I believe this is the final thing from Undertale that I am going to make. This project began February 15th, 2023 and as of today, January 3rd, 2024, Omega Flowey is finished. He is nearly 5 foot long, and I have to stand on a stepstool to take a pictures of him. I use the pixel art created by idlemidnight as a pattern in order to make him look as accurate as I can to the game. Now that he is finished, he will be hung above my bed. Thank you again, @fwugradiation for your amazing game, it means more to me than I can say.

In case you missed it, the Undertale Accessibility playtest is out now! This is a great opportunity to hear some of the voice acting and get a look at the control system. This test also reveals the voice of the narrator. Seeing and sharing the video will help the Undertale Accessibility Project greatly. My own take on a Ralsei redesign !! Honestly, I adore his original designs so much I didn't know what else to add. But I always loved it when people fused his Chapter 1 + Chapter 2 looks. Like having him look goatlike, but keeping his fur black and extra fluffy. It was a toss up between having his ears be so fluffy they're slightly upturned, or having them be so long, they draped onto the floor. I chose the former this time and elongated his scarf instead !!

There is one thing with Undertale/Deltarune theorists that drives me nuts.

In my experience, most of them value their personal takes or what they believe would make for a fitting narrative for the story as if they were actual arguments to bring up when discussing lore.

They are not.

Toby Fox does not care about what i think would make for a good plot for his games, and he does not care about what they think either. Toby Fox just does what he does, like the mysterious clever annoying dog he is.

While subjective opinions may be of use for speculation, the only things which should truly be the core of theorising are the actual pieces of evidence. Either direct evidence coming from the games, or indirect evidence which gives insight into what Toby’s intent may have been in a different manner. Personal interpretation does not matter, only what is actually there or was intended to be there does.

If someday Toby showed up and told me one of my ideas was totally wrong or that somebody else came up with a way to conclusively disprove it, then i would simply go back to the drawing board, re-organise all the evidence and clues from the beginning, and try once again to build another theory from scratch and hopefully get it right next time. And if it turned out that the new evidence contradicted one of my takes, then i would promote the view supported by the evidence and i would tell my own headcanons to simply go shove it.

And i believe that should be the norm. But in my experience, there exists a real problem with biases within the theorist community and it sincerely annoys me.

As much as I would like it to not constantly be gripping my autsitic brain like a stress ball, and for all its flaws, I don't think I'll ever really regret reading homestuck or feel embarrassed to have enjoyed it. Like hot take perhaps but it is undoubtedly an important piece of internet media in how it embraced and experimented with the medium alone, and I'm glad I got to experience it when it was currently Happening.

An update on my mission to make all the characters from Deltarune Chapters 1&2. I have made a lot of progress since the last time I posted, but I am nowhere near done with either chapter. These are all done using plastic canvas and yarn. Although it takes a while to make them, I am having fun doing so. Who knows, maybe I will have them done just in time for chapters 3-5 to be released! Once again, I am forever grateful to @fwugradiation and others for their amazing games.

Like most people, probably, I first knew Toby Fox because of Undertale.

This game has a special place in my heart, because of many reasons (characters, storytelling, gameplay...)

One of the biggest is the music. I love Toby as a composer, as his songs show a delightful diversity from funny (Dogsong), to groovy (Death by glamour), to epic (Finale), whatever the heck was "Your best nightmare", with many of these songs representing more than one of these things.

And when, a couple months ago, I stumbled onto his new song "The greatest living show", I didn't hesitate to give it a try.

I loved it to pieces !

The animation is stellar : lively, colorful, but at the same time, quite unsettling.

The song is basically the sound equivalent of the animation, and introduced me to the singer. Credits to Itoki Hana for the voice.

There's a little story, full of parallels to very real struggles, but shown through fantastical lenses. This world, being both appealing and frightening, helps to reflect these messages.

Anyways, I know this post won't really reach that many people. I don't care, I just wanted to talk about something I liked.

Of course, that's only my subjective opinion. Anyone can form their own by watching the video, or listening to the song 😀.

It's just way less popular than Undertale and Deltarune, so... that motivated me to make this post.

Just like many others, I have created my own Undertale-AU, let's call it Somnitale for now. I created Somni during my Highschool Phase were I had severe Somniphobia and tried to cope by creating a character similar to my situation back then. Long story short: Somni (Sans) has suffered through many Genocide-Runs, the thought of Chara and Frisk haunting his mind even while he's asleep. Being plagued by nightmares and sleep-paralysis', he started forcing himself to stay awake while also starting to take some advice to heart and start training as well to not only have 1 HP just to make sure that he'll survive even if he falls asleep by accident. Causes of sleep deprivations: Illusions, Delusions, Micro-Sleep and depersonalization. Somni starts hallutionating that the human hurt him, feeling the pain and horror while others around him can't seem to understand why he's in sudden pain. Due to his lack of sleep, he started loosing his bright blue color, it having turned into a deep purple. Papyrus is worrying of course, knowing that he's forcing himseld to stay awake - that's why he had crafted Somni two dreamcatchers, that Somni always carries around his neck just to give himself some spark of hope. I didn't wanna make predictions, but I didn't think the problem would last long. Toby follows the fandom to some extent, he was GONNA hear about this, and I KNEW he wouldn't stand for it.

A copyright issue with Materia Collective, the distributor of Undertale and Deltarune music has recently been resolved! People had been getting copyright claimed on their Undertale Yellow videos, with the reasoning being that the music remixed Undertale music (which... doesn't even get copyrighted in the first place?) A representative of the company, Sebastian Wolff attempted to defend this in a lengthy twitter thread I'm frankly.. too annoyed to summarize, and many people were asking for Toby to get involved.

According to this tweet from MasterSwrdRemix (The director of Undertale Yellow), Toby was instrumental (ha!) in solving the issue. I'm glad to see everything resolved, and hope an issue like this doesn't pop up in the future!
