Wahaha! I am honored! i do a LOT of research when it comes to making portfolios... i REALLY like pretending Im making show man.

I have come to a realization that none of my minecraft work would be allowed in a portfolio because they are not original! So I made an original story!!

Even then though, I am not too excited to work as a concept/character design artist any longer... apparently there are too many in the Industry, it would be hard to get one job let alone multiple!

My best bet is storyboarding, because I actually have fun with it, I just do more character design as of now X3 perhaps I will trully get into it once I get the characters settled!

Im very happy to say that Ive made quite a bit of progress, as I am mapping out how the characters should be colored and dressed rather than their anatomy. This is quite exciting!

Souma: Well, a vague understanding of the setting has been imparted unto you now, I’d hope. Truth be told, I lack a thorough comprehension as well.

Ieyasu: That’s quite alright. Historical events are rarely documented in detail.

Ieyasu: As scholars, it is our job to collect fragments scattered across the world and rearrange them into a single picture.

Ieyasu: Which is why I’ll digest this information unquestioningly for now, but do tell, why cover a personal experience instead of historical events?

Keito: Because it’s an interesting historical fact that the show ought to cover.

Keito: ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’ didn’t just cover important historical events, it also covered more obscure events that nobody but history enthusiasts would have heard of.

Keito: That’s why history enthusiasts loved it too.

Keito: Even viewers who had initially thought to themselves, “It’d be easy to remember the details of something that was so boldly stated in most textbooks”, were greatly impressed.

Ieyasu: ……

Keito: From hereon, we will transcend time and space to watch over the life of Ieyasu-sensei in his youth.

Keito: The show will chronicle the struggles Ieyasu-sensei faced while creating ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’, and how, over the years, it came to be such a beloved show.

Kuro: Also, don’t worry about the past versions of Ieyasu-sensei and everyone else, they’re gonna be played by actors.

Kuro: Sensei, if there are any mistakes or misinterpretations, you can point them out from your place in the present.

Keito: Yes. We ‘Spirits of Light’ have set out to correct historical wrongs, so if there are any inaccuracies, we’ll swiftly amend them.

Keito: After listening to a rough recount of events by Hideyoshi-sensei and the like, we combed through related records and past shows to weave together an intricate tale, however—

Keito: Most of it is guesswork. So naturally, a few things might have been misinterpreted.

Ieyasu: Wahaha! You fellows are acting like true historians.

Nobunaga: Oh, the old man is getting worked up now. 

Hideyoshi: Old man’s a total hassle to deal with when he gets like this.

Ieyasu: I see, I see. How interesting.

Ieyasu: I have been researching and interpreting historical events and figures for many years of my life.

Ieyasu: However, who would have thought I would end up as a figure to be researched and interpreted? Suppose that’s what you get when you live long enough.

Ieyasu: The prospect of having my life examined and evaluated in detail is frightening, but it’s something that I’ve done to historical figures for a long time.

Kuro: Don’t worry, gramps. Just like how you’ve done with other historical figures, we won’t portray you with any sort of scorn—

Kuro: We’re just gonna introduce someone we like by showing off all the nice things about them. Kind of like saying, “Here's this charming person.”

Souma: Indeed. ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’ is interesting. The people that created it are similarly interesting.

Souma: This we would like to prove, and make all aware.

Keito: Yes. The reason that ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’ is worth protecting—

Keito: That’s what we’ll demonstrate with this prototype.

Keito: Or rather, the agency behind the show, the sponsors that fund it—

Keito: and so on, will watch the prototype version and think to themselves that “This incredible show must go on.”

Keito: If they have those kinds of thoughts, then our efforts will have been an immense success.

Kuro: Yeah. We’re not just doing this ‘cause it’s our job, or ‘cause the agency told us to.

Kuro: We’re doing it ‘cause it’s something we have to protect, and that’s exactly why we’re throwing ourselves into protecting it.

Souma: But of course, if that were simply the case, it would be naught but self-satisfaction.

Souma: For which reason we shall aim to make the show interesting and entertain the viewer to the fullest extent.

Souma: And so, if we are able to make a sort of show that brings happiness to those involved with, those who view, all persons who have been touched in some manner by ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’—

Souma: ‘Tis only then, will we have accomplished our goal.

Souma: How about it, everyone?

Ieyasu: Yes…… Yes, that is what us historians have been doing. 

Ieyasu: No, it’s what we wanted to do.

Ieyasu: Did you figure that out through your interactions with us?

Kuro: Haha. It’s ‘cause I’m slow to catch on, and I’m pretty dumb. When I was in school I was always a failure when it came to my studies.

Kuro: That’s why I don’t wanna miss out on what’s important. I don’t wanna make that mistake.

Kuro: So whaddya think, sensei? Have I, have we gotten any wiser?

Kuro: If you think we have, it’d be all thanks to you senseis.

Nobunaga: Nope. It’s because you took on an attitude of sincere willingness to learn.

Nobunaga: That’s why you were able to learn and grow.

Nobunaga: How wonderful. If all students were like you, maybe I wouldn’t have to constantly live in a foreign country. I wouldn’t have been regarded with annoyance and disdain, and lost my place.

Hideyoshi: I think the main reason people don’t like you is because of how harshly you speak and act, Nobunaga-sensei. Anyways, the point is that you wanted to see an increase in the number of ‘good kids’ like them, right? 

Hideyoshi: To nurture kids just like these ones, kids that’ll absorb everything great, that’ll swiftly grow and change.

Hideyoshi: To do that with ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth’. No, to do it with what you guys will be creating from now on,  ‘Rumbling Heaven and Earth R’.

Hideyoshi: That’s exactly like what Ieyasu-sensei would always say when I was a student. He’d say it so much I got sick of hearing it.

Hideyoshi: Studying isn’t just something you do to pass your exams or use in the future.

Hideyoshi: It’s to live a happier life, to make a happier world. Because It’s something that everyone can enjoy.

Ieyasu: Oh, you remembered? I’m glad.

Ieyasu: There is joy in learning, and so, there is joy in teaching. May you continue to experience such joy to the fullest.

Keito: Yes. Please enjoy yourselves as you watch over us, senseis.

Keito: Because what you senseis have loved, protected, and nurtured—

Keito: Is something that we will never neglect.

CURRENTLY READING: I'm not much of a novel reader, in fact I have a very hard time focusing on both manga and books but I am at the end of volume 3 for Goodnight PunPun and am planning on reading Flowers for Algernon for the 2nd time.

CURRENTLY WATCHING: Hm well, I'm rewatching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure with my friends! One of them already watched it but one of them it's their first time and I've been INSAAANELY fixated on it. Anyways, we're going into part 3 which is my favorite part right next to part 5 ehee ahh i don't think I'm actively newly watching something though.

CURRENTLY CRAVING: Nothing really I'm quite full :] I just had a bagel with cream cheese wahaha

COFFEE OR TEA?: COFFEE. i don't like tea really, I only ever really liked grain teas rather than herb, floral, or fruit teas. I love coffee though... I researched a lot about coffee for fun and I'm determined to one day own a nice coffee station when I get a place of my own.

