You know what? I bet Margaret and Philip Buckley would get along great with Tommy.

In fact, if they had to choose a man for their son to date, it would actually probably be Tommy Kinard.

He insists on calling Evan by his proper name, for one. He doesn't encourage any of Evan's silly shenanigans. He agrees with them that Evan is too excitable and that he should learn to tone it down. And whenever Evan starts going on about his firehouse found family, Tommy helps remind him that he already has a real family.

Tommy speaks their (passive aggressive) language fluently – something Evan never quite managed to pick up – and he's a fair bit older too, which means that they can trust him to keep Evan in check.

Yeah, the Buckleys would happily give Tommy their seal of approval.

I hope in season 8 we get the entire 118 being obsessed with tommy to the point where buck has to tell them to back off because he’s had to actually schedule boyfriend time because they keep popping in or showing up wherever they’re going out to dinner. chimney loves to go to movies with tommy, loves to hear his stories, thinks he’s so freakin cool. hen is convinced she somehow made buck and tommy a thing, because even though chimney got to tommy first to fly into the hurricane, she’s the reason the idea was in his head in the first place. karen also loves going on double dates with the boys and she got tommys number so she schedules the dates with him without buck knowing. eddie already liked tommy and they all three hang together but “when you and buck both do Muay Thai you end up leaving early every time so he’s banned from joining at least once a week.” buck thought bobby was a safe space to go complain about the others taking up their time, but bobby found out tommy loves a good mystery so he tells buck he ordered a murder mystery game and he and tommy have to come over for dinner and games. tommy promises they’ll leave by 9 so they have some alone time but soon enough it’s 11:30pm, buck and athena are in the living room half asleep with the tv on low while bobby and tommy are arguing about whether the ex-boyfriend or the circus clown committed the crime!
