10th house: career, occupation, profession, work, enactment, achievement, reputation, intention, choice, actions, public image, visibility, exposure, rank, position, demand, duty, reward, honor, MC, legacy, bosses, power dynamics, angular

The sign and planet(s) in the 10th house can show us the image that is apparent or visible to others within a professional context, what we do exactly or how we take action toward achieving what we desire, what is the vision that we have and the contribution that we make (within the 6th house it is more... well what you HAVE to do, whereas with the 10th it is more end result based aka what impact will I have in the world), what is my role to play here etc, technical abilities and talents, career potential, our tendencies or even enthusiasm pertaining to taking action (or in the opposite case hesitation toward it) during work, which type of career the individual will take on, what we are known for

Looking at the ruler of the 10th house can, of course, give us more detail on career/reputation matters.

The midheaven in hellenistic astrology may not always fall in the 10th house, so for example if it falls in the 9th house your career may involve spiritual and/or religious matters, teaching people perhaps in college, and if it is in the 11th house then it may involve friendships so maybe there is an overlap with the coworker and friend relationship, or if you pay attention to the talks that you have with your friends there might be a certain theme that comes up that may be a good fit for you in your career, etc (use whole sign house system for this)

Personal example: Leo in 10th house, no planets

Right well this one is a bit tricky to delineate, to be honest

Starting with Leo I definitely make... a statement, I suppose? See the thing is with the 10th house it is something that becomes easier to analyze and figure out in adulthood. I would say I am known for being a certain kind of provocative and bold at my school for sure. Leo is all about shining and self expression and I do not shy away from being authentic and presenting myself as I am, yk? Not many people like it but yea

The reason why I mention college is because I do believe the way I behave there is close to how I would behave in jobs as well since it does count as 10th house work for me but that is my own perspective on it so take it with a grain of salt <3

Right now I am doing an internship which is as close as it gets to a job as of now and I would say I am all fired up to get shit done and I am also quite focused on doing the things that I have to do in a good and proper way (fixed sign quality; stability is prioritized) even though the situation rarely ever demands it; I would say I have good work ethic personally.

My midheaven is in my 10th house so there is not much to talk about there it is the most common case

My Sun which is the ruler of my 10th house is in 1st house placidus and I do resonate with that because my career, my legacy is of priority to me and I take that shit super seriously like it is this huge like goal of mine

Whereas with WS my Sun is in my 2nd house and to me that manifests in being very financially driven so while I do have a good work ethic if I find myself investing my time and energy into something long term that is not going to give me a financial ROI then I will look for something that does idc

My Sun trines my Saturn in the 9th house which does make me feel like that slowly but surely success in career vibes are relevant to me and that hard work and leaning into spiritual studies is going to be quite beneficial

My Sun is also square my Uranus in 4th house and I am not in a stage within my life in which I can quite explain that, however, I do think that shit constantly happening within my private life and home could potentially make me lose my focus and weaken my resolve at times butttt I always bounce back so it's oki

I'm so happy you loved it! 💚💕🥰 I can't explain to you just how much this fic just took hold of me and kept going and going, and the different routes kept changing too. I really love how it turned out 🥰

I especially loved incorporating little things YN learned along in her adventures, such as lock picking and self defense. Dawny caring for YN was planned from the get go, but Baul appearing later on came about later. Which I love because I like to mess with him too.

"You said you would be in my future." and "You better keep that promise." lines is what drove this fic. It's what I knew I wanted to add and have it center around with YN and Lilia. Another fun fact: "I will be" and "I will." are purposely written that way, but Lilia doesn't realize exactly what that means yet and ahhhh, I just adore the little intricacies.

Meleanor being the older sibling she is and just making fun of him is hilarious. She knew he would be fine and would come back eventually. He is too stubborn to die. Lilia is trying his best not to smack talk back, he still has wounds that are almost healed after all.

I love how Levan is in the fan club. He's the one out here supporting his OTP and wants to know the whole tea, especially seeing how Lilia is obviously infatuated with this girl.

