✨Safe Non-Toxic Homemade Slime✨ * 🌟Fantastic sensory activity, your little one(s) will have so much fun discovering a new world of texture, I know mine did! 😁 🌟Supe easy and quick to make! Takes 5min! Absolutely love this recipe!! 🎉💕 * 🌟Need 1 cup of corn starch, 1 cup of water, and food colouring. That's it!! 🙌 🌟Pour the corn starch in a bowl. In a separate bowl mix the water and food colouring. 🌟In a bowl, add water to corn starch a bit at a time, mix with a spoon. 🌟I left mine a bit thick, when you mix it, it feels hard, but, once you hold it in your hand and play with it, it just turns slimey!!! So amazingly fun!!! 🌟It's also super easy to clean. However, I did place a plastic tarp underneath, you can see it in the pictures, great for easy clean up. 🌟That's it!! 🎉Kids have so much fun with slime. Best of all, this recipe is safe for your little ones. * 🌟Source: http://www.diyncrafts.com/1775/home/kids-will-love-this-safe-and-easy-homemade-slime-recipe * #diysafeslime#toddler#toddlemom#toddlerfun#kidsactivities#kidsactivitiesathome#mommylife#parentinglife#toddlerlife#toddleractivities#toddleractivitiesathome#toddlersensoryplay#toddlersensoryplayideas#sensoryplay#sensoryplayathome#slimesensoryplay

🔤Get your kiddos making those cognitive connections between letter making, words and sounds. Also, practicing hand dexterity, motor skills, and concentration♏️. 1️⃣Smaller children need to be supervised 100% of the time as they may try to eat the sand. 3️⃣This activity is also great to practice numbers and shapes! ⏹⏺▶️. * * 🆒This is such a fun and easy activity, and very interactive. All you need is a smooth surface, I used a large plastic container lid. I think a large plastic plate should also work. 🔡Make taste safe sand. 1 cup of flour & 3 table spoons of olive oil, can also use coconut oil. Make sure your child has been previously exposed to all of the ingredients he/she'll be working/playing with. 🔤That's it!!! So easy right!!! 🔠Kids will love this activity and you'll see how fast they learn. 💟Smaller children will just love the sand sensory play time, they'll engage in using all their senses, caregivers can teach them how to make lines and shapes as they're easier. * #toddlermom#toddlerlife#toddlerfun#sensoryplay#toddlersensoryplay#toddlersensoryplay#kidslearningactivity#makinglearningfunforkids#makinglearningfun#makinglearningeasierforkids#makinglearningeasyandfun#makinglearningexciting#funwithtoddler#funwithkids#kidsactivitiesathome#kidsfunactivities#tastesafesand#nontoxictoddlersand#nontoxicsand#toddlersgamesandlearning#toddlerdevelopment#toddlerlearning#toddlerlearningfun

🌟Benefits of Messy Play🌟🎨🌟🎨🌟 * 🌟Babies and children learn and develop through play, but especially through unstructured, exploratory play. 🌟Although playing a game or playing with toys can be educational and fun; messy play focuses on exploring and experimenting with different materials without any end goal such as to build or make something. This allows young children to make their own discoveries using their senses, curiosity and knowledge. 🌟It can also be a way of encouraging speech, for example by describing sensations, textures etc., and helping your child build their vocabulary. 🌟Don't just present your child with a messy activity and then step back and watch them play; get involved too! They will get so much more out of the experience if you interact with them, talk about what you’re doing, ask them open ended questions. * 🌟Source: http://www.peartreechildcare.co.uk/blog/the-importance-of-messy-and-sensory-play/ * #toddlerfreeplay#toddlermessyplay#toddlermom#toddlersensoryplay#toddlermessyplay#toddlerlife#toddlerpainting#toddlerediblepaint#ediblepaint#ediblepaintforkids#toddlerfunwithpaint #makinglearningfun#paintingwithtoddler#funwithtoddlerathome#funwithtoddler#diytoddlerathomeactivities#craftymommy#nocookediblepaint#nocookediblepaintfortoddler#diynocookediblepaintfortoddler#diynocookediblepaint#toodlerfunwithpaint#toddlermom#toddlersensoryplay#toddlermessyplay#toddlerfreeplay

