What can I say, I saw an interesting plot point that was completely and utterly abandoned and unacknowledged and then proceeded to hammer it into as many aus of mine as is possible :3

I think we need more more AU that look into just how different blood copy (made by ruin) & blood moon (made by eclipse) are.

Like, the blood moon that ruin made was in the same boat as eclipse when they were alive, so it would be really interesting if anyone explored it more, whether it be from code mess ups, or just different dynamics, heck, even an alternate universe where someone just straight up tells blood copy that they’re not the original blood moon. I feel like that would be interesting.

They’re definitely routes that could be taken with this in mind, from possibly trying to distance themselves from the blood moon name (trying to push that they are not anyone’s tools), trying to prove that they are somehow the original/better than the original, an existential identity crisis.

Moe universes where ruin messes up their code in a way that creates someone that is supposed to be a blood moon, but is very different from said image also pretty interesting.

Hell even AUs where they have a completely different dynamic in October are interesting!

I really just feel like this singular concept of the animatronics ruin making just being copies of the original ones has so much potential that was never really delved into with the show. The most we got of this was everyone acknowledging that the eclipse ruined made isn’t the original eclipse. Would that’s it. 

I wanted them to have a father-son relationship :D

Itoshi Brothers: U20 Edition

Part 1 to this is here! I explain my basic idealogy for Rin here, so it might be better if you that one first.

The basic tldr is: Rin doesn't see himself as an individual at all, and he doesn't seem to realise it. It's why Sae is pissed and as rude as he is, and it's why Rin feels like he's restricted.

He can be as annoyed about the "Itoshi Sae's little brother" label as he wants, but he hasn't realised he fosters it unconsciously.

Once again, this part is very very nicely covered in @/riririnnnn's post. Please go read their theories linked in Part 1 too!! And the source of this creative bug was @/boinin's work for Rin's Aura-also linked in Part 1.

This is when the realisation finally happens. He realises that he's being shadowed by Isagi constantly, watched, judged, all on the basis of what people expect of him. Of what he's imposed on himself.

And then there's this infamous panel.

No, he's not alone. And it's entirely the reason he feels as restricted as he is. Not because he's not alone- but because the second he feels like he isn't, he starts adapting those labels into himself. He needs to be Itoshi Rin if he wants to develop an ego of his own.

Everyone clap really loudly, okay- really really loudly. This man spends his entire life studying and emulating Sae and it takes him an entire year to realise that he's been doing it and see the problem in it.

Dumbass. Why am I analysing him again?

And this is what triggers his flow state. One of the craziest ones we've seen- why? Not as a flow state separately, no, but because this is what Rin is at this point in time. He may evolve, become a different person at whatever time, but at this point he's keen on finding a sense of self that isn't in relation to anyone else. Note how after the flow state- and the brutal comment Sae makes- he goes right back to "Crushing Sae Itoshi, but destroy Isagi Yoichi first". But now he's still in flow- a true, completely disconnected version of himself that is only influenced by his own thought process.

And Sae, of course, knows. I mean- it makes sense right? He's the only one who's seen Rin before he started playing football, before he became Itoshi Sae's little brother. When he really was just, Itoshi Rin.

At this point, however, he's still focusing on completely destroying expectations. An antithesis of everything he used to be called, everything he used to be. So his aura shifts to directly contradicting Sae's- it is still not his own.

This is why the unusual water theme comes in so late. It is Rin's, of course it is, but until the NEL/end of U20 he never knew of himself.

I will be skipping over the absolute trainwreck that is the ending of U20- you get it. Sae acknowledges Isagi, affirms just about every single one of Rin's insecurities, and this time repeat cycle. Destroy the target of Sae's attention, Isagi himself.

You know what the most interesting part of this all is? AFTER ALL THIS. He's learned so much, he's grown so much. Don't get me wrong, this younger sibling is learning to be his own person.

But. Then you see him in the current NEL Arc.

