Pride in Einquell!

So a while back, just a bit before pride month, I decided to take on the challenge of hosting a pride collab with the drafthouse server, in celebration of Pride month! Obviously, it is now not pride month. But who said that we had to stop celebrating? :D

hey so i finally drew Willow and the Taffy train as people and i wanted to know if you'd be cool with me posting it and tagging you, or if there's another way you'd like me to do it (submit it, or just post it with the toonkind tag/ taffy train tag)

any advice for someone that's been a toonkind server lurker for a while, but left it alone long enough (busy life things, and i'm not used to the speed of big servers) that the content backlog is probably overwhelming by now. I'd love to get to the point of being able to run/play some fun things with other cartoon enjoyers, but I worry I'm not in the know enough (whats important canon, which characters already have bootlegs so I didn't repeat one, general server/toonkindDND culture, etc) to engage properly

Fantasic news, buddy! I've been on the server since day 1 and I know Approximately Nothing about what's going on at any given point in time! And I moderate the damn thing!

Seriously though, even if you can't catch up on everything that happens, that's a-okay! The vast majority of people tend to pick a few people (DMs or players) and/or a few characters to kinda... keep tabs on? And then don't get hugely involved in storylines outside of those, because frankly there's just Too Much Content for any one person to keep up with.

We all understand what it's like to be out of the loop, so questions about anything that's going on are always welcome. We have a whole-ass channel dedicated to helping people out when they're stuck on something or unsure and need to double-check. People pretty frequently ask about lore- or location-related stuff and potential expies, so I promise you that no one will mind you asking a few questions of your own.

If you're looking to potentially run games, then it's fair that you should know we've also got a private channel for the various DMs as well. We use it to talk about game ideas and ask for help/advice on DMing stuff, and it's relatively common for people to double-check game ideas with each other in there as well.

TL;DR: Just dive right in, bud. Ask questions, pick a topic/plot-thread you want to get involved in, and don't worry about keeping track of everything. It'll be okay, I swear

So! I got to play my first Toonkind DMD game tonight! (In fact, I was the DM)

This is Rhodey Elder, the character I was playing as. (Because I only had 2 players and didn't want them to get overwhelmed.) He's a green and white Yupyean who's posted a "help wanted" ad int the local tavern to find the missing daughter of the fur hunter, Hawkeye.

I think everything went well. At least, I know the three of us had fun. And it seems like everyone would want to play again at some point, so I'd call that a win!

It was just a one-shot campaign, so we didn't get into everyone's back story, but I think we laid a good foundation for future games.
