It was bound to happen, I saw a piece of Toosh fanart and it was them as cat noir and ladybug like... I understand keeping shipping two ccs to yourself but there has been a shift in how twitter users are talking about them I'm not seeing as many people sibling code them anymore which is a good thing.

Day 1 - Strength

I came into the fandom earlier this year, speak mostly of my OCs, but noticed OCs for the fandom weren’t getting love. I was going to create an oc week, but decided to search and then I found out that one was coming up, so I waited some more and, eventually... @khoc-week​ had an interest check and then I was stoked. So I’m participating in my first ever OC week, because being afraid to post something you enjoy is stupid and I’m done with thinking it’s not stupid :)

Probably the easiest prompt I could have had and I came up with the idea quickly, but knowing how to go about it sucked. 

Went out on the box with this one - strength could be seen on a physical sense, but the strongest form (and the form that is the greater strength in the series) is the strength of bonds. The strength of heart. The strength of will.

Aegis is physically strong, but that physical strength is nothing compared to the chains to her bonds.

A piece of writing to go with this is below the cut. Lately, the read more hasn't worked at all, so my apologies if it doesn't work XD

Yes, I didn't give her the glove she wears on her left (the arm with the armour lol), but such intimacy doesn't need gloves.

Beneath her skin were scars left be chains. Not to torture or tie her to her darkness - on the contrary, they had pulled her out of of the grasp of its silver tongue and poisoned words, keeping her safe as the only opportunity she had to prevent Terra from being repossessed had been stolen from her from beneath her feet. Taking a moment to aid the recovery of his body and heart had given Xehanort a head start and, in hindsight, it would have been a perfect opportunity to use her as a vessel, too. Or to eradicate her in an effort to prevent Terra’s heart from continuing its fight to regain control. 

Her fight against Xehanort (she refused to taint Terra’s name by conjoining it with a name of pure evil) hadn’t been the first time the chains had saved her. Truthfully, the first time was during her brief moment in the Realm of Darkness during the fight again Xehanort’s heartless - The Guardian had deemed her a nuisance, apparently, and dragged her down into the realm. Her only saving grace was the form of a silent keyblade wielder - illuminated in gold - guiding her to Aqua, Terra’s heart and Ven. Xehanort had won a fight and she was more than prepared to fight him again, despite the soreness in her ribs. But Terra’s continuous fight had allowed him to return. And her first instance with the chains had moved her away from the fight, and the Guardian had roughly grabbed her as soon as the chains had released her to fully focus on Xehanort. When she was back in the realm of light, Sora looking s relieved she was back and hugging her so tight she knew she would bruise from The Guardian, she could still feel their heat upon her skin.

She felt her already close bond to Terra had grown even stronger - a chain to bonds virtually indestructible. And their return  in an attempt to destroy the blackened ones of Xehanort that threatened her existence was a welcome reminder that he still had fight left within him. 

“I doubt Aegis,” She looked away from the window that she had been staring at - the conversation dull enough for her to lose herself in her thoughts at the small mention of hearts being connected and needing to find a link to Aqua - to look at Riku when he mentioned her name, “would be able to sit and do nothing when there’s still hope for Terra.”

“If he has been repossessed by Xehanort,” Yen Sid stroked his beard, “there is little hope.”

“But the bonds to hearts are unbreakable!” Sora piped up, putting a foot forward with his hands clenched in front of his chest and his elbows pointing t the floor. “The bond she has with Terra is even stronger now! That’s hope enough.” Donald and Goofy looked to each other in doubt and she narrowed her eyes at them. She hadn’t been searching for twelve years to give up now.

“What do you think a bond to a heart possessed by darkness will succeed after so many years? Your bond with Riku helped him, but -”

“Darkness exists for many years before it takes hold. I have seen Terra’s heart fight with every strength it has. You don’t believe, Yen Sid, but I do. As do Sora and Riku. Aqua believes and I know Ven’s heart does, too, even if it is asleep.”

“Then what is your plan?”

She placed her hand on her heart, smiling at the chains protecting that bond, and found her strength. She found her confidence to look up with narrowed eyes and speak confidentially.

“Bloody win. No matter what.”
