Keratin Treatment Prices and Salon Services in Lucknow: What You Need to Know
Tumblr media
In the bustling city of Lucknow, where tradition meets modernity, the quest for impeccable beauty and wellness is ever-evolving. Among the myriad of beauty treatments available, keratin treatments have become increasingly popular for those seeking sleek, shiny, and manageable hair. However, with various salons offering this service, understanding the cost and finding the right salon can be a daunting task. This comprehensive guide will delve into the costs associated with keratin treatments in Lucknow, explore salon services in the city, and help you make an informed decision for your hair care needs.
What is a Keratin Treatment?
Keratin is a natural protein found in hair, skin, and nails, and it plays a crucial role in maintaining the hair’s strength and resilience. A keratin treatment is a professional hair care procedure designed to smooth and straighten the hair, reduce frizz, and add a glossy shine. This treatment involves applying a keratin-infused formula to the hair, which is then sealed in using heat. The result is often smoother, shinier, and more manageable hair for several months.
Factors Influencing Keratin Treatment Costs in Lucknow
The cost of a keratin treatment in Lucknow can vary significantly based on several factors:
Salon Reputation and Location:
High-end salons in upscale areas may charge more due to their premium services and prime locations. Conversely, local or less renowned salons might offer more competitive pricing.
Hair Length and Volume:
The length and volume of your hair can impact the cost. Longer and thicker hair typically requires more product and time, leading to a higher price.
Product Quality:
Salons using high-quality, professional-grade keratin products might charge more. These products often provide better results and longer-lasting effects.
Additional Services:
Some salons include additional services like haircuts, conditioning treatments, or blowouts as part of the keratin treatment package. These extras can influence the overall cost.
Experience of the Stylist:
Experienced and skilled stylists may charge more for their services, but their expertise can lead to superior results.
Average Cost of Keratin Treatment in Lucknow
On average,  keratin treatment cost in Lucknow ranges from ₹4,000 to ₹12,000. Here’s a rough breakdown:
Basic Treatment:
₹4,000 - ₹6,000. This typically includes the keratin application and basic aftercare.
Mid-Range Treatment:
₹6,000 - ₹8,000. This often includes additional services like a haircut or conditioning treatment.
Premium Treatment:
₹8,000 - ₹12,000. Premium packages might use high-end products and offer a more luxurious experience.

Tips for Choosing the Right Salon

Check online reviews and ratings to gauge the quality of service. Personal recommendations from friends and family can also be valuable.
Consultation:
Schedule a consultation to discuss your hair type, the treatment process, and pricing. A good salon will provide detailed information and answer all your questions.
Check Credentials:
Ensure that the salon employs certified professionals who are trained in the latest techniques and use high-quality products.
Compare Prices:

Before You Go- Carol Danvers x Daughter! Reader
Tumblr media
Warning: angst, infinity war spoilers, endgame spoilers, character deaths, fluff
I also changed up endgame because- it hurts so enjoy :)
Word Count: 985
When nick paged Carol, she expected to see him or even you there. When she arrived, she saw a little group of people. “Where’s fury?”
They then started explaining how half the people got snapped away and turned to dust. She then remembered how she left you with nick while she went to save a world and that’s when she couldn’t breathe. She started hyperventilating and crying. Natasha ran over and tried to talk to her. “Hey! What’s going on? Can you tell me?” Carol looked up at her. “I left my daughter with fury. I don’t know where she is.” Natasha looked at her somber. “I could check.” Steve cleared his throat. “Our friend, tony, he’s stuck in space. He fought thanos on titan shortly before he came to wakanda. Carol looked between nat and Steve. “I’ll be back.” Then she took off.
They realized she was back when they heard a violent shaking. They all walked outside and saw Carol bring the ship down that had tony and nebula in it. Pepper ran up and hugged tony. Carol gave nat a smile and they all walked inside. Natasha then started naming the people that had been snapped away. Carol was looking for you.
She looked away for one second and when she looked back and her world came crashing down. She saw a picture of you plastered on the screen. Her eyes started watering and she looked away. “Let’s get this son of a bitch.” Steve said. “How is it going to be any different than last time?” Hulk said. “If we do this, how do we know it's gonna end any differently than it did before?" Steve said “Because before you didn't have me." Carol replied. “Hey, new girl? Everybody in this room is about that superhero life. And if you don't mind my asking, where the hell have you been all this time?" Rhodey asked her. She turned around and looked at him “There are a lot of other planets in the universe, and unfortunately, they didn't have you guys.” She said. They had found out that he used the stones again and set off to find him and use the stones to bring everyone back.
When they got there, Carol ambushed him and put him in a headlock. Then, the rest of the avengers came in and questioned him about the stones. He explained he used the stones to get rid of them. Thor then sliced his head off. “What, I went for the head.” Carol looked down at his face and felt guilt. She promised to protect you and she couldn’t even do that. She couldn’t save you when you were terrified. She couldn’t hold you and say it would be alright.
-5 years later-
It had been a full 5 years since the avengers tried to save the world again and failed. But, a new opportunity cane knocking on their door. Quite literally.
Scott has been in the quantum realm when everyone hit snapped and he was in there for years but it felt like seconds to him. He proposed the idea of time travel to bring everyone back.
That’s exactly what they did. Tony had figured out a way to time travel and they each went back in time to get different stones then return them when they were finished.
When everyone came back, they had noticed that Clint was missing. The look on Natashas face said it all.
They made the iron gauntlet and Bruce snapped, after Thor tried to, and effectively brought everyone back.
But 2014 thanos was on their tail. He blew up the compound. Scott saved Rhodey and rocket by turning into giant man (don’t be a hater, that’s what i’m calling him).
Thor, Steve and Tony started fighting thanos then he called for backup. All the outraiders were lined up against Steve. Just then, Steve com came on and sams voice came through. “Cap, on your left.” And portals started opening with everyone who got snapped, including you, and people who had come to help. You came out of the portal with Valkyrie. She tossed you a sword and gave you a small smile. “Avengers....Assemble” and the fight began. You were slashing outraiders, left and right, when you saw Wanda lift thanos up. You thought she was gonna kill him. Just then, his ship came again and readied fire but it was blown up in seconds. Just then, your mom came down. She hadn’t seen you yet.
After thanos had gotten the gauntlet, Carol flew over and held his hand open, blocking him from using the stones. Just then you took the sword Valkyrie gave you and threw it at his back. He hissed and turned around to see a sword sticking out of his back. Carol turned over to see you, with a big smile on your face.
After they had snapped thanos away, costing Steve (what!?) his life, Carol ran up to you and gave you a hug, sobbing into your shoulder. “Nice haircut.” You said when you pulled away. She smiled and pushed you playfully. “Nice throw.” You shrugged. “Learned from the best. Papa fury.” You both smiled at each other and gave each other a hug again. “I’m sorry I left you. You must’ve been so scared.” You sighed. “I was but I was only in that place for like 5 minutes so, I guess it was ok.” Carol looked at you and tried to rub the dirt off your face. “Mom, stop!” She smirked. “I hope you realize your coming with me from now on.” You sighed. “I figured that much. You haven’t seen me in 5 years? Or has it been more?” She sighed. “It’s been too long, Lieutenant. Too long.”

“Dance with me.” For brucethor please!
Bruce didn’t dance. Ever. For all of his illustriously short career as a human being, Bruce had danced probably once, and that was at his Aunt Rebecca’s wedding. When he was three.
After that, there was no dancing. A little something along the lines of “my dad fucking sucks and I hate him a lot, he’s too controlling” etc., with added trauma blah blah blah.
“You going to homecoming this year?” Tony asks. Tony Stark is someone who Bruce never thought he’d be friends mainly because a.) Tony Stark is not afraid to act like an asshole to literally anybody, and b.) Most of the rumors are not true and started by Tony himself, who likes to weed out the people he doesn’t want ot hang out with.
“No,” Bruce says. “I have a college exam to study for.”
“How many are you taking, fifty? There’s not that much. Besides, you want to go to Culver and they’re practically offering to pay you a livable salary to go there.”
“No college pays a livable salary to students, they’re delusional,” Bruce says with a shrug. “But I want to make sure my back-up colleges will accept me as well.”
“Just apply for a school in Florida, they take anyone. Case in point, Justin Hammer got offered a place at Florida State.”
“I’ll check that one off my list.”
Tony laughs, taking another cracker out of his lunch.
“But seriously, you should go to homecoming. Everyone does, and it’s your senior year. You should get some new experiences in besides studying for a new biology course that you’re taking online.”
“Harvard let one out, I think I might apply for that.”
“Ugh, you’re so boring.”
“You’re the one who sits with me at lunch every day,” Bruce reminds him. “I’m so sure that Bucky Barnes would just be dying to have you sit with him. Or just be with him.”
Tony turns to see Bucky staring at him across the table.
“That’s ridiculous. He’s probably looking at the lunch menu for tomorrow. Speaking of, if it’s cheese pizza I’m going to barf.” Bruce rolls his eyes, but doesn’t bother to tell Tony that Bucky thinks he built the universe.
“You’re a millionaire, I’m sure Jarvis could get you some caviar or whatever it is our government officials eat.”
“I’m not part of the government, darling.”
“You’re made of money, you have more sway than the president,” Bruce says.
Tony thinks it over, humming.
“True. Think I could get sustainable energy bills passed if I make the conservatives think it’s their idea?”
“Possibly. You’d have to dumb it down way more than you did for Rumlow.”
“Shoot me,” Tony moans, slumping down on the table.
Bruce snorts, glancing to the clock. He starts gathering up his things and taking all the trash and recycling to the correct bins.
They walk together, and Bruce tries very hard not to see Thor barging down the stairs, laughing loudly with Brunnhilde Valkyrie and Carol Danvers as they go for the next lunch shift.
“I think Thor doesn’t have a date to homecoming,” Tony says. “And you’d be great arm candy.”
“About as good as Red Vines,” Bruce mutters.
“Your hatred of that candy knows no bounds.”
“It shouldn’t even be legally called candy, I think anyone who eats it is a freak of nature.”
