Happy birthday meme
can never forget Kaneki's birthday. but it seems like I forgot the one in Tokyo hahaha.
PS: It seems like I don't remember the birthdays of the Tokyo Ghoul characters, I guess they were on vacation. (as far as I remember he said something that we should remind him of on one of the characters' birthdays, that's what I remember) 2023 was a very productive year for Sui Ishida

Alright so, some stuffs related to character skills and ability in Tokyo Ghoul Break the Chains that I think is neat
Anteiku
Mr. Yoshimura's skill damage is based on his HP instead of attack, which makes him extremely bulky for an attacker unit
Hinami is the only healer in the entire game, which highlights how special she is because she was the only chimera ghoul in the series until Nutcracker. Even though she is a healer, she heals based on the damage that she inflicts, thus she is both good at attacking and supporting
Ms. Fueguchi's skill is taking half the damage when her allies are attacked, which fits her role in the series and makes she a good pair up with Hinami
Kaneki is one of the strongest units in game. He is quite bulky because he can heal himself based on the damage he inflicts, and his skills is very versatile, he can take on the enemies that has the upper hand against him
Helter Skelter gang
Since Itori and Uta and Nico didn't reveal their kagunes during season 1 and 2 (which is the base of this game), they are support units that can buff their allies
Aogiri Tree
And guess whose skills get stronger the more buffs they have? Yeah, Yomo.
CCG
Houji's skills are inflicting and spreading debuffs to opponents. And his debuff's name is scorched so that means HouTata is real. Okay sorry.
Tatara's skills get stronger when his opponent has debuffs, which makes him a good pair up with Ayato (inflict debuffs to all opponents automatically) and yeah, Houji
Nico is a supporter made for Aogiri Team

Of the TG polyships you like. Do you have any headcanons?
OMG thank you for asking!! i have about four tg polyships that i particularly enjoy, and three out of the four are rareships, ie. ones that i don't really see others talk about much, if at all. they are rizemayukana, seiakirona, mutsaurie, and shiramutsurie. i am going to make this post into multiple parts (will be connected by reblogs) bc of how long it has gotten from just one of the polyships in particular. and, also, i'm having a hard time getting everything out for everyone all at once!! i'll update as i feel the urge to :3 rizemayukana under the cut!! stay tuned for more <3
RizeMayuKana (Rize Kamishiro x Mayu / Nutcracker x Kanae von Rosewald)
i view mayu as being the physically strongest out of the three. my body headcanon for her is that she is a little bit of a muscular woman, not super buff but visibly muscular, especially when flexing. kanae is a little bit stronger than rize, leaving rize as the "weakest" (which she makes up for with usage of her kagune). all of that being said, i think there is a picture out there somewhere of mayu with kanae and rize perched on her hips. in it, rize has her arms wrapped around mayu's neck and her head is back as she's laughing, and kanae's arms are the same but they have their face buried in mayu's neck to hide their beet red cheeks. mayu's got a mischievous/proud smile on her face as she holds them up. it's mayu's favorite picture of the three of them, and she has it as her phone background.
kanae always tries to match a part of their outfit to their girlfriends' when they go out together. it's funny because rize and mayu don't ever match each other, because their styles are so different, but kanae wants to incorporate both of them into their outfit. it's a very sweet, very butch, gesture. they want to make sure those who look at the three of them know what they're all about, that they're together. the matching aspects of kanae's outfits can be as small as a decorative handkerchief in their breast pocket matching the pattern of rize's dress and some cufflinks matching the style of mayu's jewelry, or a full suit matching the most prominent color from rize's outfit, and the most prominent color from mayu's outfit. the way they walk down the street when this happens is a way meant to accentuate how much kanae is the middle ground between rize and mayu's outfits, ie. kanae in the center with rize on one arm and mayu on the other. it flusters kanae a bit, to be in public with two beautiful women on their arms, as it draws attention, but it also fills them with a sense of pride!
