Ryomen Sukuna (q&a official fanbook)
Tumblr media
"I will give you a taste of my abilities".
Level: cursed object
Skills: ”◼️”, dissection (dismantle), gash (cleave); domain expansion: Demonic Reliquary (Malevolent Shrine); Reverse Cursed Technique
He likes it/hobbies: eat
Dislikes: nothing in particular (he doesn't care about anything except himself).
Q&A about Sukuna
Q: It was said of Sukuna that he was a real human. Was he by any chance a dark sorcerer when he was alive?
A: To be sure, he was, but I think he was closer to a natural disaster.
Q: Does he have memories of when he was a human?
A: More or less, but it is not clear whether the people around him perceived him as “human” this also applies to Sukuna's perception of himself.
Q: When he was human, was he feared like Gojo is today?
A: He cannot be compared to Gojo. That doesn't mean he wasn't feared, the point is that in the past both dark sorcerers and curses were much more ferocious than today. It is as if they slowly calmed down and then started to heat up again after Gojo's birth.
Q: When he was human, how was he treated by the people around him?
A: They were all terrified of Sukuna. Both before and after he became a cursed object, he was always known as the “King of Curses”.
Q: What is Sukuna's greatest pleasure?
A: Eating.
Q: What do his fingers taste like?
A: Since they're from adipocere, it should be a taste similar to soap...
Q: When Itadori died, was there any effect on Sukuna inside him?
A: No. There was still time for Sukuna to resurrect him with the reversal technique. However, if a little more time had passed, Sukuna would also have died.
Q: Is his field of vision connected not only with Itadori, but also with the curses that have absorbed his fingers?
A: If a finger is sealed or absorbed by a cursed spirit, Sukuna can gather almost no information from the finger. He can only sense whether the finger is close or not. If a finger is not sealed, Sukuna has a general idea of the situation around it. That's why he commented “That's good” when Fushiguro fought against the curse at the Yasohachi Bridge.
Q: Did Sukuna have a wife and children when he was alive?
A: No. He had only Uraume to serve him.
Q: How much do humans know about Sukuna's technique?
A: For those who have read the various testimonies, there is a lot about sharp attacks. However, it is possible that some do not know about the flames.
Q: Gojo said that Itadori is also a tracker of Sukuna's fingers. Is his statement correct?
A: The only thing he was wrong about was the fact that Sukuna was trying to regain his power by collecting fingers.
Q: In some places in Japan, the real Ryomen Sukuna is considered a hero and is also the name of a local product*. Will this situation be reflected in your work?
A: No. The character of Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen is as powerful as the real Sukuna, but has no other connection to the real Sukuna.
Q: Did you intend to bring in Ryomen Sukuna when you made Volume 0?
A: No, not at all!
*The Sukuna gourd that grows in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture.
(maybe there is someone who might be interested in this: in the past I have also translated other official fanbook pages of some characters, for example gojo and megumi together with other characters. if you are interested in reading them, you can find them on my profile/blog)

Q&A about Gojo Satoru (Jjk official fanbook)
Tumblr media
Q: Who is the strongest character to appear?
A: Gojo.
Q: What was Gojo's business trip when Itadori and the others were sent to the juvenile detention centre?
A: It was a business trip within the country. A first-level sorcerer had disappeared during a mission, so he had to go there to clean up the mess.
Q: Why does he sometimes wear sunglasses and sometimes a blindfold?
A: It depends on his mood. Maybe he wears sunglasses when he has to meet girls.
Q: I can't imagine Gojo-sensei when he was a student, so I'd like to hear at least a couple of anecdotes about Gojo and Geto as young boys.
A: You'll see them in action soon.
Q: Is Gojo aware that Utahime Iori hates him?
A: No, he thinks her bad answers are a joke.
Q: Can he do household chores, like cooking?
A: Yes. Since most sorcerers are single, they all know how to do (more or less) daily chores.
