i'm glad im arab cuz it's much easier to hide that you're gay around other arabs. cuz arab men will casually greet each other with kisses and hugs and will literally hold hands or lock arms with each other while hanging out casually. and they'll touch each other casually too. i'm not even joking or anything. a couple years after my dad came to study in america, one of his friends from palestine came to study as well, so when my dad came to greet him at the airport, he held out his arms for a hug and his friend was like "wait dude no! we can't do that here... the americans will think we're gay" and my dad was like "is it illegal to be gay in america?" and his friend said "no?" so my dad was like "okay so shut the fuck up and give me a kiss" and then they did. my dad is homophobic btw.
