Yes, Pisistratus' presence is sparse in the book, but I think they're cute nonetheless! I took a lot of creative liberties in the process of making this, haha.

My inspiration from this came from this beautifully written fanfic of them by Totilott (titled Guiding Light!), as well as my current hyperfixation on the Wisdom Saga and the Odyssey.

Hello!! I'm just very curious as to what is the backstory of Izek on your game. I'm pretty sure the DM took creative liberties fleshing that character out to make him so interesting to you and I really want to know more haha.

Hello! I'm so excited you're asking. Our DM definitely took some liberties and changed some details about Izek Strazni. Some of those are Curse of Strahd spoilers (specifically about him as in the canon Izek Strazni, the Abbot and the Amber Temple,), so I'll add them under the cut.

Izek was the general/head of the guards in Vallaki. Our DM removed the whole connection he has with Ireena in canon (including the dolls). His family got killed by wolves & werewolves when he was a child, presumably his baby sister too, who later in our game turned out to be alive and a werewolf called Zuleika.

Our DM connected Izek to the Abbot, who found him at lake Baratok but left him to die as his family got slaughtered around him. Soon after entering Barovia, my character Ionel, an Aasimar, had nightmares of a dying boy at a lake, which later turned out to be the Abbot's memories (he's also my character's guide so that's why there was a connection through his dreams).

As Izek lay dying from blood loss, a dark force appeared and offered him life and power in exchange for Izek killing every wolf and werewolf in Barovia (not just killing them, incinerating their bodies and souls so they can't be reborn). That's how he survived and got his devilish arm. Vargas Vallakovich found him in the forest soon after and later made him general. Due to his "upbringing" and the devilish power, he was mostly fueled by revenge and was overall violent. He was ready to kill my character as soon as he saw that Ionel is "angelic", reminding him of the Abbot at the lake.

In our game, we managed to find out more about this dark force, an entity that apparently resides in the Amber Temple (we know its name and power but that's it so far 👀). My character at one point cut off the devil arm with his sword, since the "curse" started to spread into the rest of Izek's body and he started to really lose himself in this obsession of killing every wolf out there. Right now he's much more mellowed out towards Ionel but sadly sits in jail Vallaki while also recovering 😂💦

He doesn't seem to be quite freed from this entity though and I'm curious how this story is gonna continue as our party progresses in the plot of Curse of Strahd! This entity certainly has an eye on us now.

One may be surprised to find that in my opinion she doesn't hold any regards to who is "topping" or not- little of that matters to her. What really matters is how close you both are- she is all about the intimacy when it comes to this. Talkative all the way through, she will be affectionate with the sweetest words she can offer you. She uh... really doesn't make much of an effort to be understood by you if you are unfamiliar with the 'slang' she tends to use- you can ask about it later, after she is done with you.

Another thing she does, something much more predictable: is that she tends to bite you. There are no intentions of hurting you when she leans into your body and digs her teeth into your skin, it goes without saying that you will of course bleed, and, afterwards she earnestly and truthfully showers you in apologies for harming you! it's just.. your taste is truly intoxicating to her- you need to understand! She has said it herself in the unfiltered delirious state you both get to: she'd most definetly eat you, you tasting so perfect the way you do- if she wouldn't miss you so much if she did. Your company brightens her days, makes every little moment worth it, she wouldn't be capable of existing in a world without you now; sometimes she wonders how she made it so far without you to begin with.

Any compliments you may give her are met with shy looks to the side and comments for you to "oh stop it- you're much too sweet..", being truly invitations to get you to do it further.

I am going to do some infodumping about my silly lil 1776×Splatoon au because its taking over my brain ^_^

I'm also gonna make a specific tag for this: Splatoon 1776

Alr so number one, uhhhhhhh TJ

I've decided that's he's gonna be Agent 3 because like, why the fuck not?? Also, JA is gonna be Agent 8 so ^_^

So like, he lives a quiet life and enjoys the company of his intimates, RHL, his wife, Martha (yes, they're all gonna be legally adults), and a few others, depending on what I do with this au in future. He also plays the violin really well, to the point some believe that he should make music for a career, but he really doesn't want to. Too much attention and not such a quiet life

As an agent, he works hard, stays focused, and gets the job done!!!! He was really surprised when he saw JA in the deepsea metro, and even more surprised to see Abigail there. He has the scar from tartars hypnosis (I think that's what it's called? I'm not sure, sorry 😓😓)

He also mains the Octobrush

Next we have John Dickinson as Agent 4!!!!

