“Yeah, but I thought we agreed on not doing that this time”, Leo said, ready on his toes in case you decided to throw. “Thought we agreed on a round for fun”.

“We didn’t agree on anything”, you smiled, the light blue energy from your fingertips forming into a ball of glowing energy in the palm of your hand. “Catch!”

You launched another ball of blue energy, your hair and cape flapping behind you from the momentum. And once more Leo proved himself fast, quickly dodging and rolling, his katanas up and ready.

“Babe!”

“Ups”, you smiled innocently. “Might have added more to that one than I needed”.

“You think?”, Leo asked, shooting a quick glance at the now charred surface, where your blast had ended up. “It’s as if you want me to go rough on you”.

“Rough? On me? Neeveer”, you smiled, dragging out your words, causing Leo to give you a deadpanned look. “What?”

“I can never just have a relaxing sparring with you, can I?”

“Depends on what you think of when you say ‘relaxing’”, you smiled, letting your fingertips glow up once more. “If you don’t like the way I play, then you’ll have to come over here and stop me”.

“You don’t have to tell me that twice”, Leo said, a smirk forming on his lips, before he quickly jumped into action.

Leo had always been fast moving, always just out running your blasts. They were nothing new to him at this point. He had seen your powers in action many times, against all sorts of different opponents. He would never forget the time you were able to keep up against Superman, giving him the full run for his money. And now here Leo were, jumping, ducking and dodging your shots in order to get close to you. You swore you were ready. You always believed yourself to be ready whenever Leo got close. This time you would get the upper hand. This time you would win over your boyfriend in a spare. This would be the time.

As Leo got closer, you got yourself ready for some close up fighting. Today I crowdsourced a solution to that most heinous of problems in the holiday season: the dreaded Missing Package. I had bought a birthday gift for my wife some time in advance, shipped here from China and delivered by third-party contractor. Vexingly, the point-of-delivery photos taken by the driver showed he had dropped it off at the wrong house, whose address I couldn't ascertain. But one post to the town residents' social media page and two hours of waiting yielded an answer from friendly locals as to where the pictured house was... along with the juicy information that the house was not occupied, and as of this morning (fully a week after delivery), the package was still sitting on the porch! I went to the house after work this afternoon -- lo and behold, there was my box, with my name and my address on it, sitting on the porch of an unoccupied home on an entirely different road 4 miles away! At this point I'm glad the story has a happy ending, but what could that driver have been thinking?!

My latest video game obsession is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. I've played many a Turtles game, run the gamut -- the unforgiving NES classic, the sidescrolling arcade beat-'em-ups, the TMNT's cameo in Injustice 2, even mobile games -- but this one really scratches an itch because it's a rogue-like RPG that mixes and matches a whole wealth of skills, elemental powers, stat increases, and equipment. It's also brutally difficult in single-player, and since getting it for Christmas, I've only made it to Shredder once... with Leonardo, who's not even my favorite Turtle. It makes me think of Slay the Spire, in that I'm not playing it because I'm looking for a fantastic story... I just wanna see how powerful my guy can get.

Do the TMNT DLC costumes for Street Fighter 6 count as a connection? IE, any Mortal Kombat character can now connect to Ryu through Raiden in Injustice 2 > Leonardo in Injustice 2 > Leonardo in SF6. Or, since they’re just costumes, do they not count?

The TMNT crossover is actually a bit interesting from a cosmetic standpoint. While they are models that get thrown over your avatar with no special voice lines or expressions, they're referred to as "bodies" and, notably, are fixed in shape regardless of the avatar's body underneath.

While this detail means it's not directly comparable to, say, the Blanka-chan Costume, since I assume your avatar sounds the same if you wear the TMNT body (I've little interest in confirming this myself since that would involve, you know, getting it), I'm not inclined to count this as a connection.

It's ultimately of little consequence anyway, since they've all had a 1 for a while now.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs Street Fighter Comic Announced

The cast of Street Fighter has seen cameos in so many other video games and media over the years, with major collaborations happening with the likes of Fornite, SNK through the King of Fighters Allstar mobile game, and even a trek into Monster Hunter. In similar fashion, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have also made numerous appearances in outside media themselves, teaming up with the Ghostbusters, Batman, and most importantly to us, making a playable appearance in NetherRealm Studios' Injustice 2 back in 2018. At this point, I'm unsure which of these franchises has seen more crossovers, but the fates are bringing Street Fighter and the TMNT together (surprisingly not for the first time) for a brand new, upcoming comic book series. Comic book publisher IDW has announced a fresh miniseries entitled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Street Fighter in which iconic characters like Chun-Li, Ryu, Guile, Leonardo, Raphael, and more will be gearing up to lock horns. Gizmodo was given a first look at the upcoming series, which will be penned by Paul Allor, have art by Ariel Medel, and colors by Sarah Myer. The first issue in the five-issues miniseries is expected to drop this May, and in this initial preview we get to see the cover art for issue #1, as well as a handful of inked pages. The story will follow Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Jennika from IDW's main TMNT comic book series as they head to a martial arts tournament in Atlantic City. Upon arriving at the competition, the turtles will come face-to-face with some of the iconic world warriors, with Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, and Ken being shown so far.

Mikey loves using his artistic side to impress you - whether it’s graffiti of your name in neon colors on a brick wall somewhere in New York, where he was sure you would come by it, or a homemade pizza with your initials spelled out in toppings. “Romantic, right? And of course, all of these sweet gestures and date ideas would culminate with the two of you jumping on each other, not giving one flying fuck wheather if it was on the roof or in a pillowfort in the middle of the lair.

These are my four turtles at the moment in Injustice 2. I’ve mainly been using Donatello as he’s my favourite & lots of fun to combo with. The others are kind of difficult to use but all have awesome looking combos.

Just gonna say this now. The TMNT are outstanding in Injustice 2. Each of the four turtles' moves are varied enough to the point that they still feel like separate characters while at the same time they're not. All four of the turtles also have different conversations with each character. Personally, my favorites so far are between Leonardo VS Sub-Zero and Raphael VS Batman.

However, I will say that if you're hoping to play as all four turtles simultaneously, you're better off selecting Leonardo, as his special ability is calling his brothers in to help. Donatello uses some of his gadgets, Raphael can perform a rage taunt to build up a nice combo, and Michelangelo uses his skateboard. They all will show up for any of the turtles' special move though, which I may add is spectacular.

Might even consider posting a video or two here.

One more thing. The game isn't very clear on how to select a specific turtle to play as. Just go to the "Customize Characters" area on the main menu, navigate to the turtles, and select their weapon to change which turtle you are playing as in the specific loadout you are editing. Then make sure to select that loadout when choosing the TMNT.