This fucking idiot- I mean. Ahem.

He's still thinking in terms of other people. Of course, now he's learned to separate himself from the equation, thankfully. But he's still not playing for himself. He's not "Itoshi Sae's little brother" anymore, he's the one who will "surpass Itoshi Sae and destroy Isagi".

Nagi asks the very good question of, what comes after that? Rin is no longer someone's shadow, but still thinks in terms of surpassing them, much like Nagi used to think before the Manshine vs BM Match. And this absolute nutcase. Replies.

You know, he's a stupid guy, but atleast he's honest about his thoughts. Makes it easier for me to analyse him, unlike his emotionally constipated brother.

He's describing it as a baby just born- fitting, because he's trying to find his footing after being label after label in someone else's story. Not that he was doing it intentionally, but it had become subconscious. He hasn't thought about the future, at all, because he can barely understand what he's doing now.

"Number 1? I don't care about that. What I care about is destroying you, Isagi." Well, I've rambled long enough. You get my point now. He's learning!! Like a baby bird learning to fly, very slowly. Hence the newly present water aura. This will become so much more interesting when we learn what happened to Sae in Spain, and if Rin finds out? Well. Maybe we can finally get the resolution I need them to have.

Because, god forbid they have another miscommunication. I will actually lose my mind.

But also, I'm someone who understands Rin on a really deep level because I've had similar experiences with mirroring an older sibling because I had nobody else to turn to for a role model or admire. And I tend to think of myself in terms of other people, too. So this analysis was something that came really naturally to me. I hope it was worth your time.

Your analysis of the new bllk chapter is so good! I recently got through the manga and I never got the vibe that kaiser genuinely likes ness, so I honestly wasn't surprised when we found out that he basically manipulated him. I see a lot of people saying that kaiser doesn't "see" ness and he should just turn around if he wants "love". But kaiser doesn't want worship, he wants genuine love. Love isn't the same as blind worship and imo kaiser knows this and how different ness's emotions are. By love he means beyond just his football skills (what ness worships him for) so I never really shipped them tbh.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked my analysis!! Uhh honestly I think there's more to KaiNess than that. Primarily because, both of them are using the other to fulfill their own ideals and requirements of the world, right. Ness wanted someone who would show him the magic he wanted to see, and Kaiser wanted someone who would unquestionably pass to him. Their dynamic was built on one of mutual dependencies, but it sort of twists into toxicity the more you think about it.

Honestly, I think people kinda forget that Kaiser was so... Young? Like that man was Not manipulating like a professional or with any sort of expertise. He tried, sure, and it's terrible that he did, but I'm not really about to blame him for the decisions he made as a traumatised teenager. It sucks, for him and for Ness.

But uhhh it went from Ness being the one to draw out Kaiser's magic to Ness wanting to be the only person Kaiser looked at. You remember that panel somewhere after Manshine City match where Ness was so angry that "Kaiser is looking at someone other than me"? Yeah. That's twisted, of both of them really (that entire scene gives me the icks).

As for the whole "I want to be loved" thing, honestly for starters, Kaiser isn't looking at anyone on the actual field. He's focused on himself, as he should be, and he's not going to look at anyone else for a moment as he revels in his catharsis. Maybe next chapter he'll come back to himself. And honestly I don't think Kaiser sees Ness as someone who loves him too.

Viewing this from Kaiser's rose tinted lens, it reads as him seeing Ness as the midfielder to his striker. They're a killer duo when they're both in peak shape, but Kaiser doesn't think Ness cares for him off field. He's not hoping for someone to love the Michael Kaiser, Football Prodigy. He just wants someone who loves regular Michael. We do not actually know the full extent of Ness, and I have a feeling he's a lot more twisted, too. But we'll have to wait and see. But he definitely doesn't think Ness loves him the way he wants to be loved. This may change in the next chapter.

Tldr: Their relationship is toxic.

