Cleo always looked at you with a smile that you couldn’t understand. Then, like a shadow, she was always there when you and Pope were together, but you couldn’t help but notice how she was constantly trying to get his attention. Pope, however, seemed not at all interested, in fact, every time Cleo tried to make the first step, he ignored her with a ease that made you smile.

You were walking along the beach with Pope, the light breeze that shook your hair. The sun was setting, tinging the sky of pink and orange. You knew that Cleo was a stone’s throw from you, but it was clear that Pope had eyes for you.

"I don’t know why you keep staring at me," you whisper to him, grabbing his hand as you move to get closer to him. "She doesn’t care, Pope. You know, don’t you?"

He looks at you with one of his irresistible smiles, the one that makes your heart beat. " Yes, but you do," he answers in a low voice, and kisses you on the forehead, sending a shiver down your back.

Cleo was there, a few meters away, with her eyes fixed on you. His expression betrayed the embarrassment, but he could not take his eyes. It was clear that he was still trying to win over Pope, but he didn’t realize that his heart belonged to someone else: you.

You smile maliciously, making the decision to let her know, once and for all, that Pope was yours. You approach him with a determined step, without saying anything, and you kiss him passionately before Cleo’s eyes. Your hands intertwine in her hair as the kiss becomes deeper, more intense. Feel the beat of his heart accelerate as your tongue explores his mouth with desire. There is no room for anyone else at that moment, only him and you.

When you separate from Pope, you look into Cleo’s eyes, your elusive and confident smile. "Do you see? He is mine," you whisper without hesitation. Your words are sweet, but firm, and the tension between you is palpable. Cleo says nothing, but the disappointment in his eyes is evident. Despite everything, she knows that Pope will never look at her the way he looks at you.

Pope looks at you, his face lit by a satisfied smile. "You know you’re incredible, right?" he says, as he embraces you." Cleo will have to resign."

He laughs under his breath, as he holds you to himself. "No one can compete with you."

Cleo slowly walks away, eyes down, while you and Pope walk along, happy, hand in hand.
