its like talking to a wall if the wall had a permanent judgemental and upset neutral expression

orrrr both roman and Tomas suck at talking

roman cus he gets frustrated very easily the second he doesn't get what he wants (in this case it would just be to have a semi vulnerable conversation with Tomas)

and Tomas sucks at talking in the more literal way that he doesn't really think he has anything to add to Romans lengthy vent monologue so he doesn't say or do anything and since he's also the most inexpensive mf on planet earth he jsut stares at roman like that and it drives him crazyyyyy (which is fair tbh )

they get better later but in this drawing they would be at the point where roman is trying very desperately to improve himself and Tomas has no interest in doing that and since poor roman kinda has no one else to talk to that sorta ends up holding him back from overcoming a lot of shit too

a lot of these drawings I do make out Tomas to sound like he's the guy with the most issues but that's only cus I don't really draw pre murder roman, that guy, well he killed someone with his bare hands guys. present roman is overwhelmed by guilt that's why he tries to be #wholesome, he had a pretty rough wake up call already and is working on himself but he's not that innocent yall
