Loki. Dr. Alan Grant from Jurassic Park is An Actor Playing Odin (whilst Odin’s actor, Anthony Hopkins, plays Tom Hiddleston playing Loki playing Odin – do keep up), and Thor’s Real-Life Brother plays An Actor Playing Thor. It’s all delightfully meta and hilarious.
Ollie Johnston & Frank Thomas in The Incredibles (2004): this one’s really sweet, and like the Hook cameo, would very easily slip you by. At the end of the film, after the climactic battle, two old men cheer on the superheroes – “That’s old school!” “Yep, no school like the old school!” – but what’s great is that they’re voiced by – and designed to look like – Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas, the last two surviving members of the famous “Nine Old Men” group of Disney animators, who’d worked on many of the classic Disney films. This was Pixar and director Brad Bird giving a tip of the hat to the legends who came before them, and made all the sweeter by the fact that Johnston and Thomas (both sadly now deceased) were absolute best buds in real life. A cameo that educates and makes you think! How nice!
There you go. Sadly no room for any of the many great Star Wars cameos, from Daniel Craig through to George Lucas’ entire family. Oh well!

Why Harry Styles Just Scored His First No. 1 Song
Like any boy band alumnus, he first had to overcome radio’s bias against teen heartthrobs.
Late summer is a great time for sleeper hits: songs that have been hanging around the charts for months and finally hit their stride. Four years ago, in August 2016, Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” reached No. 1 after knocking around the charts since the prior winter, getting its final boost from a Sean Paul remix. In September 2018, Maroon 5’s year-old “Girls Like You” slipped into the top slot after wafting around the Top 10 for more than four months, with a Cardi B verse putting it over the edge. Last year around Labor Day, Lizzo finally topped the Hot 100 with “Truth Hurts,” a song that was two years old and had been rising gradually on the chart since the spring.
This year’s sleeper hit is “Watermelon Sugar,” a wisp of a song by boy bander–turned–self-styled rock star Harry Styles. With a name inspired by Richard Brautigan’s hippie-era, post-apocalyptic novella In Watermelon Sugar, Styles’ lackadaisical tune is not only a sleeper but a grower, the sort of hit that sneaks up on you—I wasn’t sure it even had a fully written chorus the first time I heard it, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone. Indeed, the whole nation took its time deciding that this quirky ditty would give the starriest, most eccentric member of One Direction his first-ever U.S. chart-topper.

“Watermelon Sugar” is the third single promoted from Styles’ second solo album Fine Line, which was released last December. That alone is remarkable, given the challenge in the digital age of generating chart interest in anything other than an album’s first couple of singles. Generally, in an era when all of an album’s songs are available to be consumed the day the album drops, you need a remix or a special guest of some kind to gin up chart action months after the song first hits streaming. “Sugar” has none of those. To be sure, there was some gimmickry fueling the song’s leap to the top, albeit of an old-fashioned kind: The song had its best week of sales ever thanks to an assortment of limited-edition vinyl and cassette singles that came bundled with a digital download. Those sales got “Sugar” the last mile on the charts, but Columbia Records wouldn’t have put the physical goods on sale if the song wasn’t already a radio smash—“Sugar” currently has the second-biggest U.S. airplay audience—and they knew they had an opening between current hits by Taylor Swift and a pair of lascivious female rappers I’ll almost certainly be writing about in this space next week. So, fair play to Team Harry: They took advantage of an open chart window, a tactic as old as the Hot 100 itself.
As “Sugar” leaps from No. 7 to No. 1 on the Hot 100 this week—essentially switching places with his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s “Cardigan,” which falls to No. 8—Styles scores only the second-ever chart-topper by a member of One Direction. That includes all of the hits by 1D itself. In its five years of recording, from 2011 through 2015, the band never scored a Hot 100 No. 1. This despite topping the Billboard 200 album chart with its first four studio albums, the only group in history to launch a career with that haul. So … what was that other 1D-affiliated Hot 100–topper I mentioned? It was by ex-member Zayn Malik, the only member to break from the crew while it was still active. Zayn’s smoldering, Weeknd-esque boudoir jam “Pillowtalk” debuted at No. 1—and spent a solitary week there—in the winter of 2016, fueled by blockbuster streams and downloads ginned up by 1D superfans still mourning his departure the prior year and the group’s resulting, presumably permanent hiatus.
Explaining how the top-selling boy band of the 2010s could shift so many CDs and downloads but generate only two No. 1 singles means briefly recapping the fraught history of boy bands and the charts. Selling albums has never been hard for pinup pop groups, since the days of Meet the Beatles! and More of the Monkees. And in the ’70s and ’80s, such precision sing-and-dance troupes as the Jackson 5, the Osmonds, and New Edition managed to generate both gold albums and chart-conquering singles. In 1989, New Kids on the Block had the year’s second-biggest album and four of the year’s top singles, including a pair of No. 1s. But starting in the ’90s, as U.S. radio networks consolidated (fueled by the 1996 Telecommunications Act) and programmers more narrowly targeted specific demographics, radio stations shied away from maximalist teen-pop that appealed primarily to under-18 audiences. By the end of that decade, even as boy bands were enjoying a new wave of TRL-fueled popularity, radio became a chart handicap for them. The Backstreet Boys and ’N Sync had the top-selling albums of 1999 and 2000, respectively—the diamond-selling Millennium and No Strings Attached—but only scored a solitary Hot 100 topper between them, ’N Sync’s “It’s Gonna Be Me.” (Backstreet never hit No. 1: The deathless “I Want It That Way” peaked at No. 6.)