“Very true. We should banish them to Siberia.”
Tony and Bruce don’t share the next class. Tony is taking some anthropology class solely so he can have a class with both Rhodey and Pepper. Bruce doesn’t know why people think Tony is this suave asshole who has no friends, because Tony is about the most affectionate guy on the planet.
The last hour of the day is Bruce’s favorite. It’s a cinema class, one that’s required this year because Bruce has exhausted the school of every possible science credit and math credit.
“You need to take some arts,” Bruce’s counselor, Mrs. May said. Melinda May is a very terrifying woman who has deceptively nice desk decorations that usually indicate a woman who likes to talk about tea. Mrs. May asked Bruce if he knew how to throat-punch someone, and if he would like to learn.
“Um, how is that relevant?”
“It’s not. But you do well in school, it’s clear you care about your grades. I have nothing to discuss with you since you’ve done college applications early and applied for financial aid and scholarships. You’re basically a very responsible eighteen year old. So, do you want to learn how to throat-punch someone?”
He does learn, and he also learns that he needs at least one more art credit.
But the cinema class is one of the easiest classes. Everyone knows that it’s basically just watching a movie, writing a one-page reflection, and you occasionally get to nap. Bruce usually finishes up some applications, gets a snack in, and stares at Thor.
Not in that order. Sometimes he needs to stare at Thor first.
Thor is a very attractive person. He is smart, compassionate, and has very nice arms. He also knows how to care for long hair. This is a plus in many people’s books, Bruce’s included.
Thor loves watching the movies and talking with friends in low tunes. Bruce sometimes gets involved in this discussion if they’re watching an interesting movie. Bruce likes that, that Thor turns and asks him what he thinks.
The movie they’re watching currently is a musical, something Bruce rarely likes because he was forced to take a theater class last year, and now he legally can’t be around theater kids if he wants inner peace.
It’s The Sound of Music. Bruce likes looking at the scenery.
“Bruce, what do you think about it?” Thor asks.
“Um…I really like the scenery. And Julie Andrews is always a good choice.”
“I agree.”
It’s quiet after that, until the DVD player shorts out and the teacher runs to the IT department, which probably won’t do something unless they pull Tony out of his class to fix it.
The conversations flow evenly over the classroom, and Bruce focuses back in on his application for a new science course for the summer. If he can fit in one more credit hour, it shortens his college by one year, meaning he can graduate in three years instead of four, and then look onto graduate school.
“What about homecoming?” Sif asks Thor. “I’m taking Jane, we’re shopping for suits soon. Who are you taking?”
“I’m not sure,” Thor says. “Haven’t found anyone since Val decided to take Helen.”
Bruce perks up a little bit. He doesn’t know why he does, because it’s not like he wants to go to homecoming anyway.
Well, he wouldn’t mind it. Sure he’d need to buy a too-expensive shirt, but then he could use that shirt again for any official business meetings when he applies for internships, so–
“Bruce, what are you doing?”
Bruce blinks, looking at Thor.
“Um, right now I’m trying to sign up for a new biology class, so uh…”
“I meant for homecoming.”
“Oh!” Bruce is surprised. “Um, I don’t know. I was thinking about staying, but I’m not sure yet. I heard that Pepper’s really trying hard this year to get better decorations.”
“Dude, then it’d be totally worth it,” Sif says. “If Pepper’s in charge, that means this homecoming won’t be the fiasco it was last year.”
Last year, they did not have a good homecoming, Bruce heard. Pepper had an extended leave due to personal circumstances. She’s basically the backbone of the planning committee, and she had not started seriously training the newbie, Darcy. The homecoming the worst in existence, especially since the principal chose the music and all of it was from the early 2000s.
“I might, I don’t know. I have no idea what Tony’s doing. He wants me to go, but I think Bucky might ask him.”
“Barnes thinks Tony Stark hung the world on its axis,” Thor says, grinning. “But hey, you could always come with us.”
“Um…okay. That’d be great.”
So Bruce has homecoming plans.
Tony doesn’t know about this until a week later, when they’re sitting at lunch together and Tony is telling him all about the homecoming ask that he had gotten from Barnes, which was very ridiculous and completely made Tony cry when he got home.
(Not that Tony would ever admit to this, but he snapchatted Bruce at least fifteen different videos of what were essentially keysmashes in vocal chords.)
“So, have you changed your mind about homecoming?”
“Um, Thor asked me to be part of his group.”
Tony’s eyes bug out.
“Thor asked you out?!”
“What? No!” Bruce says. “He just told me I could join the group. So I need a shirt.”
“If you decide to wear that ugly yellow one your grandmother got you two years ago, I will literally kill you.”
“It’s not that ugly.”
“That yellow is from 1978 corporate business in Milwaukee, it’s disgusting.”
“I’ll be sure to find something else, then,” Bruce says dryly. “Maybe eggplant purple.”
“I will make sure you go in Versace if you keep this up.”
But Bruce goes shopping Friday afternoon with Pepper and Tony and Rhodey, who all have looks in mind.
“What are you thinking about, Bruce?” Rhodey asks.
“Um…I don’t know. A shirt? Maybe a tie?”
“You’re not a tie guy,” Pepper answers. “We’ll find you a nice shirt that compliments your eyes. Also, how do you feel about a haircut.”
“What kind of haircut?”
“A good one, obviously,” Tony scoffs.
So they sign him up for a hair appointment Saturday morning, and they look for nice shirts.
Bruce will not dare wear anything that’s bright, like red or yellow or god-forbid the dark green shirt that Tony said made him look “amazing.”
“That’s just…no,” Bruce says. “Green really isn’t my color.”
“I think it fits you,” Tony says. “But whatever.”
Bruce actually starts texting Thor, who is very funny and knows the memes that he likes. They talk about dinner plans for homecoming, and what restaurant to go to.
“I just don’t want there to be a lot of people, you know?” Thor says at lunch. Bruce and Tony have started to merge their two groups of people now, who get along quite well after the initial groupchat make via Tony.
“Yeah, me either,” Bruce says. “I really don’t want to run into someone like Rumlow.”
“Well, what about fixing a dinner at someone’s house?” Pepper asks. “That way, it’s more cost-effective.”
Tony agrees to host it because he and Rhodey are wanting to try a new pasta recipe and they can get the ingredients in bulk.
“Did you end up picking out a shirt?” Thor asks. “I know that you hated the green one. I thought that looked good.”
“You did?” Bruce asks, trying very hard not to blush.
He failed.
“Yeah,” Thor says. “Made the eyes pop. But you didn’t like it, so it doesn’t matter. What color are you wearing?”
“Um, purple. A light one, though. Not anything that’s gross or anything like that.”
(Sometimes, Bruce really wishes that he could just. Speak normally in front of his crush. Actually, all the time.)
“Cool. I bet you’ll look handsome.”
“Thanks,” Bruce manages to get out, taking a sip of water. “And you’re gonna look great too. I mean, you always do, but like with a suit it’s different so–”
“You think I look great?”
“I’d be a fool not to,” Bruce answers automatically.  Then immediately regrets it because who the fuck says that????????
Tony gives him a look when he gives him a ride home.
“You’re in too deep,” Tony says.
“Quit quoting Sum 41 at me.”
“Then quit avoiding the subject,” Tony says. “And I wasn’t quoting Sum 41. I just think you’re majorly crushing on Thor and you’re not going to do anything about it.”
“Why would I?” Bruce asks. “This is the last year of high school, and he’s probably going to go somewhere else for college. You know I don’t like long distance.”
“You don’t mind long distance, you do it all the time,” Tony says. “You push people away because you can’t imagine people wanting to care for you.”
“Since when did you pass psychology with an A?”
“Since I made Freud my bitch. I don’t wanna make you mad, Bruce, but I still think you should at least try with Thor. You deserve it.”
Bruce sits in the car, sipping on his water.
“I’ll consider it.”
And he will. Because despite Tony usually making a joke out of everything and giving Bruce very useless advice all the time, he does have some moments of clarity. This is one of them.
Tony’s one of the few people who knows why Bruce studies so much and wants to go far away from his house and why. Tony doesn’t blame him, because Tony hates being in the same room as his father and is uncomfortable when people show him affection without wanting something. But they’re both getting better.
Besides. Bruce has a little bit of a feeling that usually people don’t say that they liked you in the green shirt if there’s not something there. But he’ll wait for the dinner.
Bruce is glad that Pepper told him not to get a tie, he’s having trouble buttoning the shirt itself. He doesn’t know why he’s so nervous, or why he hopes to god that he doesn’t get pit stains on the shirt. He put on deodorant six times throughout the day, and nothing has happened, but he’s nervous.
He gets to Tony’s half an hour early to help get the dishes and silverware out, and also hopefully be convinced that things are going to be fine.
Dinner is nice. Thor sits next to Bruce specifically, and Bruce even gets so bold as to laugh out loud and ask if Thor will save him a dance.
“For you? Of course,” Thor says.
The dance looks beautiful. Pepper is making sure everything is good, make sure the sophomores deny Tony’s requests to play the most obscure songs he can think of, and that no one is getting too drunk with the drinks they smuggled in.
Thor dances easily, while it takes Bruce a little bit to warm up.
“Time for the couples dance!” A teacher announces cheerily.
Bruce thinks to step back, watching as Bucky shyly takes Tony’s hand and leads him out.
He’s surprised when he gets a tap on his shoulder.
“Would you, ah, care for a dance? With me?” Thor asks. He seems nervous. Bruce blinks.
“Um, shit. Yeah.”
Bruce is not eloquent, but he feels it as Thor takes him around the room. He grins as he looks at Thor.
“So. A couples dance. That mean anything?”
“If you want it to,” Thor says. “I’d like to take you out on a date sometime, if you’re interested.”
“I am,” Bruce says. “Most definitely I am. Besides, you said I still need to try the bakery by the bookstore off fiftieth.”
“That can be our first destination.”
They smile at each other, and for the moment everything is perfect. They don’t know what the future holds, but that’s okay.

