I love Serling and I love torturing him.

Got a little too ill about Serling and Cody and the episode Turtle X-Tinction in which Cody almost dies, Starlee almost dies, and Serling does in fact freakin die. I kept thinking about what Fast Forward tells us about robots in society, and about how much Serling cares for this poor kid, how much he does to keep Cody safe, including sacrificing his own life. I kept thinking about how this episode happens on Cody’s birthday.

So I wrote almost three thousand words about it last night!

Warnings: angst due to temporary character death (but he gets better dw!), Cody experiencing some terrible terrible emotions, the author rambling about the world-building of Fast Forward.

Summary: For a horrible, infinitely long moment, Serling is dead.

Okay, so in all seriousness, the always amazing duo of @alicat54cwriting and @amevello-blue hit it outta the park again!

This one is a combo of Empathy is Learned (a Rise Au where Draxum has the turtles for a few years and just. sucks so much. And then has some consequences! Now there's toddler mutant not-yet-ninja turtles living in the storm drain) and a variant of the Skittles storyline (where the events of TMNT 03 's Fast Forward arc happen, but the turtles have adopted the baby versions of their alien-hybrid-clones. Which. Is a sentence.) called, aptly enough,

Taste the Rainbow.

Featuring some interesting aspects of the lore they sprinkle into most of their stories, one of the scrungliest versions of Bardi to date, guest appearances by Mona Lisa, a never-ending amount of slime adjacent things to draw, and not a single version of Bishop!

i wish the turtles had gotten a chance to return to the jones farm in fast forward. since april and casey became world renowned founders of a huge tech company in their lifetime as well as the turtles eventually being known public figures too, i wonder if the farm became a world heritage site or something, a preserved building where they have little signs like 'here is where the turtles recovered from their injuries after the successful capture of the warlord ch'rell' or 'here is where a chest was buried from a train robbery a jones family member partook in during the 1930s'.

or maybe, since cody would otherwise inherit it, the farm was turned into some sort of luxury lodge fully fitted with futuristic amenities, except the turtles would rather be camping out by the river instead. cody is excited to go someplace he doesn't have to wear his enviropack and gravity regulators, and the boy gets to touch grass for once. serling gets to experience rural living for the first time and after getting over the disgust of dirt, insects and animal dung realises in his next life he wants to be a rancher bot because the quiet, hardworking country life is in fact the life for him

maybe the nearby power plant has undergone improvements in how its run and now the area surrounding the jones farm is a hotspot for clean and renewable energy, perhaps a hydro dam has been built on the site instead. or maybe the surviving creatures from sons of the silent age have reclaimed the river and it is now a protected conservation spot

equally funny would be if darius embellishes it to cody as a cared for world heritage site but the turtles Smell A Rat (not splinter). turns out the farm has secretly been bought out by darius who has turned it into a tourist trap airbnb that he charges extortionate prices for. the turtles and cody find out, make a booking under false names and when they show up they find out the place is barely up to code and donatello threatens to take him to small claims court if he doesn't use the earnings he's made to properly restore the farm without sacrificing its historical features

I love how in the normal show Donnie and Leo are usually the most calm and level headed but in fast forward they’re causing chaos along side Raph and Mikey

We finished the Turtles Fast Forward season!

I was thinking--Fast Forward, Mutant Mayhem, Coming Out of Their Shells--I suppose a future where the Turts can just go around amongst people is sort of the Good Ending to their arc. But, who knows if they make it to the Fast Forward future; like how long it took for that to happen...

I got a bit bored, and wondered how many different Metalheads there are, then was wondering which is the Favourite TMNT Bot, but that list is long, and I don't think I can make the poll have that many Choices.

In short a poll of mostly Metalhead variants was funny at the moment.
