i might be having a "guy whos only seen the boss baby" moment rn but like ive read worm and im currently reading the Locked Tomb series and my brain is making Connections between the characters in them.

but like theres something kind of similar between my 2 favoritest girlfailures Harrowhark Nonagesimus and Taylor Parahumans. Like theyre both fucked up creatures, theyre both so deeply intense about literally everything, theyre SOPPING wet beasts,,,,,

also they both have some kind of sapphic situationship bs going on that i can appreciate.

they both exist in a very particular part of my brain that makes me VERY normal about them, i think they should meet. they would fucking hate each other but it would be v interesting imo. i want to put them in a get along shirt

On the bright side, I think Ianthe would've become an even bigger bastard if she had absorbed Corona instead.

Yes, Babs was an ass but he was dutiful, focused, unafraid to perform, confident, and he cared quite a lot about them even if his preference was clearly towards Corona, not to mention his abilities of swordsmanship and sewing, imagine all the other things he picked up in his training as cavalier, in his quest to be the best of the best.

I think the very worst thing is that now she'll become double obsessed with Coronabeth. We now have her two biggest fans wrapped in one...

Anyway, justice to Babs, he was the product of his house's ambition and probably tasted really yummy, and now is trapped forever inside Ianthe aka his personal hell.

I FINALLY read The Unwanted Guest yesterday! And by "read" I mean "did a reading", I got to do Ianthe, none if us had read the script beforehand, and we randomly improvised with chairs to follow the scene instructions, it was absolutely glorious.

ANYWAY. I cannot decide what is hotter: Palamedes in his terrible half-burnt suit and the cigarette he doesn't know why he's holding, or Ianthe with her maid/butler routine.

Believe me, no one is more horrified to realize this than me.

ALSOOO thinking abt this bit in ntn... the obvious revulsion ianthe has for the realisation that palamedes was right + she IS irreversibly part naberius + her immediate abandonment of naberius' body in response.... the whole thing reeks of denial like rest in peace to the sandy foundations she built her performative sense of self on but this wave is inevitable girl!! you can't uneat what you've already digested

#maybe the real unwanted guest was the cavalier we ate along the way #ianthe is soooo fascinating bc everything she says or does hinges on this persona shes cultivated to present to the world #like i dont think we've EVER seen her with her guard down or 'unscripted'. or had any real sense of whats going through her mind #shes never getting out of the labyrinth #but the way she reacts to palamedes' suggestion..... it feels VERY defensive. i bet something in there is shattering #very curious abt where her character will go in alecto.. i imagine she'll revert to propping herself on corona who she sees as perfectly-#predictable/controllable in order to reassert her crumbling identity. would LOVE if corona broke out of the mould ianthe forces her into #i think it would fully break ianthe to realise that not only does she not know herself but her perception of corona is an illusion too #like she does have her own ambitions and desires outside of ianthe!! theyve just never been separated long enough for her to realise them #god can u imagine if corona rejects whatever grand plan ianthe is piecing together for her. everything shes done for nothing #it smells lyctorish bc i cant imagine ianthe wanting to be a lyctor if corona wouldnt be forever at her side. but she wouldnt want-#corona's soul to be 'spoiled' by consuming anyone else and she also wouldnt want corona to become capable of necromancy #bc that would upset their power dynamic.. can u IMAGINE if corona convinced judith to eat her. itd be so over we're talking murder suicide #SOO MANY THOUGHTS i cant wait this long for alecto #.diaries #tlt #the unwanted guest spoilers

Oh boy who wouldn't want to write a hot smut fic between Harrow and Ianthe, but I'm afraid my heart couldn't take that much of sadness. If Harrowhark were to touch Ianthe Tridentarius (who we all know would melt to bottom in Harrow's hands btw) it would feel like a reward to her and it would feel like a divine punishment to her and honestly even Harrow herself would not be able to say which one it is. Nothing can prepare you for finally reaching a dream only to discover it is not what you thought it was. Or like that feeling when you want something so bad and ppl don't want you to have it so bad, when you finally have it all your expectations are already ruined and rotted.

I think it would break her heart less if Harrowhark were to ripp Ianthe's chest off and took her beating heart and ate it and left her to wither and die there at her feet than Harrowhark touching her but not seeing her through a girl she can't even REMEMBER, when it is Ianthe who is there in flesh and blood and has it all in for Harrow in her own stupid sick way, fighting against a fucking forgotten ghost.

I think that would be the final, cut-throat rejection
