first things first: credit to @sodapopper for their hollywood au ! i’m in love with the idea, but i’m notoriously bad at multi chaptered fics so, socmed au !!

second: this takes place by about three months post their parents death (specifically the month is april) so darry is still able to joke and bully his brothers like any sibling and he’s starting to find his footing as a new guardian. soda is also still in school trying to convince darry to let him drop out. timeline wise this takes place in 1967 but i’m using modern movies bc i refuse to watch boring old ass western movies that don’t actually have a plot

Side notes: this is likely to be posted on twitter/bluesky just because i prefer the formatting and the ability to organize it as a thread. but ! i will do my best to keep updating it here as well. what else.

minor note: there’s no real plot really. im just adding stuff as i go, pls pls pls feel free to request something ! also the title is just a filler, i dont rly like it but i can’t think of anything better

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.