Levan was already interested in YN because of the fact that Lilia was interested in her and she 'proposed' to him like his wife did. But what really got his interest was the fact that Lilia sounded jealous.

Lilia, the wild cat, this overly arrogant fellow General. He's jealous and he's jealous of another human nonetheless. Oh, how interesting this all is.

Pushing down the desire to bring about Gordon’s imminent demise, Scott had a sudden brainwave and put the charming voice on again. Yes, giving a total stranger access to his brother’s phone was a risk but less of one than allowing Gordon unfettered access without the security of a pinky promise - generally accepted to be the only law he considered himself bound by.

“Alexi listen carefully, I’m going to give you the passcode. Could you use it to find the reservation then lock the phone again please?”

“Sure, honey.” The reply was breathy. Intimidatingly breathy.

“Ok, you ready?”

Shudder.

“Exclamation mark, eight, one, zero, zero, capital D, lower case Y, exclamation mark; capital F, one, five, lower case H, exclamation mark.”

There was a shriek and more unmistakable giggling as Scott hung up with a wry smile before collapsing back on to his bed and closing his eyes. Good luck Juan and co.

Aa he drifted off he considered how it was a shame Virgil would have to change that one tomorrow.

you were having a great time watching the battle of the bands, you had a shared amount of favorite bands you wanted to see, especially the one named sex bomb-omb was it? soon you became much more invested when some guy flew through the roof, killing the band that was supposed to be battling.

‘oh wow…’ you thought, watching the guy challenging the bassist, poor guy you suppose.

matthew patel you soon to find out it’s the guys name gets pretty mad, soon you watched as the two fought over a girl named romona flowers? you watched, amused, as matthew sung and fought, soon loosing to the bassist, leaving the poor guy defeated on the floor. everyone has soon started leaving since the performance was basically over, the guy still being left on the floor which pulled onto your heart strings.

as people continued to leave you walked up to the guys body to check on him just once before you left yourself, you place your hand onto his chest gently to make sure he was still breathing as he was landed on his back pretty hard. soon a groan came from him leading you to quickly take your hand back as you jumped a bit.

“you okay man? you hit the ground pretty hard…” you asked as you watched him open his eyes and trying to sit himself up.

“yea…i’m alright..” he responded, struggling just a bit, yet you you helped him hold him to his feet.

“i like…well…” you say placing your hand onto his hand that was on the bench, looking at him feeling much more nervous than before, “i like you matthew…”

he looked at you for moment, almost speechless and trying to put a single thought together on how to respond. you took him being speechless for the worse and stood up, a bit of tears formed in your eyes and looking down as you didn’t want to make any eye contact with him for one moment out of embarrassment.

“i’m sorry…i-..” “wait (Y/N)…i…” matthew took your hands as he stood up and before you could walk away, gently holding both of your hands into his as it’s like he doesn’t want to hurt them.

“i…i like you a whole lot too, much more than you think..” he admits confidently, caressing your hands as he does so.

“i’ve liked you a lot for a while yknow” he says as he smiles, soon placing one of his hands on your cheeks, gaining a small smile from you which made him happy.

as matthew has his hand place on your cheek, he felt his heart start to race slowly, soon placing a kiss on your lips which was returned. with a moment so valuable, there were a surprise that neither you or matthew could possibly predict.

“woah, sparks??” you two both said confused as the kiss quickly was broken to see what just happened.

you two looked at each other once again, soon laughing and giggling as you two embrace each other in a hug, both of your foreheads against each other. what a great way to confess, you both must’ve thought at the moment.

If you feel up to it, how do you think Juno and fen would do on a solo mission? Maybe they have gnash and mats with them..

so from what i understand: juno and mars are focused on rescue sorts of missions. when pairing that with fen and gnash's focus on stealth missions i think if theyre on a mission to reescue someone important from a super secure sepratist base without raising alarms (a jedi? a senator??? person of interest with intel that is vital to an upcoming battle who was going to defect but was imprisioned first?? probably that last one now im typing it it).