BUT. But.

I think it can get better, if done properly. If Ness is given some development of his own, and they're given some time to properly soak in their own progressions before they come back together, I think it can be beautiful. But it'll take time and work and I'm not sure how much time Kaneshiro wants to devote to that. We're still in the middle of a match— the next goal is likely Rin's, I doubt we'll see much more of BM's side of things for a little bit now. But I do think Ness will get something or the other before this match ends.

Anyways.

I'm not toootally negative on KaiNess, nor am I totally positive? I just think it's nuanced. It can work, but with a little tweaking. Personally, I never shipped it no, I'm a KaiSae enjoyer unfortunately.

tldr; I am Chinese with parents and in-laws from mainland China that I challenge on these topics, considering ethnocentricity and how social justice can be intricate in that context, husband and I follow content creators (x and x) that embrace our stereotypes through comedy, I’m a dumbass and didn’t realize that it wouldn’t translate well onto a text-only blog where my face and background is not apparent, this is actually a very micro aggressive ask and triggered me a lot so i ranted at the end and you can read at your own risk

once again Comparing/Crossing over ROTTMNT with Something Else™. Today I bring you Fire Emblem Fates Rottmnt ! I'm thinking abt this as if it were an AU and the turtles take up the royal childrens' places. This is gonna be long, TLDR at the end.

First obv is deciding which side they're on and I do that by basing their personalities off of the other characters. So I was thinking Nohr. I think Hoshido would be a good fit for the sake of "Being The Good Guys" and Karai would make a great Mikoto, but the 4 siblings just. don't fit for the Rise Siblings, I don't think. Ryoma for Raph MAYBe works? Takumi for Leo or Donnie is like. Alright. I can't see Hinoka being anyone and Sakura is way too shy and (for lack of a better word) weak ? And I think I'd want April to be Corrin, only cuz I don't know who else Corrin could be.

I find the Nohr Siblings to be the best fit. Xander as Raph, alright I can see some differences but mainly I think it works. Camilla as Leo I think it alright. They're both laid back but deadly and. Look, they're both the face people. Kind of. Camilla is definitely self aware though. Leo as Donnie ??? literally a perfect match idc. I think it's a little funny that Leo doesn't fit Leo but oh well. Mikey for Elise also works really well I think, very friendly & the sunshine in everyone else's lives.

I have no idea who the Hoshido Siblings would be then but that's alright they don't matter here ..!! Azura I have /some/ thoughts for. My first was she's Venus de Milo (i know not rottmnt technically) but she could also just be Big Mama's Assistant since I feel like they're definitely supposed to be a turtle. I also have never read or seen anything where Venus was in so maybe their personalities don't fit at all. My second thought was Casey Jr. I don't have much to explain besides that I just . it makes sense in my head ? Like we don't know that much of Casey jr to begin with and maybe he's more excitable than Azura but !! Really don't know who else would be her !!! Someone help me !!!

April as Corrin also doesn't seem exactly right (mostly to me just cuz Corrin's the third youngest, but April's the oldest in the show) But it could still work I think kind of. Alternatively Casey could be Corrin? Might be a better fit? Then maybe April could be Azura ,, same 1st letter of their names ,,, But I think April Corrin works alright (especially if Karai is Mikoto :3) Mainly cuz I don't think April for Azura works that well, they're pretty different

Maybe the purple dragons are hoshido? or idfk the mudd dogs,, I don't think there's any other Group that has at least 3 members (besides the cookie scout girls but erm)

Look BM enjoyers! There are so many ideas small and big that would actually improve the game SO MUCH and yet still no changes that make any difference. A shopping list would make a world difference and imo i don't think compared to the other stuff they've done that it would be too difficult to make. Maybe I'm wrong? But they literally made changes to dodgebolt that helped those who struggled before BM like make it make sense?!