And ML MCU Crossover
IT ALL STARTED WITH A SNAP.
Chapter 5
The seven adults of the Miraculous team looked at Steve and the man in the strange suit with wide eyes. What did they mean? Could they still get their friends and family back? What had happened?
“Hey! You all must be the kids Nat told us about. I am Scott, although you must know me as Antman? No? Its ok, well now you do.” He said. The team looked at Steve, as if to ask what was happening. “Well, Scott here had the brilliant idea of time travel. We go back in time to where the stones were before Thanos got them, and undo the snap.” he explained. “How exactly are we gonna do that?” Luka asked. “Ever heard of Quantum Science?” Scott asked. Adrien perked up at this, and Scott explained the plan to them.
“So, wanna join us? We have the teams and the equipment but we need more hands to help us from this time.” Steve asked. The miraculous team looked at one another. “Team discussion. Tell Wong to come in and help yourselves to the macarons. We will be right back.” Marinette told them.
The seven of them stepped out of the bakery. “Are you sure this will help? There are so many risks.” Kagami said. “Its been 5 years. If Daddy saw Paris as it is now he wouldnt have liked it.” Chloe chimed in. “Its risky, yes, but I miss my family. Sometimes I wonder why I didn’t vanish as well.” Alya said sadly. “My dudes. I think thats why we didn’t vanish. Fate. It knew that we were meant to help get everyone back. To fight this. We cant give up! If this is a way to get everyone back, then I am willing to do it.” Nino reasoned. Marinette nodded in agreement. “I agree. But guys, it’s our choice.” she said. Luka smiled, “If this means I get to see Jules and Mom again, then let’s do it.” The others smiled back at him
Marinette held out her fist in the middle of the group, “Pound it?” she asked.
“Pound it.”
The team went back into the bakery and told the three heroes (who by the way were pigging on the macarons) that they were ready to help. Wong opened the portal to the Avengers facility again, and they all stepped in. They were greeted with hugs from Rhodey, Nat, Rocket (who hugged only Plagg because he had grown fond of the little guy) and Bruce, while Nebula waved at them. There was another man standing a few feet away, with a funny haircut. “Hey kids. When Nat and Rhodey told me about y’all, I refused to believe them. Now I do.” He said, smiling faintly. “Hawkeye.” Alya said. The man nodded, “Clint Barton, actually, but that’s ok with me as well.” he said.
“All right, Enough with the pleasentaries. Chop chop. Lets get to work.” Tony Stark came in, followed by a rather...healthy figure. “Thor?” Chloe asked. Bruce nodded at her “What happened to him? He used to be hotter than Adrikins!” she exclaimed. “Hey!” Adrien said. “Why thank you Miss Bee!” Chloe curtsied and stalked away, probably to see if Nat needed help with anything. Over the years, the two ladies had bonded over their lonely childhoods, and now were inseparable. Nat had also become kind of like a mother figure to the team. Out of all the avengers, only she and Rhodey (sometimes Steve and Bruce) had reached out to them, offering help and advice.
Adrien, Nino, Luka and their Kwamis helped Stark, Rocket and Bruce build the quantum tunnel, while the girls helped Nebula with the suits and the science behind it all. Marinette even used her designer brain to help make the time travel suits more durable under whatever harsh conditions they may face while time travelling. The avengers’ original suits too got a durability upgrade. Clint went for a test ride, which was successful, and then they sat down to help find which times to travel to. Thor rambled with about the reality stone, and slowly, they narrowed down where each and every Infinity stones were.
The Avengers suited up, while the Miraculous team manned the technical part of the machine. Steve gave his speech, and Nat smiled at them, “See you in a minute!” She said, before the helmets covered their faces. Adrien went to the station and took control. “Countdown in 5...4...3...2...1.” The tunnel lit up, and the Avengers went in, and were out in a minute, just like Nat said. But where was she? She had gone to Vormir with Clint to get the soul stone. “Clint, where’s Nat?” They heard Bruce ask.
Chloe climbed the steps and asked the same question, “Where is she?” The broken look on his face said it all. They had lost Nat. They had lost another mother figure. Chloe collapsed on her knees and shook. Kagami went to her and rubbed her back soothingly, allowing her to break down fully.
Later, the seven stood in a room, watching as five of the Avengers; Stark, Steve, Clint, Thor and Bruce spoke near the lake. Chloe sat on the bed, sipping tea, covered in a blanket with Luka and Kagami beside, consoling her. Alya and Marinette stood near the window, while Nino and Adrien sat on the couch. “Was it really worth it? We got the stone. But at what cost? We lost Nat.” Kagami said, tears in her eyes. “Nat sacrificed herself for that goddamn stone. Now its upto us to make sure she didn’t die in vain.” Marinette said. “Thanos is lucky he’s dead, or else I definitely would have cataclysmed him.” Adrien said, angrily. Just then, they saw Bruce throw a bench into the water. They then knew what they had to do.
Bruce, Tony and Rocket had successfully managed to put the stones in another gauntlet, and after much argument, Bruce had volunteered to do the snap. They all transformed. Ladybug and Queen Bee rotated their weapons to create a shield standing in front of Thor, Rocket and Steve, while Chat did the same with his baton as he stood in front of Antman. Carapace created a shelter for himself, Rena Rouge, and Ryuuko. With a small nod at them, Bruce closed his eyes and put the Gauntlet on, taking in all the damage the stones gave him. He then snapped his fingers, and for a moment, Ladybug felt weak on her knees. She fell down, and Chat caught her. “It worked.” she whispered. “What was destroyed has been created again.” she told them. Scott walked out and confirmed Ladybug’s statement, while Clint was speaking to who they assumed was his wife on the phone with tears in his eyes.
Then, all of a sudden, the ground beneath them trembled, and they were thrown onto the ground with a huge force. All that was the Avengers facility was now dust.
A/N: Whoo. That was a long ass chapter. But I had the idea and didn’t want to forget it so I wrote it. New chapter will probably come tomorrow. Till then, Enjoyyyy!

endgame rant
because i have a lot of feelings and need to get em out *SPOILERS*
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
during the movie i enjoyed it so much but afterwards the more i though about it the more flaws i found.
- first of all, natasha noooooo!!!!!!!! i was bawling during that scene cuz i new what was gonna happen and it hurt so much. even the big guy sitting next to me was crying. And i guess it makes sense clint and nat were the ones to go to vormir considering the soul stone requires a sacrifice and they are the ones with the strongest bond in the original avengers and nat obviously wasnt going to let clint die because of his family. but it does kinda pisses me off they killed off the only female og avenger especially when she admitted she finally had found her family and she deserved to be in the ICONIC female assemble.
- steve, steve, steve... most of the movie was okay for him but what was that at the end???? he didnt even said goodbye to bucky lmao. Also him picking up the hammer, although it resulted in an epic fight, felt really weird, like out of place. He really his america’s ass though.
- tony, tony TONY !!!!!!! nope no no no. he had everything he ever wanted, he was finally happy and then he decided to be his selfless self one last time and now im hurt. Sorry but it should have been steve. i mean, he’s the one who didnt have anything left, he’s the one who didnt moved on, he’s the soldier. so IM PISSED OK, not at you tony, u i love 3000. also the scene with his father was so bittersweet and omg he said he’s name was howard potts!!!
- carol ! wtf was that??? she was badass and beautiful and i love her (the haircut !!!!! the pantsuit at the funeral !!!!!) but the way they used her seemed a bit easy, like “oh no tony and nebula are stuck, let’s bring carol” and “oh no everybody is getting shot, let’s bring carol” and it makes me wonder what kind of adversaries they’re gonna give her in the next movies... but otherwise each time she fought thanos was so epic (the headbutt !!!!) and when the canons started shooting at the sky and everybody was like “????” -> poetic cinema ! But im kinda disappointed we didnt get to see a tony/carol friendship and she didnt even interact with fury, i hope we get some peter/carol mentorship in the future.
- yay sam ! im glad he’s the one getting the shield also when i heard “on your left” i almost screamed.
- when all the dusted appeared through the portals was so fucking EPIC !!!! and the big “assemble” gave me chills.
- thor omfg! it made me laugh during the movie, not gonna lie i couldnt stop but now it does feel kinda cheap. like marvel was “oh he was funny in ragnarok, let’s make him the joke in this one”.
- valkyrie !!!!!!! you’re doing amazing sweetie and it’s what you deserve. But what happened to her accent?? in ragnarok i even thought tessa was english but in this one it sounded really bad.
Scott and rocket must be protected at all costs Nebula was badass af, 10/10 I think this was the first time i actually liked clint Wanda was on fire!!!! Did shuri even have one (1) line? smh Peter, as usual, was a precious bean. always introducing himself Was joe russo the lgbtq character we were promised? lmao Pepper potts in the suit !!!!!! And i think that’s all... so yeah i have a lot of feelings, not all good but overall i guess it was a decent conclusion to the last 10 years... except for tony, i wanted him to take over stan lee and make the cameos !

Accountability
Title: Accountability Square: K2 - Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier Warning: coffee shop AU, unrepentant fluff Pairing: Tony Stark/Bucky Barnes Summary: Tony wants to have a stable relationship by New Year’s Eve. Well, Bucky’s here to hold him accountable. Link: A03 Word Count: 2,199 For @tonystarkbingo and @aoifelaufeyson
A/n - not responsible for tooth decay.
“Coffee, Black, extra, extra large. And put a few shots in it,” Bucky’s first customer of the day said.
“Resolution?”
“Ton- what?”
“What’s your resolution, for New Years,” Bucky asked.
“You’re going to write that on my cup? You know you’re going to have people in here fighting for the cup of ‘go to the gym more’ by ten a.m.”
“It’s called accountability,” Bucky said, loftily. “If everyone sees you in the coffee shop with -- what did you say it was?”
“I didn’t. But-- I’d-- I had a shitty night, and my New Year’s kiss was a joke. I’d like to have a real relationship, this year.”
“Get a significant other,” Bucky wrote dutifully on the cup, then Bl, xxg 2sh on the side under it.
