Tomoya had never understood birthdays. Well, that was until Kazuha came into picture. Because who would they be if they didn't celebrate the most important person in their life. Truly blessed to wake up by his side, knowing that they are loved as much as they love. Now Tomo gets all the thrill people mention, why birthdays can be so important.

"Hey, beautiful." The sweetest hum leaves Tomoya's lips, leaning against his arm as a quick peck is placed over those rosy lips of his. "Happy Birthday, babe. Got a lil something for ya."

A white box laced in yellows contain the gift in question: a beautiful handmade hair ornament with a red jewel in the middle, one that happens to match with his eyes. Small golden details set around it as some pieces try to imitate the sakura petals. It's not perfect but all their love and effort was put in a single item. The result of hours of non stop work.

"Here, open it."

A protest was on the tip of Kazuha’s tongue to tell Tomo they didn’t have to get him anything for his birthday. Just spending time with the electro user was more than enough. But seeing the way Tomo’s eyes lit up meant they put a lot of effort into the gift.

Being careful as he unwrapped the small box Kazuha couldn’t help the gasp seeing what was inside. The details on the hair ornament were beautiful and Kazuha could see not everything was perfect which meant Tomo made it by hand. Now everything made sense, why Tomo was going off on their own, staying up late and tinkering away in their corner of the tent and being protective whenever Kazuha asked.

Kazuha was overwhelmed by this gift clearly made with love. Stepping closer to bury his face in Tomo’s chest.
