The gifts for 2024 are 100 ml fragrance sprays. These are not perfumes, they are more like room sprays. According to Yana, they worked with professional perfumers and the fragrances were formulated with each character's "image" in mind! These each come with a unique bottle label, plus a ribbon and a little wooden charm with a matching character motif on it. You can soak the wooden charm with the fragrance and use it to diffuse the smell through a room.

Preorders are open until 10 March 2024.

(Warning: in the case that these contain alcohol, it will not be possible to send the fragrances overseas due to shipping regulations against flammable materials. The paper goods—the 2024 Valentine Gift messages—will still be able to be sent out.)

Each character has their own unique scent. The following are summaries of what each spray smells like overall (according to official posts), but each also has its own more detailed descriptions of the top, middle, and base notes on their individual website postings.

Hi, you seem to be very knowledgeable about scents and I'm very lost. I'm looking for something churchy or resembling an old library – do you know anything like that by chance? Or maybe where's a good place for me to start?

ah, you're in luck - those notes are very adored and thus often times used in niche perfumes. now, as always, two important factors are at play here: one, what you interpret as churchy/old library, and two, how those scents will behave on your skin. it's a hunt.

but! as a start! if we'd like to go into the churchy direction, the main notes would be frankincense and wood. now, as a sorcinelli devotee, I have to obviously start with him - but I will also expand beyond.

reliqvia, filippo sorcinelli - incense, smoke, sandalwood, pine, blackcurrant. deep, sacred, very heavy.

notre dame 15.4.2019, filippo sorcinelli - iris and neroli and lily of the valley mix with incense, wood, amber. gives off the depth of the burnt cathedral without using the smoke/tar notes.

lavs, filippo sorcinelli - greener take on incense, with rosewood and coriander playing a big role. tricky on the skin but wonderful for the lucky few.

quando rapita in estasi, filippo sorcinelli - incense and fir and peaches and tonka. a blend between church, library, and boudoir.

incense: avignon, comme des garcons - incense, myrrh, vanilla, and the zing of aldehydes. one of the more favoured fragrances in the branch, although not very churchy for me personally.

holy smoke, demeter - incense and spices in quite a pure form, with many similar scents available from the same perfumery, good for layering and achieving a perfect blend between church and library.

passage d'enfer extrême, l'artisan parfumeur - another beloved classic, one of my favourites due to the white florals. incense, sandalwood, and jasmine.

now, for more on the old library side:

spectral doorway, ds&durga - chalk and old books and the depth of musk, with slight greener sweetness. tough for me because of patchouli but definitely worth checking out, a fascinating scent.

forlorn embers & black reigns, toskovat' - tobacco, walnuts, mahogany, with a hint of sweet dried fruit. challenging, as all their scents, but definitely interesting.

storie 3, forfolks - leather and paper mixed with chocolate and freshness of citrus. not very well known but still deeply worth checking out.

wonderwood, comme des garcons - very woody, cedar and sandalwood and guaiac and cypress, with a pleasant vetiver and nutmeg warmth.

book, commodity - eucalyptus balanced by musk and velvet, with a lot of mellow woody notes. a classic for those seeking a library scent but tricky on the skin, can come off more herbal than librarian.

while I'm only recommending a couple of fragrances - and only those I've had a chance to check out myself - it's good to simply explore what fragrantica has catalogued based on notes, such as for example incense. they also have a lot of forum posts where people recommend their favourite scents and I wholeheartedly recommend exploring.

i got a eros pur femme perfume (and everyone complimented me so far for its smells 😋) so i got to ask, What do you think boys smell like? like natural smell or some deodorant/parfume?

🤭 lucky for you anon there's actually official blue lock perfumes lurking somewhere out there in the ether. i did some research for you, so here's a fragrance note compilation (with additional headcanons):

RIN ITOSHI

top notes: lemon, eucalyptus, lavender

middle notes: rosemary, geranium, vetiver, nutmeg

base notes: guaiac wood, herbal green, musk

hc: rin smells like lavender. notice how there's a period there and not a question mark...that's because it is a solid factual statement. i'm guessing the lavender came either from his laundry detergent or shampoo. currently leaning towards the latter. rin definitely uses women's shampoo.

SAE ITOSHI

top notes: thyme, eucalyptus, galbanum, bergamot

middle notes: rosemary, lavender, orange flower

base notes: cedarwood, hinoki, patchouli, sandalwood

hc: sae's hands perpetually smell like orange peels, and you cannot change my mind. it's a concentration exercise he does on long flights to keep his mind off the airplane anxiety. tries to peel them in a perfect spiral without breaking off any fragments. rin tried to copy him and failed miserably.

