Can you make a headcanon for the Ikemen Sengoku guys getting jealous due to the MC like flirting with another man? Mainly, Ieyasu, Nobunaga, Masamune, Mitsuhide, Shingen and Kennyo's reactions?
Thank you for this request, anon. Hope you're having a great weekend!
IKEMEN SENGOKU HEADCANONS - JEALOUS WARLORDS (Ieyasu, Nobunaga, Masamune, Mitsuhide, Shingen, Kennyo)
Ieyasu Tokagawa
Did he notice you spending a bit too long chatting with that merchant? No, of course not - Ieyasu does not know feelings of jealousy. He sternly calls your name, stealing your attention from the merchant, reminding you of the schedule you need to adhere to. For the remainder of the shopping trip, he demands that you stay by his side so he can keep a close eye on you - there is no time to waste with worthless chatter.
Nobunaga Oda
How dare that man engage your attention, even for a fraction of a moment, during a party in Nobu's honor! He immediately calls over another servant, and asks her to take over tea service for you. Nobu sees you frown when your replacement informs you of what's going on. He waits for you to make eye contact before waving you over. To his side. Where you belong.
Masamune Date
Is that another man talking to his lass? His hand is on his sword in a gut reaction, he slows his steps down the hallway so as to not scare you by surprise. Is that your laughter he hears? His fingers tighten around the hilt of his sword, ready to bare his fangs and show this other guy who owns your heart. Masamune's face falls when he overhears the man say goodbye, his chance to fight for you love slowly walking away.
Mitsuhide Akechi
Little mouse, are you trying to get my attention by flirting with the merchant? His golden eyes glitter as he watches you discuss the different fabrics, your eyes lighting with a passion he so rarely sees outside of the bedroom. He is filled with curiosity as to what he could do in the bedroom to elicit a similar, passionate reaction from you later tonight. As soon as you are done with your purchase, Mitsuhide whispers to you that this shopping excursion is over, and it is time to return home.
Shingen Takeda
Shingen's brows furrow, his eyes darken as he watches you talk to the guest at the party. He notices your bright smile as you touch this man's arm. Confident that this is just an accidental touch, he continues to watch you as this man doesn't take his eyes off of you. Nor you he. Shingen strides over to you, a smile on his face, ready to introduce himself - as your lover. From there, he will keep a tight arm around your waist, not just to show everyone in attendance that you are spoken for, but because he just can't keep his hands off of you.
Kennyo
His eyes flicker from the flowers he is looking at - is that another man you are speaking to? He listens to you and hears the lilt in your voice - that beautiful, sweet voice that has so often comforted and calmed him, now being spoken to another man. He watched calmly as you engaged this other man in what sounded like innocent chatter. Kennyo smiled as you finished your conversation. His turn would come later that evening in the bedroom when he would make you sing his name. Over and over again.

This is what immediately though
You would jump the the conclusion that tokagawa the mech made to burn itself alive
Would be the biggest safety hazard
But as said in above posts
Compared to "if the us government made the doom guy suit"
"dark web fuckery"
And "PTSD machine"
The tokagawa at least HAS safety limiters (thar the pilot will immediately turn off)