Q: In volume 0, Geto says to Gojo: "At least in my last moments let me feel some curse, damn it!", will Gojo's sentence be revealed one day?
A: It is said within volume 0.

Geto Suguru (q&a official fanbook)
Tumblr media
"We will finally put an end to the age of apes and build the paradise of sorcerers."
Age: 27 years old
Birthday: 3 February
Level: special level black sorcerer
Enrolment modalities: scouting
Technique: manipulation of cursed spirits
Skills: extreme Vortex main technique (Maximum: Uzumaki); cursed spirit used: incarnation of Tamamo no Mae; rainbow dragon and others
Hobbies/special skills: martial arts
Favourite food: cold soba (zaru soba)*
Food he dislikes: none
Source of stress: ingestion of cursed spirits
*probable pun on the fact that zaru sounds similar to saru (monkey)
q&a about Geto
Q: How did your character come about?
A: I wanted to draw a guy with an extremist way of thinking.
Q: What is the origin of his name?
A: The ski resort of Geto Kogen.
Q: What did you pay particular attention to when drawing the character of Geto?
A: The tuft in front of him.
Q: Can the technique of manipulating cursed spirits reassemble or unite them?
A: It can, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to do so, because controlling the technique of powerful cursed spirits is more complicated, so it's better to focus on quantity rather than quality, such as in the extreme Vortex technique (Maximum: Uzumaki) which merges several spirits together to make a power attack.
Q: Does Geto know Ijichi?
A: Yes, but when Ijichi enrolled at the school Geto was already in the period when he felt exhausted, so I don't think they ever interacted.
Q: Did he really go to eat crêpes with Mimiko and Nanako in Takeshita-dōri (Takeshita Street)?
A: He only ate a couple of bites that the girls offered him. After dropping out of high school, Geto did everything he could to get food, clothes and shelter without having anything to do with those without powers. However, he did not force the other members of his family to do the same.
Q: Gojo is very popular among women, is Geto too?
A: Geto is even more popular.
Q: Does he know the characteristics of every single curse he has ingested?
A: Yes.
Q: How does he find powerful curses and vengeful spirits to use as pawns?
A: Kind of like on Suiyo Special*.
Q: Is the fact that he calls those without powers "monkeys" due to Toji Fushiguro's statement "Did you lose to a monkey like me who doesn't know how to use sorcery?"
A: Exactly! Only he was unconscious at the time, so let's say he absorbed the words in his sleep.
Q: After Toji's death, what did the cursed spirit say that he can store objects?
A: Probably "mother".
Q: Did his personality change from when he was a student to the time of the Demonic Procession (Night Parade of Hundred Demons)?
A: Quite a bit. Ever since he dropped out of school, he has done nothing but repeat to himself, "I hate the without powers."
Q: During the Shibuya incident, the fake Geto's hand moved on its own. How much of Geto's will remains?
A: Not much. It's like when a dragonfly keeps moving after having its head ripped off.
*Suiyo Spcial: famous television series aired from 1978 to 1988, each time featuring an expedition to little-explored places in search of mysterious creatures.
(little clarification: English is not my native language, so there may be some grammatical errors).

Q&A about some characters (Jjk Official Fanbook)
Tumblr media
Q: Who are the most popular male and female with the opposite sex?
A: Geto and Miwa.
Q: Among the Jujutsu High characters, the sorcerers and black sorcerers, are any of them married?
A: Masamichi Yaga, divorced.
Q: Who is the one who drinks the most, who is the one who becomes annoying when drunk, and who is the one who cannot hold the liquor?
A: The big drinkers are: Shoko Ieiri and Kento Nanami. The heavy drinkers are: Utahime followed by Naobito. The non-drinkers are Gojo (and all underage characters are obviously excluded).
Q: Do Itadori and first-years go out together a lot on their days off? (For example, to go to karaoke, to Chinatown, to Tachikawa City, etc.).
A: Yes, they do go out together a lot but (including second-year students) they tend to separate male and female students.