NAGI SEISHIRO

top notes: spearmint, lavender, vanilla

middle notes: peppermint, violet, carnation, muguet

base notes: heliotrope, amber, musk

hc: nagi is vanilla (in every sense of the word.) i'm surprised he even smells good. will give him some due credit and say that the spearmint comes from him using listerine mouthwash, so at least he keeps up with his dental hygiene.

REO MIKAGE

top notes: bergamot, eucalyptus, peppermint

middle notes: clove, rosemary, cedarwood

base notes: tonka beans, moss, musk, amber

hc: he smells like peppermint because his boyfriend smells like peppermint. enough said.

BAROU SHOUEI

top notes: lime, bergamot, plum

middle notes: clary sage, tea, ambrettolide, cedarwood

base notes: agarwood, amber, musk, incense

hc: barou's fragrance being limes was not on my 2024 bingo card, but i do agree with him smelling like plum tea and incense. i guess the lime scent just comes from him using cleaning spray all the time. probably the type to buy scented hand sanitizers too.

BACHIRA MEGURU

top notes: neroli, mint tea, honey

middle notes: petitgrain, jasmine tea, cyclamen, muguet

base notes: musk, white cedar, iris

hc: bumblebee bachira is canon. he smells so sweet. like childhood dreams and cheerios.

ISAGI YOICHI

top notes: lemon, orange, clary sage

middle notes: muguet, orchid, heliotrope

base notes: vetiver, crystal musk, white cedar, tolu balsam

hc: isagi smells refreshing amen. the only other scent i would add to this is jasmine. he seems more floral than citrusy to me.

CHIGIRI HYOMA

top notes: bergamot, lemon, lilac

middle notes: ylang ylang, mandarin, spike lavender, sandalwood

base notes: cedarwood, fruity citrus, musk, amber

hc: chigiri doesn't need perfume. he is the perfume. he smells like spring personified.

KUNIGAMI RENSUKE

top notes: galbanum, leafy green, lime

middle notes: nutmeg, lavender, violet, rosemary

base notes: tonka beans, musk, cedarwood, labdanum

hc: i feel like it's obvious to everyone that kunigami is going to have a significantly manlier scent cus every panel of him during the neo egoist league arc is literally just him sweating directly through his uniform. the only sane way i can describe this is that he would smell exactly like a pine tree forest. woody and evergreen. he and barou have similar scents because they both have gone through the same masculine rite of passage. smelling like lime = very manly.

As someone who is very much into (indie and niche) fragrance and Pirates of the Caribbean, here are my scent picks for some characters absolutely nobody asked for:

Elizabeth Swann: Juliette Has A Gun - Vanilla Vibes (Sea salt, natural vanilla absolute, orchid absolute, absolute brown musk, bezoin absolute, sandalwood, tonka bean)

This is basically just a salty vanilla perfume and I’m all here for it; it’s beachy, light and totally pre-Pirate King Elizabeth.

For more of an indie choice, I’d pick Death & Floral’s “I could never stay long enough on the shore” (sand, salty air, smoke, cold coastline). It’s been a while since I’ve smelled this one but it feels fitting. But tbh, any white floral scent would also fit CotBP Elizabeth - so maybe something like Cloon Keen’s Lá Bealtaine.

Pirate King Elizabeth would absolutely rock something challenging like Beaufort’s Terror & Magnificence (birch tar, black pepper, saffron, incense, tobacco, papyrus, haitian vetiver, myrrh, labdanum, benzoin and pebbles).

Will Turner: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab - Asleep in the Deep (black plum, sea salt, opium tar accord, labdanum, and indigo benzoin)

Basically the dark and heavy counterpart to Elizabeth’s Vanilla Vibes, truly smells like you’re on the Dutchman in between realms.

Jack Sparrow: For Jack, I feel like anything remotely boozy with rum notes works, but if I had to name one scent, I’d pick Stranger Perfumery’s Cigar Rum (raisin, dried fruits (prune and cherry), rum absolute, mandarin, amber, tobacco, oakwood, vetiver, resins, labdanum absolute, seaweed absolute). Maybe layer that with a dirt single note or Fantôme - Bune (damp subterranean air, nagarmotha, smooth cave walls, davana, a cold marble altar, & glittering green dragon scales) for authenticity lol.

Hector Barbossa: Solstice Scents - Headmaster (Apple, bourbon, oak, cedar, pipe tobacco, applewood, amber, spices)

I just felt like I needed to pick a spicy, woody scent with apple notes in it. But any dark aquatic works too.