Currently Reading: i'm such a fake reader.. i have a stack of books on my nightstand that i keep promising i'll dig into but i end up passing out every night before i get there 😭 i'm like mid-way through a little life by hanya yanagihara (had to stop because it was soul-crushing). i keep red, white & royal blue by casey mcquiston there because it's a comfort read for me, it's just very cute. and the two that i've been meaning to start are jurassic park by michael crichton and tin man by sarah winman. there's also a few fics i've been meaning to catch up on/start reading but tbh i've had a very difficult time reading in general lately so i'm not sure when i'll get to them.

hi joo (if it’s ok to call you joo), so tell me a lil more about all your future wips. i’m blown away bc 14?! 🙃

yes absolutely call me joo !!

so yeah, aside from the seven plot bunnies you can see in my pinned post, i have seven more wips that ive basically conceptualized and outlines (a lil)

1. 3mix/dahyun band au - this one's basically a spiritual successor to "pretentious" in that it's a trio plus dahyun, except it's angstier ! it also talks about another type of poly relationship that i don't really write too much about, but is interesting nonetheless (shoutout to my (not real) mom for inspiring this part of the fic ily)

2. dubchaeng actors au - this one is a self indulgent acting au bc i study acting techniques as a theater major wahaha so basically dahyun and chaeyoung are actors that learn two different acting techniques, the adler technique and the strasberg technique, and they become rivals bc they don't like each other's techniques (i suggest u look them up, the original people who made these techniques also had a rivalry ! its pretty cool, although stanislavski/meisner is my preferred technique)

3. dahyo demigod au - this one's a doozy and bc i love writing mythology, if you're familiar with the ulster cycle of irish mythology, there's a hero named cu chulainn who's the son of a sun god who gets taught the ways of war by scathach, a sort of immortal witch/warrior maiden who teaches heroes (if u play fgo u're probably familiar with them) in this au, dahyun is cu chulainn and jihyo is scathach, im tryna do research for this one cus im not too familiar with irish mythology, but i'm probably not gonna stick too close to the actual mythology cus vibes HAHA

4. dahmo genie au - this au is a very neat one, it's based off of a short film i watched many years ago called "friend like me" (2016) its on youtube i suggest u watch it ! basically, momo's a kid who found a genie lamp when she was young, and asked for a best friend. out comes dahyun, a genie who becomes her best friend (lowkey inspired by dahyun with the genie costume HAHA)

5. dajeong serial killer au - ahhh this is a really good one and the subject of so many conversations with my (not real) mom that it literally has an au of itself. basically, dahyun's the heir of a mafia gang who's attracted the attention of jeongyeon, who's a serial killer. they elope and go on the run from rival gangs that hate dahyun's family and dahyun's own family (ive written the ending to this but barely the beginning HAHAHA)

6. dayeon artist au - this one's still in the conceptual stages of writing (as in i have nothing on it yet and it exists solely in my mind palace) but basically it's a dystopian au with the upper class bourgeois people and poor lower class people. nayeon's a well-esteemed, rich artist that does works for other rich people, while dahyun's a rebel and a revolutionary artist who tags buildings and makes protest art (this will hopefully come in time for me to take my art of protest class huhu)

7. dayeon magical realism au - this one's,,,a little hard to explain, because it's based off of a filipino short story called "the kite of stars" (its in english, so i suggest u search it up and read it !) basically its the story of a rich noble girl who wants to create a kite that can carry her into the sky so she can be seen by a stargazer she's fallen in love with, so she goes on a journey to gather all the parts of the kite, joined by a butcher's boy who's fallen in love with her. in this au, nayeon's the rich noble girl, mina's the stargazer, and dahyun's the butcher's boy (yes unrequited love wahaha)

THOSE are my future wips, i ALSO have three aus that im working on that honestly may never see the light of day if i dont finish my current wips HAHAHA these are vaguer, more universe style instead of a single fic, so these will probably consist of multiple oneshots and drabbles !

1. darkest dungeon 2 au - alright COMPLETELY self indulgent holy shit i just love darkest dungeon. if you haven't played, it's basically a grim, eldritch horror vibe game where you take heroes on expeditions to destroy evil creatures and monsters. the second game focuses on the heroes traveling a world plunged into insanity and darkness to try and destroy the root of evil at the base of a mountain (its super fucking cool) anyway, yeah each member of twice would be a hero here, trying to balance saving the world, dealing with emotional trauma, and loving each other all at the same time (tbh dont expect much from this, its super self indulgent and it might not make sense to anyone HAHA)

2. magic school au - am also super excited for this one !! now u may think this is hogwarts but no ! it is actually a full magic school au that i've created from the ground up (kind of, its based on dnd magic HAHA) this was originally made for a world that i created for dnd (yes im a nerd ok) basically each member of twice is a student that's part of a special fancy organization that takes care of student and faculty requests ! yes its cute some of them are elves, theres lots of magic and monsters, but most of all, it's basically magic college HAHA my (not real) mom requested a fic, and i kinda got ahead of myself and made a whole ass au with like three or four oneshots planned !!! (this one's for u mom ily)

3. my apartment au ! this one's KIND OF based off of supernatural (the show) except a lot more lighthearted HAHA, basically dahyun is the landlord of an apartment that only houses supernatural and mythological creatures ! so each member of twice (besides dahyun) is a creature of mythology that stays in the apartment. this au is special cus its my first attempt at an OT9 ! just one big poly soup of everyone loving each other (but still dahyun-centric mostly hue)

ikevamp oc: franz kafka

ye so i’m also jumping on the train; meet my ikevamp oc Franz Kafka!! 🥳🥳 (i may have went a little overboard with this lol but i really put my brain into this and did a couple research on the real Franz Kafka, but obviously not everything i put down below are historically accurate, i mostly just took inspirations from it)

General Info

Name: Franz Kafka

Birthday: July 3rd

Height: 178 cm

Past Occupation: Novelist

Vampiric Type: Lesser Vampire

Appearance

Really, really dark brown hair it’s almost black. Thick eyebrows that is the same color as his hair. Green eyes which at times could look distant, but naturally it looked cold and piercing. He’s not much on the toned body type, but rather on the slender type with a hint of well-built muscles. He mostly wore darker color clothing. At first, he might look intimidating because of the nature of his piercing gaze, but he’s actually pretty friendly and he smiles A LOT.

Personality

He’s composed most of the time, distant and yet still very courteous and kind. He tends to be pretty adaptable and is quite popular amongst the 19th century Paris society, although he always kept a reasonable distance and lets no one get pass a certain level of intimacy and attachment with him. Like Arthur, he had spent quite a number of nights in the arms of some Parisian women (although it’s still not as many as Arthur), but he made it clear that there are not and will not ever be an emotional attachment between them.

Relationship with other residents that I think would be most compatible with him, in no particular order (these are all platonic)

Mozart

This relationship is ...complicated, the only other person Mozart actually talks to in the mansion besides Jean, is Franz, at first he was mainly only enjoy talking to him because Franz can also speak his language, German, but obviously Mozart never tells him that. But as they talk more and more, their relationship progress to something more like a love-hate relationship (kinda like Arthur and Theo’s friendship). Mozart enjoys his company and likes talking to him, but he doesn’t particularly likes Franz as an individual lol, he views Franz’s habit of spending nights on some random woman’s bed as despicable and uncouth (Mozart thinks that habit of his really doesn’t match with his refined, dignified manner and personality), and Mozart has also nagged him about it on more occasions than once.