Initial breifing from the jedi council is pretty straight forward, theres little argument yet not a word from fen and nothing but a "yessir" from gnash. Planning i think would go fairly smoothly if they have a schematic of the building, if not i dont think juno would be too happy with fen's just-go-in-and-do-what-needs-doing-when-it-needs-doing "plan" but he's yours so who am i to say.

the actual mission itself? hmmmm....... fen's getting through those vents, gnash and mars most likely, but juno?? yea theyre going to have to sort another way in. gnash and fen would probably go in ahead together to find door controls and get some intel, meanwhile juno and mars are keeping an eye out for external things and watching which ships are coming in n out, who knows maybe it'll be important later

turns out one of the droids who gnash n fen encountered just narrowly had their vitals damaged beyond functioning so even though they couldn't move they could send an sos to the main control room of the base before they went offline

They get the defector, hes not in great shape and needs to be carried. im presuming juno carries them on his back but.......... oh dear now the security has doubled. the sep in charge let them get far into the base on purpose to make their escape that much harder. chaos ensues and stealth is out the window (for now at least)

theres at least one instance of fen picking up mars and bolting despite his protests and squirming because he was in the line of a the first blasterbolt in a coming barage. he's yours so i'll let you determin what kind of noise he makes if any at all. Another instance where juno picks something up with fen on it, sending both flying into a group of droids - the something (probably a door) first taking out the bulk and fen on the back to tear through whoever's left at the back

eventually they lose the gaurds because they killed all the ones who were following them and use the time to sneak out to the extraction point, changing who's carrying the defector so they can all move at a decent speed to get to the point in time. he's very... jumpy? anxious? and that leads to making it harder to move him. fen's suspicious its on purpose, making sure to keep a close eye on him for other signs of betrayal and gnash is rolling his eye under the helmet.

unless juno or mars are one to talk on the ride back, its pretty much wordless other than some assurances on whats happening next for the defector. maybe he natters nervously the entire way, and if so gnash has his

wow i almost missed this question! book wise i'm kinda okay with everything although i would say some people deserved to die more brutally than what they got ..

on the show however i would change so much… i would keep most of the book plot. if we have to do the rhaelicent friendship i would make it more in depth but keep it as toxic as it is. i would keep the book part where laena and rhaenyra are very close and possibly lovers. . it would be a good contrast to show the difference between real friendship and toxic friendship. i would give rhaneyra and alicent more conviction and agency. alot of times they are going back and forth instead of making decisions they want or for themselves. i would keep daemon more like book daemon, yes hes mercurial and hot tempered but he loves his family and various women, on the show it seems he only loves himself, not even his own kids. i would have kept how he got laena which was killing her fiance to have her, i'd show how much he loved her instead of treating her like shit and i would keep rhaenyra and laenor frequent visits to her and daemon and how she flied her personal maester to try to save her, and i would get rid of her stupid death scene, and keep the book version where he carries her to her dragon and him and rhaenyra stayed vigil over her body, that way when they fuck at her funeral it can be in grief instead of the most disrespectful shit ever, maybe then their kids wont look so fucking dejected at their wedding. oh yea i would make it seem like daemon actually loves his daughters instead of walking away from them after their mom dies and ignoring them after they got punched and pushed by a boy instead of smiling in the corner like a jackass... wait why am i rewriting everything?

i would have kept the scene where younger rhaenyra plays with baby aegon, i would have rhaenyra and aegon actually interact at least ONCE before they decide to go to war with each other. id have rhae actually have a moment or two with harwin so ppl won't be shocked she has 3 kids by him without even a kiss.i would like aemond to actually interact with helaena!

i would have like to known how cripsy was able to kill a guest at a wedding IN FRONT OF EVERYONE

💖- what is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series?

So I’m just gonna say this about all of Star Wars in general specifically the newer stuff that’s been coming out lately as well as the future projects they’ve announced to us (minus the Tales of the Empire I’m genuinely excited for that because BARRISS 💙) but in my OPINION they’re focusing on all the wrong characters and spending too much time and money into mediocre storylines when there’s so much more they can be doing. Like the Ahsoka wasn’t really about Ahsoka herself and where they decided to take that show was very strange and weak. Andor head was boring as hell to me and there wasn’t much pay off in there for any of the characters. Bad Batch is only good when the episode isn’t about the Bad Batch themselves but about another character people actually like (I.e Ventress, Rex, etc.). Mando went off the rails in its third season because in my opinion Mando and Grogu’s story ended beautifully with that badass Luke Skywalker finale.

