What are your three favourite fanfic tropes and what are your favourite fanfics with those tropes?

ooh good question! heads up i dont read dnp fic much so these are gonna be for other fandoms :3

fake dating is my all time favorite trope. im a sucker for miscommunication and pining and this tends to bring both out in full force.

my fav fake dating fic is currently Meet Me in the Middle (Underneath the Mistletoe) by Princessfbi, which is a 911 buddie fic. i also really enjoyed Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms by mr_todoroki. i havent read it in a while since i havent read bnha fics much lately but its kiribaku and its definitely one of the first fics im gonna reread when i inevitably get sucked back into the fandom lol

second is friends to lovers. again, because pining. also its probs related to my being aroace spec and not really getting how someone could catch feelings for someone before knowing them well but like. thats not important lol

my fav friends to lovers fics are tell me about despair by hattalove which is another buddie fic (you can tell what ive been focusing on lately lmao) and Don't Freak Out by Sarah_Sandwich. its a harley keener/peter parker fic that i absolutely adore

my last pick is gonna have to be emotional hurt/comfort. anything that makes me cry because it made my soul hurt

my fav fics for this are look at the stars (look how they shine for you) by todobakutodo hours (snowandfire) which is in my bookmarks as "absolutely my favorite todobaku" and Freezing from the Inside Out by 7ate9 which is yet another buddie fic lol

Prompt: That was, by far, the stupidest thing you’ve ever done! Ship: TodoBaku 💥🍰

Todoroki is a very peculiar individual. His expression almost gives nothing away, like, ever. It’s as if he was able to produce invisible ice walls to cover his own emotions as well. At least, that’s how it was a while ago. Now that they’ve spent so much time together – much to Bakugou’s disliking – he has become acquainted with that stupid flat face. In fact, he’s even able to tell, despite the lack of flinching, just by the tiny gleam in Shouto’s eyes, that there’s a mischief lurking there, as he walks towards him along the hallway of the dorms.

Well, screw him, Bakugou’s not in a mood to waste any time. He doesn’t even waver and just continues walking towards his room. That is, until his feet are physically blocked by a layer of ice. It’s so annoying, how quickly it’s making his socks wet. With one stomp of his foot, he breaks it, cold water pooling on the pavement at a slow pace. He turns to that dumbass with the intention of yelling in his face that if he wants a fight, he’ll get one even at the price of damaging school property.

Instead, he finds himself frowning when he sees Shouto’s lips pressed in a flat line, mismatched eyes focused up above, as he moves a branch of ice he created to pull the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling forward, until it’s hovering Bakugou’s head. Red eyes follow the movement with puzzlement and when he looks down again, the stupid asshole is stepping closer.

“What the—” Bakugou begins but he has to trail off when Shouto leans in — freezing fingers wrapping around Bakugou’s wrist, making his skin slippery and cold, which consequently has a shiver run along his spine — and presses a soft, warm kiss on his lips. One that does not feel good at all. It doesn’t.

It lasts just a second before Bakugou feels too heated in the face to allow it. He pushes Shouto away with his free hand, growing only angrier when he sees his stupid mouth dropped by a inch in that so-not-adorable pout of his.

“That was, by far, the stupidest thing you’ve ever done! And you do a lot of stupid.” Bakugou yells at him, unclenching his other hand from Shouto’s gentle hold. “And if you ever, ever, think about doing it again, I will blow your brainless head off your body!”

That’s all he says before he storms off to his room, where he does not, definitely, spend the entire night thinking back to Shouto’s lips against his own, or about the way it would fill to slip his fingers through his stupid soft-looking, half-and-half hair. Ugh.