Like please understand we do have brains outside of what our streamer likes and see that there is a problem? Which it seems alot of people do on BOTH sides and yet still nothing. Alot of us hamm up the hate cuz being dramatic is fun but please get that there is a genuine issue with this weird stubborness they have with making any actual helpful changes to BM especially when there are so many threads out there with simple and easy ideas. Most of us love watching our streamers build in minecraft, that's not the issue. And grid runners and SoT have shown to be great communication games so that's not an issue either.

Ah yes, I’m glad you read all my rules, that one is specifically for requests like yours. I’ve seen too many scenarios of y/n being this frail thing, omega or not. For example in most of Katakuri’s she’s the stay at home wife who likes to bake and shit! But I can’t see Big Mama letting her strongest son marry some glass doll, such weakness would ruin the chances of him passing on his strength to his own children (BM all about them genes) so I see his s/o as a warrior princess who trained in the art of the sword, not the knitting needles! Then there’s Zoro who I don’t think would look twice at a delicate flower, he’s all for the chick who knocks him on his ass with her two swords! But just because I write them strong in a public setting doesn’t mean they can’t be tender in a more private one, y’know?

But what can you do.

This week on Adventurer’s League

Our regular DM was too busy so we had a substitute. So instead of doing Storm King’s Thunder we ran a Halloween-themed one-shot. (Which he plans to run again so if some of my followers are somehow PART of that group.. don’t read this post. It may contain spoilers.)

It was the usual crew, cuz no one really had time to create new characters (Well I techincally had my spare buuuuut I love Dott and I didn’t bring any spellcards for my spare, who’s a gnome wizard)

- My kobold ranger/rogue Dott and her pet wolf/horse Ttod.

- A tabaxi death cleric who may or may not be a cannibal.

- A tabaxi rogue.

- A human paladin.

- A human bard/fighter.

- A thiefling bard who acts more like a rogue.

And a new player on the table: an elven monk.

None of our bards are the stereotypical «flirt with everything»-bard, but that doesn’t mean they’re sensible human/halfdemon beings. None of our party members are... except maybe the paladin... and the monk. Don’t know much about her.

We were supposed to be ghost-catchers, heading towards a small village to investigate some strange happenings when we were attacked by a walking scarecrow and a large flock of ravens. (Whom the Cleric wanted to eat. She is a cat I suppose so its understandable.)

I was late to the session but came in just as they were fighting the scarecrow.

We managed to fight them off even though we were all on a runaway horse carriage (the horse got spooked by the scarecrow). Eventually we managed to calm down the horse as we reached the village only to be attacked by even more birds...

We ran inside some old lady’s house. She seemed very friendly, even offering us all hot cocoa (which the two tabaxi took as a murder attempt because cocoa is poison to cats).

The Thiefling Bard, paragon of virtue as she is, decided to put up a Leomund’s tiny hut on the lady’s front door... for no other reason than to block her inside the house I suppose.

We ended up taking a long rest, some of the party sleeping inside the old lady’s house, others in the tiny hut at her front door, but when we woke up the old lady was gone.

We heard some commotion outside and went to investigate, it turned out to be a witch trial, the old lady was the accused «witch» (In case you were wondering how she got out despite the Tiny Hut at her front door, there was a back door.)

Their reasons for thinking she was a witch was of course «she turned me into a newt!» and also the suspicious orb that showed up outside her house. (Thanks bard).

The Paladin wanted to try to help the old lady, and suggested using Zone of Truth... forgetting of course that Zone of truth is a spell, thus magic, thus the paladin is a witch too! But the thiefling bard managed to convince the villagers that she was actually a demigod, and they seemed to accept this.

The Paladin cast Zone of Truth (careful to keep the party outside it) but the old lady succeeded her saving throw... Then things went a bit crazy.

The Mayor suddenly slumped over dead, having been stabbed in the back, and two hags appeared, the old lady changed to her true form, she was also a hag. Surprise! They were the witches all along.