He handed the cup off to Sam, who started pulling shots and getting the drink line moving. Wanda rang up the sale, and Bucky went on to the next customer, who, true to SO’s prediction, had lose twenty pounds as their resolution. Not gonna happen if you keep drinking large lattes, extra whip, sugar.
Bucky’s idea started conversations; at least half a dozen people pulled out their phones when Call Mom More Often picked up her Americano. Two people found workout or walking partners. People lingered in the shop to talk about it; lingering people bought more coffee or muffins. And word spread, the way it tended to do. By lunch, the line was thirty deep.
“Man, I hate you,” Sam said, as Bucky passed yet another cup along.
(more under the cut)
Get an SO came up at least three times to get a refill, spending most of the morning poking his tablet industriously, taking advantage of the free wifi. In the relatively dead period just after lunch, while Bucky was clearing off tables, he asked, “So, how do you go about keeping people accountable?”
“Really? I don’t,” Bucky said. He picked up the chair, turned it around and straddled it. “You do it. Once you say it, and someone says it back to you, it’s halfway to being a fact.”
“Is that a fact?”
“It’s psychology,” Bucky said. “The power of saying things outloud.”
“Which is why you… work in a coffee shop, instead of having an office and clients on your couch?”
Bucky only chuckled. “I’m still in school, hot shot. Plus, I like my job. Talking to customers, getting to know people. Testing my threshold for some wall street tool’s dickish behavior. Means I’ll be able to handle him when he’s in my chair, wondering why he still ain’t got a date.”
Sig Other waved a hand near his forehead. “Yeah, okay, you got me. We’re square now?”
“Actually, no,” Bucky said. “Tell you what, why don’t you prove you’re being accountable. Bring your first dates here. Coffee shop meet ups are the thing, and I’ll see you’re taking my advice seriously.”
“You’re going to give me dating advice?”
“You can tell a lot about a person from what they order at the coffee shop,” Bucky told him.
“And what, pray, does my order say about me?”
“Mostly? That you should probably get more sleep. That whatever you do keeps you busy; you don’t have time to be fussy about your coffee. Black’s easy. Hard for someone else to fuck it up. You don’t strike me as the kind of coffee snob who wants black because he pretends he knows shit about the beans and roasting. You probably drink red wine, or scotch. Forget to eat more than you want to admit. And you don’t have very many close friends.”
By the time he was done bullshitting the guy -- playing Sherlock was fun, but it was no more true than Wanda and her tarot cards -- Sig Other’s eyes were huge.
“Okay, you convinced me,” he said. “I’ll bring my dates in. You tell me which ones to bring back.”
Bucky hadn’t actually expected Sig Other to come back, much less return with a date. He wasn’t even sure, after the first week of January was over, that he’d have remembered the guy. Waiting on more than five hundred customers a day, it took a lot of repeat business before he usually recognized anyone in more than that vague way of seeing thousands of faces. Even longer before he knew names.
But orders, for whatever reason--
“Oh, hey, Extra Grande, black, right?”
Those brilliant brown eyes, almost the same color as the heart of an espresso pull, lit up. “Hey, it’s the Accountability Guru,. Yeah, please. And--” He gestured and a very lovely woman stepped up behind him.
She was willow, brunette, and way overdressed for a coffee date. Her haircut probably cost more than Bucky made in tips during the day. She glanced up from her phone for a few moments to ponder the menu. “Raspberry latte,” she said. “With the art on it? And a biscotti.”
Bucky wrote the orders down, passed them on. “Do the swan,” he told Wanda. She was the best latte artist they had, not that many people bothered to look into their cups before heading out the door. Might as well give Sig Other a head start, right?
He watched them between customers, Sig Other keeping a proper date-space for a first meeting, asking questions and appearing interested in her answers.
When she bothered to give them. Mostly she poked her phone. Took a picture of her latte. A selfie. A picture with Sig. Cackled over some responses to her social media of choice. Tipped her screen toward Sig a few times so he could share in the joke.
They stayed about twenty minutes, and then she got up and he saw her to the door and her taxi. A moment later, he was leaning on the pastry counter.
“No,” Bucky said, flatly.
“No?”
“She was dressed way too nice,” Bucky said. “She expected you to wine and dine her. She’s in it for the money. I assume there is some?”
“You could say,” Sig said. “You didn’t like her? She seemed friendly to me.”
“Oh, yeah, sure,” Bucky said, then turned his phone toward Sig. “She dissed out my coffee artist. Real friendly.”
It hadn’t taken him long to find the instagram, not when she tagged the shop by name. Run of the mill coffee art. There was more, mostly talking about her date, but Bucky didn’t bother to read that.
“I thought the swan was clever,” Sig said.
“Well, I don’t want to brag, but Wanda’s competed at the WBC, she’s not run-of-the-mill.”
“How is it bragging, when you’re praising her?”
“You want one to go?” Bucky asked, changing the subject.
“Yeah--” Sig paused a moment, then, “It’s Tony, thanks.”
Sam nudged him. “Your boy’s got another one.”
Bucky flicked his cigarette and took a long drag. “I’m on break. Another socialite?”
“Naw, if it was that boring shit, I’dda left you out here. He’s got a dude with him this time,” Sam said.
Bucky swallowed his mouthful of smoke and then choked on it. Well, that changed everything, didn’t it?
Except it didn’t.
“You oughta quit that nasty habit,” Sam said, and Bucky waved him off.
He snubbed his butt and tossed it in the ashbin out back. The alley was gross and smelled like stale coffee and rotten muffins, but at least he was allowed to smoke there. There weren’t lots of places left that allowed it.
Went inside, snuck a peek at the line. Sure enough, there was Tony, about ten back, with a good-looking blond guy. Like, underwear model good looking. And then Bucky got a better look at his face. Oh, god. That guy.
“Is that--”
“Yep.”
“What are we talking about?” Wanda wanted to know.
“Don’t bother trying to get blondie’s coffee right,” Sam told her. “He’ll spend the next twenty minutes telling you what you did wrong. Just pour him a cup and some cream, and then make him what he actually ordered. He never accepts the first one. No point in wasting your time.”
Tony got his usual, and then spend a moment behind blondie’s back making the ‘look at his guy’ gesture with both hands. Bucky’s mouth tipped up in his the customer is always full of shit smile.
Bucky poured Tony’s coffee, pulled a shot, and went around the side of the counter to give it to him, while blondie was describing how to put half a pump of sweetner in his cup. “Really? This guy? I didn’t know you were into dudes, or I wouldn’t have suggested that you give Heather another date last month.”
“Yeah, no I figured that out when we had a little discussion about Freddie Mercury,” Tony said. “You knew?”
Bucky bobbed his chin around. “I suspected. She’s said some shit, but-- eh. Some people just have a little bi-prejudice, doesn’t affect anybody much, unless they’re dating someone who is bi. Besides, she ticked off all your other boxes.”
“Well, if she’s not going to want to have a relationship because I might have, at some point, touched some other guy’s dick, then the rest of the boxes don’t matter.”
Trust Tony to say something like that, while Bucky was already thinking about the fact that Tony was actually into guys. Bucky shifted uncomfortably. Getting a chub while at work was awkward.
“So what’s wrong with Ty?” Tony looked over again, watching as Ty walked Wanda through the steps of pulling a shot, like she’d never done it before.
“He’s a mansplainer,” Bucky said. “He always knows everything, better than everyone.”
Tony chuckled. “I am, in actual facts, a genius.”
“Won’t matter,” Bucky said. “He’s the expert.”
“Could be good for a romp,” Tony said. “Experts can be great lovers.”
“Until he starts telling you everything you’re doing wrong,” Bucky pointed out.
Tony looked offended, although Bucky wasn’t sure if it was directed at him, or at Ty for not-yet-occurring critique of Tony’s bed skills. “We’ll see,” Tony said.
“You’re planning to make pancakes for breakfast?” Bucky wasn’t jealous, he wasn’t. Not that it hadn’t been a while since he’d gotten laid, that was irrelevant. Just--
“It’s been looking good, so far,” Tony said.
“Well, have fun,” Bucky said, his smile coming naturally to his face. Yay customer service job.
“I plan to,” Tony said.
“Coffee, black.”
“Tony?”
“You were right, if you want to tell me so,” Tony said. “But, coffee first?” His eyes were bloodshot, as if he’d been drinking heavily, or crying. Or both.
“Sure, sure,” Bucky said. He added two shots to the mix. “Here, come on, it’s on the house, are you--”
Sam waved at him. I got this.
“-- are you okay?”
Tony held up his hand and waggled it back and forth. “We had a big fight,” he said. “It, uh, didn’t end well. But hey, I had almost three months of a relationship. Well, a little more than two, at least. Too bad it’s freaking October. I’m… running out of time.”
“You’re not running out of time,” Bucky told him, scoffing. “You’re in your prime. Plenty of time to find someone, settle down.”
“I mean, I know,” Tony said, sinking down in his chair, “that I don’t need someone to make me happy, that my life has meaning and value. And just because I’m alone, it doesn’t mean I’m unlovable. See, I’ve been talking to my therapist, right.”
“Well, no,” Bucky said, hesitant. Tony thought he was unlovable? He was the most interesting person that Bucky knew. “You’re pretty damn amazing, actually. Smart and sexy, funny. You’re interesting, you’re unabashedly nerdy, and enthusiastic about your geekiness. But not a gatekeeper. Really, Stone didn’t deserve you. He was a dick. I think you’re a hell of a catch, and I don’t understand why people are bein’ so dense about it. I--” would totally date you.
“Yeah, no, I’m-- I’m just not seeing it,” Tony said, and he turned his phone around to show Bucky a hungover frownie face selfie. “Not… just not happening this year. I’m done. Accountability shows that I tried, but this year is just another fucking washout.”
“Um…” Bucky licked his lip, hesitating. “Uh, maybe it’s not?”
“Yeah, why, what do you think, the perfect person’s going to just plop themselves in my lap? I mean, I know you work in a coffee shop--” Tony pushed his chair away from the table. “-- and you’re apparently delusional enough to be a romantic, but--”
Bucky stood up, took a deep breath--
--and plopped himself into Tony’s lap.