Hanami Season
March 21st onwards
When the Sakura is out in Japan there is a party atmosphere as Japanese families, couples, salary men stop for beeru, nigiri picnics and insta moments beneath cherry blossom hues. There is a media frenzy from January when the projected blossom forecasts come out. In mid-March, the tv crews are about in the top hanami sites looking for the magic number of five open blossoms on a designated tree. This signals the official start to the season in Japan. Good merch is available in the shops, the travel agents suggest weekends away to get your pink blossom fill and photographers make good business snapping up next year calendar shots and wedding couple pictures.
Tumblr media
Our first glimpse of the Sakura this year was in Kagoshima on the Southern island of Kyushu. Pink is the usual cherry tree colour so the white against the moody greys of the sea and sky were an attractive contrast. The rain drops on the fleeting blossoms are a truly ephemeral moment of nature.
This highly managed `natural phenomenom` attracts many international visitors. This year we hosted two sets. The first arrivals were Susannah and Alvin, a little premature for the Nagoya and more centrally located blossoms, so we headed to Kyoto to check out the historical sights.
Tumblr media
The first stop of the day on this version of `Tamsin’s Kyoto Tour` was the world famous Kinkakuji or Golden Temple. This tourist site is always packed and we joined the extensive queue to enter early before it was even open. Once inside we dutifully took our pictures walked the trails around the `tranquil` location and indulged in green tea and Kinkakuji themed sweets.
The sites history dates back to 1397. The temple narrowly avoided destruction during the Onin war between 1467-1477 when all the surrounding buildings were destroyed by fire. However after surviving for over 500 years including through the bombings of world war 2, that claimed a lot of Japan’s historical monuments, Kinkakuji finally succumbed when a `crazed` novice monk decided to burn it to the ground in 1950.
Tumblr media
Ginkakuji was the next stop on our Kyoto tour. The Silver Temple is located across the other side of the city and marks the beginning of the Philosophers Path. The temple buildings perch in front of the mossy hillside garden, whose paths meander through the towering pines. At different viewpoints from above the cityscape of Kyoto, ponds, gravelled zen gardens and the somewhat dowdy Pavilion appear in the foreground.
Ginkakuji was built by the grandson of the Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu who was responsible for the construction of Kinkakuji. It was supposed to be covered in silver leaf when finished, hence the name, but by the time of its owners death, it was still unfinished so was purposefully left incomplete. This was in keeping with the Wasi-Sabi artisitic movement that is centred on transcience and imperfection.
Tumblr media
We did manage to find the odd early blossoming tree but most buds were tightly closed. Our final stop on the rather lengthy trail was Nanzenji. The most impressive part of the temple complex was the massive Sanmon entrance gate. The gate was apparently built in 1628 to honour the Tokugawa clan soldiers who died in the siege of Osaka Castle in 1615. The vistas across the grounds and Kyoto were very impressive (and a great spot for a quick selfie.)
It was great to extend the tour itinerary to include the Philosopher’s Path; however, it can take time away from other potential landmarks. The feedback from the Tamsin’s tour participants was it was a bit far and not enough places to sit down!
A few days after the Kyoto trip we were joined by other Trowbridge travellers - my parents. Finally the blossom was starting to appear en mass so we headed to Tsurama Park in Nagoya to get involved with the blue tarp action of a hanami party beneath the trees.
Tumblr media
Mum was ready in her matching pink attire to get the perfect Sakura photos. The sun shone and we ate some lovely cheese tartlets and drank hot canned tea and coffee. Making the most of the somewhat unpredictable March weather. We then headed for another well known Nagoya Cherry Blossom spot - Yamazaki River. Again, it was not quite full bloom yet but this meant it was not too crowded and we could enjoy the peaceful one kilometre stroll along the river.
Tumblr media
The next day was miserably rainy. As it was Saturday, Rob joined our group and we headed up to 31st floor of Mum and Dad’s hotel for a picturesque breakfast.
Tumblr media
This pic of Susannah is taken in what has to be the most scenic ladies toilet ever. Having missed the hanami party the previous day, Rob was keen to get in on the Sakura photos (this one is courtesy of the fake display in the hotel lobby).
After a wander around Osu kannon, we found the Puffle and waffy cafe for an afternoon snack. At this point the group split to accommodate varying tastes. Rob took Alvin Record store shopping and on a Kirin tasting session. Meanwhile, the rest of us headed top the Tokagawa Museum. The blossom outside the museum was in glorious full bloom. This was marred somewhat by the continuous rain. We spent some time taking pics then mooched around looking at the museum’s collection.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the evening we decided to indulge our inner carnivores and to bbq some meat at a yakiniku restaurant.
The following day was Alvin and Susannah’s last. We got a quick trip in to the Shinkansen museum. It’s a great interactive space with so much information. Mum was pleased as she got to see Mount Fuji from the window of a bullet train (kind of), and there are lots of amazing displays and exhibits, but I personally loved the fact that the toilets were styled like a shinkansen’s; small things...

Hollyhock
A member of the mallow family mostly native to Europe and Asia. The exception being illamna rivularius.
They are used as ornamental plants, firewood, and attracting pollinators.
Kyoto, Japan has a festival Aoi Matsuri, featuring hollyhocks. They're the official seal of Tokagawa shoganate and the soccer/football team Mito Hollyhock.
In victorian flower language it represents ambition, fertility, and protection.

Fun fact. After the Tokagawa shogunate closed Japan’s borders, some samurai got stuck outside the country and couldn’t come back in pain of death. At least a few ended up in America, where the Spanish authorities paid them to patrol the silver roads.
Samurai were a kind of itinerant cowboy class rare but extant in Tokugawa era Bolivia.
cowboys were a sort of itinerant warrior class common in meiji-era texas

On yandere
Here’s a weird pet peeve I have: the refusal to see yandere character type as a legitimate type.  To see this type as psychopaths that will murder and maim to get what they want, and that have the mentality “if I can’t have them no one can.”
Like everyone just thinks yanderes are nothing but this, when in reality, they are some of the neediest, fluffiest, devoted lovers there are.  The four main Japanese dere types (deredere, tsundere, yandere, kuudere) exist on a scale anyway and most characters are a mix.  To say that yandere is nothing but crazy is one dimensional. Also boring, because yans are pretty much my faves lol
Examples of characters that can be read, at least in part, as yandere (and this is my opinion, so take as a grain of salt): Akashi Seijuro, Kise Ryouta (KnB), Kominato Ryousuke (Daiya), Uesugi Kenshin (both ikesen and slbp), Tokagawa Ieyasu (ikesen, mild), Loki Genetta, Edgar Bright, probably Seth Hyde (Ikerev), Dr. Maki (IR), Tono Hiyori, Hazuki Nagisa (possibly, this is the interpretation of him I like anyway) (Free), Usui Yuta, Taira Genichirou (Days), Yukimura Seiichi, Fuji Syusuke (PoT)... etc.
They are generally shady in some way, and have issues with control and manipulation and/or emotions.  They can be overly possessive, and protective of their partner, but it’s not always unhealthy.  It’s a general type, and there is no cookie cutter for it.
That said, I definitely have a type, and these are my type lmao