their movie nights are rather interesting. they all have pretty contradicting tastes. rize is mostly into thriller/drama, mayu is mostly into horror and kanae is mostly into historical fiction. there's a cycle they go through on movie night. it goes rize's movie first, mayu's movie second, kanae's movie third, and then a movie they all choose together last. sometimes they don't manage to get through all four movies in one night, so one or two have to be pushed to the next night to finish. that's okay, though, any excuse to hang out with each other more is appreciated. the differences in all of their tastes helps the three of them expand their interests, and all of them have gone into a movie they thought they would dislike and then come out on the other side having enjoyed it a lot. i think a movie that is a collective favorite amongst them all is park chan-wook's "the handmaiden," as it mixes all of their favorite genres quite well >:))
in a no ghoul AU, i think that rize owns a bookshop in tokyo with a small flower shop built into it out front. kanae works in the flower shop part time. part time because they also go to university for music (violin) and that takes up a lot of their time. there are a few others who work in the flower shop part time too, but kanae is rize's best employee. they are particularly skiled at caring for the flowers and putting together bouquets. i think that kanae actually nervously asked rize on a date with a bouquet made up of flowers matching rize's favorite colors, and after about three or four dates, they decided to be together. they keep their relationship status very quiet at work because rize doesn't want any of her other employees to think she is picking favorites, and kanae is a very private person when it comes to that stuff anyways due to shyness. mayu owns a tattoo and piercing parlor in tokyo as well. i think her and rize actually met a convention in tokyo meant for women who are business owners. their styles and businesses couldn't have been any more different from one another, but they were drawn to each other anyways. mayu and rize really hit it off at the function, and exchanged business cards with their personal numbers scribbled on the back in pen. they texted with each other a lot over the next several weeks, and rize shared about their partner kanae and how she'd like to introduce mayu to them as well. the same conversation was had with kanae. both of them were down for it. the first meeting of them all together was at a coffee shop (perhaps :re?), and kanae and mayu actually hit it off just as much as rize and mayu had. their second meeting was at mayu's parlor, for rize to get a small floral tattoo on her collarbone and for kanae to get their ears pierced. someone else did rize's tattoo but mayu did kanae's ears, and they got to know each other a bit more through this. this led to their polycule!!

TIMOTHY 2:13 - ADAM WAS FIRST FORMED, THEN EVE.
Inori Seisho is a woman who joined The Clowns during the Tokyo Ghoul RE timeline. Her attitude is rather docile and unbothered, outside of being a ghoul she upholds the idea of what men seek in a traditional Japanese wife. Her upbringing brought her little to no hardship, a peaceful background, her parents and siblings are still alive and well. Inori could even be considered a sheltered child. In her late teens she finally ventured out on her own and ended up getting mixed up with the ghoul crime boss Choki, with her never being exposed to people like him, Inori took to his false promises and ended up working under him as a call girl. Unlike most of the women who worked for Choki, Inori became a high end escort. She won’t admit it, but she actually enjoyed doing sex work. After Choki’s death, Inori ended up working in the same club as Mayu ( Nutcracker ). After the events of the Auction Arc, Inori joined the Clowns.
Once Donato had been broken out of Cochela, Uta came to Inori with a favor. He asked her to work directly under Donato and to help him settle in. Inori took this a bit too literally and resorted to what she knows best, providing him with the type of comfort she used to get paid for. Donato ended up denying her sexual advances, instead asking her if there was another way to fulfil what Uta had asked her to do. She asked if Donato would be interested in eating her, a fantasy which she had never gotten the chance to live out. After further explanation of it, Donato’s curiosity was snatched, and it didn’t take much convincing. He ate away at her flesh from her shoulder, devouring his fill. Initially Inori had believed she wouldn’t form any connection to Donato, she was just there to do her job. The act ended up giving her pleasure she’s never experienced before, this is what caused her to become infatuated with him. Inori formed an obsession with him, she lives to please him.
With Inori stuck to his side, Donato shaped her to be a perfect assistant to him. Her attire was changed to exclusively clothes nuns wore, with some altercations to fit her preference. Wherever Donato goes, she’s close behind, awaiting a request from him. She was later labeled as the “Sister Ghoul” and “The Nun” by the CCG due to her clothing and commonly being spotted with Donato.
below the cut is art of Inori.

Love Me... Until the End
Chapter 39
This is a Yandere Tokyo Ghoul x Female Reader Fic!
