🌟Benefits of Messy Play🌟🎨🌟🎨🌟 * 🌟Babies and children learn and develop through play, but especially through unstructured, exploratory play. 🌟Although playing a game or playing with toys can be educational and fun; messy play focuses on exploring and experimenting with different materials without any end goal such as to build or make something. This allows young children to make their own discoveries using their senses, curiosity and knowledge. 🌟It can also be a way of encouraging speech, for example by describing sensations, textures etc., and helping your child build their vocabulary. 🌟Don't just present your child with a messy activity and then step back and watch them play; get involved too! They will get so much more out of the experience if you interact with them, talk about what you’re doing, ask them open ended questions. * 🌟Source: http://www.peartreechildcare.co.uk/blog/the-importance-of-messy-and-sensory-play/ * #toddlerfreeplay#toddlermessyplay#toddlermom#toddlersensoryplay#toddlermessyplay#toddlerlife#toddlerpainting#toddlerediblepaint#ediblepaint#ediblepaintforkids#toddlerfunwithpaint #makinglearningfun#paintingwithtoddler#funwithtoddlerathome#funwithtoddler#diytoddlerathomeactivities#craftymommy#nocookediblepaint#nocookediblepaintfortoddler#diynocookediblepaintfortoddler#diynocookediblepaint#toodlerfunwithpaint#toddlermom#toddlersensoryplay#toddlermessyplay#toddlerfreeplay

🎨Taste Safe Paint🎨🙌🎉🎉🎉🎉 * 🎨It’s so easy to make, just takes a bit of time, 15-20min 🕐. 🌟Smaller children need to be supervised 100% of the time, as they might try to eat the mixture; however, even though mixture is taste safe, it does not taste good!!! 😁. 🎨I did the painting in the pictures, as I wanted to try the paint. Will be painting with my son tomorrow, will post some pictures later on. I know he's going to have such a blast! 🎉🎉🎨🎨🎨. 🎨In the top picture I used brushes to paint, the bottom one I used my fingers. They both worked great! * 🎨What you need? 🌟3 tbs of sugar. I used brown sugar, as thats what I had at home, and colours still turned out bright. 🌟1/2 tsp of salt. 🌟1/2 cup of corn starch. 🌟2 cups of water. 🌟Food colouring. * * 🎨How to: 🌟Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan in low heat until mixture thickens. 🌟If mixture is too thick, add more water. If mixture is too runny, add more cornstarch. I had too add more water to my mixture as it was a bit too thick. 🌟Transfer mixture to separate containers, dividing it depending on the number of colours that you would like to make. I made 4 colours: blue, orange, redish pink and green. 🌟Once you have the mixture divided in separate containers add food colouring. I used gel food colouring in order to get brighter colours. 🌟Wait for mixture to cool completely before giving it to kids to paint. 🌟If not using right away store in the fridge, gives it a gel like consistency. 🌟Mixture might end up having tiny clumps, but, that did not bother me. Some batches did and others were really smooth. 🌟I really like this recipe because, if, my toddler decides to sneak a taste it’s safe; however, doen’t taste good which should discourage kids to eat it. * 🌟Source: http://www.diynatural.com/homemade-gifts-for-kids/ * #ediblepaint#toddlermom#ediblepaintfortoddler#toddlerfun#toddlerlife#funwithtoddler#toddlereasterpainting#toddlerediblepaint#ediblepaint#tastesafepaint#toddlertastesafepaint#naturalpaint#toddlersafepaint#funwithtoddlerathome#diynaturalpaintforkids#diytoddlerpaint#diyactivitiesfortoddlers#kidsindooractivities#funwithtoddlersathome#paintingwithtoddler (at Toronto, Ontario)