Napoleon

Franz quite like Napoleon and so does the latter, they are somewhat alike in one way or another. Franz pretty much respects Napoleon for who he was and who he is now, even when he is no longer The Emperor of France, it was clear that he is a true leader and a honorable gentleman. Meanwhile, Napoleon is just glad that he can count on Franz whenever there’s a problem in the mansion like when the other residents are making a fuss like usual. Franz has once proposed the idea of him writing a novel or a short-story which the main character is being inspired off Napoleon, and the Monsieur de Wahaha just laughs and said sure, he will gladly read it if ever Franz actually write it.

Arthur

Okay they're pretty much very different from each other and so their personality contrasts whenever they spend time together but they just work, somehow. Franz is very calm and collected while Arthur, well... not so much lol, they're drinking buddies and occasionally will go to the bar together (along with Theo too sometimes, but more often than not, it's just the two of them because frankly, Franz doesn't feel very comfortable around Theo so Arthur had to divide his drinking time between the two of them). Also, Arthur would never admit this to him but lately he had been feeling a lot little irritated that Franz seems to be attracting more girls than he did whenever they go to the bar together.

Dazai

Surprisingly, these two get along pretty well. They bot have similar view that the world is a cold and shallow place, somehow they could understand each other without really having to say anything, as someone who has also suffered from self-destructive habits and depression, he felt a great sense of empathy towards Dazai (although they never actually talk about it). Franz also likes Dazai’s ludicrous humor and enjoys his company, the two of them would sometimes occupy the library to just read in silence together.

So yeah that’s all i could think about for now haha, I do think that he deserves more traits and random facts about him but for now this is all my brain could muster up, thank you to anyone who’s still reading up to this point, despite this being a self-indulgent imagination of me 😂😂

"Eheheheh ... hehehehe ... ahahahaha!" Magolor couldn’t stop laughing. "My plan was a huge success! I'm a genius!" Even when he looked behind him, there was no pursuer to be found. He stopped and looked up at the sky.

The skies of the Town of Wind were always hazy with smoke emitted from factories and steam locomotives, but in that smoky sky, there was a beautiful dream-like ship floating so high up it was invisible from the ground.

"Please wait, Lor ... " Magolor murmured. The Lor Starcutter, a mysterious ship made from ancient technology.

Although the truth was hazy due to various legends surrounding it, it was said that if the pilot’s heart was true, they could cross over to a different world. 

But the Lor was broken. It could not move because some of its parts were missing. Magolor had long sought parts to move the Lor, but the ship was made from the power of an ancient civilization and thus could not be repaired with ordinary parts. It needed gears from that ancient civilization. Such precious items, how would someone obtain them?

Magolor, at a loss, heard a rumor. A millionaire in Diamond Town was secretly looking for someone who could read ancient characters. Apparently, an ancient machine had been found in the mines and was currently being investigated.

 ...  Maybe, there would be parts for the Lor there.

Thinking so, Magolor rushed to Diamond Town. The ancient machine was more powerful than he had imagined. If he could find the extracted gears, his dream would surely come true. He would be able to move the ship of dreams, Lor. Thus, Magolor began to come up with a plan to gather the gears.

First, he needed to find their locations. Recalling a story that Kirby, an airplane pilot, had received the Star Compass, Magolor decided to use him. Once the locations were known, next, he had to choose someone who was likely to get the three gears. If Magolor left it to Kirby alone, he might gather the gears in the blink of an eye and deliver them to Mr. Fugo immediately, so he decided to split up the information between several people. 

Magolor chose President Dedede, next. Although President Dedede had lost many times in a row to Kirby in the races, he still seemed to have good skill as an airplane pilot. He would be perfect for finding the gear on the clock tower.

And finally, there was Meta Knight in the Town of Light. It was unusual for an aristocrat to be so adventurous, so he should have an interest in the ancient machine.

Magolor’s operation was a great success. All three of them got the gears beautifully. He worried when Meta Knight had deciphered the description of the ancient machine, but in the end it wasn't a problem. No, that, in fact, was why everyone got together, and why the three gears aligned in the box he now held. It was rather convenient for him.

Now, all that had to be done was for the gears to be delivered to the Lor. If it took in the ancient power of the gears, the Lor would finally be able to wake from its long slumber and move again.

Before that, though, he had to first escape the town before he was found by his pursuers.

Magolor had started running again on the road leading to the town gate when several men suddenly appeared and blocked his path. He stopped quickly. The men dressed in black and wore matching badges. Fugo's subordinates, Magolor immediately knew. He winced. He couldn’t afford to let the gears he had be taken away. Somehow, he had to deceive and dodge them. Magolor waved one hand and laughed amiably.  

"Wow, Mr. Fugo’s men! Did you all come to meet me~? I’m glad, thank you!"

" …………… " 

The men were expressionless and silent. They gradually approached Magolor. Then, from behind the men, someone began to emerge—it was Mr. Fugo.

"There you are, Professor Magolor. Where are you going in such a hurry?" he said with a smile. Magolor looked at Mr. Fugo's face. That gentle smile ... he could not tell what Fugo was thinking.

(—I fooled you, are you aware ... Have you not noticed yet ... I wonder?) 

Magolor did not know. Now, it was all or nothing. He mustered all of his might and spoke in a cute voice.

"Ah, Mr. Fugo! I got the gears! I was just about to deliver them to you ... " However, at that moment, a big net dropped from above and enveloped him immediately.

"WAHHH!?" Suspended by the net, Magolor was trapped.

"W-w-what are you doing!?"

Mr. Fugo gazed at the suspended Magolor with a cold smile. "I never trusted you from the beginning. I knew you were strange and kept an eye on you. After all, my eyes were right." 

" …………… " 

"Trying to escape with the gears. You have good courage, plenty, I’ll have you know. Now, hand them over."

Magolor looked up at the sky. The lie had been exposed from the beginning ... Mr. Fugo had been examining him too closely. It was too late, but—when Mr. Fugo's men tried to remove the net, a bright red sports car came rushing in at incredible speeds. It screeched to a halt. Mr. Fugo’s subordinates jumped out of the way.

Of course, the one driving the sports car was Meta Knight, and in the passenger’s seat was Daroach. Daroach jumped from the car and lifted Magolor up, still wrapped in the net. 

"Oh, Mr. Fugo, he’s caught the guy before us. Thanks, that saves us a lot of trouble." Daroach threw Magolor into the back seat of the car and jumped back into the passenger seat. 

"See you!" The car tried to start suddenly, but Mr. Fugo came back to his senses. 

"Oh, you guys! Don’t be ridiculous! Take the gears!" he shouted. Mr. Fugo’s subordinates quickly surrounded the car. One person threw knives at the car’s tires. They were flattened instantly. Meta Knight raised his voice in anger.

"What are you doing! What if you scratch my car! And my tires! Those were custom-made products that had intensive research put into them to produce the fastest speed in the world!"

"Hey, hey. This isn’t the place to get angry," Daroach said. "Fugo's minions are vicious. We need to take them seriously!" The men in black suddenly attacked. Daroach swiftly put on his top hat and cloak, then grabbed his cane.

"Silk, red top hat and cloak ... You! You're the thief who snuck into my mansion and stole the material on the ancient machine ...! " Mr. Fugo shouted.

"I’m not just any thief. I am the great thief, Daroach! Remember it!" Daroach brandished his cane. A fierce cold wind and a wave of ice were expelled from its tip. Mr. Fugo's subordinates faltered, but they weren’t going to stand around to get done in. 

"Don't flinch! There are only two thieves!" 

"Catch them!" They attacked, yelling. One of the men jumped from behind Daroach. Meta Knight quickly picked up the rose in his chest pocket and threw it.