Then... the villagers all disappeared and we all found ourselves in a grey-scale version of the town were it was raining frogs, and the village was patrolled by a large frog-like monster covered in tentacles.

The bard figured out we were teleported into some kind of weird pocket dimension, but she told the rest of us we were probably all dead because again...she’s just so darn nice. And with a deception roll of 22 Dott belived her and immidiately panicked, since kobolds belive that if they die they get reincarnated within their clan...but she doesn’t have a clan, they all died... so no reincarnation for her...

After exploring the strange village we found a totem, as we moved closer so did the frog monster. Roll for initative.

It caught several of us in its tentacles, and even ended up eating poor Ttod, but we managed to bring it down. Dott immidiately cut the frog open to save her companion but it was too late...

The DM however didn’t want to basically take away half of Dott’s power as a BM ranger, so he became a ghost. So now we had a ghost-dog.

The Thiefling bard decided to shatter the totem, this immidiately got us sent back to the normal village, where the villagers were still panicing over the sudden death of their mayor and the three hags (who had of course escaped by now).

When we offered to help defeat the hags they told us to go pick up some weapons at at the graveyard, and also explore the basement of their previous herbalist who had apparently been killed by one of the witches.

We went to the basement first, and were attacked by a jar of hands, an undead brain in a jar and a mimic table.

Also the bard got a hold of a fireball wand to Dott’s great displeasure (she has a bad history with fire) and basically burned the whole room down.

Somehow we all made it out alive, and moved on to the graveyard where we had to fight a banshee...she knocked out several of us, including Dott, leading to the first time ever that Dott got knocked out and Ttod wasn’t (given that Ttod has only 27 HP at level 6 that was kinda impressive...)

The paladin was able to bring us back up however and we defeated the banshee.

Next up we went to the pumpkin patch, apparently the witches had been seen around the area.

We saw a zombie in the distance, the thiefling bard just threw a fireball at it and killed it instantly... and then we were attacked by a giant pumpkin. Killed that one too.

We then found the witches’ house. The bard threw a fireball at it. Sadly this did not instakill the witches... they just flew out of the burning house on their broomsticks.

During the following fight Ttod ran around on the ground barking because he couldn’t reach them (despite being a ghost dog the DM would not allow him to fly).

The thiefling bard decided to polymorph herself into a giant ape! But was immiditaly polymorphed again into a sheep... Another character (I think it was the other bard or the tabaxi rogue) decided to shoot the sheep so she could turn back into the ape.

The paladin also tried to throw one of the witches off her broom by using Misty Step, she managed to get ON the broom, but failed to get the witch off.

One of the other witches tried to save her sister by dragging her of the broom (she was badly injured from the fight at this point) but this promted an attack of oppurtunity from everyone within melee range (so the paladin, Ttod and the tabaxi rogue) and she was promptly killed.

This our adventure ended, the other witches got away but their coven was basically ruined at this point, so we considered it a win.

TLDR:

Our thiefling bard is an asshole, Dott nearly died from fright but got herself a ghost-dog, we fought a table and the bard got double-polymorphed.

(PS when I call the bard an asshole, I mean the character is an asshole. The player is just fine in my eyes. Most of us just play morally dubious characters. Because its funny. I love this misfit group, its my favorite to play in out of the three campaings I’m currently in.)

Alright, I'm in form 4 this year so I'm probs not entitled to give advice for SPM but hopefully, I can help with PT3.

THE PROCRASTINATOR'S GUIDE TO PT3 TLDR; PT3 sucks, ace your folios and oral assessments and bust your ass for science and maths.

I'm going to make it in list form, so based on my opinion on the difficulty on getting an A. Easy to hard.

1. FOLIOS Please for your own sake, ace your folios. The is the easiest thing you'll encounter in the whole year. Starting from 2017, (ahem the year I had the exams) the schema for the folios are only getting tougher. So, I'll talk about sejarah first. Sejarah needs to be lengthy, no peribahasa please because it doesn't help, at all.