Q: Of the first-years, Itadori is the best at cooking, but who wins between Fushiguro and Kugisaki?
A: They're more or less on the same level. Both can cook to a certain extent.
Tumblr media
Yuji Itadori
Q: In Chapter 4, Itadori says that he is not very popular with the girls, but what is the reason?
A: Apparently the girls who fall in love with Itadori are not the type to talk about their feelings to the people around them. Not even Itadori himself, of course.
Q: In volume 2, in the extra “Walking with the Institute of Occult Arts” he went to karaoke. I'm curious to know what he sang. And I'd also like to know the singing skills of each character.
A: Itadori is the best one. This is due to a prejudice of mine that people who can do imitations are also good at singing.
Q: In Chapter 34 he said: what if I became even more stupid? Maybe Itadori is not good at studying?
A: He is not good at maths (arithmetic?), while he is quite average in subjects where he just has to learn by heart.
Megumi Fushiguro
Q: When did Fushiguro and Gojo meet?
A: A long time ago. Fushiguro is related to the Zenin family and the Zenin family is related to the Gojo family and the Jujutsu High. This is the point of contact.
Q: Fushiguro often touches his left shoulder, is there something wrong with his shoulder?
A: It's just a habit. I think it even started at the time of writing the storyboard for the series pilot.
Q: Fushiguro uses shikigami through shadows, but how many animal images can he learn to create with his hands?
A: Excluding the propagation technique, there are ten types of shikigami.
Q: Why is Fushiguro's father resistant to curses even though he has no evil energy?
A: Papaguro's divine baptism (Heavenly Restricted) is stronger than Maki's. While Maki has the same evil energy as a normal person, papaguro's is zero. The reason why Maki is not resistant to curses while papaguro is yes, is that the latter's divine baptism (Heavenly Restricted) has strengthened him to such an extent that his eyesight is exceptional and his stomach is extremely strong. This means that his eyes can see curses and his body is fine, even though he has a cursed spirit in his stomach. His baptism of God (Heavenly Restricted) is the rarest of all; the fact that he has totally eliminated evil energy paradoxically makes papaguro resistant to curses.

Megumi Fushiguro (Jjk official fanbook)
Tumblr media
"Even if I were to put my life at risk, I am not even thinking of throwing it away."
Age: 15 years old
Birthday: 22 December
Level: 2nd level sorcerer
Enrolment modalities: family lineage
Technique: Technique of the ten shadows
Ability: Technique of the ten shadows, Jade Dogs (white), (black), (turbid), Chimera, Snake, Toad, Elephant, Rabbits on the Run, Bottomless Pit; Domain Expansion: Garden of Shadows.
Hobby: read
Favourite food: anything that goes well with ginger
Food he doesn’t like: peppers (and sweet side dishes in general)
Source of stress: people (90% of the time)
His type: there is no particular type (as long as she has an incorruptible humanity).
Q: Is Fushiguro saddened when one of his shikigami is destroyed?
A: In his own way he is very sorry. Fushiguro is that type person that he seems more sad when an animal die rather than a human.
Q: Is he the type who takes an interest in other people's love affairs?
A: Rather than being interested, let's say he likes to check whether he got it right or not
Q: In what way would he reject a girl who declares herself to him?
A: “Sorryyyyyyyy!”
Q: Does he watch newspapers and read the news?
A: He watches and reads, but he think that the half of the informations are a lie.
Q: What was the first mission in absolute and who assigned it to him?
A: It was something suitable for him according to Gojo. But maybe Gojo was mocking him.
Q: Who taught Megumi the martial arts and how to handle arms?
A: Gojo and Maki.
Q: When he was in the middle school, which was the episode as a problematic guy most scandalous?
A: The “case of the perfectly healthy young offenders hanging from a banner”.
Q: Apart from your former classmate, did any of your other friends die?
A: I think so. At that point in history, Fushiguro had already had quite a long career as a sorcerer.
Q: How did Megumi and Tsumiki cope after their parents disappeared?