MDNI!!
Shirazu adjusted the glasses resting on his nose, trying to appear more composed than usual. “So, as the leader of the ‘Shirazu Squad,’ I’ve got to ask—got any tips on how we go about finding our next target?”
Before Haise could respond, he plucked the glasses off Shirazu’s face, interrupting the act.
“Hey! What’d you do that for? These were a gift!” Shirazu snapped, glaring at him.
“They don’t suit you,” Haise said simply, ignoring Shirazu’s protests.
Mutsuki chuckled. “The target is called Nutcracker, right? Weird name for a ghoul.”
“She’s active in the red-light district,” Haise explained, slipping the glasses into his coat pocket. “According to the doctor, she’s believed to be S-rated, but it’s under review.”
“Why Nutcracker?” Mutsuki asked, tilting his head.
“Apparently, she has a… preference for crushing the testicles of her victims,” Haise replied, his tone detached.
Shirazu winced. “That sounds horrific.”
“Oh, by the way,” Haise said, turning to Shirazu, “why aren’t Urie and Saiko with us today?”
“Urie’s running an errand, and Saiko refused to get out of bed,” Shirazu said with a shrug.
“An errand?” Haise muttered. His smile tightened briefly before he glanced around, sniffing the air. He froze mid-step. “What do you know… She’s here.”
The group stopped as they turned a corner. There stood (Y/N), calm and collected, walking toward them. Her expression was unreadable, but there was something distant in her eyes.
“Good evening,” she greeted, her voice steady.
“(Y/N)-sama,” Mutsuki said quickly, his tone brightening as he approached her.
Haise’s lips twitched into a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “It’s always a pleasure to run into you, isn’t it?”
(Y/N) gave a small nod. “What brings you all here?”
“Fieldwork,” Shirazu replied. “What about you? You’re out rather late.”
(Y/N) glanced at the group. “I needed to clear my head.” She gestured toward the coffee shop beside them. “And this place caught my attention.”
Haise tilted his head. “A good choice. I’ve been meaning to stop here myself. Shall we?”
Without waiting for a reply, Haise pushed the door open and held it for the others. The rich aroma of coffee filled the air, and the quiet ambiance welcomed them.
(Y/N) took a step inside, her eyes scanning the room. Her heart clenched as her gaze locked onto a familiar face at the counter.
Yomo froze, his hand hovering over a cup he was preparing. His eyes widened slightly before narrowing in disbelief.
“…It’s been a while,” Yomo said, his voice steady but carrying an edge of something deeper.
“Hello, Yomo,” (Y/N) said quietly, her calm exterior betraying none of the storm within her.
Before she could say more, another voice interrupted.
“Yomo, I told you to—”
Touka stepped out from the back, trailing off as her eyes landed on (Y/N). Her lips parted in shock, her usual sharp gaze softening with disbelief.
“(Y/N),” Touka whispered.
“Touka.”
The two women stared at each other, the weight of unspoken years pressing down on the space between them. Yomo stood silently, watching the interaction with an unreadable expression.
(Y/N) inhaled sharply but forced herself to remain composed. “I didn’t expect to see you here.”
“Neither did I,” Touka admitted, her voice barely audible.
The ache in (Y/N)’s chest grew, but she pushed it aside. It wasn’t the time for emotions. Instead, she glanced back at her group, who were watching the scene with varying degrees of curiosity.
“Excuse me,” she said to Haise and the others before turning back to Yomo and Touka. “I’ll order something and leave shortly.”
As she approached the counter, Yomo’s gaze lingered on her. “You could have told me you’d be in the area.”
(Y/N) gave him a faint smile. “It was a spur-of-the-moment decision.”
Touka, still standing nearby, crossed her arms. “You never were good at keeping in touch.”
(Y/N) looked at her for a long moment but said nothing. She placed her order, waited for her drink, and quietly walked back to where the group stood.
“Ready?” Haise asked, his tone overly light.
“Let’s go,” (Y/N) said, turning toward the door.
