i was replaying the museum portion of tlou2 and got so fuckin sad thinking about how this is probably one of both of their favorite days.

Joel cherished this day so much that he saved the damn dinosaur brochure that he picked up for Ellie. He probably looked through that brochure, flipping through the pages, remembering how she'd laughed and gotten all giddy running around the museum. He'd remember how he watched her like she was the only thing on earth- like she was the sun and he was seeing daylight for the first time.

How he became a father again, after so so long, giving his little girl the birthday celebration she deserves.

I just imagine they both look back on this day when it gets hard and remember how good things used to be. (and then i ugly cry and make a lil compilation)

Anyway, after years of avoiding spoilers, I finished #TLOU a few days ago and the sense of emptiness I felt watching the series returned.

I watched episode after episode and at the same time I was following along with the game to see the differences and the dynamics, and although obviously the differences were there, it is the most faithful adaptation I have ever seen and I am no longer looking forward to the second season (and the second part, which the director informs me will be even more painful)

It has been a real rollercoaster of emotions, an adventure that has kept me on the edge of my seat and that I have experienced in the company of @redeemedrobin (who has been there for me during my shocks!) and I think I am not ready for the sea of feels that will overwhelm me with its waves.

In any case: ENDURE AND SURVIVE!