A: Crucially, Tsumiki took care of all the household chores and Megumi helped her. When the reminders to pay bills began to arrive, Gojo stepped in and settled the debts before the (small) amount of money left to the two kids by Tsumiki's mother ran out.
Q: He immediately remembered the names of his classmates. Did he by any chance hang out with them a lot in his middle school days?
A: He just has a good memory.
Q: How did he become so perceptive?
A: Maybe is because he has a negative vision rather of the world and he is basically someone who does not trust others.
Q: Why is Inumaki is not included in his list of senpai to be respected?
A: Because Inumaki joins the antics of Panda and Gojo all too quickly.
Q: Has he ever laughed so hard that he cried?
A: I don't think so.
Q: How was he treated as a sorcerer before he entered the Institute of Occult Arts? Was he ever assigned missions?
A: He was never assigned missions, Gojo, to whom he was entrusted, would drop by every so often to see what he was doing and take him on missions with him.
Q: Is the tablet used by Fushiguro his personal device?
A: It belongs to the Institute. The management assistants who move with him lend it to him when necessary.
Q: Did he know Maki and Mai before he even entered the Institute?
A: Yes. When Gojo was working on solving the problem of Megumi's connection with the Zenin, he showed up at the clan house with the boy, so I think that's when they first met.
Q: Is there a reason why he hates peppers?
A: He doesn't like sweet side dishes.
Q: Is there anything in particular that you focus on regarding your character design?
A: His profile looks too much like Itadori's if I'm not careful, I see this as my big failing.

Q&A about some characters (Jjk official fanbook)
Tumblr media
Nobara Kugisaki
Q: Is there a meaning in the heart engraved on her hammer?
A: No. She carved it herself when she was a child and just as she was beginning to regret it, her hammer broke (in chapter 7).
Q: Nobara's technique uses a part of the target's body as a conduit; is there a limit to the attack radius?
A: The radius limit is a secondary aspect, the size and value of the target part is more important.
Yuta Okkotsu
Q: What is Yuta doing abroad?
A: It is a secret. But the person who knows it appeared a short while ago on a certain front page together with that other person who knows it.
Is Okkotsu part of the four special level sorcerers?
Yes.
Q: Will Okkotsu as senpai appear in the future in the main story? I want to see how those in the first year interact. I want to see him act more!
A: He will appear.
Toge Inumaki
Q: When did you come up with the idea of Inumaki talking by listing the ingredients of onigiri?
A: A long time ago, I thought it would be funny to have a character who gets angry and shouts “tuna with mayonnaise” angrily!
Maki Zenin
Q: She not only uses swords but also akido. Does Maki's fighting style come from a particular school of martial arts?
A: It's more of a mix of various things. The way she uses swords is more like kung fu than Miwa.
Panda
Q: What does he do when he has to go to a public place?
A: If he has to move from one place to another among normal people, he pretends to be a puppet and gets carried away, or he pretends to wear a costume and moves accordingly.
Q: Did Panda attend a kindergarten or at least a school for wizards before Jujutsu High School?
A: He did not. What you see in Chapter 39 was the room the headmaster had built for him.
Q: Does Panda senpai poop?
A: No. The nappy we see on him when he was little was made for him to wear by the headmaster (because he was cute).

Yuji Itadori (Jjk Official Fanbook)
Tumblr media
“I have already decided how my life will end.”
Age: 15 years old
Birthday: 20 march
Birth place: Miyagi
Method of enrollment: scouting
Technique: none
Ability: divergent punch, he can use black lightning
Hobby/Particular capacity: karaoke, watching the TV, imitations
Favourite food: any kind of rice bowl with something on it, noodles
Food he doesn't like: none
Source of stress: scientific subjects (he failed molecular sciences)
His type: Jennifer Lawrence (tall girls with big butts)
Q: What is the originin of the his name?
A: The surname comes from a medicinal herb, Reynoutria Japonica, while I took the name from a classmate of mine. I tried to make the names as realistic as possible.