This radio bias against boy bands has persisted into the 21st century. And ever since the Hot 100 went digital about a decade and a half ago, teen-pop’s chart placements have been the result of a battle between rabid downloaders and radio gatekeepers—massive digital sales compensating for modest radio play. For example, radio was what kept the Jonas Brothers from scoring any chart-topping hits during their original wave of teen idoldom; their biggest hit of the ’00s, the No. 5 hit “Burnin’ Up,” sold 2 million downloads but only ranked 55th at U.S. radio. By the ’10s, the same fate befell one-man boy band Justin Bieber. In this long-running Slate series, I have chronicled the blow-by-blow between Justin Bieber and radio programmers that swung from Justin as hit-starved teen idol in the early ’10s to dominant young-adult chart-dominator in the late ’10s. In the early ’10s period, Bieber was a YouTube and iTunes demigod with not a single radio smash to his name. He could sell a half-million downloads of “Boyfriend” in a week and still fall short of the No. 1 spot, thanks (no thanks) to radio.
For One Direction, the chart patterns were the same. A Frankenstein’s monster that Simon Cowell famously threw together in 2010 on his televised competition The X Factor from five solo competitors—Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson—1D continually found its singles dragged down on the Hot 100 by radio, even as the band sold truckloads of albums. The pattern was set in fall 2012 when “Live While We’re Young” debuted with a staggering 341,000 downloads but could only get to No. 3 on the Hot 100, thanks to its 50th-ranked radio airplay. In the summer of 2013, the slyly Who-interpolating “Best Song Ever” became 1D’s highest-charting hit ever, debuting at No. 2 with record video views and near-record downloads, but at radio it never got past No. 53. “Story of My Life” (No. 6, 2014), “Drag Me Down” (No. 3, 2015)—no matter how many downloads sold or videos viewed, 1D could never top the Hot 100 so long as its radio spins remained limited.
The reason I’m running down all of this granular chart data is it reveals the hurdles both 1D and its post-breakup soloists had to overcome to top the Hot 100. Like Justin Bieber, they had to become credible radio fodder with adults as well as kids. With his early break from the group, Zayn was the first to pull this off. Though “Pillowtalk” debuted at No. 1 largely due to massive sales and streams, the carnal song did eventually become a No. 4–ranked airplay hit. Cleverly, Zayn had chosen a then-current EDM-inflected R&B mode and dropped his debut while the Weeknd was between albums. Other former 1D-ers have had their share of solid radio hits, including Liam Payne’s hip-hop–inflected “Strip That Down” featuring Quavo of Migos (No. 10 on the Hot 100, No. 4 on Radio Songs) and Niall Horan’s softly bopping pop jam “Slow Hands” (No. 11 Hot 100, No. 2 Radio Songs).
And Harry Styles? He decided to make things harder on himself. His 2017 debut album was chockablock with old-school classic rock. This would be like launching a career in 1964 with big-band jazz. While Styles’ fame ensured a big launch for his Bowie-esque single “Sign of the Times”—it opened, and peaked, at No. 4 on the Hot 100, fueled by strong downloads—radio showed only moderate interest. It eventually reached a modest No. 21 on the airplay chart. Later Harry singles like the twangy “Two Ghosts” and the thrashy “Kiwi” missed the Hot 100 and had little radio profile beyond a handful of pure-pop stations that were loyal to Styles from his 1D days. One admired Harry for following his artistic muse—more Joni Mitchell than Justin Bieber—but as a pop star, he arguably squandered his momentum coming out of One Direction.
What has made Fine Line, Styles’ sophomore album, such a clever left turn is he retained the rock flavor he naturally gravitates toward but converted it into mellow California-style surf-pop, and he let his production team—Tyler Johnson and Thomas “Kid Harpoon” Hull—fashion the songs into percolating radio jams. Each single has opened the door a bit wider: “Lights Up,” a No. 17 last October, is lightly strummed beach music with ethereal backing vocals. And “Adore You,” a No. 6 hit in April (for my money, still Styles’ best single), is thumping electropop. “Adore” in particular served as Styles’ entrée onto radio’s A-list—it reached No. 1 on mainstream Top 40 stations and No. 2 on Radio Songs by early summer.
With this beachhead established, Harry was finally free to let his freak flag fly with “Watermelon Sugar,” which is simultaneously his oddest single and his most infectious. The chorus consists of nothing more than the line “Watermelon sugar high” repeated a half-dozen or more times, with emphasis on the “HIGH.” (TikTok users have keyed into this idiosyncrasy, sharing videos in which the “high” gets its own video edit of the user playacting her best stoner face.) Last November, when Styles did double-duty hosting and singing on Saturday Night Live, “Sugar” was one of the songs he performed, and in that indoor setting, it came off as willfully quirky and seasonally incongruous; the song’s first verse line is “Tastes like strawberries on a summer evenin’.” Now, timed for 2020’s beach season—complete with a video filled with beautiful people on the shore, shot just before the pandemic and, according to a title card, “dedicated to touching”—it’s sitting atop the hit parade.
In short, Harry Styles finally has a profile on the radio and on the Hot 100 that matches his profile on magazine covers, and he achieved it on his own schedule and something like his own terms. Like John Lennon in the ’70s—the founder and nominal leader of the Beatles but the last former Fab to reach the toppermost of the poppermost as a solo artist—Styles just had to find his own way. As that onetime teen heartthrob sang, “Whatever gets you to the light, it’s all right.”