Now before everyone get all butthurt and all up in their feelings, remember that 1.) this is my own unpopular opinion I’m allowed to have and 2.) yes I’m aware I can pick and choose what to watch and not to watch and that if I don’t like a show I won’t watch it. What I’m saying is that the stories and characters I want to see more of don’t get produced which is why I’m so pumped for Tales of the Empire because we finally get a Barriss Offee story which has been left on read for the last decade and why I enjoyed Tales of the Jedi so much because we got more Dooku content and more good Ahsoka content.

Kenduli/Obinara (Luminara Unduli x Obi-Wan Kenobi) all day everyday and I will stan them until the day I die (sorry Satine fans no offense). Anyone who has read The Approaching Storm and paid attention to their interactions in Clone Wars could see these two have chemistry and are an absolute delight together. To me their relationship would have all the class of a pairing like Morticia and Gomez Addams from the Addams family with the sexiness of a James Bond and a Bond girl. Honestly what’s not to like? phantom — i've been reading the fn.af mo.vie no.vel recently, and while i don't consider every little thing in there to be 100% canon as it was based on an earlier version of the script, i love all the little details we find out about mike and his past/emotions/thought processes!

all of this is to say that generally i think he is a strong realist and doesn't think about/believe in the supernatural normally, but scenes like when he explores the main room of the pizzeria during his first night on the job lead me to believe that he can jump to wild conclusions when he's in a state of heightened anxiety. thus, i'm sure that it leads him to thinking about stuff like ghosts or supernatural phenomena being real when otherwise he wouldn't. he's definitely more of a believer after the movie as well, that's for sure lmao

ouch — oh we are writing ANGST in this chili's tonight. mike is just such a born carer/protector that he would be absolutely beside himself if he saw me/my s/i majorly hurt. he'd cycle through so many emotions and likely blame himself even if it was completely out of his control ("i should've been there"). this leads me/my s/i to feel awful in turn, like i should have been able to handle myself so mike wouldn't worry. :,)

if it's a smaller injury however (which i/my s/i gets frequently, i am very accident prone!), he's a lot more level-headed and methodical from the outset. gets me to run it under water if it's bleeding, finds the nearest first aid kit or a band aid from his bag, bandages it oh so tenderly while nagging at me to be more careful next time.

Why was Dad so determined to keep them apart? Why couldn’t he see how much danger Scotty was in when Virgil had to stay behind? What if his brother fell and Virgil wasn’t there to catch him?

He knew it would happen one day. His luck would only last so long. One day he would be too slow, too small, too weak… and Scott’s hand would slip through his and Virgil knew that on that day he would plummet as well.

Gordon always joked that he and Scott were like Earth&Sky and everyone knew that when the Sky fell the Earth would burn.

But every time he defied that inevitability, every time he pushed that day away into the future was a victory. Each won precious time back from the darkness.

But Virgil was so tired.

And Dad kept pulling him back: “He’s gone, Virgil! This is just a fantasy!”

Maybe he was right? Maybe Virgil should accept it and let Scott go.

Maybe he should. But he couldn’t.

He couldn’t stand back and allow Scott to fade to grey. He deserved to be bright, shining blue like the sky he loved so much.

His father’s presence solidified around him like some kind of non-Newtonian fluid. He knew he could break free as he had the advantage of size - Dad’s arms were strong and he was tall but his shoulders were not as broad as they used to be. A small part of his mind puzzled over that while the rest of him braced, ready to force the issue. He took a deep breath, tensed the muscles in his chest and arms and…

He was home.

The melody that he hadn’t realised was missing swirled around him.

Virgil’s eyes met his and widened momentarily before the bear hug was returned with interest. For a few moments. Then Scott’s little brother began to shiver violently and suddenly melted into his arms, a deadweight clinging to him for dear life.

