Meeting Aredhel in Valinor hc
Aredhel x fem!reader
(Reader is Legolas' older sister, i just thought this would be a nice idea)
This takes place AFTER all of the events that happen in middle-earth
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Tumblr media
Warnings: indirect mentiones of Eöl, slightly mentioned sexual content
♡ You meet in a forest when Aredhel was hunting
♡ She was lost and had panicked a bit, as it reminded her of past unpleasant events in the forest (you probably know what I'm talking about)
♡ but then she sees you
♡ Your hair flies like leaves in the wind and you seem to interact with nature in such a natural way
♡ Aredhel immediately noticed that you weren't using any enchantments, which put her at ease
♡ The sight of you made her relax a little, and for a while she just looked at you and tried to calm down further
♡ At some point, however, you noticed her and smiled at her
♡ You two didn't say much to each other during this first encounter
♡ You just showed her the way out of the forest (most of the elves from Mirkwood and some from Imladris had settled in this forest) and exchanged a few nice words with her
♡ But soon she came looking for you in the forest and so you meet again and again
♡ Aredhel seeks out affection by resting her head on your shoulder or holding your hands in hers
♡ Most of the time your encounters end with you lying in a tight embrace on the forest floor or leaning against a tree while you talk about anything and everything
♡ Sometimes you meet at night and climb up into the branches of big trees where you look at the stars together
♡ You tell her a lot about the stars and their light, as the wood elves have accumulated a lot of knowledge about them
♡ It is also on such an evening under the stars that she tells you how she feels about you
♡ It takes a long time for Aredhel to admit this to herself, as she is afraid of commitment after all that had happend, but she has finally realised that she no longer has to hide from her feelings for you as you would never use them against her or hurt her
♡ However, she wants you to take things slowly
♡ Firstly, she wants you to get to know Maeglin because he's her son and she wants you to get along too
Maeglin is a little sceptical at first, but only because he doesn't want his mother to get hurt again, but soon you get on well and he starts to treat you like a member of the family
♡ You often go hunting with Aredhel and Celegorm and soon he and Curufin are good friends of yours too
♡ Aredhel immediately gets along with Legolas, your brother, as they both like to use bows and arrows as weapons and can exchange ideas about different techniques
♡ She's getting braver in your relationship and now sometimes sneaks to your bedroom window at night to spend a few extra hours with you
♡ She weaves you a bracelet out of flowers when she asks you if you want to court her - you immediately agree, of course
♡ Later, she replaces the flower bracelet, which you were still wearing despite the withered flowers, with a metal one she had asked Curufin to make
♡ Afterwards, you begin to exchange more tender touches, as Aredhel is now ready to go further in your relationship
♡ When you meet her family for the first time, you are very nervous as you have heard a lot about them, but they all like you very much
♡ Especially Fingolfin and Anairë, as they are happy that Aredhel has finally found someone she really loves, you get on best with Argon, though, and you become best friends
♡ When you introduce Aredhel to your father Thranduil for the first time, he is a little sceptical, but your mother likes Aredhel immediately and welcomes her with open arms
♡ When you finally get married and sleep together as a result, she is very gentle and you spend the whole next morning cuddling together
♡ Your wedding took place in the part of the forest where you met for the first time
♡ For your wedding, Oromë gave you a big brown dog (slightly smaller than Huan) who accompanied you two everywhere from then on
♡ the Valar offer Aredhel and you, if you want, that they would give you two another child (because you practically adopted Maeglin at this point)
♡ Over time, Thranduil also warms up more and more and at some point tells you and Aredhel how happy he is that you have each other (he was just afraid that his daughter's heart would be broken) - he and Aredhel even become good friends after a while
♡ And so your life in Valinor with your wonderful family went on peacefully, and every day was a new adventure with Aredhel by your side

I won't write about Galadriel. Listen, I think Galadriel's actress from RoP is absolutely stunning, but firstly I still haven't watched the show, and secondly, when I first watched LotR as a child I always saw Galadriel as this wise grandmotherly figure. So writing for her would feel a bit strange, I am very sorry.

