Autumn was short.

Just a little while ago, there were days when short sleeves were still okay, but now the students had to worry about coats.

Nokoru, who was about to head to the classroom after completing his work in the student council room, was momentarily shivered by the cold north wind that blew too hard.

At that moment, Nokoru stopped when he saw something in the trash can next to him. It was the five paper planes he had seen before.

A strange male student crushed one in front of Nokoru and threw it in the trash can. The scene flashed back to Nokoru's mind.

The indescribable melancholy of that time came back to him, and he wanted to leave the place as soon as possible.

However, Nokoru wondered if this paper plane was the same as that time. The other four paper planes landed next to Nokoru, but he thought the owners might come looking for them, so he evacuated them to a corner so they wouldn't get trampled.

Did that mean they were crushed again and thrown in the trash can...?

Cleaning was done every day at CLAMP School, and garbage was always put away on the same day.

In other words, someone else made five paper planes, and either he or someone else crushed them and threw them away.

Nokoru instinctively picked up a paper plane and carefully smooths out the wrinkles to restore it to its original shape.

This description is curious. Do even local Japanese people really not know what a “tokoroten” is made of? I guess maybe people don’t necessarily know what things like kanten or konnyaku are made of either, and they just know that “this is something I bought in the market”. People in previous decades don’t seem to be quite as conscious about that... so maybe the devs are just being accurate to the setting of the time period (this game is set in the 1970s, and the developers are from Japan)

And I mean, it is tasteless, but you can see in the artwork that it has sauce. For me it would make more sense if the narration says “plain-flavoured noodle-like agar, eaten with soya sauce��� or something.

I mean, the granny owner of this shop is a snarky character, but I dunno... this description makes it sound like she doesn’t even know if this is edible or not and I’m just really confused. Maybe I should try playing this in Japanese and see if it says something different.