Q: His hair are dyed?
A: No, his hair are naturals.
Q: Does he usually talk to Sukuna?
A: I wouldn't say. The two of them don't get along at all.
Q: Seems that Sukuna talks frequently when he is alone. Can he sleep at night?
A: Yes, he has no problem. Itadori can sleep comfortably also on the asphalt of the Tomei Expressway (which connects Tokyo to Nagoya).
Q: What would happen if Itadori, who has a strong resistance to curses, ate an cursed uterus Kusozu?
A: In the case that he ingested a Kusozu instead of Sukuna, the consciousness of the cursed womb would disappear and become evil energy inside of Itadori. If on the other hand, he ingested it now that he had already assimilated Sukuna, the Kusozu would be erased from the curse.
Q: Itadori practices martial arts?
A: No, none in particular. He learned some karate from his grandfather. Even the "manji-geri" we see in volume 14 was merely the best move he could think of using at that time.
Q: Which are the movies that Itadori saw during his training with Gojo?
A: I don’t remember well… I think was Léon, The Descent, The Host, Yuki yukite shingun. The film that Gojo anticipates is Deep Blue.
Q: Is there something that Itadori can’t absolutely tolerate?
A: A disgusting wickedness.
Q: Does Itadori have friends other than those at the Occult Arts Institute? Does he still in contact with his friends from middle school or his hometown?
A: He had friends like everyone else but since he only started having a cell phone after he got to the institute, you can imagine how it continued.
Q: Which type of job would make Itadori do if he had not become a sorcerer?
A: He probably would have become a firefighter.
Q: Does he have a favourite tv show or a preferred genre?
A: I imagine him like a omnivore, one who leaves the TV on and he watches it continually.
Q: Is he the type who always does homework for school is vacation homework?
A: He is the type that does his homework the day before. Anyway, even if he does his homework at the last minute, he always turns it in.
Q: What event in his hometown caused him to be called "the tiger of the Nishi School?"
A: I never thought about it. Maybe some students had tried to pick a fight with him thinking they would win and he beat them up, or he routed thugs to save someone and then people started talking.
Q: If Itadori and Todo were not sorcerers but went to the same middle school, would they have become good friends?
A: Yes, I think they would have both felt sympathy one way or another.
Q: How did Itadori feel when Yuko Ozawa asked him to take a picture together at the graduation ceremony?
A: “Ah, a photo, eh? Okay!”
Q: Itadori seems to have many hoodies. Is this a part of his character design that he particularly cares about?
A: I wouldn't say, it is just that I am used to drawing him with a hood.
Q: You once said that you don't like Itadori very much. Why choose as the main character a character with whom you have difficulty?
A: It's not that I don't like him, it's just that I'm not good at handling him and I'm trying to improve in that respect. Incidentally, given the trend, I'm well on my way to giving him a bad end.
(this translation is from italian to english, so there might be some grammatical mistakes (or maybe not). anyway i decided to start translating some pages of jjk's official fanbook because i love jjk and i would like to improve my english. you can reblog my translations no problem; it actually makes me happy to know that someone finds what i translate interesting. anyway if you decide to reblog, i would like you to use the hashtag i use, so: tomokotranslates or tomoko's translations or even both, as you prefer)

✨ Please read ✨ 💁🏻‍♀️
This is my translation from Italian to English, I probably made some mistakes, but I want to specify that sometimes, some words that are in my language do not have a translation in English and the same is also true from English to Italian. I translated the first page of Jjk's fanbook (if you are wondering: yes, I bought it) because: 1 I love Jjk and 2 I want to improve my English. For me this is a kind of improvement exercise. I will translate the pages of the characters I like and also the curiosities or some facts. At the beginning I thought about translating all the pages (lol) but it's impossible. Anyway if you have any requests or you want to have a translation in English I'm willing to translate (you have to bear in mind that it can take some time.) If you want to share my translations you can, no problem, but I would like you to use the hashtag I use: #tomokotranslates
thank you ✨