Ieyasu Tokagawa-Samurai Warriors 5
I feel really proud of how I drew his outfit as I think the waste guards look a bit more metallic also the light blue tones look great (got a lot out of the pencil despite it being my most used up. I think the double sword holding pose looks really cool but the container on the left was shaped too wide while the right one looks a lot better. Ieyasu’s younger design looks the most different from his older design but I really like that as it shows the passage of time really well.

Visitors from the West pt 3
October 20th 2018
Stuart arrived early on a Saturday morning. To get over the jetlag we dragged him to a local rugby game.
Tumblr media
We checked out some of the quality views from above in Nagoya; from Oasis 21 and Midland Square.
Tumblr media
A bike tour of Nagoya took in Nagoya Castle and Osu Kannon. It was the Nagoya Festival which meant there were parades celebrating the three heroes of Nagoya;- Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokagawa Ieyasu.
Tumblr media
Nara is the home to bowing deer, Todai-ji- the biggest Wooden structure in the world and Kasuga Taisha a shrine of 3000 lanterns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Todai-ji is always thronged with tourists so it was lovely to find the comparatively quiet Kasuga Taisha shrine. The stone lanterns guard the paths leading to the shrine. Deer nestle between these and bow to the tourists. The moss covered stone and the interlacing tree canopy make for a contemplative space away from the biggest crowds.
Kyoto is another must see place close to Nagoya. To make the best of it an early start is vital. The first location was Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the bamboo forest it was straight to Kiyomizu-dera for a walk through a pitch black tunnel that leads below the buddha. In the spot directly below the buddha light pools on a stone carving. You are supposed to touch the stone and make a wish. Kioyomizu-dera overlooks Kyoto with its orange pagoda. The next stop was Yasaka shrine. We then found our way to the Samurai and Ninja Museum. This museum is aimed at foreigners. The tour guide speaks excellent English and explains the history of the Samurai and Ninja clearly to give a good overview. There is a ninja training activity with throwing stars and blow darts. There is also the opportunity to try on Samurai armour and you are taught how to hold a sword. Got to love a big shiny helmet!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the museum we visited Sanjusangendo the temple of a thousand golden buddhas and Fushimi Inari a shrine famous for its many red torii gates.
For Stu’s birthday we took him cosplay bowling. If you won a game you had to dress up - Stu is pretty good at bowling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A successful evening bowling needed to be followed by a chilled day. We headed to the Tokagawen for some tranquil gardens and massive Koi Carpe.
Tumblr media
To finish we visited the awesome il cugino cafe where they produce the cutest coffee art and cake.

Tokagawa Japan 16-1800′s
TosaKIn this highly conservative and relatively peaceful Era, of Edo Japan, where a new Shogun government moved their court to for stability, artisans and the merchant classes were the predominate art sources with in the self imposed isolated. They emulated the elegance of the empirical Shogun court in their visual imaginary and dress. Developments of Porcelain trade, the flourishment in the traditional tea ceremony, and Ming scholarly calligraphy introduced first by Chinese monks, became refined by a revival of old traditional arts in the prosperous time.
The tea ceremony encompassed many of the growing art in it’s focus on atheistic rather then function. The choreographed action incorporate scrolls writings decorative ceramics matching flora arrangement. The very recording of the ceremonial was an artistic practice remarking the intricate movements ans grace of the scenery.
In the visual revival arts also came new expressions in theater such as wood block prints or “floating worlds” which was an inexpensive and complimentary practice at the time, with how many more people were learning to read. Famous works such as The Tale of the Soga Brothers and The Tale of Genji, previously only available to the upper class were now attainable by t he public. With so many people such as samurai, initiatory lords, city residents, frequenting theaters, tea houses and even prostitute inns in the urban areas, there was plenty of money flowing to support the arts, which made it inexpensive and normalized to practice them after years of war. Even a few women from a school called Nanga became renowned. Before the Edo period artists would mainly remain nameless and unwealthy, well during they became famous and fashionable, developing eccentric and unique personifications.
The Era produced volumes of works efficient for all, older less popular practices became schools for thought, such as Kano, Tosa, and  Rinpa, along with nanga.