*Do your research. I cannot stress how important this is. Ask your teacher for their criteria, it's almost the same for every year but sometimes it differs so you have to be informed. For example, in the previous years, presentations were not required for the folios, but since it was an easy A for most students, KPM decided to throw in the presentations. You have to note that invigilators will come over and judge some of the selected student's presentations and the marks allocated would be 10, so don't half-ass it.

secondly, ask your seniors on how they wrote their folios. Research on previous topics and make sure you grasp and comprehend what the topic requires you to write. Here's a vital tip, you can ask your teacher after you finish a topic for comments and on where should you improve. ( it's allowed but if your teacher is an ass then :( )

*Finish your topics on time Don't spend too much time or too little time on the parts. Follow the time your teacher allocates for you. If you manage to mess that up, be prepared to cram out a massive paper 3 like essays that will make you regret your whole month. ( My tablemate and I took it to the last minute to write out out kesan, ikhtibar and some other crap and I'm telling you, it ain't pretty. But I aced it because I wrote the drafts in advance and copied it at school. You're not supposed to know the marks but I got a 95 ;0 )

*FUCK// FHCI You need to follow the FCUK/FUCK rule and the FHCI rule. Which are faktor, usaha, cara/ cabaran and kesan rule and the faktor, huraian, contoh and inferens rule.

It's best that you make each faktor a paragraph.

* follow the format Really. FOLLOW IT. If you're not sure about it, ASK. The format's what giving you the marks esp in the first few pages.

Conclusion- This applies to geography too, but in geo. it's much harder. You have to draw maPS and use very specific keywords. I won't elaborate but you're welcomed to ask.

2. ORAL ASSESSMENT Practice makes perfect. Memorize ungkapan menarik and listen to podcasts when you can. Some final ungkapan like menyusun sepuluh jari and meminta maaf jika tersilap kata dan terkasar bahasa may seem a HASSLE, but it does score some sweet marks.

Also, READ READ READ. The topics for the oral asses. will mostly come from popular essay questions (for BM) and current issues.

3. SCIENCE and MATHS You really have to wade within the syllabus to ace this.

Reread your texts from Form 1. Do a shit load of worksheets and past years. The hard work will pay off. Reading will prove to be useful for science and the worksheets will make your PT3 maths less painful.

For science, revising some concepts out of your syllabus will help. Besides, KBAT questions can be accessed from the net so give that a lookup yeah?

4. LANGUAGES BI Get your marks at the error identification, literature components and information transfer.

Essay's a done deal if you've been procrastinating. If not, just reading constantly and brushing up your vocab will do you a lot of good since the english standard here is extremely low. No offence, Singapore PLSE's writing standards are identical to what SPM marking teacher's want to see.

BM NOVEL NOVEL NOVEL. The most beloved part of the exam, KOMSAS.  WHY? because if you understand it, you don't need to memorize it. Persoalan can be used for nilai and tema and pengajaran and etc.

Reading a lot applies to all languages really, so... yeah. Having an arsenal of peribahasa also is very useful.

Tatabahasa is kinda okay, because there will be one sure question concerning bahasa istana so go brush up on that.

I forgot about the rest.

BC ahahHAHAHA I have never received any mark higher than 65 for this damned subject but got an A for PT3. SLAVE FOR BC. PLEASE MEMORIZE YOUR MINGJU LIKE THE BACK OF YOUR HAND There are alot of tips for the pemahaman part but I'll have to explain them in every detail so ask away if curious.

and for the guwen texts..... there are a set of vocabs you have to know, and if you read the question you can get the gist of the story ( super advised) then you can start dissecting the text from there.

5. KHB I choose perdagangan because I wanted to die.

The only way out of this is to STUDY, make notes and charts and flashcards. There's a lot of ground to cover so it's best that you are familiar with your sukatan and your chosen bidang.