James Norrington: I associate James with any light aquatic or clean scents (at least when he’s not in his Scruffington Era), so I’d choose something like Solstice Scent’s Gulf Breeze (Saltwater, sand, seashells, sea oats, rain, ambergris (vegan accord).

Cutler Beckett: Histoires de Parfums - 1740 (bergamot, mugwort, patchouli, coriander, cardamom, cedar, birch, labdanum, leather, vanilla, elemi, helichrysum)

Idk, this is just giving off Cutler Beckett energy. It’s boozy, it’s rich, it’s dramatic.

And somehow The House on Widow’s Hill (brandy, old oak paneling, dusty thick carpets, a thread of incense & a roaring fire in the hearth) by Pulp Fragrance also fits. That one’s basically brandy, smoke and dusty carpets in a bottle. On second thought, that might also work for Papa Swann.

I also feel like a tea scent would suit Beckett, but only if it’s a bit heavier, so maybe something like Gris Charnel by bdk (fig, black tea, cardamom essence, iris absolute, bourbon vetiver, indian sandalwood, tonka bean absolute). …But I haven’t smelled that one in a while too.

Davy Jones: Zoologist - Squid (Pink Pepper, Solar Salicylate, Incense, Black Ink Accord, Salty Accord, Opoponax, Ambergris, Benzoin, Musk)

Pretty self-explanatory. On my skin, it’s very musk-forward though.

Ian Mercer: Beaufort - Tonnerre (smoke, gunpowder, blood, brandy, sea spray and citrus)

…Yeah, I guess that one’s also pretty self-explanatory.

What do ikeprince suitors smell like? Pt. 1

Have you ever wondered how our pookies would smell or what perfumes woulds they wear if they were real? Because I do, and it almost keeps me awake at night. But don't worry, I'm here to satisfy your curiosity. I've assigned each IkePri suitor scents and perfumes based on information from the routes and, of course, mainly on the vibes they give me.

Sariel Noir

The Palace Devil definitely wears a complex yet sophisticated perfume, with a fresh and spicy top note and a warm, woody base.

Notes: mint, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, vetiver and tonka beans.

Our Haughty Jingler Jangler is definitely tied to the ocean (and alcohol). I feel like he would go for something fresh and spiced with a sophisticated warm base. Also, he's a bougie boy, so he has a lot of perfumes. He doesn't have a favourite perfume, because he loves the layering technique, he is unique and doesn't want anyone smelling as good as him, period.

Notes: Ron, mandarin, bergamot, mint, nutmeg, cardamom, amber, musk, ambrette seed, sea salt and sea moss.

This pookie The conqueror beast smells like the blood and fear from his enemies, just kidding. He probably likes winter fresh like scents with some herbal and floral notes on top of a woody base. Something that dries out warm and kind of sweet.

Notes: Sweet basil, fennel, neroli, winter daphne, blacktea, rum, amber and vanilla.

We still don't know much about this dorayaki lover kitty (Doraemon is that you?) so this is just based on assumptions. We know he is competitive, he seems elegant and sophisticated at first sight and has stolen the hearts of the fandom with those feline eyes. So I feel like he goes for citrusy and fresh scents, with a bit of spice an sweetnes on top of a warm and sensual base.

We also don't know much about Tanzanite's God. But we know that he is a God, and ethereal, and beautiful, an slay, and a God, and mysterious, and a God, maybe broke (but we still love him), and he is a God. We can't forget that he is a God, 'cause he is a God, just in case you didn't know he is a God. He definitely smells divine, aromatic and warm, maybe kind of spicy with white florals. He gives me vibes that he has a huge collection of arabian perfumes, 'cause he a sassy.

Notes: ylang-ylang, lotus flower, bergamot, jasmine, violet, frankincense, amber, oud, musk, tea, tonka beans and vanilla.

Again, we still don't know much about him, but we do know that our cold boy is a firm and strict protector of law and justice. I don't know about you, but I feel like he smells like a breath in a snowy mountain at midwinter, refreshing, almost freezing. But he is elegant, discreet and sophisticated. He might seem cold but I'm sure he is warm and cozy on the inside (and a little freak iykyk). If I had to describe his scent vibe in a sentence it would probably be "like drinking a hot chocolate in front of a fireplace after a morning in the middle of the snowy mountains of Northern Europe."

Notes: Snow, cypress, honeysuckle, cardamom, bergamot, iris, lavender, clove, vetiver, cedarwood, leather, cinnamon and chocolate.
