2024 felt like 4 years in one for me. Personally it was a terrible year for me, however art-wise I grew a lot and now have a much clearer picture of what I want and need to do going forward. The 2 big things this year for me was that I passed 100,000 followers on tumblr (I included one of the celebration animations I made for it which tumblr itself featured which was really cool), and I finally launched an early version of the 'Super Cassette' brand.

I'll say that for other artists, 2024 is proof of why you should try to post on as many platforms as possible. Tumblr was nearly dead a couple years ago, Tiktok was only good for short videos and now it's one of the best for image albums, Instagram used to be worth posting on (I'm sure it'll come back), Pinterest I've ignored but I get far more reach there than on IG now, etc.

This year has been so busy that it's best summed up in my 'top9 favorite posts' image in which my 2 favorite designs for the year only exist as merch, I haven't made those versions as art yet. Right now I'm sorting my 2025 plans which I'm excited to work on, although they are far more ambitious than anything I've done before.

Once more round the calendar and here we are with my most liked weekly character sketches.

Thank you to everyone who's liked one of my drawings. When I do these quick daily character sketches, and tiny drawings to keep practice, I do them for myself, but I always really appreciate each note and like.

Happy New year! -- Here is a look back 2024 through some of my most liked pieces. 2 of my a to z of taskmaster and lots of puns does sum up my art year pretty well. I did more watercolours and mixed media illustrations this year than digital.