"Augh!" The rose hit the enemy's hand. He winced and stepped back.  

Daroach sighed in relief. "I was saved. That rose, isn’t it just a decoration!?" he shouted.

"It's not a decoration. It's a gentleman's grace." Then, Meta Knight pulled out the feathers attached to his top hat and threw them.

"Ugh!" Weapons fell from the enemy's hands. Daroach whistled.

"You're the best! You should scout for the Squeak Squad!" However, the number of enemies became overwhelming. Like the heads of a hydra—even when you defeated one, it was as if two more took their place. They came one after another. The tires of the car had been flattened; they could not leave. The pair were gradually cornered and began to be put at the disadvantage.

"This is bad ... at this rate ...! " It was when Daroach yelled out—there was a roaring sound and a strong wind blew. Daroach, Meta Knight, and Mr. Fugo's men were all staggered by the intense gale. Flying overhead was the Warp Star!

"Kirby!" Meta Knight shouted.

"Have you finally caught up? It's about time!" Daroach said, relieved. Then, the roaring sound was heard again. As if chasing Kirby, the Great King DDD XX appeared. The two planes diverted to the square nearby. Kirby and Waddle Dee jumped from the Warp Star, and President Dedede jumped from the Great King DDD XX. 

"Daroach! Have you caught Magolor!?" President Dedede asked.

"Not quite," Daroach loudly replied. "As you see, we could use some help!" 

"What!?" President Dedede glared at Mr. Fugo's subordinates. "They won’t take the gears! I’ll fight alongside you!" In the hands of the president was an oversized hammer; a weapon that was loaded onto his plane in case of an emergency.

"TAKE THIS—!" President Dedede swung the hammer. The men in black were blown away all at once. "Wahaha! Did you know my true capability!?"

"You bastard!" New subordinates rushed in without delay. They drew their weapons.

"I won't let you do that!" Kirby shouted. He spread both hands and took a deep breath. Kirby’s forte, Inhale!

"Aughhhh!" The men’s weapons were sucked into Kirby's mouth one after another. The odds turned in their favor! 

"W-what are these guys!" 

"Too strong ...! " The subordinates paled and stepped back. President Dedede turned and laughed out loud.  

"Wahaha! Weak, weak! You are no match for this President Dedede!" He swung his hammer around and bashed away the enemies in front of him. It was then—

"WAHHHHH! HELP ME ..! " a scream resounded. Waddle Dee.

Waddle Dee, hidden behind an airplane, was found by the enemy. A man in black held him up with one hand. 

"Look! I've caught your companion!" he shouted in an unfeeling voice. Kirby froze.

"Waddle Dee ...! What are you going to do, you ...! " President Dedede shouted.

"I’m sorry, President ... " Waddle Dee shook as he was gripped by the enemy.

"Stop! Let Waddle Dee go!" Kirby said, but the enemy was unresponsive. Waddle Dee shut his eyes tightly. Mr. Fugo stepped forward with satisfaction. 

"—It seems the game has come to an end." 

Kirby and the others glared at him, but there was nothing they could do. Waddle Dee had been taken hostage. "Drop your weapons," he said with a smile.

The group looked at each other. 

"I told you to drop them, didn't you hear? Then, this will be painful." Mr. Fugo gave a signal to the subordinate holding Waddle Dee.

"STOP!" It was Kirby who shouted. He raised his hands. "We lost. Please, release Waddle Dee!" he said.

"Kirby, you ...! " Meta Knight tried to stop him, but President Dedede dropped his hammer and spoke.

"Your weapons ... drop them. Meta Knight, Daroach."

"What did you say!?"

"I'm sorry. This is all because of my stupid subordinate ... " President Dedede hung his head. Kirby was shocked. He had never seen the president like this before.  

"You’re going to surrender? You're just going to give him the gears!?" Daroach said, frustrated. 

" ... Yeah ... I am ... "  President Dedede said in a weak voice. "Waddle Dee, we can’t abandon him ... " 

"President Dedede!"

" ... I’m sorry! Please!" He couldn’t raise his face. Seeing that, Meta Knight put his red rose back into his chest pocket. Daroach sighed and dropped his cane on the ground as well. Mr. Fugo’s eyes shone.

"Good! Then, let's get the gears!" His subordinates walked over to Magolor and removed the net. Magolor could not resist. Mr. Fugo was then handed the box containing the three gears. He checked the contents and burst into laughter. "Alright! I’ve got them! Now, the ancient machine is at my disposal!"

A black luxury car pulled up. Fugo got in and began giving out orders.

"To the mine! Head to the discovery site of the ancient machine! Take the hostage, too." He looked to his subordinate who held Waddle Dee. He nodded, and got into the car with him in hand. 

"Release Waddle Dee!" Kirby said.

"I’ll release him once the ancient machine is activated. Until then, he’s coming with me." 

"That’s ... so underhanded!" 

"Mmhmhmhm ... " Mr. Fugo then ordered the driver to start the car.  

"I'll chase you!" President Dedede yelled. He jumped into his plane. Daroach quickly followed him.

"Give me a ride, President. Meta Knight’s car had its tires punctured." 

"Alright, get in." The Great King DDD XX carried the two and soared high into the sky. "By the way, Daroach. What’s with that outfit?" President Dedede asked as he watched Mr. Fugo's car traveling below.

"Hm?"

"That red, silk top hat and cloak—I’ve never seen it before. What happened? Is it to match with Meta Knight?" President Dedede didn't know what Daroach was yet. Daroach put a hand on his hat and laughed.

"Well, I just wanted a bit of a change. When all this is over, I'll return to my café manager self." 

" ... Hmm. I don’t really get it," President Dedede said and shook his head.

    At the same time, Meta Knight and Magolor were on board Kirby's Warp Star. 

"Thank you, Meta Knight. For putting down your weapon for Waddle Dee," Kirby said as he flew the plane.

"In that situation, I wouldn’t have done anything else. And, Kirby—" 

"It’s okay, Kirby!"

"Kirby. Is there a strategy?" 

"Huh? Strategy?" 

"’I feel like if we get the gears, there will be some kind of big change.’ That’s what you were thinking, right?"

"Ehh!?" Kirby was surprised. "Amazing! How did you know what I was thinking, Meta Knight?" 

"I wonder how, too. With you, I don't feel like this is the first time we’ve met."

"Really? I do too. It's mysterious."

"Me too!" Magolor, sitting alongside Meta Knight in the back seat, shouted. "Kirby and Meta Knight, it’s as if you’re old friends. Strange!"

" ... And you ... " Meta Knight looked disgusted. He tried to say something, but Magolor quickly continued. 

"I pretended to trick you and run away with the gears to lure Fugo, and hey! It worked! "

" ... Lies." 

"It’s not a lie. I put on that act because I wanted to help everyone." But Meta Knight didn't seem to trust him at all. He turned away from Magolor and looked up at the sky.

"Airplanes are much faster than cars. They’re quite good ... Maybe I'll buy some ... " he murmured.

What are your views about some brands banning turtles from fanmeetings. Doesn’t it also defeat the argument that ggdd allow bjyx to continue for commercial reasons?

I have written pretty extensively before in terms of how artists are often evaluated by talent buyers - which use pretty similar criteria as brands when it comes to artist valuation. 

When it comes to marketing, there are a few key performance indicators (KPIs) that pretty much all brands care about in some way globally. These KPIs largely shape the brand’s marketing campaigns, and also allow brands to set clear, measurable goals and milestones. 