“I am an incurable romantic. I do work in a coffee shop, and maybe the perfect person for you is absolutely going to throw themselves in your lap.”
Please God, let this work, because otherwise, this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
Tony almost dropped him, before scrambling to get an arm around Bucky’s waist. “Wh-- oh. Oh. Oh, my god.”
“Would you, erm… like to go out? I know a great coffee shop--”
Tony blinked a few times. Then his arm tightened on Bucky’s waist. “Yeah, yeah, I think I might like that. Wouldn’t want to, you know, fail in my resolution.”
“Don’t worry,” Bucky said. “I’ll hold you accountable.”

ENDGAME BIG SPOILERS
Complete synopsis of the entire film below the cut.
If you want spoilers but not the whole shebang, scroll down to my other Spoiler post.
Why post this? Because some people want to know, either before they go, or instead of going, or to decide whether to or not.
Look, if you don’t want to know, then use the tag filter. In case you didn’t set it up, then I’ve put in the ‘keep reading’ cut. So you should be covered. So please, no more anon hate! (Haters are so brave when they go anon!)
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT MY SYNOPSIS. I HAVE NOT SEEN THE FILM (and won’t) THIS IS FROM A REDDIT USER. BECAUSE LOTS OF SPOILERS OVER THERE ARE BEING TAKEN DOWN, I DECIDED TO CUT AND PASTE IT RATHER THAN JUST GIVE A LINK.
People who HAVE seen the film have been adding comments to this post on Reddit, saying it is ‘correct’, or ‘basically correct’.

First Scene is actually Hawkeye losing his family to the snap. He doesn’t actually see it happen as he is facing the other direction. We then get the Tony/Nebula sequence (paper football, etc). Tony records his message to Pepper. When he falls asleep, Nebula takes him to the front of the ship and sits him in the pilots seat. He wakes up and sees something glowing outside the window. Captain Marvel helps them return to Earth. Pepper, Rocket, Steve and Rhodey all come out to greet him. Tony is very shaken, particularly about losing Peter.
Movie starts with the Avengers trying to find Thanos. Steve wasn’t to know where Thanos is and asks Tony, but Tony says he doesn’t know, They argue. Nebula knows of Thanos’ garden he said he would once go to when he completed his goal. They found him because of the energy he released using the gauntlet. Thanos is alone, and tells them he used the gauntlet to destroy the gems. He is weak and Thor, angry, decapitates him.
Title Card and five years later.
Natasha is now basically in charge of what's left of the Avengers is talking to them via holograms. Basically the world is in ruins and they're trying to salvage it. Carol is there via hologram with a new haircut and uniform and tells them that she's covering thousands of planets and won't be able to come back to Earth for a "long time".
Steve and Nat talk about how the Avengers are family. Inside a storage shed is Luis’s van. A rat is crawling over the Quantum controls and activated the switch which brings Scott out. He’s now locked inside the cage but starts waving at the security cameras. A guard lets him out and he is walking the streets confused as to why everything is so overgrown and run down. He finds a memorial which lists the names of the ‘missing’ on large stones. He starts reading them panicking that Cassie might be listed on them. But she isn’t. He sees her at home, as an older version of herself. Scott drives to the Avengers facility and Nat and Steve let him in and he tells them about the Quantum realm and how they might be able to build a time machine to go back to the past before everything happened. They visit Tony, but he doesn’t want to help. He’s happy with the way that his life is, with Pepper and his daughter Morgan. They leave and to visit Bruce who is now Professor Hulk.
The plan becomes to start looking for the gems in the past. Initially Banner builds quantum time machine and sends Scott back to test but it is faulty, Tony refuses to help at this point, however, he returns Caps shield and they make up. He tweaks Banners Quantum Machine, The catch is that they need quantum particles for it to work.
Natasha goes to Japan to get Clint. He is mourning his family and is not certain of the plan. Rocket and Hulk go to get Thor who is drinking and playing video games with Korg and Meik. (Funny joke involving an online video game troll)
Finally the team then all suit up and discuss their plans to get the stones. They make it clear that they can not mess up because there is only enough Quantum particles for one trip for each of them.
Tony, Scott, Steve and Bruce go to the Battle of New York. Hulk meets the Ancient One at Dr Stranger's future home. Ancient One refuses to give the Time Stone to Bruce but relents when Bruce tells her that Dr Strange will give the stone to Thanos.
Cap, Iron Man and Scott tries to retrieve the Tessaract after Loki surrenders. SHIELD/Hydra agents Crossbones and that bald guy with glasses in Winter Soldier retrieve the brief case containing the Tessaract. Past Hulk funnily has to walk down lots of flights of stairs as he can't go on lift due to maximum capacity. Cap meets with Crossbones with the briefcase in elevator along with other Hydra agents. He convinces them to give him the briefcase containing the staff when he utters two words: Hail Hydra. Cap gets the briefcase. Tony in disguise as a SWAT soldier tells Scott to disable his past self's chest reactor to give him a minor seizure while his past self meets up with Alexander Pierce who demands the Mind Stone and Loki. Present Tony retrieves the briefcase but past Hulk accidentally knocks out Tony and Loki uses the confusion to teleport out with the Tessaract. Present Cap accidentally meets with his 2012 self, and 2012 self thinks he's Loki in disguise. They fought and 2012 has present self in chokehold when he tells his past self that Bucky is alive. He then taps his past self with staff to knock him out.
In Asgard, fat Thor and Rocket plans to retrieve the Aether out of Jane Foster's body. Thor's mother meets his 'son' and know he's from the future. Rocket retrieves the aether out of Jane by prodding her off screen and gets chased by guards. Before Thor leaves, he retrieves Mjolnir!
On Morag, War Machine and Nebula stays on Morag while Clint and Nat goes to Voromir via a ship that Rocket miniatures for Clint. Unknown to Nebula, her past self's nervous system and databanks are connected to each other and Thanos finds out where the stones are and how he meets his fate.
Cap and Tony transport back to 1970 at the SHIELD training site seen in Winter Soldier and goes underground to retrieve that era's Tessaract. Tony retrieves the Tesseract while meeting his dad. He calls himself Howard Potts. Cap makes a prank call to young Hank Pym and sneaks into his office to steal 4 vials of Pym Particles. Cap also sees Peggy. Cap and Tony teleport back to present.
WM and Nebula knocks out Quill during his dance in intro of GOTG. They got the stone and WM and Nebula was meant to teleport together but WM only succeeded. Present Nebula and past Nebula meets and fights and past Nebula takes her place to go back to present.
On Voromir, Clint and May meets the Red Skull as seen in Infinity War and is told how to retrieve the stone. Clint and Nat fought each other. Clint jumped off cliff but Nat catches him and held on by grappling rope. She falls off and dies like Gamora. Clint now has the Stone.
All members went back to present and everyone is devastated by Nat's death. Tony and Bruce constructs the Infinity Gauntlet and Thor wants to wield it but Hulk goes instead as he's the strongest one and the stones emit gamma radiation according to him. He wields it and snaps his fingers restoring all life lost. Clint's wife calls him on mobile. Hulk suffers extreme pain in his right arm due to IG. Past Nebula activates the Quantum teleporter and summons Thanos' warship and blasts the Avengers HQ to ruins with missiles.
Hulk lifting up rubble similar to Secret Wars cover where he lifts up a whole mountain except this is less in film lol.
Clint finds the gauntlet and is being chased by Outriders creatures in last film. He kills them and is met by past Nebula. Gamora and present Nebula meets up and Nebula kills her past self.
Cap, Tony and Thor teams up against Thanos. Thor is losing against Thanos even though he has Stormbreaker and Mjolnir. Thanos is about to kill Thor with SB when:
Cap lifts up Mjolnir and beats Thanos with hammer and shield.
Thanos uses his double blade weapon to break Cap's shield in half.
Thanos summons his whole army including the Black Order and some new creatures. Cap is all by himself against a whole army.
He hears Sam's voice and he turns around and see EVERYONE who has vanished PLUS huge armies of Wakandans, sorcerers and Asgardians (no signs of Warrior Three). Wong, Valkyrie, Wasp and Pepper Potts as Rescue turns up as well. Ant Man becomes Giant Man.
Clint plays American Football with IG and passes it to Black Panther then Spidey. Quill meets past Gamora and gets hit in the balls, not believing he is the one she loves lol. Scarlet Witch overpowers Thanos but Thanos orders missiles to hit everyone including his forces. Captain Marvel shows up to destroy Thanos' flagship and gets the IG and dashes towards the goal. There is a bit where Hope and Scott goes to the van with the Quantum teleporter in the middle of battlefield. Was lost in the moment so forgot why they doing that, sorry.
All female Marvel characters fight Thanos. Spidey's armoured suit goes autokill mode with the extra arms.
Thanos tries to take the gauntlet off Marvel by headbutting her but didn't phase her.
Thanos retrieves the gauntlet away from Stark and he snaps his fingers. Nothing happened. The stones went to Stark and before he snaps his fingers, he says 'I'm Iron Man'.
White flash of light.
All of Thanos' forces turn to dust including Thanos himself.
Tony dies from using the gauntlet. Everyone mourns.
The battle is won but at a cost.
Holographic Tony gives a message to everyone present including his daughter.
A wreath with Tony's chest reactor is laid to rest at the lake near Tony's hut.
Everyone is present including GOTG, Peter, Maria, Ross, Nick and Hank and Janet.
Thor, still fat designates Valkyrie as Queen of New Asgard in Tonnsberg. Thor is now travelling with GOTG to find Gamora and maybe more Asgardians. Quill and Thor are about to fight for leadership lol.
Scott, Cassie and Hope are together again. Wakanda is back with his King.
Cap goes on a mission to put back the stones and Mjolnir to their proper places. Hulk says to Sam and Buck that he should be back in 5 secs. He didn't. Sam sees a old man at a bench and it's Old Man Steve (who looks like Clint Eastwood now but less wrinkles and bit younger than he is lol). Steve has wedding ring and passes his shield to Sam. Sam is honoured.