Enough
Pairing: Lalwen x fem!reader
Summary: Reader confesses her love to Lalwen but fears she is not enough for her.
A/N: I'm sorry, this is by far not as good as I wanted it to be, but I haven't really slept this night and on top of that I'm sick, so that is all I can manage for a fic at the moment. Maybe I will try myself on some headcanons later this day, but I'm not sure. Hope you will still enjoy this!
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
You could feel Lalwen's gentle fingers sliding through your slightly knotted hair and occasionally brushing your scalp. You struggled to stifle a whimper.
It had been really windy when you had made your way to her and your plait had been all tousled, so Lalwen had offered to rebraid your hair.
Before you could protest, she had already made you sit on her bed, dropped onto it behind you and then her hands were already in your hair.
The thing was, you'd been noticing for a while that you blushed and generally felt different around Lalwen. Some time ago you then had realised that it was because you had fallen in love with her.
You had been friends for some time but you were nothing more than that, friends. And by now you really wished you were more.
You knew that she would probably marry a noble elven man one day and the thought hurt a lot. Sure, if Lalwen was happier that way, you would be happy for her, but you knew your heart would break into several pieces.
"Is everything okay?" Lalwen asked suddenly, and goose bumps appeared on your arms as you felt her breath on the skin behind your ear.
But before you could answer 'yes', she said, "And do not tell me you are okay now, because I know you are not. You have been behaving strangely for a few weeks now."
She stroked your hair gently. "Please tell me what is wrong, I cannot bear to see you suffer like this."
"I- I cannot." you whispered softly and your eyes drifted to the floor. What if everything that was already between you ended now? You would rather just be her friend than lose her completely.
"Come on," she whispered, "please. You can trust me."
You sighed. "I just do not wish to ruin our friendship."
Lalwen put one of her hands on your cheek and made you look at her. "I do not think that is possible. Trust me."
Your faces were so close now that you could feel her breath on yours. You looked into her beautiful, encouraging eyes and leant forward.
The moment your lips touched hers, a fire of joy erupted in your belly, but it was short-lived because Lalwen broke away from you.
Immediately a knot formed in your chest. "I am sorry, I really did not mean to- "
"Well, you have already ruined our friendship," Lalwen said with a serious face.
You swallowed hard. "I- "
And then she kissed you again. "I meant," she said smiling now, taking your face in her hands, "that we are more than just friends now."
Your cheeks flushed and you smiled wider than you ever had before. "Oh."
Lalwen laughed and rested her forehead against yours. "I wish I had known that is what you were so nervous about. I have had so many ideas about how I wanted to confess my love to you, I would have just done it sooner knowing now how nervous this made you."
"But- but you deserve someone who- "you gulped. She was a princess of the Noldor. Lalwen-
"No one is as good as you. "she kissed you again and then whispered softly against your lips, "If I cannot have you, then there is no one for me, because no one is as good as you."
As you opened your mouth to respond, she pressed her lips to yours again to silence you.
You smiled softly into the kiss and let yourself fall more against her. You were really happy that you were enough for her. Because she was all that mattered to you.

Under the Trees
Pairing: Aredhel x fem!reader
Summary: The Reader shows Aredhel a birds nest she found earlier that day.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Tumblr media
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
The leaves above Aredhel's head rustled and she could hear your laughter in her ears.
You walked hand in hand through a small wood.
Every evening before dusk, Aredhel and you, her wife, went out to the woods to enjoy the nature.
"Come on," you said excitedly, "I found a bird's nest with newly hatched chicks earlier! You have to see it!"
Aredhel smiled as she continued to follow you through the forest. She was really happy to have a wife who seemed to appreciate nature as much as she did.
She loved those quiet moments with you. The way your hair blew back and forth as you ran and the way the sun sparkled in your eyes.
Your steps slowed, which told her you were almost there. You turned around and smiled gently at her, which never failed to make Aredhel's heart beat faster.
"Just over there," you whispered softly, leading her close to a small clearing that was already half in shadow as the sun was about to set. You pointed to the crown of a tree with a small nest hanging in its branches.
You could hear soft chirping from it.
"When did they hatch?" Aredhel asked excitedly, stretching her neck to get a better look.
You stood on your tiptoes. "Today, very early in the morning. I was lucky enough to witness it."
You watched the bird chicks for a while until you realised that Aredhel's eyes were already on something else. She was looking at you.
"What?" you asked playfully.
"Nothing, I just realised how lucky I am to have you by my side," she said gently, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you closer to her. Since you were still standing on tiptoes, you lost your balance and stumbled against her.
Aredhel let out a surprised noise, slipped on the leaves beneath her feet and you fell to the ground, laughing.
Your gaze briefly wandered up to the bird's nest, but apparently they were little disturbed by the noise you had made.
Aredhel left one arm around your waist, pulling you tighter against her, and placed the hand of her other arm on your cheek.
Then she pulled you close and her lips found yours.
When you separated again, you both had to catch your breath for a few seconds until Aredhel whispered softly: "You make me very happy, do you know that? There- there was a time in my life when I never expected to be this happy again."
"Oh Vanimelda," you whispered softly and stroked her hair, "I will never leave your side unless you want me to. I love you." Then you leant forward and kissed her gently on the tip of her nose.
Aredhel laughed again. "How could I not love you?" She said with nothing but love in her eyes.