🎨Taste Safe No Cook Paint!!! 🎨🎉🎨🎉 * 🎨Smaller children need to be supervised 100% of the time, as they might try to eat the mixture. Make sure you double check to make sure each activity is right and safe for your child. 🎨This taste safe paint recipe is so easy and fast to make!! Read below: ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ * 🎨What you need: 🌟1 tbsp Flour (I think any kind will work). I used regular wheat unbleached flour. If your child has a gluten allergy, you can substitute for a gluten free flour, like arrowroot which is starchy. However, make sure your child has tried it before and he/she is not allergic to it. 🌟2 tbsp+ Warm Water. 🌟Pinch of salt (optional), it helps to discourage kids from eating it, but, can make paint grainy. 🌟Containers with lid, number of containers will depend on how many colours you would like to make. I made 3 colours, so, I used 3 containers. 🌟Food Colouring. I used the gel kind to make colours bright. * 🎨How to: 🌟In each separate container mix all the ingredients. 🌟Once you have achieved paint like consistency add food colouring. 🌟If mixture is too dry, add more warm water, if, it's too runny add a bit more flour. * 🌟Source: http://www.playdoughtoplato.com/homemade-flour-paint-recipe/ * #makinglearningfun#paintingwithtoddler#funwithtoddlerathome#funwithtoddler#diytoddlerathomeactivities#craftymommy#nocookediblepaint#nocookediblepaintfortoddler#diynocookediblepaintfortoddler#diynocookediblepaint#toodlerfunwithpaint#toddlermom#toddlersensoryplay#toddlermessyplay#toddlerfreeplay

🐣This egg dying recipe is completely taste safe and soo perfect for a fun Easter sensory play activity!! 🌟Give it a try with your toddler, he/she will have a blast! 🎉🎉 🌟Check previous posting on dying Easter eggs with whipped cream. * 🌟Here are 5 reasons why sensory play is beneficial:
🐥Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain’s pathways, which lead to the child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks. 🐣Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction. 🐥This type of play aids in developing and enhancing memory. 🐣Sensory play is great for calming an anxious or frustrated child. 🐥Helps children learn sensory attributes (hot, cold, sticky, dry). * 🎉Happy Egg Dying!🎉 * diyeastereggs#diyfun#toddlermom#craftymommy#toddlermom#toddlersensoryplay#diyeasterideas#toddlergrowinguptooquick#toddlerlife#toddlereaster#toddlereastereggs#toddlerdiyeastereggdecoration#toddlerandeaster#parentingfun#eastereggs#diyeastereggs#diyeastereggcolouring#eastereggfun#toddlereasterfun#edibleeastereggsdying#toddlersensoryplay#toddlerlearning#makinglearningfun (at Toronto, Ontario)

🐣This is such a fun way to dye Easter eggs with your toddler, and its completely taste safe!!! * 🌟What You Need: 🐥Hard Boiled Eggs, as many as you like, just keep in mind the more eggs you use the more whipping cream/cool whip you'll need. I used 8. 🐥35% Whipping Cream, or, Cool Whip. 🐥Vinegar (2 cups). 🐥Food Coloring (gel kind gives brighter colours). 🐥Paper Towels (to pat dry eggs). 🐥Spoon for Mixing. * 🌟How To: 🐣Once you have your hard boiled eggs and they have cooled, let them soak in vinegar for 10min that way they'll absorb the colors better. 🐣Make your whipping cream, don't add granulated sugar as it'll make the cream too thick. If want to sweeten it a bit for the kids add a liquid sweetener like maple syrup. 🐣I used 1/2 the carton of a 473 mls carton. If you have an electric hand or stand mixer whipped cream is fast and easy to make, just need to pour desired amount into a container and mix until thick and creamy. You can do it by hand, but, takes a long time and you might get a hand cramp. If don't have an electric/stand mixed I would recommend using the cool whip. Let toddler watch as you mix the cream, they love it! 🐣Once whipped cream is ready, divide equally in separate containers. I used 4 colours, so, I used 4 containers. 🐣Once whipped cream has been divided by container, add a bit of gel coloring and mix. Gel coloring is really pigmented, so, just need a bit. Or, do everything in a big pan and have toddler play with all the eggs and coloured whipped cream. 🐣Once you have coulourful whipped cream, roll the eggs in each container so it soaks the color, cover egg with whipped cream and leave to absorb dye for 15-20mins. This can be done after toddler is done playing. 🐣Then, use paper towel to pat dry. 🐣That's it!!! So easy right?!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 * 🌟Source: http://www.passionforsavings.com/how-to-dye-easter-eggs-with-cool-whip/ * #diyeastereggs#diyfun#toddlermom#craftymommy#toddlermom#toddlersensoryplay#diyeasterideas#toddlergrowinguptooquick#toddlerlife#toddlereaster#toddlereastereggs#toddlerdiyeastereggdecoration#toddlerandeaster#parentingfun#eastereggs#diyeastereggs#diyeastereggcolouring#eastereggfun#toddlereasterfun (at Toronto, Ontario)