Ending shows young Cap dancing with Peggy at their house. That's it.
Credits music is set to 1930s music then shows all cast members. The main cast is shown with their signatures on it.
There is NO post credit scenes which is a first for a MCU.
Stan Lee cameo is set in 1970s where he is shown in his 70s younger self driving a car with a woman, driving past a army base where Cap and Tony retrieves the Tesseract there.

The Usual
A/N: SO, I usually don’t post stuff like this, but the wonderful @startrekkingaroundasgard had a 2K writing challenge about tropes and no one had taken the coffee shop AU yet, which I thought was a shame and a disaster, so here we go. Hope you enjoy :D
Tony had always thought he would despise working in the service industry. Given the amount everyone around him complained about it, he had expected he would be trying to commit harakiri with a milk frother within the week, since whatever Hades had in store for him would be less bad than dealing with one more person who pronounced cappuccino wrong.
And yet, now that he's here, he's enjoying himself. The coffee shop, called Impresso Espresso (insert forced laughter here), is across from a college campus, so most of his customers are caffeine-addicted students, hands shaking and eyes wide open from either too much Redbull or too much cocaine (it's a toss up at this age, really) and their professors, with under-eye bags so large they can put all the assignments they still have to mark in them, leaving their hands free for a carton cup with seven shots of espresso. Tony enjoys winking at all of them and trying to make them laugh, every smile a reward better than the free coffee that comes with the job.
During the classic afternoon lull, when the students are in bed and the professors in class, Tony puts the mechanics degree that put him deep in debt but didn't provide him with a job due to his well-meaning but obnoxious demeanour to good use by upgrading the ancient coffee machines, that were apparently purchased in the late seventies, max- or maybe modern technology just isn't as great as people often make it out to be.
Tony's manager, Matt, captain of the American football team who likes his coffee like he likes his math problems, simple, watches this thirty-something man become increasingly comfortable in a coffee shop populated mostly by those ten years younger or older than him with a mix between amazement and amusement. Besides, the coffee machines, that previously took ten minutes of gentle conversation with an increasingly impatient customer to create something as simple as a cup of tea, can now whip up a doppio in a record-holding 17.8 seconds, according to Tony. To Matt, it just feels like approximately 20 seconds, but, apparently, the exact time is of great importance to Tony, who, one night during midterms season when the coffee shop is open 24/7 to accommodate all the students pulling all-nighters, calls Matt at 3 am to announce he has shortened this time to 17.7 seconds. Apart from that hiccup, though, Tony is a good employee and Matt is satisfied.
On a dreary Thursday in February, one of the other baristas asks Matt: "Have you seen the professor around, lately? I feel like it's been awhile since we've had a queue of 20+ people- do you think he's ill?"
Matt smiles. "Don't worry about him, he's at a conference. He told me about it last time he was here, right before he told me off about not stirring his coffee correctly, or putting too much syrup in it. I'm not sure what it was that time, but it was clear he wasn't happy."
The barista laughs. "Is he ever?"
Tony, who is leaning on the counter, watching the students run by, text books over their head, more concerned with protecting their haircut than the $200 the book cost them, hears the comment. "Who are you talking about?" he asks, intrigued.
"Just this crazy customer who comes here a lot," Matt says. "He teaches something very scientific and complicated, and his order is absolutely ridiculous. You should be glad you're first month here has coincided with a four-week conference in Silicon Valley he had to go to. He's a nightmare."
Tony laughs. "Oh come one, he can't be that bad."
Matt rolls his eyes at the other barista, pulling off her apron now that her shift has ended. She waves at the two men behind the bar before exiting the coffee shop, the door being held open for her by a customer just about the enter the shop.
The customer enters the cafe, his eyes gliding over the neon Impresso Espresso sign behind the counter like he is disappointed still no one has realised what a horrible idea it was to put it there. Behind Tony, Matt sighs. "That'll teach me to speak of the devil. That's him, the professor. You take him, you've never had to suffer through his demands."
Tony steps up to the register just as the man reaches the counter. He is wearing thick, black glasses that almost completely hide his grey eyes. The top button of his checkered shirt is undone, but it doesn't look on purpose, more like he just forgot there was another button before he finished dressing himself. His large, black cardigan is wrapped around his body like a blanket. He is younger than Tony expected, for a professor being invited to month-long conferences. He also doesn't look like someone who has an order complicated enough to make his colleagues this bitter (pun intended).
When the man opens his mouth to place his order, Tony expects the other employees to have pulled a prank on him, expects the man to just order a black coffee, and maybe, maybe, make a joke about the colour of his soul. Instead, he hits Tony with this beauty of a coffee order: "I would like a latte, but instead of only milk, I would like half milk half hot water. The milk should be equal parts almond and coconut, with an extra dash of soy. Stir that exactly two and a half times clockwise. Then, add in a full glass of skimmed milk, that has been frothed for exactly 12.5 seconds, shake it up with ice, pour half of the drink out, and heat the other half up again, which needs to be stirred twelve times anti-clockwise at a temperature of 63 Celsius or 145.4 Fahrenheit. Take it off the heat at 98.7 Celsius or 209.67 Fahrenheit. I would like three and a quarter pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup, seven packets of sugar, two pumps of caramel syrup, make sure to add that in after the sugar, otherwise you ruin the taste, and .4 pump of hazelnut. Then, I would like some cocoa powder, pour the coffee in with ice and shake it up again. I would also like whipped cream on top, but then please shave it off again, so there's only a little bit of whipped cream left. Pay with card, please."
Tony's mouth falls open. "You're kidding!" he exclaims. Behind him, he hears Matt snicker. The man begins to explain the importance of each individual step to the flavour of the beverage, but Tony interrupts him: "That's my order!"
A smile forms on the man's face, grey eyes sparkling. "Finally, someone with good taste around here," he says, giving Matt, whose jaw has slammed through the floor of the coffee shop and is currently making its way to the centre of the earth, a side eye. "You'll know the crucial timing of the stirring, then."
Tony nods. "Of course, of course," he says, with a stern face, fully aware of how important these things are. One of the reasons he had decided to start working in a coffee shop was that he would finally be able to make this order perfectly for himself. He can't believe another person with a brain as small as a human's has been smart enough to realise this order is the only way coffee is anything near drinkable. "Name?"
"Bruce," the man answers, and Tony hits the buttons on the register to allow the man to pay for his drink, even though he believes that thinking like that should be rewarded with a free coffee, before writing Bruce on the cup in his squiggly handwriting.
A solid twenty minutes and 27 grumbling people in line behind Bruce later, Tony presents the coffee with a flourish Shakespearean actors would be jealous of, putting a lid on the take-away cup before sliding it across the counter towards Bruce. "Oh, I don't need a lid," Bruce says, and pulls on the lid. However, in his enthusiasm, Tony has pressed down a bit harder than was fully necessary, and, no matter how much Bruce pulls, the lid is not giving way.
Tony snickers. "Well, someone's got muscles that would give the Hulk a run for his money."
Bruce laughs, too, and pushes the cup back towards Tony. "Can you do it?" Tony easily takes of the lid and slides the now lidless cup to Bruce. With a smile and a nod of his head, Bruce exits the coffee shop.
Over the next week, Bruce comes back twice a day, once in the early morning, and once for a pick-me-up in the middle of the afternoon. Tony learns his schedule quickly enough, and ensures he arrives a bit too early and leaves a bit too late for his shifts, so he can be there to make Bruce's coffee. He doesn't ask for the man's name anymore, instead scribbling Hulk, No Lid on his cup, something that amuses Bruce, which is only indicated by the sparkle in his eyes when he reads it. Most of Bruce's emotions seems to be conveyed through his eyes, and Tony starts making subtle alterations to his order depending on the look in them- an extra shot of coffee if they're especially tired, some more syrup when he's looking down, and some extra milk when Bruce's eyes are dull, in replacement for Tony's wish to put his hand on his stubbled cheek and his lips against his forehead to soften the pain he sees hiding behind the grey clouds in Bruce's irises. He knows Bruce notices, when his eyes regain some of the sparkle Tony had seen that first time they had met after he takes his first sip, thanking Tony with a simple nod of the head and a half-smile, which Tony cherishes more than the few coins Bruce drops in the tip jar whenever he visits the shop.
They talk every time, sharing jabs and ideas, words and looks, until Matt has had enough of it. One particularly rainy afternoon in March, he punches Tony's arm in a way that's soft for a quarterback such as Matt, but hard for a skinny 5'9 guy like Tony, and he has to take a side step to prevent himself from falling against one of the coffee machines.
"When are you finally gonna do something about that, man?" Matt asks. Tony raises an eyebrow, innocence painted on his face. It's as much of a forgery as most of Da Vinci's paintings, though, and Matt knows it. "You kids have been flirting under my nose for over a month now," he continues, ignoring the fact that both of the men he's talking about are at least ten years older than he is. "You need to make a move, dude. Now!"
Tony gestures at the window, where Bruce can be seen crossing the street to the college campus, coffee in his hand. "He's gone, Matt," he says. "What do you want me to do? Go after him?"
Matt nods enthusiastically. "That's exactly what you should do! Run after him, ask him out! Don't be such a wimp!" He pulls Tony's apron over his head and pushes him towards the door.
Tony struggles against Matt's indisputably superior physical strength. "I never took you to be such a romantic," he says. "Might harm that cool image you've got going on."
Matt snickers. "You're not talking your way out of this one, Tony," he says, opening the door with one hand and pushing Tony through it with the other. "Now, go!"
With not much other choice, Tony runs across the road, waving at the sleek black car that almost hit him, driven by an extremely annoyed-looking red haired woman who seems to have half a mind to simply step on the gas and run him over. He makes it across the street in one piece though, and yells: "Bruce!"