As they exited, she could feel Yomo and Touka’s eyes on her back. But she didn’t look back. Her heart ached, but she couldn’t afford to dwell on it. Not now. ・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・・。・。・
Y/N told the others she would see them later, offering a small nod as she stepped out of the coffee shop. The air was crisp, a welcome contrast to the warmth inside. Her mind wandered as she walked, her thoughts drifting to a memory she hadn’t allowed herself to revisit in a long time.
The room felt suffocatingly warm, but it wasn’t the temperature that made her heart race. Touka was sitting across from her, the tension palpable.
Touka stood up, her eyes intense. Without saying a word, she pulled (Y/N) to her feet and guided her toward the bedroom. The door clicked shut behind them, and in one swift motion, Touka pushed (Y/N) onto the bed. There was a softness in her eyes, but it was mixed with something else—something more dangerous. Touka climbed onto the bed, her body pressing close to (Y/N)’s, the weight of her presence undeniable.
(Y/N) let her do as she pleased, despite the conflict that churned in her gut. She didn’t resist. She never did with Touka. There was a strange comfort in it, an intensity that was impossible to escape. She could smell the faint scent of blood and something uniquely Touka—a mixture of warmth, danger, and raw emotion.
Touka hummed softly as she moved closer. “(Y/N), being in love with you seems like a bad idea,” she murmured, her fingers trailing across (Y/N)’s skin.
(Y/N) nodded, the weight of the words pressing on her chest. She had always known the consequences, but it didn’t stop the way she felt.
“Then fall out of love with me,” Touka whispered, her lips just a breath away from (Y/N)’s.
But (Y/N) couldn’t. She never could. “I could never stop loving you,” she said, her voice thick with emotion, her heart betraying the words she knew were dangerous to speak.
Touka’s eyes softened, a mix of relief and sorrow in her gaze. She hovered above (Y/N), her face inches from hers, as though daring her to pull away, daring her to reject the intensity between them. But (Y/N) didn’t.
Touka kissed her, slow and lingering. The kiss was a promise, a promise neither of them could truly keep, but one they would both cling to anyway.
(Y/N) snapped back to the present, the memory fading into the background as she took a slow breath. Her heart ached, a dull throb that refused to fade. That was the last time she had seen Touka, and though their paths had crossed occasionally after that, things were never the same. Too much had changed.
She glanced at the bustling street around her, the world moving on while she stood still in the past. Her mind wandered to Yomo, and she couldn’t help but wonder where he had gone after all these years. It had been so long since they had spoken, and yet, the bond between them still lingered, a silent echo in the back of her mind. ・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・・。・。・
(Y/N) had always remembered the way the rain had fallen that day. It was soft, almost gentle, but the heaviness in the air had made it feel as though the world was on the brink of something.
They had been walking together, side by side, in the dim light of the streetlamp. Yomo had been quieter than usual, his brow furrowed in thought as they moved through the empty streets of the district. Y/N had always liked the quiet moments with him—the moments where they didn’t have to speak, but the connection was as clear as if they had. But that night, there was something different. Something unspoken in the air that neither of them had been brave enough to acknowledge.
(Y/N) glanced at him, her boots clicking against the wet pavement. Yomo was the kind of person who carried a calm intensity, and in his silence, Y/N found a strange comfort, like they were the only two people in the world.
“You’re not going to say anything?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, as if speaking louder would ruin the moment.
Yomo slowed his pace, his gaze drifting to the ground for a moment before he looked at her. His eyes were always so unreadable, but tonight they seemed different—there was something there, something he was holding back. Something he hadn’t been able to say.
“I don’t know what to say,” he replied softly, his voice low. “Sometimes, there’s nothing left to say.”
(Y/N) felt the weight of his words press on her chest. There had always been things left unsaid between them—unresolved tension, feelings that neither of them knew how to handle. But that night, in the soft glow of the streetlight and the quiet hum of the rain, she understood.
“Maybe we don’t need words,” Y/N said, her voice barely audible against the sound of the rain.
Yomo glanced at her again, his eyes softer now, his expression unreadable. He stepped closer, closing the distance between them with a deliberate slowness. Without a word, he reached out, his hand brushing against hers for the briefest of moments. It was a quiet gesture, but in it, there was more than any words could convey.
