i think they’d have little categories they’d all play in like ‘who can build the fastest?’ <- (consistently benny) or ‘who can build the most creative design?’ ‘who has the strongest build?’

n maybe in tlm2 or tlm if they weren’t invaded literally seconds after, Emmet joins in and probably switches between judging and building every now and again

i think so hard about how emmet is autistic and sorry to everyone who doesnt wanna hear it but i as an autistic am about to talk about why i really like that a lot. something i find about him wanting to preform social interactions correctly and struggling to make friends who are deemed "normal" and think his mask is weird even though hes trying to be normal and following the rules everyone else does already cues off to me as being autistic. but the way he sticks to routine and what's familiar and how he finds not following what he knows freaks him out even in the second movie. the way he constantly was initially telling lucy how everything she was doing was against the rules. even doing things like still continuing to get his morning coffee in apocalypseburg, how hell listen to the same song on repeat and watch the same tv show no matter how many times it stays the same, even his ideas seemingly based only around a few select interests while the others seem to be able to adapt any build into their style. on top of that. the house he designs being based off something hes familiar with already, the yellow house with blue roof that he ran into with lucy. i feel in his mind, he sees that as a dream house for him and lucy because he remembers that from when they first met, he remembers thats when she called him the special.

bruh, osc twitter is so fnckin toxic like, they just gave me extreme trust issues that i just start to not follow or even interact with anyone outside of my friend circle immediately even if they art is cool and chet cuz whenever i interact with anyone (like follow, reply or somthin) they will go and block me bcuz someone tells them that i did something bad without even knowing what it is, yet they believe them like they know me better

and the only thing i did was ship knife and mic, ive known that the siblings hc is everywhere and i asked allot of times why its so popular, yet no one is telling me so i did my own search about it but noooo they be harassing and spamming me in quote retweets and calling me out and chet for an info that a newcomer wouldnt know instead of just dm-ing me,, they fr had to tell the public about it

like bro, i just joined not even a year in, just a month in, yet they harassing me like ive been here since day one

and might i let you know that the “proof” they be spamming me is almost a decade old, like, they didnt even ask the person if theyre still okay with it or not, a friend of mine has to ask them about it and guess what, he doesnt even mind it anymore

I actually shipped them right away when I saw the movie for the first time in July 2019. From the moment they met one another in the movie, when Emmet saw Rex and went WOAH, my first thought was "Oh, Emmet's gay awakening." The 'same person' plot twist actually genuinely took me by surprise. 🤣 I tried to make myself stop shipping them after that by making non-ship content... And I failed miserably. (I'm glad I did though now X3c)

I've always really loved selfcest/selfpair ships, there's always so much potential for so much warmth and softness and growth! I was worried about what the fandom would think of me if they knew I shipped them, but over time I've started to care less and less. Well when I first joined the fandom I actually hated Remmet, but after realizing what their dynamic was actually like, I started shipping them. I've been shipping them for about two and half years, and I still only really ship it within the context of Rexmetstyle (I just can't see them NOT being with Lucy too, they love her too much). I just love the trust and the healing of it all. Rex and Emmet both clearly need to learn to love themselves, so why not in the most literal sense? They call each other dude and they mean it romantically. They have the worst pet names for each other (see: waffle iron). They go on adventures together. They'd be so fun as co-dads. I just....I love them

Any Unikitty headcanons?

Oh, I have some!

Unikitty tends to enjoy any normal cat activities.

She could represent Finn's more creative and chaotic childhood (I like to think that he got her when he was like... four?)

She has repressed memories of the past.

The Unikitty! Show happened before TLM 1.

She's scared of pickles or cucumbers. Why? I don't know.

Even if she's still as energetic as she was, she's matured a lot more ever since the apocalypse era started. She had to toughen up and the UltraKitty mode let her emotions out in a healthy way, as she repressed those bad feelings for God knows how long! She probably wants to make everyone happy and calm in the new kingdom Watevra gave her! Though there's still that wild energy from her :]

Just like the other hcs I have with Rex and Benny, I did mention that Unikitty does have repressed memories! Yes, but in her case, instead of just having blurry memories of who she once was (my Rex hc) or simply completely forgetting who she once was (... Benny hc), Unikitty just has... glimpses of the past that she doesn't understand.

MetalBeard and her are like... probably the oldests in the group... maybe? I'd like to think Unikitty took the throne in Cuckooland for a long time ajd years have passed by. She's younger than MetalBeard, yes, but still old.

Ooughhhh i have soo manyyy.... for example this one's technically not a hc but does anyone else ride or die for fat/chubby emmet??? i mean i already always hc'd as being a bit overweight but adding on the fact that rex says hes "chiseled features were hidden under "baby fat"" just totally solidifies chubby emmet for me. additionally, people who are afraid to draw wyldstyle/lucy as buff make me sooo irritated especially in her apocalypse form like omfg theyre parodying mad max rn and you dont think shed be built like a brick house (no pun intended) rn? but okay sure. i guess you could make the argument of "well she needs to be sneaky and well hidden" as if her ex boyfriend isnt literally batman who is ripped and does that shit but i digress. i've discussed this in my benny/metalbeard post but metalbeard being a tech freak is mad underrated of a headcanon to me, i think him geeking out over new tech just makes so much sense to me bc i firmly believe metalbeard wants to have the most swashbuckling, most advanced pirate ship of the sea. especially considering when queen whatevra offered an entire planet sized ship for him and he added on things like a keyboard to his build and he just seems like hes always open to new technology and ideas. - has freckles and a chipped tooth (based off of VA)

- bestest friends are unikitty (infodump sessions galore, movie nights together) and metalbeard (passion for exploration and tech, bond over being anachronisms), is also good friends with mayhem (space buddies!)

- the gender euphoria of swapping helmets with your space buddy and using the modulator to deepen your voice

- more of an Efficient chef than a skilled one, comfort food is PBnJ burritos and dip'n'dots

- also eats stickers (explanation for the scratched logo on his suit perhaps ?)

- based off of the above image, we can see that his helmet was already broken to begin with, so it was either a hand-me-down or benny has always been accident-prone

- we can also see that he's wearing a festive sweater, so i'd like to think his specialized interest in spaceships originated with this christmas gift