The other man is so shocked by someone yelling his name that he promptly drops his coffee cup. He spins around, hands risen next to his head as if showing he has no weapons. His wet hair is plastered to his forehead, and his navy blazer darkens where the rain hits him, since he isn't wearing a coat. Neither is Tony himself, he realizes, now that the rain is making his white T-shirt quickly turn see-through. "It's just me," Tony says.
"Oh, yes. Did I forget something?" Bruce pets the pockets of his blazer.
Tony shakes his head. "No, I eh… I…" He has always been a man of words, but now, faced with a nervous, drenched professor whose coffee is spilling all over the pavement between their feet, he doesn't know what to say. "Can I buy you a new coffee?" he asks, hating the clenched way his voice comes out of his mouth. "Maybe we could, you know, talk. Somewhere else than in there." He gestures at Impresso Espresso, where Matt is grinning broadly behind the windows. "Somewhere he can't see us."
Bruce smiles, with both his eyes and his mouth, and Tony has to resist the urge to run back and high-five Matt. "That would be nice. There's a decent place just up the road." He gestures in a vague direction, and Tony isn't sure which road he's indicating, but he doesn't care. He would follow this man to a coffee shop three cities over, if he really had to.
When they walk into the shop, water forms small pools by their feet, and a single, bored barista is leaning over the counter. The neon sign behind her reads Cool Beans Coffee Bar. Bruce sighs. "Do all coffee shops have those?"
Tony laughs. "Federal law requires it. That's top secret, though, don't tell anyone."
Bruce mimes locking his lips and throwing the key away, and, grinning, the two men step up to the counter. Tony eyes the other man. "The usual?"
Bruce nods. "The usual."

11.18.2017 ~ I am my Own Self, Hear me (expl)ROAR!
To start with: I have changed my writing location. Previously, all of my blogs were written from the comfort and warmth of my bed, where I could unabashedly take my time lopping words into paragraphs to update the people back home. Today, on the eighteenth of November, in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen, I have chosen to write from within the aromatic and hazy haven of Yogurt Barn. Nothing short of my personal favorite location within the city, this little yogurt shop/café has been the subject of some of my absolute cutest and most “aesthetic” photos I’ve taken so far. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like it doesn’t deserve to be appreciated, but I know many of you are thinking: “come on Marissa, you couldn’t find a better place to religiously spend your money?” The answer is no, I couldn’t—I pick favorites and I hold onto them tight for fear of, well, who knows actually.
Anyway, you guys probably want to get to the part where I tell you what I’ve been up to since my last post three and a half weeks ago! I am so sorry for being gone so long but when you hear what I’ve been up to, maybe you can forgive me? First thing to note, now that I’m finally telling you about the things I’ve been up to, is that I’m not trying too hard to go in chronological order because, honestly, when I get home I’ll just be spouting information and stories, rather than walking you through my itinerary.
Okay, lets jump in: I got a new tattoo and a haircut within the same two-week window and I am loving this pseudo-reinvention of myself while being abroad. The tattoo is a beautiful daisy and accompanying sprig of leaves on my inner right arm. The haircut is a straight bob with an undercut (where they shave the underside of your hair, while leaving the top layers like normal). I’ll admit: I feel kind of like a badass with this look, which I need for a bit of moral pep during the last few weeks before heading home. The tattoo parlor I went to is the oldest within the city and the gentlemen there were very nice and were able to set up an appointment within the same week that I went in for a consultation. The cost was the price of expertise and materials and a beautiful tattoo, so I’d say it was worth it.
           {Here’s my two cents, for all those that don’t quite understand or agree with the choice to get tattoos: my tattoos are mementos, reminders. My favorite part of this city is the constant display and arrangement of flowers that add color and life to city. Yes, there are colorful people and colorful buildings, but the connection with nature will never go underappreciated within my own mind. I have photos of these flowers and the scenes that made me smile but the mentality of having living things, or a tattoo of a living thing, on my body makes me much happier because I am a part of those things that live and grow and die and return after their death. Also: my body is mine and I am the only one who has a say in what happens to it. The end.}
Moving on! My haircut was quite the adventure because I got it done for free during student exam/lessons for Toni&Guy salon, which is actually right across the square from my beloved Yogurt Barn. The whole experience took about two hours, in which the teacher gave quite the sass-attack to some of the students, and I realized the girl cutting my hair was really good, but so anxious about creating an irreversible mistake on my hair. I reassured her that hair grows and honestly, just do what you’re comfortable with—and that kind of bit me back in the long run because, to be honest dear reader, I was not entirely pleased with my haircut when I walked about of the salon. They gave me a center part and the undercut was a triangle, rather than a flat shave like I wanted, but fear not! I have grown to love it, and I can part it however I want, obviously. My wise and clearly-much-smarter-than-I friend, Kelly, called me out and told me to stop being a wuss and just tell people what I want when I go into a service industry. She’s totally right. I am a wuss. I don’t like to inconvenience people or to cause unnecessary stress if I don’t have to: it’s much easier to stay quiet and remember that, in this case, hair grows.
Also, fun fact, The Netherlands isn’t as huge into Halloween as America is (we tend to be excessive about everything) but our neighborhood is full of expats and so we attended the cutest little coordinated trick-or-treat festivities all day and collected a non-chocolate centered candy haul after running around after a little blue dinosaur (Emilio’s costume), and I was busy being an obnoxious adult who cared too much about Halloween as I dressed up like Harry Potter.
On to the next adventure! For three blissful days, my friend from home came to visit and we tore up Amsterdam and had the most fun I’ve had in years. A three hour walking tour lead by a naturally sociable guide led to an amusing and educational tour of the inner city of Amsterdam, including the Red Light District and some of the canals—and a café/bar with a cat! (my friend and I love cats, so this was a potential highlight on the “unexpected” list). After our tour we toured the Van Gogh Museum and I fell in love with an artist that I had already adored from afar back in my Art History classes at St. Mary’s. Along with the wonderful artwork, we also discovered that audio tours within museums are completely worth the extra charge if you want to feel more immersed within the works, or if you’re like us, and have someone who’s not entirely sure they’re interested in the artworks that they’re about to spend over an hour looking at. We used audio tours for all of the following museums we went to, including the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, Rembrandt Studio, and Escher in the Palace (we went to a lot of museums, and thank god my friend actually enjoyed some of it, because they’re not really an art person like I am). While they visited, we stayed at an AirBnB and I can confirm that this is my preferred method of staying anywhere now. The comfort of a home with the amenities of a hotel all in one—I’ve started investigating long term stays for my trip to Ireland, but more on that later! Last couple of adventures in Amsterdam included a trip to the Zoo (mainly to see the Red Pandas), a great dinner out at a place called Haesje Claes, and the some time spent wandering around The Hague after two days of running ourselves up a wall to get all our planned activities done. A wonderful weekend with some great photos to commemorate the trip will be surely discussed when I return.
The following weekend, the family and I traveled to Zaandam and went to the clog factory there, which is situated in the cutest little town that has been preserved from it’s factory days into picturesque quaint charm, surrounded by windmills and colored homes, and small shops. Although it rained for most of the time we were there, the atmosphere of the town was something I had been craving during my trip abroad, and something I plan to seek out again before I leave. I did not buy myself a pair of clogs—my mother’s rational voice of “when will you ever actually wear these” was constantly running through my head—but, I did buy a miniature pair that are more like keychain or display style because I loved the level of detail in the carving. The whole town was situated on a series of small canals and beyond the section where the “clog town” sat, lay fields and the actual world beyond. Only turning around to head home did we once again return to the city-scape and the more stereotypical Netherlands style homes.
On to the final notes, which may come as a relief after reading two pages of single spaced story telling. I visited one of the oldest churchs in The Hague and it was absolutely stunning, as to be expected. I will never cease to seek out these beautiful creations that are testaments to the amazing works that can be created by man to worship amazing works done by God/Jesus. Honestly, I should be making an effort to explore more religious temples and grounds, but I’m not quite that comfortable yet with the invasion of other religions I don’t understand or know enough about. If you were curious, the church I visited is called “St. James the Church in The Hague,” and it was amazing to see how even within this church the details were naturally oriented, with vines and trees in the tile work and the general beauty of the rest of the art within.
So, what’s next? This weekend I am touring the Peace Palace, and tomorrow, Sunday, I will be venturing out to some town to take photos of windmills—I haven’t quite planned that far ahead yet and therefor I can’t actually name anywhere yet. Next weekend, we have taken on the momentous task of hosting Thanksgiving (even though, in full European fashion, I am already skipping forward to Christmas), and then the final weekend I am here, I will be packing, prepping, and pretending I’m not about to be going home. That’s right folks, this Monday marks the two-week countdown for when I return home! The boring part of this means that I start working (hopefully) no later than December eleventh, but this also means I have so much fun to share very very soon with everyone and I cannot wait to tell you guys all about it!

Day 124 Bangkok to Samir Songkhram 102K
Last night I decided to get my haircut. I Wandered down the road from the hotel and found an empty salon and walked in. The lady spoke no English, although had enough to tell me it would cost 500THB. Fine, let’s do it. She took me around the back and started to run a shower in a cubicle, I am thinking, this is a mistake, she points to the shower, I point to my hair. After a few seconds of stand off, she guides me to the sink. OK, we are now moving in the right direction.
Mrs Tony and Guy, starts washing my hair, loses control of the shower head and soaks my chest and crotch. Happy with her work, leads me back to the chair and starts to frantically search through women’s magazines, I assume for men’s styles. Nothing, so I explain what I want. Not difficult, just a tidy up and show her 2 inches for the top. She has a brainwave runs to the back of the shop and comes back with a newspaper, pointing to a photo of George Micheal. Not the recent short style we have come to know and love, but George from his Wham days! I laugh, she is deadly serious.
She starts tackling my hair with a razor, now between talking to my old barber in the U.K about trails and tribulations of West Ham, I do note he clips something on the razor to regulate the length of the cut. Not Mr and Mrs Tony and Guy. She was like a women possessed, cutting, shaving and thinning, until I was left with a cut that looks like I am wearing a toupee, one side is shorter than the other by quite a distance. She then smothered it in gel and started to spike it. I walked back to the hotel with a wet crotch, looking like a poor mans Johnny Rotten while whistling wake me up before you gogo. Thank God, I am wearing a bike helmet most of the day.