Again, he was chosen for why the fuck not. Also, because I'm a strong believer that Parallel Canon is Agent 4, and one thing that happens in 1776 is that Adams and Dickinson fight.

He tends to just do his thing, ig (I'll have to ask @pingskumonium for help with Dickinson 😓) I just know that's he's friends with George Read, that he doesn't write straight, and that he disagreed with JA 🙏🙏

I think he'd either main the Splattershot or be a tenta missiles spammer with the Reef Lux 450

Next is JA as 8, as mentioned twice before ^_^

I chose him to be 8 because, well, their whole thing is like escaping the deepsea metro, saving the octolings, and defeating evils (eg, tartar, order). I've also took some creative liberties (with help from coroika) to put Abigail with him because he deserves his wife 🫶

So like, they got married and lived happily together in Octo Valley until she just. Disappeared. That's around when he encountered TJ (3) and Capn Cuttlefish, all three of which were attacked, and he woke up in the deepsea metro separated from 3, and everything I'm the Octo Expansion. Now, here's where more of my ideas come in. In 'Fake Plastic Station', Adams doesn't actually splat Abigail, who is the last sanitised octoling there, and instead spares her because he recognises her just ever so slightly. Also because she dropped her glasses and broke them after the ink jet (she has never used one until then), which the mechanism took as her being splatted. Therefore, the two return to the station together, as she no longer has the glasses (I'm like, 90% sure they have hypnosis powers. Even if they don't, this is my au so :333)

And the rest of Octo Expansion goes the way it does

Abigail is only sanitised because I wanted an excuse to put her in Side Order

JA would main Enperry Splat Dualies and Abigail would main the Octoshot. Change my mind 😋

Idate wears blue eyeliner to match with Tatsumiya's red eyeliner and because her favourite colour is ultramarine blue (群青色, gunjyou iro) 💙❤️

Matching couple eyeliner! 💗💞 I initially gave Idate blue eyeliner just cuz I thought it'd look nice since I chose blue as his theme colour to be the opposite of Tatsumiya...

Idate's theme colours are black, white, and blue 🖤🤍💙 Orca colours and blue

Tatsumiya's are white and red 🤍❤️ Oarfish colours

Takama's are black, white, and purple 🖤🤍💜 Purple, the colour of Poison... hehe.

Oh and I updated the shape of Idate's dorsal fin and his eye patch markings on his hair. Cuz I imagine Idate to be a Bigg's (Northern Hemisphere) Transient Orca (which are often seen near Japan too) 💗

I was trying to balance getting a good shape for his eye patch markings that look close to how IRL Transient orcas' markings look, and good shape language. So I took some creative liberties.

My fave animals are cats and orcas~~ Due to this God forsaken AU /pos

I gained a hobbyist interest in studying orcas and collecting orca plushies 🖤🤍

But the fact that ultramarine blue is Tatsumiya's fave colour makes my colour choice for Idate's eyeliner such a big brain move (all unintentional too) 🥰

Redrew the Idate and Tatsumiya doodles a bit.

Idate has darkened black gradient limbs since he's a demon, but I'll draw that later

My lines and line weights improved a lot since 2023 hehe

I mainly just redrew the face for now (adjusted the eyes and nose and mouth slightly) since they didn't really need major fixes

Oh and I fixed the alignment of Idate's earrings. He wears star and black sun ones (shaped like pointed void spirals), like a black Sun with pointed ends.

I'm planning to give Tatsu star and moon ones so they can match as the Sun/Moon themed couple.

My leitmotif/symbolism choices with them are intentional to match with the story in our WATGBS AU and to give them accessories that represent the other that they're connected with in their designs