They stood there for a moment, hands almost touching, as the rain fell around them. There was something unspoken between them, something that had been growing for years but had never been allowed to surface. Yomo’s hand remained just out of reach, but it was enough to know that there was a connection, a bond that couldn’t be broken, no matter how much they tried to distance themselves.
(Y/N) sighed softly, closing her eyes for a brief second before she spoke again, her voice a little steadier now.
“You’ve always been so distant,” she murmured, half to herself.
Yomo didn’t answer immediately, but the way he looked at her was enough. There was no need for further explanation.
They both knew that, for whatever reason, they could never quite bridge the gap between them. But it was fine. There were some things that didn’t need to be spoken aloud.
A few moments passed before Yomo finally spoke, his voice steady, though there was a certain vulnerability in it that he rarely allowed anyone to see.
“I’m not good at this… at being close to people,” he admitted, his words low and raw. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t care.”
(Y/N) didn’t know what to say to that, but she didn’t need to. She simply nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of his admission. She had always known it in her heart—knew that Yomo cared, even if he couldn’t express it in the way that others might.
They stood there together in the rain, no words needed between them, just the unspoken understanding of two people who had been through far too much to let anything tear them apart.
The sound of her phone ringing broke through the memory, pulling Y/N back into the present. She glanced at the screen, her gaze lingering for a moment on the name that flashed there.
Kishou
She sighed, her heart still heavy with the weight of the memory. She hesitated for a moment, staring at the phone in her hand. Finally, with a resigned breath, she answered, her voice steady but her mind still half lost in the past.
“Hello?” ・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・・。・。・
Y/N walked through the quiet streets, the rhythm of her footsteps blending with the distant hum of the city. The weight of the day pressed on her shoulders, but she moved with purpose, letting her thoughts wander as the cold wind brushed against her skin. She had been lost in her own mind when the sound of her phone vibrating in her pocket brought her back to reality.
The name on the screen was familiar—Kishou. Her heart skipped a beat, though she quickly masked the brief surprise with a steady breath. She’d been expecting this call; it was only a matter of time. She took the phone out of her pocket, glanced at it for a moment, then answered without hesitation.
“Y/N,” came Arima’s voice, smooth and authoritative, cutting through the ambient noise of the street. “I need your help with something.”
Y/N paused mid-step, the weight of his words lingering even though he hadn’t shared the details yet. The world around her continued its chaotic dance, but for that brief moment, it felt as if everything slowed down. She didn’t answer right away, and for a moment, she found herself reflecting on what was between them—what had been between them.
As she walked, her mind drifted back to the past, to a particular night she hadn’t thought about in a long time.
It had been late, the moon casting long shadows on the alleyways as Y/N wandered through the dark streets. She hadn’t been in the best of moods, the weight of everything pressing against her chest, pushing her further into solitude. The night air was sharp, but she didn’t mind it—she had always found some sort of comfort in the stillness, in the solitude of the world at night. It was then that she had heard the footsteps behind her, steady, measured.
At first, she didn’t turn around, assuming it was just another passerby. But the footsteps were too deliberate, too familiar. Her heart recognized the sound before her mind did.
Arima had stepped up beside her, his presence quiet but unmistakable. He didn’t say anything at first, just walked beside her as they moved down the empty street, side by side.
Y/N hadn’t been in the mood for conversation, and she wasn’t sure why she hadn’t brushed him off. Perhaps it was his quiet strength that drew her in, or maybe, it was just the sense that he understood her in ways most people didn’t.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of walking in silence, Arima spoke. “What are you doing out here alone, Y/N?”
Y/N had stopped walking, her gaze fixed ahead, but she didn’t answer immediately. She could feel the weight of his gaze on her, but there was no pressure to speak. He had always been that way—patient. Waiting for her to open up when she was ready.
“I don’t know,” she said, her voice quieter than usual. “I just needed to be away from everything.”
Arima was silent for a moment. Then, without warning, he stepped closer to her, placing a hand lightly on her shoulder. Y/N tensed at the contact, but she didn’t pull away. It wasn’t the kind of gesture she was used to, but with Arima, it felt different. There was something about it that anchored her, even if it was only for a fleeting moment.
“Sometimes, walking away is the only way to find clarity,” he said, his voice low, almost contemplative. “But you don’t have to be alone to do it.”