Back to the cycling. Left the hotel around 8, it took nearly an hour by taxi to get to my friends office, just 10K away. I prayed on the way my satnav would take me out of the city. By the time I re packed my panniers and loaded Pat up, it was around 10.30 before I hit the road. Thankfully, after some Initial confusion we found the right road and I made my way out of this traffic crazy city. I decided to call it a day at 100K and get back into the swing of it slowly. It was good to be back in the saddle and like other stressful times, I seem to relax once I am moving forward on the bike.
I hope to visit a night market later and find something to eat. Today was mostly 3 lane motorway, I am hoping tomorrow I can find some back roads as I head further south, fingers crossed.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
Director: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo Writer: Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely (screenplay), Stan Lee, Jack Kirby (Marvel comics), Jim Starlin, George Pérez, Ron Lim (comic book story) Cast: fucking everybody IMDB | RottenTomatoes | Official Site
Watched: on 25 April, at the IMAX cinema, and 28 April, and 01 May
Reaction: ± Thanos demands my silence. I will say that i wasn’t half as prepared as i though i was. I'll edit this in like a week with my actual reaction since i assume by then it'll be far enough down any follower's (who hasn't watched - IN A WHOLE WEEK AFTER RELEASE!) dashboard to not be seen unless you're looking specifically at this blog.
Memorable aspect of the movie: + So many things. (Soon.)
Would I recommend it? > Fuck. Yes.
[EDIT:] So, reaction. After more than a month because i haven’t been on in a while, and under the cut because it’s hella long (like, super fucking long) and rambling in my geeky joy. :D It’s in 3 parts, from the three times i watched it.
[Take 1] ± It was an EXCELLENT, WELL BALANCED FILM. They have the Marvel Cinematic Universe formula down pat of comedy and drama, action and reaction. It’s so perfect and fun to watch. They were able to give the gigantic cast fairly equal screen time as well as balancing the personalities on screen. [See bonus content at the very end.]. That they split up the teams and threw them with other franchises was a great choice for both balance and dynamic. The visuals -- cinematography, CGI, costume, make up, set design --, as always, are a feast, with the coloration of the film striking a balance between all the different tones from each individual franchise.
[Take 2] Memorable [aspect] moments of the movie: + D:  “I am Loki, Prince of Asgard... Odinson.” + XD “I’ll get you a metaphysical ham on rye.” + Doctor Strange and Tony’s interactions. It was interesting repartee and good chemistry. + Stark-raving Hazelnut and Hunka-Hulk-a Burning Love. I need to try these flavours, and also i need to know the flavours for every other Avenger. + <3 Tony brings the stupid flip phone around with him! AND there’s a message!! + XD “Squidward” + XD “Dude, you’re embarrassing me in front of the wizards.” + XD Bruce trying to beat Hulk out.  + “Wong, you’re invited to my wedding.” + XD The singing. Mean faces. “Language. ... Ever since you got a little sap.” OMG. You GOT a little sap. Oh, puberty. “ XD “He is not a dude. You are a dude. He is a man. A handsome, muscular man.” “It’s like a pirate made a baby with an angel.” “God man.” + XD Mantis’s attack form. + XD Quill’s jealousy and mimicking. + “All words are made up words.” Well, that’s actually a good point. + “Is there a 4 digit code? A birthday perhaps” Thor’s really gotten into Midgard culture eh? (Which is a good carry over from Thor: Ragnarok.) + XD Rabbit. Tree. Morons. Ah, Thor’s nicknames. It’s fun, cause he doesn’t mean them maliciously and he says them with such regal diction that they feel kind of acceptable as nicknames. + The intro sequences for the rogue Avengers. STEVE!!! <3 And Sam! And Nat!! The whole fight sequence too! + D:  “Where to, Cap?” “Home.” !!! (ESPECIALLY IF YOU REWATCH AGE OF ULTRON AND SEE HOW STEVE REACTS TO SAM SAYING “Home is home,” AT THE PARTY. TT_TT )  + “The kid watches more movies.” Well, that’s a good enough strategy. + “WHAT ARE THOSE??” The two teenagers use the same (meme) phrasing. + “Doctor. Do you concur?” + <3 “I’m not looking for forgiveness. And I’m way past asking permission. Earth just lost its best defender, so we’re here to fight. If you want to stand in our way, we’ll fight you too.” ICONIC. STEVEN FUCKING ROGERS, EVERYONE. + <3 The reunion greetings with Rhodey.” + XD “This is awkward.” + XD “It was an elective.” I NEED TO KNOW WHAT OTHER ELECTIVES THEY OFFERED ON ASGARD, PLEASE. + “I am Groot?” Evidently translates to: Are we there yet? The question of all kids in travelling vehicles everywhere. + D:  “What more do I have to lose?”  + Giant Peter Dinklage. So weird. + D:  Quill and Gamora. + Quill actually got Thanos’s approval. So like, thanks, dad? Hahaha. + “We don’t trade lives.”  + Nebula. What a badass. + XD “Blanket of death” + XD “Where is Gamora?” “Who is Gamora?” “Why is Gamora?” + “You’re from Earth?” “I’m from Missouri.” “Missouri is on Earth, dumbass.” + XD “Kick names. Take ass.” + Tony’s face. He’s so done with everyone. + Rhodey & Bruce. Ahh, what are friends for. XD + Steve & Bucky. Both of you are “hundred year old, semi-stable soldier”s. + Shuri! Wakanda! Man, i love this place. It’s great. + D:  Gamora!! + “Get out of the way, Sammy.” SAMMY! + Thor jumping onto and then sitting on the pod. What a cutie. + “It’ll kill you.” “Not if I don’t die.” “Yes, that’s what killing you means.” + XD “Magic! More magic! Magic with a kick!” + Bucky & Rocket + “New haircut?” “I see you’ve copied my beard.” This is SO MUCH better knowing they ad-libbed it.  + “This is my friend, Tree.” “I am Groot.” “I am Steve Rogers.” Of fucking course. Such a polite cutie pie, this guy. + XD Okoye’s reactions, and the “Why was she up there all this time?” + “She’s not alone.” FUCK YEAH. LET’S GO LADIES!! + “Oh, screw you, you big green asshole. I’ll do it myself.” Banner is super funny, situationally in this film. + “Tony Stark.” “You know me?” Hell yeah, you deserve to be acknowledged all over the universe, Tony. + The power of Doctor Strange and the mystic arts. SO COOL.  + Tony ran out of nanoparticles! O_o + D:  Wanda & Vision + “Steve?” TT___TT D: Bucky! Sam! My King! “Steady, Quill.” “I don’t wanna go!” TT__TT FEELS.
[Take 3] ± The familial hits get me more than the romantic ones. My reactions per viewing gave me three different experiences; It was personal, then intellectual, them empathic, in that order, for me. There are some moments i paid particular attention to, for a few characters:
Loki gets to come full circle with the “We have a Hulk,” line along with his redemption arc continuing on in from Thor: Ragnarok. Thor is an odd amalgamation of Shakespearean proper and slangy modern. “A little bit.” “So cool.” “I bid thee farewell and good luck, morons.” “Bye.”
The interplay between Tony and Strange. Excellent. It’s a real battle of egos at the beginning which turns to a mutual respect. Tony is a true leader. He intuits other people’s emotional reactions and attempts to keep them in line long enough to complete the goal.
A lot of shots in the Avengers compound are just Steve’s reactions. What bearing will this have? How does he feel about the cost?? Are they showing how tired he is from paying for his decisions?
The kid’s all heart. The first thing Peter does, once their plan goes awry, is try to save everyone even if he can’t remember their names. Okoye is a warrior to the core. She refuses to attach even these fuckers from behind. Bruce is such a goof and it shows now that he can’t disappear mid-scene. “Oh, you guys are so screwed!” And all the talking-to he gives Hulk.
Thanos’s voice really goes soft for Gamora, as a child, and the “I’m sorry, daughter.” “Tony Stark. ... You have my respect. I will wipe out half of humanity. I hope they remember you.” That’s amazing. The cost, the deterioration, is up to his arm and his neck. That’s an interesting detail which kind of implies that the Infinity Gauntlet (in the MCU at least) can only be used for something of this scale a few, if not only one, times.
I love that Marvel is really invested in antagonists that aren’t villains purely for the sake of being evil, but are fleshed out beings with emotions and purpose and passion, even if their goals are morally misguided. They have complex backstories and three dimensional personalities. Their goals are logical and intelligent, if a little beyond what’s reasonable. Their thought processes within the realm of imagination but a step too far for civilians and heroes.
The ending of this film is superb. I’ve seen many a peer say they think it’s too short or unresolved but i think they fail to appreciate the story. That sometimes the “good guys” don’t or can’t win (for now). That there are outcomes we’d rather not fathom and costs we’d rather not pay. But they happen. And the MCU gets this. That things happen and there’s a balance to it. There’s collateral and there’s gains and losses. And not just for the protagonist. (But for every character.)
Thanos achieved his goal, but at great personal cost. He won but lost all at once. Likewise, Killmonger achieved some of his goals but failed at others, died but did it with dignity in his eyes; Hela brought was released from her bonds and gained power but didn’t wind up ruling Asgard as it was swallowed by Ragnarok; Zemo sowed discord and ripped the Avengers apart from the inside, but was prevented from shooting himself and joining his family.
[BONUS:] In some of my movie reviews i talk about the characters and their stories in relation to Joseph Campbell’s Heroic Monomyth. And, i dunno, i suppose it my complete emotional roller coaster watching this film along with all the geek out moments, i completely missed its inclusion in this, given that the beginning of the monomyth takes place before the beginning of this film. I was delighted to find it pointed out to me in this post by The Screen Junkies - The Dailies Facebook. It’s a really good breakdown of the way the writers (maybe intentionally) incorporated the Heroic Monomyth in Infinity War despite it featuring like 7000 characters and all of Hollywood. :)