When a brand chooses to partner with a celebrity, they must consider a few KPIs:

Reach - The celebrity’s total market reach, which includes social media metrics and media impressions. This allows the brand to approximate the market capitalization an artist may have.

Engagement - How much overall engagement (both online and offline) that a celebrity can generate. On social media, this would include likes, sharing posts, talking about/posting about a celebrity, producing fan works, watching videos, etc. Offline, this would include watching TV shows the artist is on, attending events, buying products to support the artist (music, merchandise, film, etc.)

Sales Growth - Normally, this would be called “conversions,” but I’m just going to make it easy to understand and call this “sales growth.” This would be the amount of product sales a celebrity generates.

Social Media Growth - A celebrity’s involvement with a brand can give all their social media channels a significant boost from the celebrity’s fans following the brand’s social media platforms. This is a measurable KPI that brands track.

Sentiment - What is the market sentiment of a celebrity? This is essentially a celebrity’s reputation score, which more or less can be approximated through a combination of media coverage and social media mentions.

Rankings - There are a number of research companies that regularly put out rankings for celebrities that include the celebrity’s popularity, star power index, social media power, brand power, etc. The combined average of all of these rankings can help a celebrity determine how much overall power an artist may have. Rankings that focus specifically on a celebrity’s brand power or selling power would be more heavily weighted if the primary focus of a brand campaign is to generate more sales.

There are other KPIs such as cost of customer acquisition, customer retention/loyalty, average lifetime spend per customer, etc. that would be important to a brand, but the aforementioned KPIs above are among the most important factors when brands consider working with celebrities.

However, KPIs alone are not enough for a brand to determine whether or not a celebrity would make a good brand ambassador. In addition to all the aforementioned KPIs, a brand must also consider the following:

Image - The celebrity’s overall image. Is this celebrity a bit of a “bad boy” or are they boy-next-door?

Compatibility - How well the celebrity represents/matches with the brand’s values and identity. (This is also known as “image congruity.”)

Credibility - How much credibility the public might place in the celebrity representing the brand. A celebrity who clearly would know nothing about a certain product might not be the best person to represent a brand or their interests.

Affect transfer - Describes the process by which a celebrity’s fan base might transfer their feeling about a celebrity to the brand. If fans have a positive relationship with the celebrity, then this relationship will transfer. If there is negativity, however, that may also unfortunately transfer.

Controversy - Whether or not there is any controversy associated with the celebrity.

I actually went ahead and conducted research to ensure that my comments are actually accurate for the Chinese market. The primary source materials that inform the rest of this post are “Assessing Celebrity Endorsement Effects in China: A Consumer-Celebrity Relational Approach,” (Hung, Tse, Chan 2011) and “Insiders’ Views: The Current Practice of Using Celebrities in Marketing Communications in Greater China” (Leung, Cheng, Tse 2018). 

According to Hung et al, there are three types of relationships fans have with celebrities. Since no one is here for a super academic report, I’ll just summarize these relationships as: 1.) regular fans (“entertainment motivated”); 2.) super fans (“intense attachment”); and 3.) sasaeng (“pathological”). 

Due to the fact that the type of relationship a fan has with the celebrity has a direct correlation with the relationship that the consumer has with the brand, brands must carefully consider each type of relationship when they choose to work with a celebrity. 

Even if a celebrity has incredible KPIs, if the celebrity has a segment of fans that the brand perceives to be “unfavorable” to their marketing goals or their brand image, then the brand may wish to prioritize one market segment over another. 

In the case of a brand banning a CP from fan meetings, it is possible that a brand may take the following into consideration: 

It is a known fact that solos and CP fans do not get along. 

It is a known fact that XZ solos and WYB solos do not get along.

It is a known fact that not only do these three groups not get along, they have full-blown fan wars which can often spiral out of control online. 

CP fans account for 5% of the artist’s overall fanbase. Therefore, it is a fact that the remaining 95% are solo fans. 

Because the brand can’t predict what will happen at a fan meeting, they have no way of knowing whether or not any sort of controversial issue may arise from having an artist’s solo fans, who are known to be “at war” with the artist’s CP fans in the same room. As a result, they may perceive that CP fans are a risk factor they simply do not want to engage, which may be why a brand might dissuade CP fans from attending a fan meeting. 

Moreover, a brand might not want to associate with CP fans because they may feel that CP fans are not representative of the kind of consumer they want to target. Specifically, they may believe that CP fans represent values that are not in line with the brand’s values. (In other words, the brand is homophobic and they do not want anyone who supports a same-sex CP to talk about their brand, as that would associate the brand with a same-sex CP.) 

Additionally, the brand may be wary of CP fans due to the fact that solos are known to be anti-CP in both camps, and antis are known to have pathologically obsessive, destructive tendencies. Trying to distance themselves from CP may essentially be a way for the brand to distance themselves from antis. 

Most importantly, a brand may find the very idea of a CP to be controversial, or they may perceive the other celebrity in the CP to be “controversial.” According to Leung et al, “a controversial celebrity might bring extra media publicity, yet consumers might ultimately focus their attention on the celebrity instead of the brand being promoted.” Anson Shum, who once ran marketing and communications for Bluebell Group in Greater China, also states in the article, “If I invited [a controversial celebrity] to come to the event … [their] presence might attract many paparazzi, but would the attention be diverted to the brand or focused only on [them]? That’s why I rarely invite controversial celebrities.” 

We might also recall that in China, fans and brands alike may consider CP fans to support an artist only because of the CP - and not for their solo endeavors. As such, a brand may believe that CP fans do not have the same consumer value when it comes to customer retention as solo fans may have, especially if the brand wants to have a long-lasting relationship with an artist, such as Wang Leehom and Wahaha Mineral Water, which lasted twenty years. 

If the brand’s primary goal for the fan meet is to develop customer retention, which would essentially increase the lifetime value of a customer, then they may (falsely) believe that catering at all to CP fans would not be good for their brand’s goals - especially if there is limited space at the fan meet. They would therefore instead want to maximize all seats for their true target audience, which are not CP fans, but solo fans. 

Obviously, I think that a brand choosing to deter CP fans from a fan meeting is stupid as hell, because that deterrence would result in a negative association with the brand, and they more or less shot themselves in the foot. For all that brand knew, the CP fans they excluded from the event could have been whales (i.e. big spenders) who could have given a massive boost to their bottom line. Alienating an entire market segment is literally one of the dumbest things any brand could ever do.

However, at the same time, if the brand is opting to alienate that group on account of their homophobic values, then the brand really doesn’t deserve the consumer’s money to begin with.

CRIPES this is such a tough question to answer,, emotionally anyways.

Well for one. All of them got on hell of a moral upheaval. What Snicket did was pretty... Significant, and really turned a lot of what they’ve known and believed in on their heads. No doubt the person who would be most affected by such an upheaval would be Moxie: she is the one who has a more black and white grasp on morality, not to mention was one of his closer friends

It’s a bit hard to say, but it’s likely a lot of them would be more cynical and somber after that. The ending left their fates very ambiguous: Cleo’s research wasn’t shown if it succeeded or not, or how the rest of the Association reacted to Hangfire’s reveal about their parents (which could affect whether or not they’d leave town, or stay and fix things, and even that sounds like a tall task).