Y/N looked up at him then, their eyes locking. She couldn’t remember the last time someone had cared enough to say something like that. His words weren’t empty. They were real. And in that moment, the weight she had been carrying seemed to lessen, if only just a little.
“You don’t have to carry it all by yourself,” he added, his gaze unwavering. “I’m here.”
For a long moment, Y/N said nothing. The world around them seemed to disappear, and all she could focus on was the sound of her own heartbeat, and the quiet assurance in Arima’s voice.
It wasn’t a declaration of anything monumental. There were no promises, no grand gestures. But in that brief exchange, she felt something she hadn’t allowed herself to feel in a long time—understood.
The sound of Arima’s voice on the phone brought Y/N back to the present, her footsteps echoing in the quiet night as she continued walking. “I’m here,” she said, her voice steady. “What do you need?”
His instructions followed, clear and precise as always, and Y/N listened intently, but the memory lingered in her mind. She had never told him how much that night had meant to her—how much his quiet understanding had meant. The way he had been there, not with answers, but with his presence.
She shook her head, letting the memory fade as she refocused on the task at hand. There were more pressing matters now, but the image of Arima’s steady hand on her shoulder remained with her as she walked, a quiet reassurance that no matter the chaos, there was someone who understood.
As she listened to his instructions, she found herself, for the briefest of moments, grateful for the bond they shared. ・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・。・・。・。・
As Y/N walked through the winding streets, her thoughts drifted from her current task to the memories that had shaped her along the way. The cool night air brushed against her skin, and her footsteps echoed in the empty streets as her mind lingered on the people she had encountered.
Haise leaned forward, bowing politely toward her, his voice quiet but sincere.
“I will be in your care,” he said, his eyes lowered in respect.
Y/N looked down at the ghoul before her, a soft smile curving her lips as she took in his nervous energy. There was always something so… endearing about him. She could see the battle waging inside him—his desire for something more but the fear that came with it. The part of her that liked to tease couldn’t resist.
“Would you like to join me and my companion tonight?” she asked, the words casual but deliberate.
Haise shot up in surprise, his face immediately flushing red. “I-I—No, ma’am,” he stammered, waving his hands frantically as though to ward off the suggestion.
Y/N tilted her head slightly, a teasing glint in her eye. “Oh? You seem a little too eager to avoid the invitation. I’ve noticed the way you look at him.”
His face turned an even deeper shade of red, and he frantically denied it again. “No! I-I don’t—I haven’t—I—”
Y/N’s smirk deepened. “Hmm, really? You look like you want to devour him.”
The words hung in the air for a moment, before Haise, flustered beyond belief, responded, “You—!”
Y/N raised an eyebrow in mock surprise. “Me?”
He clenched his fists, his voice trembling but firm. “It’s you. I want to devour you. You smell so sweet, like honey. It’s… intoxicating.”
A smirk tugged at the corner of Y/N’s lips. She knew exactly what this was. She could still sense Kaneki within him, that part of him that was drawn to her in a way he couldn’t quite understand.
“You’ll have to share with my companion,” she teased lightly, her gaze flickering with amusement.
“I will, I swear I will,” Haise replied eagerly, the desperation clear in his voice. “Please, just don’t make me—”
Later, Y/N found herself observing Urie Kuki as he aggressively took out his frustration on a punching bag. The rhythmic thuds of his fists against the bag echoed in the quiet space.
“How long are you going to keep watching me, Doctor?” Urie spat, his voice dripping with annoyance as his punches never slowed.
Y/N’s calm, steady gaze didn’t leave him as she answered simply, “Until you come with me.”
Urie glared at her, not even pausing his strikes. “Why would I go with you? I’m doing just fine here.”
Y/N sighed, stepping forward slowly, closing the distance between them. “Because I want to help you.”
His eyes narrowed. “You don’t know anything about me. How can you help me?”
Y/N’s voice remained calm, measured, but firm. “Your father was a ghoul investigator. He died during the Owl Suppression Attack. You blame his coworkers for not doing enough. And you—” she paused, her voice hardening, “—you’ve got this deep-seated inferiority complex, always measuring yourself against others. It’s eating you alive. Right now, you’re weak.”
