ABSOLUTELY DEVOURS : you would have never thought he would take this seriously, but he did. he prepares the frosting, asks you about where you want the candies to be put and what aesthetic you want to go for. he’s THE architect of gingerbread houses and trust, he will make that house the sturdiest one the earth has ever seen. don’t be fooled though, he’s still gonna dip his finger in that frosting and smudge it on your face, but not before he makes you happy by finishing the house.

tries his… best: he’s still sloppy with it, and the frosting melts until he understands what you want the house to look like, but he tries his best best — runs to put the melting frosting in the fridge in hopes of saving it, tries to be extra careful with his movements — but it all seems in vain. the house looks like an old shed that’s about to fall, but at least he made you laugh.

doesn’t take it seriously… at all: he’s not being mean on purpose, but he really can’t fathom building that gingerbread house successfully. the gingerbread smells funky, you’ve left him the task of preparing the frosting which in all honesty was the worst idea ever — it’s sloppy, it’s clumpy— and he’s already eaten half of the candies you guys were supposed to use as decor while you’re exasperating on the floor, next to him. but he looks at you, smiling, and you burst out laughing, rolling on the carpet and he joins too and you’re both left a giggling mess.

But when everyone is conversing and you catch Smiley joking around with you and you don’t find it funny at all

That boy swore he saw his last day

That is until Mitsuya comes by and hands you a bag of your favorite chips

Anger diminished

Crisis averted

Smiley can live to see another day

You turn to look for another snack when you see a pack of cookies waiting for you on the steps of the shrine

Then a few more steps and you see a drink

And then more snacks

What you’ll think of as a treasure hunt to find all of your snacks is actually Mitsuya leaving a bunch of snacks for you to distract you

That is until Hanma is paying for the groceries and items you two found when he hears a loud thump and a groan come from behind him

He turns to see you beating a grown man with a single pineapple

Where you found another he doesn’t know because the one you picked out was in his bag

He just watches you destroy the pineapple against the defenseless man because man, it was a sight to see

He only picks you up once he hears the man make a sexist comment

Hanma saw your eyes dart to the broom display a few feet away and he could only imagine what you were planning to do with those

Hakkai somehow wins them and walks out of the apartment with a smug smile on his face

Tenjiku: "dude the next-door neighbor is richer; let's rob them together"

it had been a complete accident

The boys in Tenjiku showed up at the WRONG HOUSE AGAIN, thanks to Shion's "bad directions"

"Think you're looking for the guy next door," you tell them, thumbing over to the house outside of the window

When they see the house across the street, there's a collective "oh" that goes around

Ran grabs Rindou and is halfway out the door when you tell Izana that you know how to get into his house, too

Kakucho picks up the potted plant that Mochi knocked over when they burst into your home on the way out

Mochi is the last one out, and he knocks over the plant again by accident (net zero good deeds done)

Shion likes to think that he's the best at getting inside a house, but Rindou proves him wrong every time (Rin uses the front door instead of attempting to use the chimney...?)

You follow the guys across the street because 1. you need money, and 2. you're already an accessory to a crime, why not just do the whole shebang?