However, the fact that some time later Snicket still sends out his four accounts, esp to the Bellerophons, indicates they’re alive, and at least operational. Not to mention, he did set out what each individual role would be to re-establish Stain’d after he left, and they all seemed to be cooperating with one another, even if they shunned him. So, it’s very, very likely most, if not all of them stayed to fix things. No doubt he’d be like a mark in their minds that would leave with confusing feelings and some hint of bitterness,, but they all had each other, they’d likely be fine (although I have a feeling Moxie would be hit with the worst of it, considering she’s the only one who knew what he sacrificed for them and not to mention he’s become a morally grey figure, rather than the Big Good she assumed him to be)

The one I worried the most is Ellington... It’s so, so easy to allow her hurt and anger to turn her to a villain in the future like her father, but I hope not :( she’s been through enough. I doubt she’ll get help from the Association, not after she sold off the Bombinating Beast at the potential cost of the town and their lives, but hopefully Kit will be there? What I feel indisputable in my heart is that she’ll remain doing morally ambiguous stuff; I dunno, but the likes of VFD kids, Ellington - they all seem like the ones who are already too far gone in the dark, that once they’ve set out on that path, all other roads are already closed off.

Anyways it was exactly that ending why I made an AU wahaha (listen,, reading that at age 12 was.... extremely Traumatizing even now I couldn’t stand reading it)

Hisoka: Sounds like it'll be a real ride if Tsumugi takes that role.

Kazunari: And if we're going for something special, then Ari-rin comes to mind. So, in other words, why don't Ari-rin take the role of the forgetful person?

Homare: Oh, me?

Itaru: That's fine by me. Then, about the other fitting etudes...

Homare: Either roles seem like they'd suit the both if you.

NOT A BOOK REVIEW

Last year, I decided to not read any romantic novel to pave a way to self-help books because I want to 'grow' (lol) mentally and spiritually. But halfway through 2021, I gave 'It Ends With Us' by Colleen Hoover a try (this was before it went on hype). And tbh, the storyline, for me, is so-so. That's why I always say it was overrated. But also maybe, romantic novels were not my thing anymore. (that was what I thought!!!)

But here are some of my fave lines in the book:

"I love it when the sky makes me feel insignificant."

"I like tonight."

And another:

“Do you ever wish people were more transparent?”

“How so?”

“I feel like everyone fakes who they really are, when deep down we’re all equal amounts of screwed up. Some of us are just better at hiding it than others.”

“I don’t think being a little guarded is a negative thing,” I say. “Naked truths aren’t always pretty.”

And then, came 2022, I was so bored in the office and I decided to read a romantic novel again just to see if I'm gonna like it. And I've come up with a decision to give CoHo another try since her books are on trend on TikTok and Instagram. I did some research and came up with 'November 9'. It's a YA novel, and I don't know if I loved it, but it pulled me out of my reading slump for romantic novels. Looks like Ms. CoHo started to redeem herself lol.

Here's my fave line from the book:

"Comfort can sometimes be a crutch when it comes to figuring out your life. Goals are achieved through discomfort and hard work. They aren’t achieved when you hide out in a place where you’re nice and cozy."

Then I read 'Regretting You' next. I liked the storyline. It's a mother-daughter story. How the mother was so afraid her daughter might make the same mistakes she made in her youth.

And then that book made me read another CoHo.

UGLY LOVE

Well, to me, hindi siya ugly kind of love. And I am biased, yes! Pero basta. Huhuhu maybe because it brought back to life my hopeless romantic heart that I thought was long dead!! Oh no !!! You’re not feeling good !!He’s going to get super worked up over this !!!

He read a bunch of articles on thenet about migraines and got super worried you might have brain cancer or another highly implausible illness. You had to cheer him up because he wasbawling his eyes out. (He’s banned from looking any symptoms up the net now.)

He likes to have calm, relaxingevenings with you after class ! He’ll get tea ready and silently read his notesfrom the day, cuddled up with you. He tries to send a lot of telepathic “getbetter” signals too !

He often gently massages yourtemples, shoulders and neck. He heard unwinding pressure in those areas canhelp with headaches ! Well, you’re not sure it really works, but at least itdoes feel nice, especially after a long day of classes…

You constantly have to reassure himand tell him you’re doing fine now, because he’s definitely not above getting empathy migraines too…

Mao :

He’s ready. He’s been ready sinceday one. Finally, the medicine he’s been carrying just in case you feel sickproves useful !

He has so much knowledge aboutmedicine and carries a lot wherever he goes, so rest assured : you’ll be fineas long as he’s with you !

Trust him, he gets you. Sometimes,on evenings, you end up slumped over the couch together, lifeless and headaching from the day.

There’s nothing he likes more thannursing you when it gets especially bad. You don’t remember asking him to bringyou dinner in bed, but he’ll do it anyway. He won’t stop at anything if it’s to makeyou feel better !

Expect him to wake up earlier thanyou on mornings, just to slip medicine in your bag. It even comes with a cute post-it note, onwhich he doodled hearts and wrote words of encouragement for the day !

Natsume :

It’s not like he can tease you aboutthis, but he’ll try anyway. He likes commenting that your head hurts onlybecause of how hard you focused while patting your head. Maybe he’s just tryingto comfort you, though… You’re not quite sure.

He’ll help in his own way ! Sincehis classes end earlier, he likes to get dinner ready for when you come home,or order your favorite food. He loves this kind of little attentions that canhelp you cheer up after a long day.

While he’s more than okay withspoon-feeding you medicine, he likes suggesting other types of “home-made remedies”. “You know, little kitten, I’ve heard of another very effectiveway to cure headaches… Maybe you want to try it out ? I can help, you know.”He won’t stop smirking after that.

He won’t let you stay up late atnight. You need to rest ! You already go through a lot and you don’t need to betired the next day. He always has a new scheme up his sleeve to trick you intogoing to bed early. Besides, it helps him sleep at decent hours too, so it’s awin-win situation !

Recently, he’s started to take advantageof your migraines to coax you into doing stuff with him. You should totally go have a bathwith him, because “it should help with headaches”. Well, how could yourefuse him anyway ? Maybe giving him excuses isn’t that bad, from time to time…

Leo :

He’ll be super compassionate whenyou tell him, then forget about it an hour later. Every time you have to remindhim he gasps loudly and apologizes furiously… and then he forgets again.

He loves making up new remedies ofhis own ! And they’re “super-duper extra great !”, too. Like kissing yourforehead five times, or massaging behind your ears, or holding you as tight ashe can for ten minutes… He seems convinced they really do help, although yoususpect he may be doing all that to amuse you.

While he’s usually pretty noisy, hetries to quiet down a bit on evenings, especially on school days. It’s subtle,but he’ll use his headphones when composing a new song on his keyboard, forexample. Well, it’s not like you can stop him from shouting whenever he needsto “evacuate all the stress”, as he says.

He’s the absolute best as suggestingsolutions that are anything but helpful. “So, your migraines come up when you’reat school, right ? Well, why don’t you just stop going ? You can just stay at home and help meout today, wahaha !”

He hates seeing you pushing yourselftoo hard ! He’ll come hugging you in the middle of a super importantassignment, claiming you need a break because “you’re going to die if you worktoo hard !! Trust me !”. It’s not the best for your concentration, but he reallydoes mean well, so you just can’t be angry at him !

