I went to bed before the ttpd set and truly thought twitter swifties were kidding about the onstage ECT enactment but seeing your post +the clip was so 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 seeing a lot of people appreciating the "theatrics" and joking about ECT (or getting #lobotomies) as if it isn't promoting a stereotypical view of an actually very helpful and promising procedure (plus what you said about it being historically used against people's consent, especially women of color)......so beyond disappointed.

i saw clips of her performing the ttpd set and was like oh okay cool and then, like an hour later, a full video of fortnight came up on youtube, clicked on it, and that happened within the first minute and my jaw just dropped, like.... that can't be what i think it was and i must be wrong because,,,, what. but no i like triple-checked and yep... that's what she's on stage doing. and it's the fact she's directly referencing old practices of ECT, the ones that were forced upon people, with the old-timey outfits. it's just so beyond wild to me and was so unnecessary...
