mekanik kommando - it would be quiet in the woods if only a few birds sing - new vinyl reissue from Tonefloat*

Considered one of the key albums of the Netherlands post punk / cold wave / ultra-movement, we welcome a new 180 grams audiophile edition (pressed by Optimal in Germany) of Mekanik Kommando’s debut album It Would Be Quiet In The Woods If Only A Few Birds Sing. Carefully remastered for vinyl by original members Laszlo Panyigay en Peter van Vliet, with assistance from Ray Steeg.

Live dates, the first in over three decades will follow, starting with an in-store performance during the April edition of the Utrecht record show, on Saturday the 8th, plus dates in Haarlem, Nijmegen, Rotterdam and other cities to follow throughout the year.  Please visit the band’s facebook page for details and links to performances.

The LP will be out April 7, 2017 with pre-orders available now. A special box set edition limited to 40 copies with vinyl, cd, t-shirt and autographs by all four original members Mirjam van Hout, Laszlo Panyigay, Peter van Vliet and Simon van Vliet is also available exclusively from us.
