BOOK THOUGHTS: The Ravenhood series by Kate Stewart

**This will have spoilers**

All I wanted to know was the context for the 'We like rainy days, don't we, baby?' so I could be in the know with my fellow booktok girlies T_T

I'm halfway-ish through Exodus right now and don't know what to think. It feels silly to write a whole book building up a poly relationship only to completely throw it away in book 2 for a monogamous one. (Where's Katherine Pierce when you need her?)

This is how I thought the story was going to go while reading Flock:

I thought Sean was going to die by the end of book 1 and book 2 was going to focus on Dom x Cecelia and that the 'We like rainy days, don't we, baby?' line was in reference to their mutual grief over Sean's death. Which I think would have made for a more tragic and interesting story, but maybe that's just me!

Also, I really hate 'baby' as a romantic pet name so that's been hard to get through when all three MMCs use it. Also, 'Pup'? BARF.

I don't know if I'll want to read Book 3 to be honest so if someone wants to spoil it for me, please be my guest.

I entered my soft boy area.

I watched Bridgerton season 3, My Lady Jane, The Artful Dodger, Normal People (and you cannot get sick of the We Live In Time trailer) and have fallen in love with these cutie pies.

I'm tired of macho James Bondes and Mr Greys.

I want to watch early love confessions, consent kings, meet cutes, grooms crying at their wedding, vulnerability, awkward conversations, raw sex scenes, men babygirling so hard, men going to therapy, husbands, making mistakes and owning up to them, good communication, etc.