Kanata :

He’s very compassionate and likes tocheck how you’re feeling, once in a while. He’s especially worried you might notfeel good and never tell it to avoid bothering others…

His very presence is healing, and ithelps you relax ! Just cuddling quietly on the sofa an evening while watching adocumentary about sea creatures is enough to make you unwind and alleviate a bitof the pression.

He likes to sneak behind you andmassage your temples as you’re doing something else. He’ll also whisper magicwords for the migraines to go away. It’s not like it really works, but if he can get you to smile by doingthis, his mission’s fulfilled !

He’s super careful about you andwill make sure you’re not too anxious because of classes. He’s worried yourbuild-up stress may have a part in this, so he likes to do fun and relaxingthings with you on days off. He wants you to unwind !

He likes herbal and natural remediesas opposed to medicine, and you can expect him to have a cup of your “specialtea” ready for when you come home ! Sipping on it and watching his peacefulsmile at least helps with your tension, and makes for a pretty good evening ritual…

Tetora :

Finally, he gets an opportunity toshow you how cool and manly and reliable and helpful he can be !!! Just leaveit to him, he’s gonna find a miraculous solution in a heartbeat !

Well, he can’t say his plans aregoing well though. His extensive google search didn’t bring up anything useful,the full-course dinner he tried to cook for you turned out inedible, heaccidentally flooded the bathroom by trying to run a bath for you… You’ll haveto settle for headache medicine and the pizza he ordered as a last resort.

He can’t stop moping because hethinks he’s totally powerless against your migraines ! He still puts up abrave, smiling front because he wants you to feel good and relaxed. You alreadyhave enough on your plate and don’t need his whining, especially after a longand painful day…

He knows quite a lot of breathingexercises and likes to practice them with you ! He heard from Kuro that theyhelp with good blood circulation, and that they may even relieve headachessometimes. He also suggested trying meditation, and he can vouch it does havehealing and calming properties !

He showed up at your universityonce, just to bring you medicine. You did swear to him you were going to bealright and that you were used to the pain, but he wouldn’t have any of it !And, well… he hoped you would rely on him a little bit more, after that.

Keito :

If anything, he’s compassionate. Hedefinitely gets you and has occasionally been struggling with migraines too.

He suggested you go get your eyestested, as he’s worried you may need glasses. He’s also been researching extensively tounderstand just why you get those, and if there’s anything he can do to help.

He’s always well-prepared. He alwaysmakes sure you have medicine on hand, gets everything done for you so that youcan relax on evenings and days off, and he likes to call you during lunch breakto ask how you’re doing. He won’t admit it, but he really is worried about you…

He gets weirdly nursing when you’rein pain, and will literally stay at your bedside and make sure you haveeverything you need. You even have to stop him from spoon-feeding you ! Eventhough you assure him you’re not doing that bad,he doesn’t listen to you. He’s determined you need some rest, and he wants tobe the one to care for you in the meantime.

He likes to gently hug you when itgets really bad, holding your hand tight until the pain subsides. He won’t letgo of it, though : he likes it and feels connected to you, that way… Besides,it’s a way for him to show you he cares and that he’s here, by your side !

Kemarin karna lagi tidak ada kerjaan dan males nganggur (ceilah), saya beres2in tools di kantor yang biasa dipake untuk simulasi MUN (bagi yang gak tau apa itu MUN atau Model United Nations, silahkan cek disini http://bestdelegate.com/what-is-model-united-nations/ ), itu kayak bendera-bendera seluruh negara, placard, taplak meja hingga kertas-kertas yang kayaknya gak penting tapi yaudahlah saya tata ulang lagi aja. Lagi ngeberesin, tiba-tiba tuan saya (Agen 1) dateng:

“Lho, mer, lagi ngapain?”

Salah satu dosen senior  (Agen 2) nyahut: “Yaa..bapak sih gak kasih dia kerjaan, jadinya dia sendiri deh yang nyari kerjaan.”

Dosen lainnya (Agen 3) nimbrung: “Ini contoh yang baik pak. Gak kayak bapak (nunjuk Agen 2) tuh..”

Agen 2: “Lha, kan saya lagi ngerjain disertasi. Ntar kalo gak kelar bakalan dikejar balik sama Agen 1”

Here, guys! Saya lagi dipersimpangan jalan: antara mau betah berkarir lama-lama atau langsung lanjut studi (either itu di dalam negeri atau ke luar negeri). Tapi saya sendiri bingung, sebenarnya haruskah ngelanjutin sekolah dengan mengambil konsentrasi yang lebih fokus lagi? Saya sadar sih sejauh ini lensa saya dalam bidang Hubungan Internasional (HI) itu masih burem banget. However, I had been interested to study more about International and Homeland Security studies dan sempat kepikiran apa saya masuk Criminology HI aja kali ya? Ngurus2in terrorist and kind of illegal trafficking gitu yang tampaknya serem banget bagi seorang perempuan macam saya.

Tapi…my heart’s left in doubt, kayak lagunya Celine Dion-That’s the Way it is. Saya ragu, apakah saya yakin akan  melanjutkan studi yang lebih dalam ilmunya? Apakah saya yakin ingin menghabiskan satu atau dua tahun di tempat lain untuk belajar lagi ditengah kerumitan papa dan mama saya yang juga sedang berusaha menyekolahkan kedua adik saya lengkap dengan track record beban-beban yang lain? Tesis apakah yang akan saya bahas nanti? (dan ini lagi saya pikirkan sekarang lho, takut kedepannya gak tau mau meneliti apa) Apakah ke depannya ilmu yang saya dapatkan itu bisa berguna bagi bangsa negara, teman-teman kantor dan gereja, serta keluarga saya? Dan yang lebih penting motivasi apakah yang harus saya pegang teguh untuk bisa mencapai ambisi saya untuk melanjutkan studi tersebut?

Ini bagaikan lagi tidur trus tiba-tiba kebangun kita pe badang so (baca: tubuh saya sudah) di tengah-tengah laut.Gilee cepet aja yaa saya udah berumur 23 tahun! Udah record apa aja nih? Teman-teman yg lain mungkin masih beruntung, walopun pendidikan biasa aja tapi pengalamannya buanyaak banget dibandingkan dengan saya! Lha, iki piye?

Mencapai pendidikan setinggi-tingginya itu adalah hal yang tidak salah dan semakin banyak jam terbang kita di dunia pendidikan yang merupakan bagian dari mahkota kesuksesan, maka semakin besar kesempatan untuk membangun generasi selanjutnya. Well, dalam hal ini sih calon anak-anak saya kelak hihihi. Dunia zaman sekarang, gak usah jauh-jauh deh, setiap kali ketemu fresh-graduate atau hanya sekedar ngobrol ringan dengan teman kalau ditanya ‘abis lulus ngapain?’ pasti mayoritas (termasuk saya sendiri) pasti jawabnya mau lanjut S2, S3, S4, S5, S6 hingga mungkin S7. Tapi realistis ajalah, gak mudah mendapatkan S3, S4, S5, S6 apalagi S7, hanya SAMSUNG yang bisa! #lho

Oke, kalau ditanya kenapa semudah itu menjawab mau lanjut kuliah, ya jawabannya S1 skarang udah banyak jadi lapangan kerja makin meningkatkan standar untuk menerima calon pegawainya. Ya, itu jawaban ngambang saya juga standar seperti itu, tetapi kalau lebih jauh dan lebih serius ditanya kenapa mau lanjut studi saya mungkin butuh waktu berbulan-bulan (bahkan sampai sekarang sejak lulus 2016 lalu) untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut yang tampaknya mudah tapi ternyata sulit untuk dipenuhi..Nah itu makanya saya orangnya sangat susah untuk diajak lebih serius dan lebih jauh #salahfokus -_-

