There's honestly... just so many people, just so so so so so many people in this world where I'm like... aren't you people tired of this fucking... you know, I was going to call them clowns but that's really disrespectful to clowns, these people could never get their face on an egg...

So I know I don’t post very often, but it’s actually fucking astonishing how many people voted for a man who WILL take their rights away and make this actual shithole of a country into a living hell for anyone who isn’t white, straight, or wealthy.

I guess the thing that bothers me about some of the posts on here berating people about voting for Biden is that some of the people they are berating are people who have literally lost dozens of family members to this genocide and they still don't seem to understand why telling those people "yeah, Biden is aiding a genocide but you better still vote for him because Trump would be worse!" is hurtful and patronizing, or why those people then get angry.

I'm not going to tell you not to vote for Biden, I do understand the reasons why it feels like the only option, but please for god's sake think about what the words you are saying look like to someone who has watched this man enthusiastically fund the murder and starvation of their people for the last five months.

What's wrong with Trump

A lot, but this podcast did a great job sort of articulating some things. It makes the argument that the current Trump behavior (see whatever it is he's said today) is really in line with who he's always been. Someone with no inhibitions or self filter.

It's been one of the odder things to hear folks remember his presidency fondly, when I remember them as terrifying. But that's because I was aware, but it's good to have it summarized, that the reason things weren't worse than they were is because there were adults in the room that stopped the Toddler in Chief from, for example, calling in the military to put down peaceful protests.

But then, I think the reason why it was a women's march first in 2017, and most of the work being done in civic opposition to Trump is that women get how dangerous it is when someone lacks a filter. Lacks the self control to do what you shouldn't do.

Anyway, I'm posting this mostly so that if anyone else gets the family posts that sum up to, "If he was going to do XYZ fall of democracy, why didn't he," to which the answer is "He tried 100s of times and adults kept the toddler distracted." I suppose it's a long meditation on what Harris has been saying, "Trump is an unserious man, but the consequence of him are very serious."
