TMNT Reunion Event: Campfire Stories

The air felt cold where Mikey stood. Aware from the fire as the orange flames flickered, sparks drifting upwards, embers glowed and laughter consumed the air as all the other cabins gathered around. Roasting marshmallows, making s’mores.

The fire crackled and popped, logs broke and the fire began to settle after one of the Raph’s had rearranged them.

A peaceful scene but not even the warm laughs or fire could defeat the cold that surrounded Mikey.

Mikey thought to himself

“I’ve seen them before

I didn’t realise it at the time but

I’ve seen them

Even before this all started

I knew my powers were getting stronger but I didn’t want to think about it

I thought they were just dreams

Donnie says my imagination has always been overactive

So I thought it was nothing

But I was wrong

So many people

So many versions of us

All so different

But also the same

Some remind me of when we were kids

When it felt like nothing could touch us and the world was still such an unknown. When we would get upset when separated and our imaginations could keep us occupied for ages.

Some remind me of just before everything changed

When we still challenged everything and being hero’s was so exciting. When Leo still acted like a big shot and Donnie still talked to us about his latest project with amazement and excitement. When Raph still kept his cool and when no matter what we were doing we would just hang out together.

Some have grown up completely different to us But there getting better and there trying to be there for each other

…

All so different

But almost all with their own problems

Lots of problems

I guess he was right

We are creatures destined for tragedy

…

But maybe….

Just maybe… we’ll be okay and be like we were again

Everyone here has overcome challenges and faced adversity.

Yeah

We’ll be okay

We’ll all be okay”

You woke up in your cabin to a folded nite taped to your face and a few missing items from your person. The outside of the note says: Hi! We've hidden your stuff around the campsite! You'll have to follow the clues to get them all back!

Mikey was growling while rubbing the waterproof ninja ink from his face. He looked over with a frown and found TD! Donnie looking over with nervous excitement. “Oh hey! Nice threads…Well if you don’t count the knuckle heads who did this,” he points to his marred face. “Nothing out of the ordinary…” He sighs and stands up, choosing to wear the ink with pride. TD! Donnie shakes their head. “They got you with the glasses? Typical, gullible Michelangelo.” “Eh, a necessary flaw sometimes.” Mikey shrugs. “Makes me approachable.” ”Hmm…” TD! Donnie nods with a smirk. “Well….because of the unique biome we are living in here, it’s not improbable to procure a sediment mineral that can be used for abrasive treatment.” Mikey slow blinks “Donnie I only got a little of that.” “We can find pumice or something to exfoliate that ink off your scales.” TD! Donnie explains. “Might leave some inflammation later unless we want to chance it with something more acidic like vinegar or sanitizer, I’m not sharing mine.” They declare. Mikey hums and clicks his tongue. “I guess we are looking for pumice…or something.” “Onward!” TD! Donnie declares.

As many of we all know, we have reached the end of the sports day event!

As for the points, we once again have some smaller winners to acknowledge first!

Our Thoroughly Thorough award goes to Cabin 10's @itzzaira!! Everyone who sent asks was very thorough, don't get me wrong, but I think I saw Zaira's hydration ask circulate the most frequently! Hydrate or diedrate indeed!