Terus terang saja, banyak hal yang membuat saya stuck ketika memikirkan untuk melakukan studi lanjutan dan rasanya tuhhh udah mager banget alias malas gerak (udah sy sebutin diatas ya). But Yes, I know, I must learn more about my fields and passion or knowly well as a Temporary Suffering (doing research, sitting in class, grouping with peers,etc). Tapi setelah saya pikirkan, konsultasikan, renungkan, puasakan (puasa membatasi diri gak hanya makan dan minum ya, but for all our flash desires dan itu gunanya untuk lebih melihat kehendak Tuhan yang mana), kayaknya saya harus berjuang kembali deh untuk berjuang memenuhi kebutuhan dasar saya sebagai manusia untuk kembali belajar dan merendahkan hati untuk masuk kelas, kerjaain tugas-tugas dari dosen2, membentuk grup kelompok dimana akan ada orang-orang tertentu yang akan jadi superior atau bahkan menjadi benalu (bagi mereka mungkin saya lah benalu atau si superior itu) dan menyediakan waktu lebih untuk spending time to read a lot of books yang tiap lembarnya tuh datar-datar aja, tanpa gambar dan tanpa warna (mostly buku2 bernilai dalam tuh kayak gitu, moody banget bacanya!)

Dan ketika saya mikirin kembali sebenarnya apa sih motivasi dibalik itu semua , saya cuma terpikirkan untuk mengenal lebih dalam hasil-hasil karya Tuhan yang sudah ada sejak kekekalan sampai kekekalan. (woaa mulai berat) ~ okay I know these words are kind of abstract ideas ya hahaha

Trus gimana saya mengetahui apa yang kekal dan tidak kekal?

Ya! Saya harus belajar, bukan karena sekedar untuk memenuhi dan mengobati rasa ingin tahu saya sebagai manusia. Inget lho, Tuhan itu luas banget lho, sangking luasnya Dia, saya dan kalian sampai bisa ada di dalam Dia. Dan cara mengetahui apa yang Dia inginkan itu ya kalau gak berenang, ya dengan tenggelam.

Trus gimana caranya, either itu tenggelam atau berenang?

Saya mikir mungkin saya harus berenang. Yaa semuanya sama sih sama-sama mengarungi suatu tempat yang luas. Bedanya kalau tenggelam ya kita dikendalikan oleh air, sementara kalau kita berenang ya itu dari usaha kita dengan menggerakkan seluruh jiwa dan raga untuk mencapai suatu tujuan. Artinya, saya harus belajar dengan dasar butuh, kalau saya belajar hanya untuk ingin tahu, well said “Oh, well, I got those things, bye!” instead of wondering what’s God purpose created all things in this world, I’ll trapped in chasing the world desires, not God desires.

Saya harus punya motivasi yang kuat dan itu adalah karena saya butuh untuk belajar lebih dalam dan lebih lebar (lebar disini saya gak maksud untuk membuat pandangan bahwa saya seorang penganut liberal yang bisa menerima semua hal hehehe…masih ada batasan). Saya butuh, bukan karena hanya ingin tahu saja. Saya butuh makan, agar saya tidak sakit, kalo saya sakit maka saya tidak bisa menjalankan pelayanan saya terhadap sesama apalagi terhadap Tuhan.  Well, butuh di sini yang saya maksud adalah punya keinginan untuk menjadikan itu sebagai bagian dari dasar-dasar kehidupan sepanjang kita jalanin tugas di dunia, karena Tuhan pun mengharuskan kita untuk hidup yang semuanya balance (spiritual, social, physical, emotional, and knowledge) seperti yang bisa kita interpretasikan dari Doa Bapa Kami untuk yang sering memperdebatkan kebutuhan untuk makanan haha. Anyway, do not get  the wrong interpretation in Matthew 4:4 ya!

Ketika kebutuhan belajar saya lebih terfokus dalam bidang yang akan saya ambil, saya akan tahu kasus-kasus dan kebijakan-kebijakan yang well experienced dan  itu akan membuat saya berpikir: ini kejadian apa sih? Kalau mau diterapkan kebijakanya harus gimana? Siapa aja sih yang boleh menjalankan hal tersebut? Kenapa sih cara A itu boleh dan B gak boleh? Apa sih yang membedakan teori A dan teori B? Dimana sih tempat yang boleh dan gak boleh terapin yang kayak2 gini? Hingga semuanya dihubungkan dengan Firman Tuhan!

Dari situ, mungkin saya akan sadar dan berharap bisa menemukan kebenaran karena ilmu-ilmu juga luas banget ternyata, terutama di dunia politik yang orang sering anggap panggung paling kotor seakan-akan luas dan tidak mampannyaa hukum moral maupun tertulis di dunia politik. Menemukan kebenaran yang kebenarannya itu adalah sesuai dengan kehendak Tuhan, sebagaimana yang ada di Alkitab. Kebenaran yang sebenarnya mudah sekaligus sulit untuk kita lakukan karena seluruh petunjuknya sudah ada di Alkitab, ngalahin semua tutorial-tutorial yang ada di Youtube. (but anyway thanks to Youtube yah, I learn more from Youtube ratherthan from school especially to see those real explanation about World, Human and God)

Ketika kita sudah mencoba untuk berenang dan menemukan kebenaran yang dari Tuhan, kemanapun kita pergi, kita akan terus memberikan dampak yang positif sadar atau tidak sadar…ya walopun tidak semua tempat yang kita singgahi bakal diterima dengan baik oleh orang lain karena perbedaan pendapat serta budaya. Tapi setidaknya ada tempat dimana kita punya visi dan misi yang Godly Center untuk menyalurkan apa yang sudah kita dapatkan dari hasil belajar kita di S1, S2, S3, dan seterusnya (kalau ada yg lebih tinggi lagi) sambil juga mengoreksi diri sendiri atas apa yang sudah kita miliki. Semakin benar motivasi kita, yaitu ingin mendekatkan diri kepada Tuhan dan bukan untuk kemuliaan diri sendiri, maka makin berguna ilmu itu dan bisa dipakai dimana saja, di tempat-tempat besar maupun yang pelosok. Tapi ingat, kalau mau tahu seberapa salah atau benar segala hal, ya takaranya kita harus tahu konteks Firman Tuhan juga.

Jadi, bagi saya pribadi untuk melanjutkan sekolah yang sedalam-dalamnya merupakan salah satu (bukan satu-satunya) wujud nyata dari berenang dalam kehidupan agar suatu saat saya bisa lebih memahami tentang kehendak-kehendak Tuhan atas hidup saya di dunia ini. Dengan berenang, saya yakin iman saya pada Tuhan dan usaha saya bisa menjadi jalan untuk menemukan muara kebenaran Tuhan yang telah dirindukan oleh “aku dan nafasku”. Jika saya memilih untuk tenggelam, artinya saya akan dikendalikan oleh dunia terlebih dahulu dan mungkin diujung cerita berakhir dengan maut. Milih lanjutin kuliah ternyata tidak sesulit itu jika kita sudah tahu kita mau kemana. Jangan kayak Dora yang tidak tau arah dan tujuannya dan selalu bertanya ke orang lain “mau kemana kita?” he he he