Scott’s knees finally gave out and they hit the floor together with a thud. He winced at the impact ricocheting through his skeleton but there were more important things to think about - Virgil’s respiratory rate was high. Too high. He was peering over Scott’s shoulder, brown eyes wide and flicking back and forth between the door and Scott’s own face, his breath coming in short squeaky gasps.

“I don… I can’t… what…?”

“Sssssh it’s ok you’re safe, I’ve got you.”

Virgil responded with a sound like an animal caught in a trap which made Scott’s every hair stand on end. The hyperventilating worsened as he tried to speak.

“Hel… help me… aaah… how… why are there… two… of… I don’t… you… aaaah… amsoscaredScott… Please don’t… please don’t leave… me.”

Scott held Virgil and rocked him and kissed his hair and did his best to soothe the panic away. His eyes burned again.

“I’m here, Vee. I’ve got you. I’m not going anywhere.”

Virgil calmed a little, then raised a hand and clumsily examined Scott’s face with it. Scott was reminded of baby Allie grabbing at his nose only this time the hand was far bigger and more desperate than curious. He felt a shaky finger trace the scar on his chin before Virgil curled into his chest again and squeezed his eyes shut. Scott continued to rock him ever so gently.

“I’m not ok.”

It came as a whisper.

“Can see two of you Scotty, clear as day.” A shiver and Scott squeezed tighter. “What is wrong with me?”

“You’ve just been poorly, it will pass.”

“Don’t like it.” More breath than words but Scott got the message.

“Me neither bro, one of me is definitely more than enough.”

Virgil snorted.

“But you’re getting better, I promise. It’s gonna be ok.”

Neither were children anymore but something about the position they had adopted… it instantly took her back twenty years to when the two would gravitate towards each other after lights out, teaming up against the monsters in the shadows.

Virgil seemed peaceful but Scott’s breathing was laboured in that stuttering, convulsive way that spoke of a long overdue cry only recently concluded. He glanced up at her, guilt written all over his face but very definitely not relinquishing an inch of the contact he had with his brother. Nor should he.

They were both where they needed to be.

She smiled gently to reassure him and ruffled his hair and her heart faltered as he leaned into her hand. Sally couldn’t remember the last time she had done that… had she been too taken in by his Commander & Protector act to notice how badly he needed looking after too? She’d always been so distracted by the younger boys… and of course he would never ask… Oh Scott!

She bent to kiss the top of his head and he closed his eyes as she whispered “You’re doing great honey.”

The tension in her eldest grandson’s shoulders dissipated as she gestured at her youngest and together they began to pull all the pillows and blankets from the beds.

· tbh, robin is used to people around him being more powerful than he is. all his teammates are definitely stronger than him physically due to their powers/abilities, so it's nothing new.

· but holy crap ur insane

· robin is hardly shaken by anything since he's always fighting ridiculously powerful adversaries and has equally powerful friends. but the sheer power u alone possess is almost a little frightening

· u get to practice fighting with machines only. he can't let u kill anyone while ur sparring😭

· stays way out of range whenever he sees you preparing to use your abilities. he'll very subtly just back up further and further until you're barely within his line of vision- he is not messing with that😭

· due to your abilities, you do tend to get out of control, and often have trouble pulling yourself back together and keeping your powers in check. robin will do whatever he can to help (although he's probably awkward asf abt it lmao)

· sometimes wonders why in the world u even want him fighting alongside you??? u could probably take out ten Robins in ten seconds ngl

· if he is met with someone he doesn't feel is worth physically fighting, he'll just gesture to u (bc of course ur automatically ready to blow up everything in sight) and be like "have at it idc"

· will want to test your abilities, probably by having u fight him or various residents in the zoldyck mansion (obv not his family though)

· will probably have to use force to keep hisoka from trying to get at you. if you're more powerful than illumi, then ur more so than hisoka, which means he'll definitely want to fight you really badly

· honestly, the only reason illumi won't allow the two of u to fight is that he doesn't want u to accidentally kill hisoka.