Urie’s hand faltered in mid-punch, and in an instant, he shot forward, throwing a fist toward her in anger.
Y/N easily dodged, stepping aside with fluid grace before she reached out and flipped him onto the ground effortlessly, pinning him in place with a smooth motion.
“If you’re going to insult me, leave,” Urie grunted from his place on the floor.
Y/N crouched down, her eyes never leaving his. “Do you want to be stronger?”
He blinked up at her, confusion evident in his gaze. “What?”
“Do you want to be stronger?” she repeated, her voice steady. “Then give me your life. Let me help you.”
As Y/N continued on her way, her thoughts shifted to another time when she had been involved with a different person. She had been standing in a sterile room, filling out forms when she heard a faint, desperate voice. She turned to see a man kneeling in front of one of the doctors.
“Please, just give me more time to get the money,” the man—Shirazu Ginshi—pleaded, his head lowered in desperation.
The doctor shook his head, his tone sharp. “We can’t delay any longer.”
Y/N approached, her curiosity piqued. She stood in front of the man, eyeing him before she asked, “How much does he owe?”
The doctor hesitated, clearly surprised by her directness. “About half a million yen.”
Without hesitation, Y/N pulled out her card and handed it to the doctor. “Put it on my card. Let me know if there’s any trouble.”
The doctor took the card and scurried off, leaving Y/N alone with Shirazu. She looked down at him, who was still kneeling on the floor, clearly torn between gratitude and embarrassment.
“Stand up. Save your dignity,” she ordered firmly.
Shirazu hesitated but slowly stood. “I can’t stand up until I’ve repaid you.”
Y/N regarded him for a moment, her eyes softening slightly. She extended her hand toward him. “Take my hand. Work for me. And me alone.”
His gaze flickered to her hand, then up to her face. After a long moment, he reached out, grasping her hand firmly, his fate now sealed.
Another time, Y/N found herself standing in front of Mutsuki Tooru, a young man who hadn’t yet learned to trust his own strength. He refused to meet her gaze, his hands trembling slightly.
“I will be with you every step of the way. It will be a painless process,” she assured him gently, her tone calm.
Mutsuki hesitated, then signed the consent form in front of him, his movements slow and uncertain.
“Thank you… Tooru,” Y/N said softly, her voice sincere.
She stood up, reaching out to rub his hair affectionately. “Thank you for following me. I will be with you every step of the way. I promise.”
Mutsuki leaned into the touch, his shoulders relaxing as a small, grateful smile flickered across his face. But as Y/N withdrew her hand, he frowned, a small, almost disappointed look crossing his features.
“Follow me. We need to prepare you for your surgery,” Y/N said as she turned to leave, her voice firm but kind.
Mutsuki scrambled to catch up, following her like a lost puppy.
Y/N smiled softly to herself. Finally, someone who trusted her completely.
And finally, there was Saiko Yonebayashi, a young woman with a fierce loyalty that Y/N could feel even from a distance. She approached the girl carefully, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
“There,” Y/N said with a smile, her tone light. “Now I can see your pretty eyes.”
Saiko’s eyes widened in surprise, but Y/N didn’t miss the faint blush that crept up her neck.
“Saiko Yonebayashi, was it?” Y/N asked softly, her voice gentle yet commanding.
Saiko nodded slowly, her expression thoughtful.
Y/N extended a hand, her voice steady but persuasive. “Would you like to live with me? I just ask that you work for me, and give me your loyalty.”
Saiko stared at Y/N’s outstretched hand, weighing the offer. After a long moment, she reached forward, clasping Y/N’s hand with surprising strength.
“My loyalty is yours and yours alone,” Saiko murmured, her voice firm, and Y/N could see the commitment in her eyes.
The memories, vivid and clear, passed through Y/N’s mind as she continued to walk, her pace steady, though her thoughts were anything but. She hadn’t expected her mind to wander so deeply into the past, but with every step, she couldn’t help but reflect on the people she had shaped, the bonds she had formed, and the quiet influence she held over them.
But now wasn’t the time for nostalgia. Arima’s call had been clear. She had a mission, and she would see it through.
